She said Weathers subjected her to oral and vaginal sex “more times than she could count.” |
(Black) Bronx pol announces side job on same day as Skelos conviction Bronx Assemblyman Michael Blake announced Friday that he’s taking a job as a political consultant — without leaving office. The first-term Democrat’s hiring at Hilltop Public Solutions comes amid calls for a ban on such outside income following the convictions of ex-Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver and ex-Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos. The state Legislative Ethics Commission approved the job, concluding that it would not conflict with his legislative duties. Michael Benjamin, who preceded Blake in the same Assembly seat from 2003 to 2010, criticized the arrangement. “This isn’t appropriate given the climate we’re in,” he said. “Not everything that is legal is appropriate for a sitting lawmaker.” Blake, who worked on President Obama’s campaign, defended his new gig. |

(White) Boy escapes (black) would-be kidnapper in Liberty County, suspect on the run LIBERTY COUNTY, Texas - People in Liberty County are concerned after a man tried to kidnap a 7-year-old boy near his home Tuesday. Investigators think the same man may have raped a woman and tried to kidnap another. The incidents happened in Dayton along County road 48-82 and FM 1413. Heather Gordon has three children and like most, the thought of losing one of them is indescribable. "At night I hold him tight because he could've been gone," she said. Investigators said 7-year-old Luke was walking down the road to a friend's house when a red truck pulled up. "The guy told Luke 'Well come on, I'll take you for a joy ride,'" Gordon said. Detectives said the man grabbed the boy's shoulder and tried to pull him into the truck and his mother saw it happen. "I fell to my knees. I was shaking so bad," Gordon said. "I was running down there crying, hollering his name, he wasn't answering." Thankfully, Luke broke free and ran immediately to a neighbor's home. The denoscription of the suspect and his red pick up is vague but investigators believe the man driving the car is also responsible for the rape of a 30-year-old woman somewhere along FM 1413, just west of Dayton. Investigators said a man driving a similar pick up has twice tried to lure a woman into his truck while she was jogging near her home in Liberty. "The similarities between the black male driving the red truck is so close and similar, it's possible these three are tied together," said Captain Ken DeFoor of the Liberty County Sheriff's Office. - (Black-on-white) |

As part of a plea agreement, Ailsa Jackson is expected to be sentenced to 30 to 33 years in prison in exchange for testifying against Sgt. Michael Walker, who has pleaded not guilty to murder and is scheduled to go to trial next year. They discussed making Catherine Walker’s death look like a burglary or having her drink something, Jackson said. Last year, as Catherine Walker slept in the Aliamanu Military Reservation home she shared with her husband, Jackson stabbed her multiple times with a kitchen knife, Assistant U.S. Attorney Thomas Brady said. The killing was carried out with malice and was premeditated, he said. - (Black-on-white) |

Catholic Priest paid his male ‘sex master’ from collection plate: lawsuit A Catholic priest swiped collection-plate donations to pay for drug-fueled sex romps with a heavily muscled S&M “master,” a new lawsuit charges. Parishioners claim the Rev. Peter Miqueli has stolen at least $1 million since 2003 while leading churches on Roosevelt Island and in The Bronx, where he is currently pastor of St. Frances de Chantal in Throggs Neck. Their suit alleges he used the money to act out unholy fantasies as a sexual “slave,” blowing $1,000 at a time on bondage-and-discipline sessions where a “homosexual sex ‘master’ ” — identified in court papers as Keith Crist — “would force Father Miqueli to drink Keith Crist’s urine.” |

Detectives were called to an abandoned home in the 11000 block of N. Engelwood Street. Suspect Accused Of Intimidating Witness With Violent Imagery In Rap Video COATESVILLE, Pa. — An employee of the Chester County Juvenile Probation Department is accused of Witness Intimidation. Authorities allege she went into to a courtroom on behalf of her boyfriend, to tell a potential witness in a drug case against him, not to show up at an upcoming hearing. Twenty-three-year-old Chanel Turner was a receptionist in the Chester County Juvenile Probation office. Investigators say when her boyfriend, accused Coatesville drug dealer, 25-year-old Kenneth Wylie, told her a witness against him in a pending case was in the Justice Center, she went to a courtroom, found that potential witness and said, “Hey, don’t come to court tomorrow.” When he questioned her, she told him, “War said don’t come to court tomorrow,” and referenced Wylie’s preliminary hearing on drug sales. Assertions of Hate Crime in Seattle After a (Black Muslim) Somali-American Teenager Falls to His Death SEATTLE — The Seattle Police Department said Wednesday it was investigating the death of a 16-year-old Somali-American boy who died Saturday after a fall from a balcony near Seattle Central College, where he had been taking classes. This (false rumor) was spread (by blacktivists) online through a hashtag on Twitter and Facebook, #Justice4Hamza. On Wednesday, scores of protesters, including members of the boy’s family, who are Muslim, marched to the local police precinct shouting for justice and calling the death a possible hate crime. (Black) Man Acquitted In Shooting Death Of Aspiring (White) Teacher PHILADELPHIA — A jury has acquitted a 37-year-old South Philadelphia of all charges in the June 2008 murder of a Minnesota man who came to the city to become a teacher. Marcellus Jones yelled “thank you” to the jury while the victim’s family, in town for the trial, wept after the verdict was read. Defense attorney Richard Giuliani applauded the panel for sticking strictly to the evidence in a case in which the defendant is already a convicted killer. “When a defendant testifies and brings out that he has five prior robbery convictions and denies the involvement of the killing of someone else where he’s already been convicted, that was difficult. But apparently the jury focused on the evidence in this case, which I’m grateful for,” said Giuliani. With no DNA or other physical evidence, prosecutors relied heavily on witnesses’ testimony. Despite the verdict, Jones isn’t going anywhere. He’s serving a life sentence for murdering the man suspected of driving the getaway car the night Beau Zabel was shot to death and robbed near the Italian Market. |

(Black) Fresno man sentenced to death for rape, murder of (White) teen girl in 1985 Eddie Ricky Nealy, whom a prosecutor called one of the most dangerous men in Fresno County’s history, was sentenced Friday to California’s death row for the 1985 rape and killing of Fresno teen Jody Lynn Wolf. Judge Arlan Harrell’s voice cracked and he nearly cried in Fresno County Superior Court when he announced Nealy’s death sentence. Nealy, 58, received the death penalty after a jury in September 2013 convicted him of rape and the first-degree murder of 14-year-old Jody, whose nude body was discovered floating face up in a southwest Fresno canal on Aug. 15, 1985. The runaway was wearing only knee-high socks. An autopsy revealed she died of blunt-force trauma to the back of her head and had been dead at least two days. In its decision, the jury said Nealy should be executed for killing Jody. “It was a cold, vicious murder in the commission of a rape,” Harrell said in announcing Nealy’s punishment. The judge said there was evidence presented at Nealy’s trial that showed he had killed Mary Charlotte Barnett in July 1988, but Nealy never was tried for it. Barnett’s nude body was found in a southwest Fresno field. She was hogtied and had a purse strap and brassiere tightly wrapped around her neck. The coroner said Barnett died as a result of ligature strangulation and had cuts, bruises and fractures on her face, as well as on other parts of her body. Nealy’s other convictions included three rapes, one robbery and child abuse. - (Black-on-white) |
