Texas Sheriff's Deputy Darren H. Goforth Killed 'Execution-Style' at Gas Station - (by "dark-complected" man) A uniformed Texas sheriff's deputy was shot and killed at a gas station late Friday in what police called a bizarre incident. Harris County Sheriff's Deputy Darren H. Goforth, 47, had just come out of the convenience store of a Houston Chevron gas station where he had filled his patrol car when a man "walked up behind him and literally shot him to death," Sheriff Ron Hickman said at a news conference. After Goforth fell to the ground, the suspect stood over him and fired several more times. "It appears to be an unprovoked execution-style killing of a police officer," Hickman said. The deputy leaves behind a wife and two children. - (Black-on-white) - (Blue lives matter) |

Jury says 'guilty' in trial of (black ex-con) accused of drive-by slaying (of White woman) Brian W. Hill didn’t show any emotion on Friday when a Franklin County jury convicted him of killing a woman in a drive-by shooting last year in North Linden. He’s been through the experience before. In 1991, a jury found him guilty of aggravated murder for killing a man during a drug deal. Hill, 47, spent 18 years in prison for that slaying. This time, he could be sentenced to life without parole. The jury in the drive-by case convicted Hill of aggravated murder, attempted murder, felonious assault and tampering with evidence. Patricia Pallenberg, 54, died when shots were fired into a truck in which she was a passenger on the night of Feb. 11, 2014. The driver of the truck was not injured. Witnesses at the trial included Hill’s co-defendant, Terry R. Nichols. He testified that he was driving a pickup truck with Hill as a passenger and told Hill to shoot at another truck, mistakenly thinking that the occupants included a man with whom he had a dispute. One bullet struck Pallenberg in the head. The driver of the truck that came under fire, Robert Beck, identified Hill in court as the shooter. - (Black-on-white) |

(Black) Man charged in fatal tire iron beating (of White man) near Magnolia Anthony Dwayne Rideau, 41, of Magnolia, was being held Wednesday on $300,000 bond on charges of murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to the county sheriff's office. Authorities allege that Rideau used a tire iron to batter and facture the skull of Aaron McMahon, 31, until he lost consciousness. Then, they allege, Rideau turned the weapon against the victim's 58-year-old father, Michael, who was "incoherent" when authorities got there. Emergency workers tried to resuscitate the son, but he was pronounced dead soon after arrival at a Tomball hospital. His father was also treated there for injuries that authorities said were incapacitating but not life-threatening. His condition was not available Wednesday evening. The McMahons were walking with their fishing poles and became upset when Rideau sped past them. As Rideau's Dodge Magnum passed, one of the McMahons tapped the car's windshield with his fishing rod and damaged it. Rideau told authorities that he was driving to get some food when he spotted the two fishermen and "moved to the side" to avoid them. But when he realized his windshield had been broken, he jerked his car to a stop and got out to confront the father and son. Their verbal disagreement soon turned "physical," a sworn search warrant affidavit says. Rideau said the McMahons punched him in the face and kicked his stomach before he returned to his car. He drove a few miles down the road and stopped, retrieving his tire iron as he exited his car again. He contends that he had seen the older man with a knife. At that point, the affidavit says, Rideau told authorities that he was in "gladiator mode." ..... When investigators asked Rideau why he returned to the scene of the confrontation, the affidavit states Rideau told them that he was the only black man living in that neighborhood and he wanted to "show" them that he was not someone to mess with. - (Black-on-white) |

('Gay' black racist) shooter (of 3 unarmed White victims) was ex-employee of news station The man who shot and killed a reporter and cameraman on live television this morning is believed to be a former employee of WDBJ in Virginia. Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe stated in a press conference that police have the man's name and license plate number, but had chosen not to release the information. Shortly thereafter, the man was identified by police as Vester Lee Flanagan. A source who was at the press conference at which Flanagan was identified as the suspect says, “He was described as a light skinned black male, with brown eyes and black hair, 6 foot 3 inches tall and approximately 250 pounds. They believe he is armed with a handgun.” McAuliffe says that police are in "active pursuit" of the suspected shooter and will likely have him in custody within the hour. Flanagan is said to be traveling on I-64, which runs east to west across Virginia. Little is known about Flanagan at this time, and it is unclear if he intended to target victims Allison Parker, 24, and James Ward, 27, or if he simply had a grudge against WDBJ in general. Flanagan also shot Vicki Gardner, a local chamber of commerce representative who was being interviewed on the air. She is currently undergoing surgery, and is expected to survive. - (Black-on-white) - (White lives matter! - web) - (White lives matter - images) |

Reward offered for whereabouts of black suspect in 2012 murder of White grandmother A $2,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a man wanted on homicide charges stemming from the 2012 robbery of a Wilson woman. Quadir Shahidd Taylor, 28, is charged with homicide, robbery and other offenses in a warrant filed this month after a grand jury investigation. Two gunmen awoke Carrie Smith, 76, in the middle of the night Jan. 15, 2012, and threatened to shoot her as she struggled to open a safe for them inside her Hillside Avenue home. Smith suffered from a number of health ailments, but doctors ruled her death was due to complications as a result of the robbery. Rebecca L. Johnson, Smith's granddaughter, and Johnson's ex-boyfriend, Rogel I. Suero, 33, were convicted of murder and other charges by a jury in October 2013. They were sentenced to life in prison without parole. Johnson's cousin, David Bechtold, 21, of Wilson pleaded guilty last year to conspiracy to commit robbery. He was the group's getaway driver. He received a sentence of one to two years in jail and five years of probation and has been released from prison. Bechtold testified against Johnson and Suero at her trial, but couldn't identify Taylor other than by the street name, "Avon." However, Johnson testified before a grand jury in June and identified Taylor as "Avon," and admitted meeting Suero and Taylor at a barbershop where, she said, they split up more than $42,000 in loot. Anyone with information on Taylor's whereabouts is asked to call the Lehigh Valley Crime Stoppers at 1-800-426-TIPS, Northampton County detectives at 610-559-3042, or Wilson detectives at 610-258-8542. |

Update: Son of Victim Testifies in Trial of "Odd-job" Man Charged in Home Invasion Death Amherst Co., VA - The Commonwealth's Attorney says while Norma Jean Freeman and her son Allen Freeman were both fighting for their lives, Edward Marshall was having sex at a hotel. Marshall’s murder trial started Monday in Amherst County. 10 witnesses took the stand after jury selection. Testimony started with the two people Allen Freeman called for help when he woke up from the attack. Witnesses that January night testified Norma Jean was alive and "pulling at her wounds" with blood everywhere in the bedroom. She ended up dying at the hospital. An investigator shared photos of her in court. She was so badly beaten that she was unrecognizable and her brain was exposed. Allen Freeman shared with the court his long-term injuries, including hearing loss, memory loss, difficulty speaking and putting sentences together, and psychological trauma. He has no memory of the attack or ride to the hospital. Police arrested Edward Leroy Marshall and Sheri Merrill the next day, after they spent the night in a hotel in Lynchburg. The Commonwealth says Marshall was having an affair with Merrill at the time and gave her a Kroger gift card to buy lunch. That gift card was traced to belong to Allen Freeman. Police also collected a pair of jeans from Merrill’s house. Merrill says Marshall left them there after they had oral sex. The Commonwealth says both Marshall's and Merrill's DNA were found inside the jeans, and Norma Jean Freeman's blood was found on the front of the jeans. - (Black-on-white) |

It lasted less than two weeks but she said it was filled with lots of difficult evidence and testimony. “It’s been a difficult month,” she said. I have no doubt in my mind that he was guilty and justice was being served,” Linder said. Watson will be sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for murder, sexual abuse, robbery and identity theft. - (Black-on-white) |

Police Identify (black) Husband As Suspect In Killing of his very pregnant wife MAPLEWOOD, Minn. – Maplewood police are asking for the public’s help in locating the husband of a woman shot dead in the family’s townhouse early Sunday. The couple was heard in a heated argument around 5:30 a.m., just before 41-year-old April Tennin was shot to death. On Monday, investigators named 31-year-old Todd Larry Tennin as a suspect in the killing. Tennin has an extensive criminal history and was out on parole from the Moose Lake Correctional Facility. Sunday’s shooting death of the mother of four has rocked this close-knit townhome neighborhood. Family and friends had the grievous task of gathering personal belongings for the Tennin’s three children. Neighbors awoke to the kids screaming out in the street that their mother was dead. “The impact on these kids is unimaginable,” Police Chief Paul Schnell said. Police say Todd Larry Tennin is wanted in connection with his wife’s death. Police recovered two vehicles they believe he was driving, but Tennin remains on the run. Tennin has a lengthy criminal record, including assaults, child endangerment and weapons violations. He was released from prison on a firearms violation in 2014 and was still on parole with Department of Corrections when Sunday’s shooting occurred. “The circumstances are such that probable cause can be established in this case, making Tennin a suspect,” Schnell said. Family members of April Tennin are now caring for her three underage children. They ask for privacy and to keep the family in your prayers. |

Kelsie Schelling's boyfriend named person of interest in her disappearance in new court documents PUEBLO, Colo. - New court documents show Kelsie Schelling's boyfriend is considered a person of interest in the case – which contradicts earlier claims by the Pueblo Police Department. Schelling’s parents filed a lawsuit earlier this year accusing Donthe Lucas of "wrongful death" and Pueblo police investigators of "deliberately obstructing" the investigation of the "killing" of the pregnant Denver woman. Schelling vanished on the night of Feb. 4, 2013, after she drove to Pueblo to meet her boyfriend, Donthe Lucas, to tell him she was two months pregnant with his child. Lucas, a 6-foot-8 former basketball star at Pueblo's Central High School and Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, has never been arrested or charged in connection with her disappearance or presumed death. In new court documents, the lawyer representing the city and the officers named in the lawsuit said Lucas is a person of interest. Schelling’s body has not been found. - (Black-on-white) |
