What we know about the Bobbie Maples buried-body missing-person murder case - white woman's dead body found - black man charged MUSKEGON COUNTY, MI – Information about the death of Bobbie Roselyn Maples, whose body was found in January 2016 more than a year after she went missing, continues to come out drop by drop, more slowly than in many murder cases. One piece became public with the charging of Ronald Earl Williams, 35, a Michigan Department of Corrections prisoner, with open murder in Maples' death. After Williams was charged, the affidavit for the search warrant that led to discovery of Maples' buried body was unsealed. That Jan. 22 affidavit, a sworn statement written by Roosevelt Park Police Officer Robert Sypien, cites Williams' 41-year-old sister, Ronesha Aunu Williams, as the source of the tip that led to Maples' body being unearthed. In his statement to a Muskegon County 60th District Court magistrate, the officer said he had spoken with Ronesha Williams that day. She told the officer that she had visited her brother at a home on Michillinda Road around the time Maples was reported missing. "While at the Michillinda Road address, Ronesha Williams observed a large object rolled up in a comforter, estimated by Ronesha to be at least a queen size comforter," Sypien wrote. Later, Ronesha Williams said, she spoke with her brother's girlfriend, Tara Lynn Glaser. Glaser allegedly told her that around the time of Maples' disappearance, "Ronald Williams buried an object at 5265 Nestrom Road in the area of a detached pole barn, and that Ronald Williams then poured concrete over the object that had been buried." Bobbie Maples was involved in a "relationship" with Ronald Williams. - (Black-on-white) |

(Negro) Suspect acted erratically before killing police dog, 2 people, police report says Las Vegas - The man who police say shot and killed two people and a police dog Thursday was visiting his mother and yelling that people were after him and he was being followed in the hours before the shooting. James Craig Simpson, 31, was shot several times by four different officers, including the police dog’s handler. Simpson had put the gun on the street but picked it back up when the police dog started coming after him. He grabbed the gun and started running, and it was then that police say he turned around and fired toward the officers, who shot back. Brandon Hughes and his mother, Felecia Wimberly-Hughes, were identified as the homicide victims in the police records. Public records show that the two lived nextdoor to Simpson’s mother. Emergency crews were dispatched just before noon Thursday to 9848 Fast Elk St., near Log Cabin and North El Capitan ways. The two bodies were found inside the home. The arrest record said that Simpson called his mother, Twila Oliver, in the middle of the night to pick him up. Oliver sent a taxi for him. About 6 a.m., Oliver was woken up by a knock at her bedroom door. It was Simpson, and he was holding a handgun she had never seen before. Simpson began yelling at her that people were after him, were following him and were outside. Simpson continued to act erratically, and his mother’s directives for him to put down the gun and leave were ineffective. She called police at 12:07 p.m. |

Black Man says brutal beating of black transgender A man charged with the vicious beating death of a transgender woman in Harlem told cops he did it in a “blind fury,” it was revealed Thursday at a hearing in Manhattan Supreme Court. James Dixon, 25, allegedly confessed to Detective Heriberto Vasquez shortly after the Aug. 17, 2013, attack, the cop testified. “A couple of days before this incident, I got fooled by a transgender and this could have led to this incident, [this] blind fury,” Dixon allegedly wrote in a statement, the officer said. Dixon and some pals had chatted up some women “thinking they were girls” on Eighth Avenue near the corner of West 148th Street. “I asked the one I was talking to if she was a guy,” Dixon allegedly wrote in the statement about Islan Nettles, 21. When the curvy beauty said yes, Dixon became so enraged, he pushed her away and punched her in the face, knocking her down, then punched her again, he admitted, according to Vasquez. “I told the other transgender person, ‘You want some too?’” Dixon allegedly said. When Nettles fell, she hit the pavement with such force that she sustained a serious brain injury, according to Assistant District Attorney Nicholas Viorst. But Dixon continued to pummel her as she lay on the ground unconscious, prosecutors have charged. Nettles died five days later at Harlem Hospital. |

Convicted black killer chuckles at sentencing hearing as (White) victim's father weeps GRETNA, La. - A man convicted of fatally shooting a witness and then burning his home to cover up the crime was sentenced to 55 years in prison Monday, according to the Jefferson Parish district attorney's office. Jacoby Maize was sentenced in court for shooting Justin Hendricks Jr. in his Old Jefferson home on April 25, 2011. Maize was convicted after prosecutors said he shot Hendricks, after Hendricks called 911 while witnessing Maize pistol-whipping his wife. Justin Hendricks Sr., the father of the victim, gave an impact statement saying that he had waited five years for the day he could confront his son's killer in court. Hendricks Sr. said his son bravely called 911 to report what he saw, putting himself in danger. "Did he think his life was in peril?" Dr. Hendricks was asked. “Yes, but he did it anyway.” Hendricks was emotional during the testimony, crying from the witness stand as Maize chuckled, according to a spokesman for the district attorney's office. A Jefferson Parish jury on March 4 convicted Maize as charged of the murder, aggravated arson, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, aggravated second-degree battery, witness intimidation and aggravated assault. The aggravated second-degree battery, aggravated assault and witness intimidation involve Maize’s wife, whom he shot at, beat and threatened if she told anyone that he killed Hendricks, according to trial testimony. After rejecting Maize’s attorneys’ request for a new trial on Monday, Judge Henry Sullivan of the 24th Judicial District Court handed down the mandatory life sentence for Hendricks’ death. Sullivan sentenced Maize to 15 years for the aggravated second-degree battery, 20 years for each of the firearm charges, 40 years for witness intimidation, 20 years for aggravated arson and 10 years for aggravated assault. - (Black-on-white) |

Cops: (White) Delivery man murdered for pizza, not money - (by two black soulless urban savages) LAWRENCEVILLE, GA. - A pizza delivery man was murdered for pizza, not money. That’s what a Gwinnett County Police Detective testified to in a preliminary court hearing Friday. Jermaine Young, 21, and Reginald Lofton, a 14-year-old who is charged as an adult, were ordered to be bound over to Superior Court for a murder trial. Detective Matthew Kenck testified that police have yet to determine whether Young or Lofton shot and killed 28-year-old Shane Varnadore. Kenck said both suspects blame the other for the shooting that happened on March 1. The two suspects sat in Gwinnett County Magistrate Court, in stark contrast to what anyone would have expected. Young appeared visibly shaken as Detective Kenck recounted how Varnadore was shot and killed. Lofton, a mere child, never flinched, appearing stoic and nonplussed while the detective described what led police to their arrest. It was a food order found on the ground near Shane Varnadore's body and it had a phone number on it that was traced to the apartment where the suspects lived. Kenck said police got a warrant and searched the apartment. “In plain view we saw one of the pizza boxes associated with this food order that was in the apartment in plain view,” Detective Kenck said. ng evidence when the SWAT team served the warrant. He said the handgun used to kill Varnadore was found in a pancake box that was hidden behind a washer and dryer. Teresa Varnadore, the victim’s mother, sat in the courtroom as the detective explained why her son was killed. “Mr. Varnadore was found to have some cash in his pocket, I think $62, if I'm not mistaken,” Detective Kenck said. “At the time, it appeared that all that had been stolen was the pizza.” - (Black-on-white) |
