'We believe the motive was robbery. And we believe the victim's wallet was taken. But for some unknown reason, the perpetrator fired two shots,' Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small said. Said one neighbor 'By the time we ran up to him, people were bandaging him, holding him... and right in the head, right in the face, there was a pool of blood.' Grandzol was transported to Hahnemann University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9.42pm.  Family members have created a GoFundMe page to help Grandzol's wife and children. The suspect in the shooting has been described as a black male in his teens or early 20s wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and tan colored pants. Normand was found dead by family members inside his condo on the 7100 block of West Pirates Cove Road on May 8 after he failed to show up to work for two days, Metro said. They found Normand dead from unknown causes, police said. Police found video footage from the night before showing Normand and McKinley leaving a Las Vegas casino together. Forensic tests later identified McKinley’s DNA on the exterior of a condom found in Normand’s condo, according to her arrest report. John Hickenlooper has indefinitely delayed the execution of convicted killer Nathan Dunlap, saying that he had doubts about the death penalty, much to the dismay of victims' families and a furious district attorney. Hickenlooper, a Democrat, said he had doubts about the fairness of Colorado's death penalty system and about the state's ability to get the lethal drugs required for an execution. Dunlap, 38, is one of three men on the state's death row. He was sentenced to death in 1996, but the victims' families say they have been waiting for justice to be carried out for nearly 20 years. Republicans have derided Hickenlooper's decision as no decision at all, with Attorney General John Suthers saying the reprieve guaranteed 'continued suffering and delayed justice' for families of Dunlap's victims. 'He took a coward's way out,' said Melinda Cromar, whose 19-year-old sister Sylvia Crowell was among those killed by Dunlap. 'I am just so angry.' A ‘very disappointed’ Bob Crowell, whose 19-year-old daughter Sylvia was killed by Dunlap, said he didn't think there would ever be total closure in the case, but believed the execution could have demonstrated to other criminals that 'they will pay the price with their lives if they perform an act like that in the state of Colorado.'   On late Tuesday, the Kansas City Star deemed the arrest of a Royals pitcher on a DUI charge more newsworthy. On Wednesday morning top honors at the Star went to a dispute over a bid for a new airport terminal. Nationally, the story has gone nowhere. 24 hours after the press conference not a single mainstream news outlet beyond Kansas or Missouri has picked up the story. The reason why should be obvious to the savvy reader. Scott is black. His five victims were all white. Imagine were the races reversed.
  
  Imagine if a young white man had stalked and executed from behind five middle-class, middle-aged black men or Hispanic men or Muslims or gay men and told the police when arrested, “They didn’t see it coming.” Within 6 hours the story would have been trending on Twitter. Within 12 hours every other Republican in Congress would be groveling before a microphone denouncing racism, homophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacism—you name it.
