Texas Governor Abbott threatens (Hispanic female democrat) Austin sheriff over "sanctuary cities" policy with immigrants AUSTIN, Texas - Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Monday told Austin’s sheriff that her jail would become the first in the state to lose taxpayer money over so-called “sanctuary cities” policies unless she reverses plans to curtail working with federal immigration authorities by February. The governor has previously threatened other “sanctuary cities” in Texas, and ultimately did not withhold funds. Newly elected Travis County Sheriff Sally Hernandez on Friday - in a defiantly timed announcement after Trump was inaugurated - said starting Feb. 1 she would end her predecessor’s policy of honoring all jail detainers sought by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Hernandez is a Democrat whose campaign in Texas’ most liberal city partly ran on promises to change how detainers are handled. |

(Black) Milwaukee man gets only 30 years for murdering (White) woman for only $20 As Gregory Wood walked toward a table to address a Milwaukee County judge, everyone in the courtroom could read the back of his T-shirt. "My daughter was murdered for $20." As he described the lasting sorrow of losing his 32-year-old daughter, Rebecca Wood, a photo slideshow of her played silently on a screen in front of Deanthony Bradley, the man who pulled the trigger. "You have ripped out my heart and soul," Wood said. "In killing her, you have also killed me." Bradley, 21, pleaded guilty in November to first-degree reckless homicide in what the prosecutor described as a "senseless" act in which Wood was treated as "a simple cash machine you can go to and get money from and if they're hurt in the process so be it." On July 13, Bradley's uncle provided him a gun, telling him and two other men — William J. Bounds, 26, and Jeremiah A. Flowers, 18 — to go rob someone. Cases remain pending against Bounds and Flowers, who are charged with armed robbery-use of force, and Bradley's uncle, Carlando Anton Mukes, 36, who is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon. - (Black-on-white) |

(EVIL Black) Man who killed (white) girlfriend and her two innocent White children - rape of 8-yr-old girl - to spend life in prison BANGOR, Maine — The man convicted of murdering his girlfriend and her young son and daughter more than two years ago in the Garland trailer they shared was sentenced Thursday at the Penobscot Judicial Center to life in prison. Keith Coleman, 29, also was sentenced to 20 years in prison for sexually assaulting the girl. “Life is the only appropriate sentence,” Superior Court Justice Ann Murray said in imposing the sentence. “Since his initial interview with detectives, Coleman has shown very little remorse for these crimes. I find the defendant’s actions after the murders callous, cold and calculated.” The judge said that after strangling Christina Sargent, 36, and her children, 8-year-old Destiny Sargent and 10-year-old Duwayne Coke, on Dec. 20, 2014, Coleman drove to Bangor and returned a remote-controlled car purchased as a Christmas gift for the boy. - (Black-on-white) |
