(Black) Suspect in April murders of (White) Metairie father, son faces more trouble after accusations of masturbating in jail A New Orleans teen charged in the April murders of a father and son in their Metairie home was rebooked late last week on an accusation that he was masturbating in his Jefferson Parish jail cell while looking at a guard. The parish Sheriff’s Office on Friday booked Dexter Allen, 17, on one count of obscenity, which is punishable by between six months and three years in prison as well as with a fine of between $1,500 and $2,500. Allen is in jail awaiting trial on two counts of second-degree murder in the deaths of 56-year-old David Pence and 25-year-old Nicholas Pence, who were fatally shot just before midnight April 22 in the living room of their Whitney Heights neighborhood home during a break-in. On Friday, the Sheriff’s Office said in a report, Allen was gazing at a guard while stroking his penis until he complied with an order to stop. The exposure of one’s genitals in jail in a manner “that is patently offensive” qualifies as obscenity under Louisiana law. Allen and a co-defendant, 18-year-old Haraquon Degruy, were in court on the double murder case Monday, but the hearing was reset for Nov. 17. Both defendants have pleaded not guilty in the case. - (Black-on-white) |

(White) White Rock Lake runner - hacked to death by berserk black - remembered as kind, hardworking engineer David Stevens worked hard as an engineer and inventor, and he loved to run. The 53-year-old would jog and go for long bike rides with his wife on the weekends, neighbors said Wednesday. But police say Stevens’ jog Monday morning at White Rock Lake had fateful, unfortunate timing. A former Texas A&M football star, Thomas Linze Johnson, 21, picked Stevens, "completely at random", and hacked him to death with a machete-type weapon, police said. - (Black-on-white) |
