A Collierville man was arrested after sex-related crimes were reported inside a college library. Memphis Police say the 17-year-old victim was fondled before the suspect attempted to rape her inside the library at Christian Brothers University. Olumide Adedipe, 21, is behind bars and held without bond Friday. He is charged with both sexual battery and attempted rape. The victim told officers Adedipe touched her inappropriately, exposed himself to her, and caused her to fear being raped. Adedipe has been arrested several times before, including twice on the University of Memphis campus for simple assault and theft of property.

- Rape charge added against Greensboro black
GREENSBORO — Authorities today charged a man held in the Guilford County jail with first-degree rape in a December incident. According to online records, bond for Fuquan Aman Delvin, 31, has increased by $500,000 to $800,000. In addition to the rape charge, prosecutors added charges of assault of a female and first-degree kidnapping against Delvin, according to warrants. Delvin had been held since March on charges of assault on a female, second-degree rape, crime against nature and breaking and entering.

- Fort Worth black gets life in rape, shooting case
FORT WORTH — A Tarrant County judge sentenced a convicted felon to multiple life sentences Friday for sexually abusing a teenage relative and raping and shooting his next-door neighbor, who survived. In July, Anthony Devern Session, 37, of Fort Worth pleaded guilty to sexual assault of a child, aggravated kidnapping, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, vehicle theft and aggravated sexual assault. The judge gave Session three life sentences, one for each of the sexual assault cases and one for the kidnapping case. Westfall also sentenced him to 20 years in prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm and two years in state jail for vehicle theft.

- Brackenridge black accused of sexually abusing 8-year-old girl
Allegheny County Sheriff deputies arrested a Brackenridge man inside an Arnold apartment for allegedly sexually abusing an 8-year-old girl. Brandon Cargile, 32, was found in an attic of an apartment in an alleyway garage along Woodmont Avenue. Cargile had appeared in the sheriff's department “most wanted” web page.He was taken to the Allegheny County Jail without bond to await arraignment on the new charges. The authorities are alleging that in June the girl told an adult that Cargile exposed himself to her and took her pants off. Deputies allege she was able to stave off an assault when she “retreated” to her mother

A Pensacola man was arrested this morning on child pornography charges after investigators determined he had downloaded sexually explicit pictures and movies of children from the internet onto his home computer. Calvin Louis Bridges, 28, was charged with 14 counts of possession of obscene material/child pornography. He was booked into the Escambia County Jail on a $28,000 bond.

A St. Louis man faces disturbing charges of sexual abuse of a child after police tracked him down through a cell phone video. Police say an unknown person discovered a 30-minute video on their cell phone of Norman Pearson and a 13-year-old girl engaged in sexual acts. According to court documents, Pearson knowingly recorded the abuse on a phone that did not belong to him.

- Black sentenced to 50 years in prison for rape of woman in Elizabeth
A man released in 2008 after serving 17 years on a rape conviction is now likely to spend the rest of his life in prison after he was sentenced to 50 years for the kidnapping and sexual assault of a woman in Elizabeth in 2009. Donald Andrews, 43, must serve at least 85 percent of his sentence — or more than 42 years — before he is eligible for parole, according to the terms imposed Friday by state Superior Court Judge Stuart Peim.

The strange legal saga ended when the judge declared a mistrial. Baxter Tisdale, however, won’t be getting a new shot at freedom. Instead, he accepted a plea deal. Nine years in prison. He had faced up to 22 years behind bars if convicted of armed sexual battery. “We don’t want the victims to have to testify in a new trial,” said Miami-Dade prosecutor Natalie Snyder. “They want to put this behind them.” Tisdale, 51, was arrested last year after Miami-Dade police cold-case detectives linked him through DNA to the separate rapes of two women, who were attacked by a knife-wielding intruder in the Southridge neighborhood. After they were shown photo lineups, the women recalled Tisdale from the neighborhood.

- Greensboro black faces charges of rape, statutory rape
Bond was set today at $500,000 for a man accused of having sex with a girl younger than 13, according to arrest warrants. Police arrested Demetrius Donte Keitt, 30, of 1701 16th St., Greensboro, in connection with incidents in July and August, according to the warrants. Keitt was charged with first-degree rape, indecent liberties with a child and statutory rape, according to online records.

WARREN, Mich. - An 18-year-old man has been arraigned after police say he raped and robbed a young mother after she got off the bus Wednesday night on Van Dyke. Naqunn Blount is facing several charges including First Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct, Robbery and Identity Theft. He is being held on $750,000 bond. Investigators say the 26-year-old woman was on her way to pick up her two-year-old son when she heard someone right behind her. When she turned around, she was attacked. "He grabs her by the hair from behind, she has a cut mark across her throat. He drags her into an alley." That's where police say the young mother was raped.

Two years after he raped a woman near Pioneer Park, Major Thomas was sentenced Thursday to 30 years in prison. Thomas, 58, was found guilty in August during a trial in the sexual battery incident dating back to Sept. 24, 2011. The victim was walking home near the park when Thomas stopped her, grabbed her arm and threatened to hurt her is she would not go with him. Thomas took her outside a vacant building in the 900 block of Florida Avenue, where there were sheets and bedding on the ground. After he raped her, the victim was able to run away.

- UK: Sami Tesfay Raped 12-Year-Old He Groomed Online
A man has been detained indefinitely under the Mental Health Act after subjecting a 12-year-old girl to a horrific sexual attack, Scotland Yard said. Sami Tesfay, 22, groomed his victim on a social networking site before meeting her in person and persuading her to come home with him. He then raped the young girl in a stairwell on January 23. Tesfay, of Lewisham, south east London, has a history of "beguiling" vulnerable youngsters and gaining their trust, police said. He was found guilty of rape in July and was sentenced at Woolwich Crown Court on September 20, Scotland Yard said. - (UK)
