(Pointy-headed black) Man convicted of 1977 murder (of White man) given new sentence OMAHA, Neb. - A man sentenced to life in prison for murder was given a new sentence on Monday. Fifty-three-year-old Kelvin Anderson was only 15-years-old when he shot and killed Robert McGinnis during a robbery in 1977. On Monday, Anderson was resentenced to 82-100 years and will be eligible for parole in three years. He will be eligible for release in 11-12 years. Anderson had hope after serving 38 years of his life sentence. His attorney argued that Anderson had not intended to use the gun with McGinnis was murdered. He took a guilty plea to save his older brother from a life in prison or the electric chair. Attorneys argued that Anderson was mentally low-functioning. The prosecution argued that he had been involved in other criminal activity and, at the time of the homicide, he had escaped from the Iowa juvenile system. Prosecutors also argued that Anderson knew they were going to commit a robbery and that he took the gun. District Judge Mark Ashford said this case was "a robbery and an assassination" before resentencing Anderson to 82-100 years. Family members of the man killed said otherwise. Charles McGinnis, the brother of the homicide victim, said, "They should have left it as it stands. It was a murder assassination robbery." Anderson headed back to prison after the resentencing on Monday, but the victim's family could go through these painful memories again in three years when Anderson is up for parole. A 2013 U.S Supreme Court decision mandated it's unconstitutional for juveniles to receive mandatory life sentences without parole. - (Black-on-white) |

Pratt, formerly of Ohio, had answered a Craigslist ad, and five days before the murders had moved into the third-floor apartment Brown and Lee shared in the 6400 block of North Sacramento Avenue, prosecutors have said. Emergency crews were called to the apartment about 3:45 p.m. that day following reports of a fire. The two roommates were found lying next to each other on a bed, wrapped in blankets. Cops were able to lift fingerprints from the items, the sources said. “He had bought paring knives and kitchen knives and said he was going to stab people,” NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce said at a Tuesday press conference at police headquarters. “Clearly he is a disturbed man and should never have been out in the street.” - (Black-on-white) |

(Black) Double cop killer taken off death row An unrepentant gang member on death row for killing two NYPD officers scored a stunning reprieve Tuesday when a federal judge ruled he was too “intellectually disabled” to be executed. Ronell Wilson “has demonstrated significantly subaverage intellectual functioning” that legally exempts him from capital punishment, Brooklyn Judge Nicholas Garaufis wrote. Garaufis accepted defense claims that Wilson was “intellectually disabled,” which the judge called the “accepted terminology” for what used to be called “mentally retarded.” “These deficits arose during Wilson’s developmental period, and they persisted through the time of the crime,” Garaufis wrote. Garaufis then resentenced Wilson, 33, to life in prison for the 2003 murders of undercover Detectives James Nemorin and Rodney Andrews during a gun buy-and-bust operation on Staten Island. |

Austin police to fire (black) officer who shot, killed (black) nude teen AUSTIN, Texas – An Austin police officer who fatally shot an unarmed, naked 17-year-old last month will be fired, Police Chief Art Acevedo announced Monday. In a memo outlining the disciplinary action, Acevedo said Officer Geoffrey Freeman violated department policy in the shooting of David Joseph -- that he should not have confronted the teenager alone, that his decision to draw his weapon wasn't warranted and that there were other ways he could have stopped Joseph after the teen began charging at the officer. Freeman's lawyers with the Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas say they will appeal. The general counsel for the group has said Freeman feared for his life when he fired his gun at Joseph. |

Black Sports: Darren Sharper likely to get 15-20 years under new plea deal in serial rape cases - over at least three states NEW ORLEANS -- A federal judge Tuesday formally accepted Darren Sharper's plea deal in a drug and rape case, making clear to the former NFL star that she could sentence him to 20 years in prison. U.S. District Judge Jane Triche Milazzo had earlier rejected a deal that could have meant a nine-year sentence. Attorneys say federal sentencing guidelines call for a sentence in the range of roughly 15 or 16 to 20 years. Prosecutors said in court Tuesday that they may recommend a lighter sentence, based on Sharper's cooperation in related cases. Sentencing was set for June 16. In addition to his federal guilty plea, Sharper has pleaded guilty or no-contest in state courts to charges that he drugged and sexually assaulted women in Arizona, California, and Louisiana. Those charges involve nine victims, but Milazzo said in court earlier this month that there may be as many as 16. Sharper has been sentenced to nine years in Arizona but still awaits formal sentencing in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and in state and federal courts in New Orleans. - (Black Sports) |

Video leads to arrest of (black) woman who used underwear as holster in Detroit shooting DETROIT, MI -- An bizarre and nearly deadly shooting at a Detroit gas station about 4:30 a.m. Sunday was caught on high-definition surveillance video. The woman pulls the gun from her undergarment and begins to fire at two men inside another vehicle -- one of them apparently asleep or passed out and shirtless -- causing the driver to roll over another man who was pushed to the pavement in the car's path. Officials said the driver was struck by multiple bullets but not fatally injured. |
Violent, mentally ill (black female) attacker could be set free Of all the things Maritza Dowe has endured over the past decade, this is the hardest. She has never seen her grandson Beau's big brown eyes. Nor has she seen the faces of two other grandchildren. "I can't see them," she said. "It breaks my heart." In July of 2006, Marilyn Walker entered a Belltown medical clinic armed with a butcher knife. She randomly attacked Dowe, stabbing her 22 times and blinding her. Dowe had to be revived by paramedics, twice. "It affects my whole life, my whole family," she said. "It affects my soul." Walker was found not guilty by reason of insanity and sent to Western State Hospital indefinitely. For the second time in four years, she is up for release. That possibility sends chills down Dowe's spine because this isn't the first time Walker has had a violent episode. She has a history of arson and assault. Walker has been hospitalized at least four times for psychiatric issues, including schizophrenia. She was locked up at Western State previously and attacked Dowe three years after her release. If set free, Dowe is convinced it's only a matter of time before Walker strikes again. "Maybe the next person she attacks, when she strikes, she will kill," she said. |

Death penalty sought in Oxford Drive homicide (of White woman in the apartment below the home invasion) Prosecutors announced four suspects in the death of a 19-year-old woman will be facing the death penalty when they go to trial. The group of 19-year-old Lillian Barnett, 19-year-old Aaron Stailey, 21-year-old Lamont Wilkerson and 20-year-old Christopher Robinson were set for a trial in May, though there is a motion pending to try them separately. Barnett dropped the three others off outside the apartment building and waited in the parking lot while they went to apartment 47, where Justin Meadows lived. Meadows told police someone knocked on his door, but covered the peephole. When they refused to uncover it, he got his gun and opened it to find three men wearing ski masks and hoodies. Meadows said he tried to slam the door when they tried to rush into his apartment, but Robinson’s gun got stuck. Eventually, Robinson allegedly forced his way into the apartment and fired. Meadows told police he fired one shot, which struck Robinson in the chest. During the incident, a bullet went through the floor and into the apartment below, killing Amber Caudill. Meadows and Crayvone Ritchie, who was also in the apartment, were both shot but survived. During preliminary hearings in Clark District Court, police said they believed the men went there to steal marijuana from Meadows. - (Black-on-white) |

At the time, Mortensen was installing a fence at a school near Ward's apartment complex, Magnolia Court Condominiums. Mortensen, whose lung reportedly collapsed and who had a bullet lodged near his heart, was transported to Florida Hospital in grave condition. Orange County Sheriff's Office Deputies said in a report that Ward told them he tried to offer Mortensen $400 as 'compensation for the injuries.' Mortensen's wife had a baby just four days ago. (Black) Man charged in pistol whipping of (White)officer to plead guilty to federal gun charge A Birmingham man charged with attempted murder of a police officer in last summer's pistol whipping of a detective plans to plead guilty Tuesday to a federal gun charge. Janard Shamar Cunningham, 35, was indicted in January by a federal grand jury on one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and one count of receiving stolen firearms. Under a binding plea agreement filed Friday in federal court, Cunningham will plead guilty to the convicted felon being in possession of a firearm charge. The receiving stolen firearms charge will be dismissed under the plea deal. On Aug. 7 Birmingham Police Detective Johnny Brooks was on duty driving an unmarked police car when the driver of a maroon-colored GMC Terrain approached from behind at a high rate of speed and began to tailgate the detective's car.... Witnesses reported Brooks had followed Cunningham into the shopping center. Cunningham stopped in front of the DTLR Clothing Store, exited his vehicle with a DTLR bag and approached Brooks and began cursing, yelling "F... the police." Cunningham denies approaching Brooks or yelling at the officer, the witnesses reported. Cunningham then punched Brooks in the face and as the two men struggled, Cunningham drew Brooks' service pistol from its holster, grabbed the barrel, and struck Brooks a number of times with the pistol until the officer was unconscious, witnesses reported. Cunningham took the pistol and left the scene, the witnesses said. Brooks sustained serious physical injuries, including a severe concussion, neck injuries, a black eye, and cuts to his head that required 17 staples to close. Brooks woke up in the hospital five hours later. Brooks did not return to work for more than two months and still experiences some short-term memory loss, according to the plea deal. . - (Black-on-white) |

Mom of (schizo colered half-breed homeless panhandler) accused in judge attack 'living with a broken heart' CENTER CITY -- The mother of the man who is accused of attacking a Pennsylvania Supreme Court justice near Philadelphia City Hall talked about the struggles she's had with her son. James Paulk, 26, allegedly struck Judge Kevin Dougherty in the face after asking him for money on Friday night. Paulk was arrested a short time later aboard a SEPTA train. His mother, Delores, opened up about her son's struggles with schizophrenia that, she says, left him homeless and may be to blame for the attack. "I'm sorry it happened. I've prayed for the judge, but it may be James' cry for help, knowing he is going to get locked up," Delores said. His diagnosis at 19 changed everything. Delores says she's committed him numerous times, but he quickly checks himself out. "We tried to help but he wouldn't follow through with outpatient care, follow through with medications." Living on the streets since October, James doesn't recognize his illness, according to his mother, who plans to ask the judge hearing his case to order the mental health help. "He can't keep making decisions that are to his own detriment." James Paulk faces simple assault and reckless endangering charges. - (Black-on-white) |

(Black sex-pervert) arrested for flashing people on Beale Street MEMPHIS, TN - A man has been arrested after flashing people on Beale Street. Near 10:45 p.m. Saturday, an employee at Tater Red’s said a man ran out of the store after stealing items. Officers found the man and did not find any stolen items on him. However, the man was wearing a “one piece tight fitting red outfit with holes in both the crotch area and buttocks area,” according to the affidavit. Police said Beale Street was very busy at the time and there were many kids walking around and the suspect, 21-year-old Artrell Hinkley, made no attempt to cover himself. Police also received complaints that said Hinkley was placing his naked behind on store windows and shaking his genitals at people. | ||
(White liberal female) Judge blasts city in firing of teacher charged with raping kid A Manhattan judge known for pro-teacher rulings may overturn the firing of a middle-school teacher accused of bedding her 12-year-old student because she says the city did not play fair. Supreme Court Judge Alice Schlesinger blasted the city Department of Education, saying it apparently used evidence sealed after teacher Claudia Tillery was acquitted in a criminal trial. “I do agree that a teacher having a relationship with a 12-year-old boy, or a girl, is way, way, way beyond acceptable,” Schlesinger said in a hearing last week. “But they had no authority to unseal a sealed record.” |
