('Gay' black racist) shooter (of 3 unarmed White victims) was ex-employee of news station The man who shot and killed a reporter and cameraman on live television this morning is believed to be a former employee of WDBJ in Virginia. Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe stated in a press conference that police have the man's name and license plate number, but had chosen not to release the information. Shortly thereafter, the man was identified by police as Vester Lee Flanagan. A source who was at the press conference at which Flanagan was identified as the suspect says, “He was described as a light skinned black male, with brown eyes and black hair, 6 foot 3 inches tall and approximately 250 pounds. They believe he is armed with a handgun.” McAuliffe says that police are in "active pursuit" of the suspected shooter and will likely have him in custody within the hour. Flanagan is said to be traveling on I-64, which runs east to west across Virginia. Little is known about Flanagan at this time, and it is unclear if he intended to target victims Allison Parker, 24, and James Ward, 27, or if he simply had a grudge against WDBJ in general. Flanagan also shot Vicki Gardner, a local chamber of commerce representative who was being interviewed on the air. She is currently undergoing surgery, and is expected to survive. - (Black-on-white) - (White lives matter! - web) - (White lives matter - images) |

Reward offered for whereabouts of black suspect in 2012 murder of White grandmother A $2,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a man wanted on homicide charges stemming from the 2012 robbery of a Wilson woman. Quadir Shahidd Taylor, 28, is charged with homicide, robbery and other offenses in a warrant filed this month after a grand jury investigation. Two gunmen awoke Carrie Smith, 76, in the middle of the night Jan. 15, 2012, and threatened to shoot her as she struggled to open a safe for them inside her Hillside Avenue home. Smith suffered from a number of health ailments, but doctors ruled her death was due to complications as a result of the robbery. Rebecca L. Johnson, Smith's granddaughter, and Johnson's ex-boyfriend, Rogel I. Suero, 33, were convicted of murder and other charges by a jury in October 2013. They were sentenced to life in prison without parole. Johnson's cousin, David Bechtold, 21, of Wilson pleaded guilty last year to conspiracy to commit robbery. He was the group's getaway driver. He received a sentence of one to two years in jail and five years of probation and has been released from prison. Bechtold testified against Johnson and Suero at her trial, but couldn't identify Taylor other than by the street name, "Avon." However, Johnson testified before a grand jury in June and identified Taylor as "Avon," and admitted meeting Suero and Taylor at a barbershop where, she said, they split up more than $42,000 in loot. Anyone with information on Taylor's whereabouts is asked to call the Lehigh Valley Crime Stoppers at 1-800-426-TIPS, Northampton County detectives at 610-559-3042, or Wilson detectives at 610-258-8542. |

Update: Son of Victim Testifies in Trial of "Odd-job" Man Charged in Home Invasion Death Amherst Co., VA - The Commonwealth's Attorney says while Norma Jean Freeman and her son Allen Freeman were both fighting for their lives, Edward Marshall was having sex at a hotel. Marshall’s murder trial started Monday in Amherst County. 10 witnesses took the stand after jury selection. Testimony started with the two people Allen Freeman called for help when he woke up from the attack. Witnesses that January night testified Norma Jean was alive and "pulling at her wounds" with blood everywhere in the bedroom. She ended up dying at the hospital. An investigator shared photos of her in court. She was so badly beaten that she was unrecognizable and her brain was exposed. Allen Freeman shared with the court his long-term injuries, including hearing loss, memory loss, difficulty speaking and putting sentences together, and psychological trauma. He has no memory of the attack or ride to the hospital. Police arrested Edward Leroy Marshall and Sheri Merrill the next day, after they spent the night in a hotel in Lynchburg. The Commonwealth says Marshall was having an affair with Merrill at the time and gave her a Kroger gift card to buy lunch. That gift card was traced to belong to Allen Freeman. Police also collected a pair of jeans from Merrill’s house. Merrill says Marshall left them there after they had oral sex. The Commonwealth says both Marshall's and Merrill's DNA were found inside the jeans, and Norma Jean Freeman's blood was found on the front of the jeans. - (Black-on-white) |

Jury convicts (black) suspect for rape, murder of prominent (White) Lakewood lawyer GOLDEN, Co. — Jurors convicted Warren Watson on all counts in connection with the murder of prominent Lakewood lawyer Claudia Miller. In March 2013, a cleaning crew found Miller’s body in a storage closet at her office. Watson was accused of posing as a client to rob, rape and murder her. A jury convicted him of those charges. “He started shaking and crying. He had his head down,” explained juror Penny Linder. Linder was one of 12 jurors charged with deciding Watson’s trial. It lasted less than two weeks but she said it was filled with lots of difficult evidence and testimony. “It’s been a difficult month,” she said. When it came time for deliberations, however, she said the verdict was simple. “It was totally unanimous on every count. I have no doubt in my mind that he was guilty and justice was being served,” Linder said. Watson will be sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for murder, sexual abuse, robbery and identity theft. - (Black-on-white) |

Police Identify (black) Husband As Suspect In Killing of his very pregnant wife MAPLEWOOD, Minn. – Maplewood police are asking for the public’s help in locating the husband of a woman shot dead in the family’s townhouse early Sunday. The couple was heard in a heated argument around 5:30 a.m., just before 41-year-old April Tennin was shot to death. On Monday, investigators named 31-year-old Todd Larry Tennin as a suspect in the killing. Tennin has an extensive criminal history and was out on parole from the Moose Lake Correctional Facility. Sunday’s shooting death of the mother of four has rocked this close-knit townhome neighborhood. Family and friends had the grievous task of gathering personal belongings for the Tennin’s three children. Neighbors awoke to the kids screaming out in the street that their mother was dead. “The impact on these kids is unimaginable,” Police Chief Paul Schnell said. Police say Todd Larry Tennin is wanted in connection with his wife’s death. Police recovered two vehicles they believe he was driving, but Tennin remains on the run. Tennin has a lengthy criminal record, including assaults, child endangerment and weapons violations. He was released from prison on a firearms violation in 2014 and was still on parole with Department of Corrections when Sunday’s shooting occurred. “The circumstances are such that probable cause can be established in this case, making Tennin a suspect,” Schnell said. Family members of April Tennin are now caring for her three underage children. They ask for privacy and to keep the family in your prayers. |

Kelsie Schelling's boyfriend named person of interest in her disappearance in new court documents PUEBLO, Colo. - New court documents show Kelsie Schelling's boyfriend is considered a person of interest in the case – which contradicts earlier claims by the Pueblo Police Department. Schelling’s parents filed a lawsuit earlier this year accusing Donthe Lucas of "wrongful death" and Pueblo police investigators of "deliberately obstructing" the investigation of the "killing" of the pregnant Denver woman. Schelling vanished on the night of Feb. 4, 2013, after she drove to Pueblo to meet her boyfriend, Donthe Lucas, to tell him she was two months pregnant with his child. Lucas, a 6-foot-8 former basketball star at Pueblo's Central High School and Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, has never been arrested or charged in connection with her disappearance or presumed death. In new court documents, the lawyer representing the city and the officers named in the lawsuit said Lucas is a person of interest. Schelling’s body has not been found. - (Black-on-white) |

McCullin will also reinstate driver’s license for all defendants who lost their license for failing to appear in court or failing to pay a fine, pending final disposition of the case. Blacks make up about two-thirds of Ferguson’s 21,000 residents. |

Mother reacts to son’s accused killer reaching potential plea deal: “He shouldn’t be…free while I die inside” MILWAUKEE — A baby boy is killed, authorities say at the hands of his babysitter. Saturday, August 22nd we are hearing from the mother for the first time. The family has been told the accused killer has reached a plea deal — and they are not happy. Angelica Burkett left her 20-month-old baby in the care of someone she trusted. But she says he broke that trust and now Burkett has been told the child’s accused killer has struck a deal. For the past eight months, Angelica Burkett has been living in agony. In early January, the mother of three left her kids with a close friend while she went to work. “I left them in someone’s care, whom I trusted,” said Burkett. But she returned to find police and paramedics at her home — her middle child, Kayden, was badly beaten. The 20-month-old later died at the hospital. “My son was in perfect health when I left him there and I expected him to be that way when I got home and he was not,” said Burkett. The babysitter, Preston Nelson, was arrested and charged with homicide. According to a criminal complaint, Nelson told police he “pushed (Kayden) in the chest, hit him in the head and shook him in the room.” “He ruined a lot of people’s lives,” said Burkett. |

Random stabbing attacks on Whites in Bloomington lead to attempted murder charges against berserk black man BLOOMINGTON — A Bloomington man will be arraigned Aug. 28 on attempted first-degree and aggravated assault charges, stemming from what authorities say were random attacks on three people Wednesday afternoon in downtown Bloomington. Formal charges were leveled Thursday against Jason Hopkins, 35. The attempted murder charges accuse Hopkins of stabbing a man with a knife. One victim is a Pantagraph employee who was working outside the building. He remains hospitalized with two stab wounds. Another man was allegedly stabbed by Hopkins prior to that attack. He was a tourist from Germany and was struck and then stabbed in the knee as he stood near the McLean County Museum of History. He was treated and released from a local hospital. A third man, 82, was allegedly knocked to the ground by Hopkins as he worked at the museum. The aggravated battery counts relate to the stabbings of the two men and the minor injuries to the museum volunteer. Hopkins is accused of assaulting the three victims in what appears to be random attacks. The knife recovered by police and believed to be the weapon used is about 4 inches long, said Chambers. - (Black-on-white) |

The Retrial of a (Black) Texas Corpse-raper Imprisoned Despite an Overturned Conviction Jerry Hartfield, 59, has been in prison since 1977 even though his original murder conviction was overturned in 1980. A Texas jury found him guilty of the crime for a second time. In 1977, a jury convicted Hartfield, who is black, of the 1976 rape and murder of Eunice Lowe, a white 55-year-old bus-station ticket agent in Bay City, Texas. Three years later, Texas’s highest criminal appeals court overturned the conviction, citing jury selection issues, and ordered a retrial—an order the prosecution fought for years. Before that retrial began, however, then-Texas Governor Mark White commuted Hartfield’s death sentence to life imprisonment in 1983. There was only one catch: Because Hartfield’s original conviction had been vacated, he legally had no death sentence for the governor to commute. But since no one realized this at the time, or for decades afterward, Hartfield stayed in prison and served the commuted life sentence without retrial. Hartfield, who reportedly has an IQ of 51, did not realize he was serving a life sentence. - (Black-on-white) |

Daughter of White woman raped and murdered by black says mother was ‘an educated woman’ The daughter of a 49-year-old woman stabbed to death last week in downtown Hilo said her mother was “an educated woman,” and media denoscriptions of her as a homeless person do her life and memory a disservice. Chloe Caron said her mother, Danielle Caron, originally was from Pacific Palisades, an affluent Los Angeles neighborhood, but spent almost two decades in Santa Cruz., Calif., before moving to the Big Island a couple of years ago. “She graduated from college with a master’s (degree) in teaching,” Chloe Caron said. “She’s talented. She’s artistic; she can draw. She has a genius IQ. She’s a loving woman with an addiction problem. She moved to the Big Island. I lived on Kauai for five years. I moved her out there myself to give her a new opportunity to change for the better. When I moved her out to Hawaii, I was with her for about a month, so I know that she was sober. For a while, she was working on an organic farm and she was trying to pretty much survive.” Chloe Caron said she last talked to her mother about a month ago. “When I read the news, it breaks my heart to read ‘homeless woman murdered.’ That’s not who she was,” Chloe Caron said. “She had a lot to give people. She was kind. She wasn’t a homeless addict who robbed people or anything like that.” Curtis Hodges, a 35-year-old man from Shiloh, Ill., was arrested Friday at the Hilo Bay Hostel and charged with Danielle Caron’s murder. Surveillance video of the area led to his arrest, police said. - (Black-on-white) |

Update: Second Suspect In Cathedral Robbery Arrested The missing suspect in a robbery and assault at St. Cecilia Cathedral has been identified as Larry Leggett, 20, and he is now in police custody, along with Wayman Clark. Police say that shortly before 3:30 Friday afternoon officers with the Metro Area Fugitive Task Force located Leggett in the 4700 block of North 36th Avenue. They say he tried to run from the rear of a residence when officers announced themselves but the home was surrounded. He ran back inside. Police say Task Force members were then able to talk Leggett into surrendering. He was arrested without further incident and booked for robbery. Police say they were able to identify Leggett as their missing suspect through a combination of Crime Stoppers tips and the work of the Task Force, the OPD Gang Unit and Robbery Unit Detectives. Police say 22-year-old Clark was one of two men seen on surveillance video who ran up behind the 76-year-old victim. One grabbed her purse and the other punched her in the head, knocking her to the floor, causing a gash that sent her to the hospital. Prosecutors say it was Clark who threw the punch. They say they did not file assault charges in this case because the robbery charge carries more time. - (Black-on-white)s |

James Dickerson forced one of the victims to tie up the other with bedsheets before he tied her up and sexually assaulted both of the women multiple times. During the crime, Donald Dickerson assisted his brother with the assault. When the third victim arrived, he was forced inside at gunpoint, tied up and ordered not to move while the Dickersons continued to sexually batter the female victims. State attorneys said when one of the victims tried to fight back, she was shot in the head. |

The vote on the verdict was 11-1 on a not guilty verdict, according to defense attorney Greg Isaacs.
