Sheriff: (Black drug-dealing) Children's father's 'lifestyle' to blame for Holly Hill deaths ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC - The sheriff of Orangeburg County says the father of the three children shot in a fatal Holly Hill shooting is responsible for two of their deaths because of his "lifestyle." Sheriff Leroy Ravenell announced Christopher Wright faces a total of five new charges: three counts of unlawful neglect of a child, one count of trafficking cocaine base and one count of obstruction of justice in connection with the July 15 shooting that left two of Wright's children, his fiancee and another man dead and a third child wounded. Ravenell told reporters he wished he could say he had the shooter in custody. "I can't do that today," he said. But Ravenell then minced no words in accusing Wright of being responsible for letting the murders happen. "This case is directly connected to his style of living: drug dealing," Ravenell said. "He placed his children in an environment that was dangerous. We can prove that he sold drugs from this location." Two of Christopher Wright's children, Shamekia Sanders, 17, and Tamara-Alexia Perry, 14, were killed in the shooting. A third child, an 8-year-old was injured and remains in the hospital. Wright's "fiancee", 28-year-old Krystal Hutto and a fourth victim, 50-year-old Jerome Butler were also killed. A second man, Robert Bailey, 35, was arrested. A third man, 26-year-old Michael Deroaknel Smith, Jr. was also arrested. - (Black-on-white) |

( Evil black) Man accused in stabbing had stalked, threatened (white) woman A fatal stabbing outside a Walgreens on Wednesday night followed stalking and a death threat from a man who had been romantically linked to the slain woman, according to a Las Vegas police report. The attack was caught on the pharmacy's surveillance cameras. Leonard Woods, 46, and Josie Kate Jones, 41, of Las Vegas, had been in a relationship for nine years and lived together "on and off," Jones' teenage daughter told Metro detectives in the arrest report. The daughter, 15, also said Woods had threatened her and her mother plus a younger sibling, telling them that he was going to kill them and burn their house, according to the report. He told Jones numerous times that "he would hurt her if she tried to leave him." The daughter told police she and Jones went in the store to buy juice after the girl's cheerleader practice. Surveillance video, Metro said, shows Woods driving up to the Walgreens about 8:15 p.m., a minute or so after Jones and her daughter got there. Woods is then seen hiding between the SUV Jones drove and another vehicle then jumping out at Jones as she tried to get back into her car, police said. Jones called out Woods right before the attack, the girl told police. She also said she thought Woods was only shaking her mother, the report said, before realizing Woods was stabbing her as he repeatedly yelled "b----." That is when the girl ran inside the store to ask for help, police said. Witnesses told detectives that they saw a man chasing a woman in the parking lot and originally thought they were playing around. Later, witnesses told police in the report, they realized the woman was being attacked. The man yelled, "F--- you b----, I told you I would find you," witnesses recounted to detectives. Jones was stabbed in the upper body multiple times, police said. - (Black-on-white) |

Twin gets 5 years in prison for robbing ‘sugar daddy’ A Manhattan judge Thursday sentenced one of the teen twin sisters accused of tying up and robbing an 85-year-old man they met on a sugar-daddy website to five years in prison. Justice Michael Obus told Shaina Foster, 18, he would not grant her youthful offender status, which would have sealed her criminal record. “This is a case in which far worse results could have happened if the victim had not been rescued,” the judge said in Manhattan Supreme Court. Shaina, who hatched the sinister scheme and brought her sister Shalaine along for the ride, copped to robbery in the second degree in June as part of a plea deal. The evil twin met retired lawyer Paul Aronson on the SeekingArrangement.com website, which pairs rich men with young gold diggers, and brought Shalaine to their Oct. 1, 2014, date. The trio headed back to his luxury five-story townhouse on East 38th Street for what he hoped was some naughty fun. Instead, the sisters, then 17, tied Aronson to a coffee table, swiped his credit cards and $500 in cash and went on a shopping spree. The widower writhed on the floor for 20 hours before a friend discovered him. |

Tennessee lesbian couple faked hate crime and destroyed own home with arson for insurance claim, jury rules A lesbian couple faked a hate crime that left their home a pile of charred rubble at their Venore, Tenn., property in 2010, local reports said. An insurance company caught on to the ruse months after the blaze and accused Carol Ann and Laura Stutte of perpetuating a hoax and blaming the fire on their neighbor, the Knoxville News Sentinel reported. A federal jury ruled in favor of the insurance company’s belief that the couple spray-painted an anti-gay slur on their own garage to spin the fire as a hate crime based on their sexual orientation. The homeowners intended to bank on an insurance claim of more than $276,000, American National and Casulty Company alleged in court documents obtained by the News Sentinel. - (Hatecrimes) |

'Angry and obsessive' (black) thug faces life behind bars for shoving his (white) lover to her death through window of his 14th-floor flat An 'angry and obsessive' thug is facing life in jail for shoving his girlfriend to her death through a 14th floor window. Dora Matthews, 43, was heard screaming 'let me go' moments before she plummeted to the pavement from the living room window of the flat in Wood Green, north London. Long-term partner David Douglas, 44, was caught on CCTV a few minutes later fleeing the building barefoot and clutching a can of lager. The couple had a turbulent relationship and had been arguing in the early hours of the morning shortly before Ms Matthews was killed, a court heard. Douglas denied murder but was found guilty by a jury after nearly ten hours of deliberation. He now faces a lengthy jail sentence or even life in prison. Prosecutor Mark Dennis QC said the victim was heard screaming before she dropped from a 'comparatively small' window in the living room of Douglas' 14th floor flat. Santa Cruz 8-year-old girl SANTA CRUZ >> As a sharper picture formed Thursday of a shy 15-year-old raised in a troubled and sometimes violent home, Adrian Jere Gonzalez appeared in court for the first time to face charges of raping and killing 8-year-old Madyson Middleton. A.J., who appeared sullen in court, did not enter a plea for the six felony charges he faces for tying, beating and brutally assaulting his young neighbor. Gonzalez’ mother is Reje “Reggie” Dimailig Factor. When Factor was in her 20s, she met a man from Santa Cruz or Santa Clara county while living in her native Philippines, Jovich said. They broke up in 1994 because she caught him cheating. Factor fought her rival and was convicted of misdemeanor fighting in a public place. Factor, whose first language is Tagalog, often struggled to find work, Jovich said. Factor met Abraham Lomeli Gonzalez, who was born in Mexico, and together they had A.J. in October 1999. In June 2001, when A.J. was not yet 2 years old, Abraham Gonzalez was arrested on suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor battery in a relationship. Thursday in Santa Cruz County Superior Court, A.J. for the first time addressed felony charges that include murder with a special allegation of lying in wait, kidnapping, forcible rape, lewd acts with a child younger than 14 and sexual penetration with an instrument. |
