NYC pizzeria worker who was allegedly beaten by enraged BLACK customer and his VICIOUS dog is in a coma, coworkers don’t accept apology
A Manhattan pizzeria worker who was allegedly beaten by an enraged customer and then mauled by the man’s dog is in a coma, according to his angry colleagues who said they don’t accept his accused assailant’s apology.
Zakaria El Sherief was attacked by a pit bull at Roma Pizza late Aug. 19, police and sources said. At Roma Pizzeria Saturday, an employee who gave his name as Rodrigo told The Post during a lunch rush that El Sherief was “still in the hospital” and “in a coma,” per his manager, who has been visiting the pizzeria worker since the attack. Rodrigo said the vicious assault — which was caught on surveillance video — shook workers. “Not safe,” he said when asked how he felt after the incident. The brutal beatdown was set in motion when El Sherief told the crazed customer the dog wasn’t allowed in the eatery, cops and sources said. The dog’s owner, Tyshaun Watson, 35, was hit with an attempted murder charge for allegedly pummeling the employee, authorities said. The suspect muttered “sorry” when he was cuffed, cops said. Asked if his colleagues accepted Watson’s apology for the assault, he said bluntly, “Hell no!” A sign warning customers that dogs weren’t allowed in the pizzeria had been torn down, although Rodrigo wasn’t sure by whom. “Nobody cares. Nobody listens. We have a sign over here — they took it off,” he said with disgust. El Sherief tried to wave off Watson for bringing his dog inside the Flatiron eatery, sparking a heated argument, according to sources. Watson flew into a rage, kicking and punching the worker, cops said. The dog then hopped on top of the injured worker, biting him several times all over his body, according to the video and sources. Watson also went back and kicked the worker in the head several times, according to footage of the attack. The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, intubated and unconscious, sources said. Watson was charged with attempted murder and assault with attempt to cause disfigurement or dismemberment, police said. “Sadly, since August 19, 2024 Zach has been in the hospital in ICU under critical condition with brain bleeding and is unable to move the left side of his body,” according to a GoFundMe started for El Sherief to help pay his medical bills. The fundraiser has brought in $7,010 of its $50,000 goal. |

A Florida woman has been accused of murdering her boyfriend’s 9-year-old daughter — after her home security cameras caught her beating the girl and getting her 103-pound Rottweiler to maul her, according to authorities.
Tyshael Elise Martin, 34, claimed to have discovered little Jamaria Session unresponsive when she went to wake her up for a family vacation to California on June 17, WESH 2 reported. But investigators sought out footage from their Montverde home’s security system because the little girl was covered in cuts, bruises, burns and even bite marks, the outlet said. The footage showed Martin egging on a 103-pound pet Rottweiler that then “viciously attacked” the helpless youngster, WESH 2 said, citing the probable cause affidavit. Martin was also seen kicking the girl until she was motionless, as well as dragging her across the floor and hitting and shacking her, the affidavit said. “I’m fixin’ to kill her,” she appeared to say during the vicious attack, officials said. Sessions’ death was ruled a homicide after the Medical Examiner stated blunt force trauma to the head and thermal injury to the foot as the cause of her death. The youngster — the daughter of Martin’s boyfriend, Lojuan Sessions — was frequently subjected to punishments such as prolonged wall sits, being struck with objects, and other forms of abuse, investigators later learned, according to the reports. Lake County Sheriff’s Office called it “the worst case of aggravated child abuse we’ve ever seen,” according to Fox 35. |

Accused BLACK AFRICAN serial killer dubbed ‘vampire’ and suspected of killing 42 women escapes custody
An accused Kenyan serial killer dubbed “a vampire” and suspected of murdering 42 women has escaped from custody with 12 other detainees, officials said Tuesday.
Mohamed Amin, the head of the nation’s Directorate of Criminal Investigations, said Collins Jumaisi Khalusha of Kenya and other suspects from Eritrea had been allowed to escape from Nairobi’s Gigiri police station with the help of eight officers, including the station commanders. Officials claim the inmates cut through wire mesh in their cells and scaled a perimeter wall, with top brass only learning of the escape when officers went to the cells to serve the detainees breakfast. “Our preliminary investigations indicate that the escape was aided by insiders, considering that officers were deployed accordingly to guard the station,” Amin said. “This was a high-value suspect who was to face serious charges,” Amin said of Khalusha, 33 — whom police have described as “a vampire, a psychopath.” “We are investigating the incident and will take action accordingly,” Amin said. The breakout occurred after officials ordered Khalusha to remain under police custody for another week as detectives continued to investigate the 42 homicides linked to him. A violent career criminal who allegedly murdered his twin sister in New Jersey last week was cut loose on bail earlier this year after shooting a bystander in the back during a running gun battle in Manhattan.

Hagley, 26, is locked in the Bergen County Jail’s psychiatric ward after cops say he fatally shot twin Naomi Hagley in his family home on Hickory Street in Teaneck on Thursday, according to jail records and the county prosecutor’s office. It’s not clear what sparked the killing. But when cops arrived at the quiet suburban home minutes from Manhattan, they found the mortally wounded Naomi with three gunshot wounds — and the twins’ father saying they came from Hagley’s handgun. About eight months ago, Hagley allegedly shot a man in the back as he chased two other men during a gunfight in Harlem, according to the Bergen Record. |

(Black) Kansas City man sentenced to life in prison for murder at Overland Park gas station
OLATHE, Kan. (KCTV) - A Johnson County judge sentenced a Kansas City, Missouri, to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Zarrell Semaj Finley, 26, was convicted of first-degree murder for a 2022 gas station shooting. On July 31, 2022, the Overland Park Police Department said it was called to the BP gas station at 8698 College Blvd. with reports of shots fired. When they arrived, they found Shaquille J. Jackson, the victim, was seriously wounded. He was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced deceased by medical officials. Witnesses told police the suspect, later identified as Finley, had sped away from the scene in a Toyota Highlander before police arrived. Finley was found, arrested and charged with murder in the first degree and felon in possession of a firearm. |

A Paris, Texas, father has been charged with attempted capital murder after he allegedly gave his infant child gasoline to drink, police say.
The Paris Police Department told Fox News Digital 24-year-old Edgar James Bridgemon was also charged with evading arrest. On Saturday, officers responded to the 1300 block of Pine Bluff Street to help Paris Emergency Services. Police learned that a 4-month-old infant was allegedly given gasoline to drink by Bridgemon. After learning who the father was, officers saw Bridgemon fleeing on foot. After a brief pursuit, he was taken into custody. Police said Bridgemon admitted to giving the infant gasoline to drink, intending to end the child’s life. He was arrested for attempted capital murder and later processed and jailed. |

Illegal alien FAUX 'Migrants' arrested in knifepoint rape of woman near Coney Island boardwalk
Two suspected illegal immigrants were charged Sunday in a knifepoint rape near the Coney Island boardwalk. Authorities said the assailants attacked a 46-year-old woman and beat up her boyfriend who tried to intervene.
New York City police said David Davon-Bonilla, 24, from Nicaragua, and Leovando Moreno, 37, from Mexico, were taken into custody following the incident. Mr. Davon-Bonilla is facing charges of rape and sexual abuse on top of assault, menacing and weapons offenses. Mr. Moreno was charged with assault and weapons charges, and he will be psychologically evaluated at a hospital. Authorities said the attack happened on the corner of Surf Avenue and West 16th Street at about 9 p.m. when two men shoved the woman to the ground. Police said one of the suspect’s held a knife to the woman’s throat while he raped her. The woman’s 34-year-old boyfriend, who left her briefly to go buy a coffee, tried to fend off the suspects once he spotted the assault taking place. One of the suspects hit the boyfriend in the head with an unknown object as he ran toward his girlfriend. Police said they arrested Mr. Davon-Bonilla first, and later took Mr. Moreno into custody. Both men are thought to be homeless. |

Arthur Burton was put to death because Texas juries believe the punishment should fit the crime," said Harris County DA Kim Ogg.
In July 1997, 48-year-old Nancy Adleman a mother of three went jogging along white Oak Bayou. Burton confronted her, forced her into a nearby wooded area, and was attempting to rape her when Adleman heard someone approaching and screamed. That's when he strangled her with her own shoelaces. Investigators say Burton confessed saying she asked me why I was doing it and that I didn't have to do it. "She asked him if he knew God and she forgave him, and he murdered her," Ogg said. "He went back to the scene several times because he heard her coming back to life." Nancy Adleman's family attended the execution. "Her husband, her oldest son, her brother," said Ogg. "Arthur Burton looked entirely different today than he looked in the hearing about his mental health and well being. His last ditch effort to use intellectual disability to escape the death penalty." Burton's brother Michael was his only relative to witness the execution. "He said he was sorry but did not admit on the gurney as to what he did," Ogg said. "I want the public to know he beat Nancy Adelman just about to death and he strangled her to finish the job." Burton is the third inmate to be put to death in Texas this year. Murder trial starts for (Black) Gwinnett County father in 8-year-old daughter’s death 
ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A metro Atlanta father is standing trial for the murder of his eight-year-old daughter in Gwinnett County and the girl’s step-mother is also accused of murder.
Cledir Barros is standing trial in connection to the murder of 8-year-old Sayra. Investigators said on Jan. 30, stepmother Natiela Barros was angry with Sayra and allegedly hit her in the back of the neck between 10 and 20 times with a wooden rolling pin. Detective Angela Carter answered questions from the prosecution on the stand about what she encountered during her investigation. “He said that she had an anger problem, and she said the anger stemmed from her being the child of another woman when they were separated,” Carter said. After Sayra passed out, Natiela called Cledir. When he came home, he allegedly prayed over Sayra for 10 to 20 minutes before calling 911. The homicide detective testified Cledir told her that the child’s stepmother had an anger problem and that there had been prior signs of abuse. “He mentioned an incident where Sayra got in trouble at school for stealing and when the school called about it the mother took things too far and hit her in the back of the neck and she skipped and fell into some stairs,” Carter said. The girl’s father was charged with second degree murder and two counts of child cruelty. The stepmother could take the stand as early as Friday. |

(Black) Man charged with murder after Fort Wayne victim killed in shooting
A recent shooting that killed a Fort Wayne man reportedly stemmed from an argument over drugs, and the suspect has been charged with murder, court records obtained Monday say.
Travon Depree Holman, 27, died Friday of multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the Allen County coroner’s office. Dana Minies Jr., 26, was arrested Saturday and booked into the Allen County Jail. He has been charged with murder, felony murder and robbery. Police responded to a report of a shooting at the 1100 block of West Fourth Street about 5:40 p.m. Friday. Medics who evaluated the victim determined he was in life-threatening condition and took him to a hospital, where the victim died, police have said. A woman who identified herself as Holman’s girlfriend told police that she was inside a residence while the victim was outside with her two children. The older one came inside and said she was scared. When asked why, the girl asked her mom to go outside. Minies was reportedly following Holman closely and asking him about money, Detective Luke MacDonald wrote in a probable cause affidavit. |

Nicole N. Cunigan, Jr. is accused of murdering 32-year-old Precious Taste, her unborn fetus and a teen on Shaftesbury Road in May. He was eventually found and taken into custody in the Cleveland area. Coroner ID’s 2 found dead in south Dayton home During arraignment, Nicole Cunigan, Jr. 32, of Dayton, had a not guilty plea entered on his behalf. A $1 million cash bond was also set in Cunigan’s case. On Aug. 1, Cunigan was indicted by a Montgomery County Grand Jury on numerous charges related to the deaths. He is scheduled to return to court on Monday, Aug. 19, for a scheduling conference. |
2 men sentenced to over 65 years for 2022 murder of Indy funeral director
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office on Monday announced the sentencing of two men responsible for the killing of an Indianapolis funeral director who was gunned down after being robbed in 2022.
Jashon Wallace-Carswell and Stacey Fuller were sentenced to serve over 65 years for their roles in the shooting death of James Dixon III after pleading guilty in June following a four-day trial, according to a release. Wallace-Carswell was sentenced to 66 years and was found guilty of two counts of murder and robbery resulting in serious bodily injury (Level 2 Felony). Fuller was sentenced to 76 years and was found guilty of two counts of murder, robbery resulting in serious bodily injury (Level 2 Felony), two counts of armed robbery (Level 3 Felony), and criminal recklessness (Level 5 Felony). On Aug. 4, 2022, officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched to a carjacking that occurred at a residence in the 5000 block of Gateway Drive. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim, who stated she was sitting in her vehicle when two men approached and forced her out of the vehicle at gunpoint. The men were later identified as Wallace-Carswell and Fuller. The following day, the IMPD Covert Robbery Team placed a tracker on the vehicle and, along with IMPD SWAT, began tracking and surveilling it. On Aug. 6, an FBI agent observed the vehicle traveling north on Lafayette Road, eventually stopping at a business on Belleview Place. The agent then saw Wallace-Carswell and Fuller approach Dixon and begin arguing with him. As the agent attempted to exit his vehicle to intervene, he heard multiple gunshots and saw Dixon fall to the ground. Wallace-Carswell and Fuller fled the scene in the stolen vehicle and were pursued by officers. Wallace-Carswell was quickly taken into custody. Fuller then fled on foot and fired a shot at an IMPD SWAT vehicle before he was taken into custody. |

Des Moines police say a woman died Friday, nearly a week after being shot multiple times in her legs.
Officers responded to the report of a shooting at the intersection of Cambridge Street and Ovid Avenue around 3:45 a.m. July 27. Sign up for our Newsletters "Patrol officers and Polk County Sheriff's Office deputies arrived at the scene to find 42-year-old Des Moines resident Nikki Marie Loffredo suffering from multiple gunshot injuries to her legs," according to a news release from Des Moines police. "Lifesaving measures, including the application of tourniquets, were immediately initiated." Loffredo died Friday due to those injuries. Police have arrested James Bernard Johnson, 43, of Des Moines, and charged him with first-degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm. "Evidence in the investigation indicates that as Loffredo was walking along Cambridge Street, she was approached by Johnson who was driving in the area," according to the release. "Video evidence shows the vehicle stop next to Loffredo. Loffredo was shot at least three times and the vehicle is seen speeding away from the scene." Johnson is in custody at Polk County Jail. Illegal immigrant accused of running over grandmother in fatal Virginia carjacking
An illegal alien is now accused of carjacking and killing 54-year-old Melody Waldecker, a mother of four and grandmother of eight, in broad daylight in Loudoun County, Virginia. Jose Aguilar-Martinez, a 21-year-old illegal alien has been arrested and charged by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office for felony carjacking in connection with the death of Melody Waldecker of Montgomery County, Maryland. On July 28, Waldecker stopped at a 7-Eleven around 11:30 a.m. in Sterling, Virginia, after visiting her ailing mother. While walking into the 7-Eleven, Waldecker noticed a man, identified by police as Aguilar-Martinez, attempting to break into her parked car. When Waldecker tried to stop Aguilar-Martinez, police allege the illegal alien hit and killed Waldecker with the vehicle while fleeing the scene. When officers arrived at the scene, Waldecker was found dead. Aguilar-Martinez was arrested about 45 minutes later and booked at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center the next day on felony charges. The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency confirmed that Aguilar-Martinez is an illegal alien from El Salvador. Waldecker was a caregiver at a nursing home in Montgomery County and loved spending time with her grandchildren, family members told NBC News4 Washington. Waldecker leaves behind four children and eight grandchildren. Aguilar-Martinez remains at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bail. ICE agents have placed a detainer on him, requesting custody if he is released from jail at any time. Investigators said additional charges may be filed against Aguilar-Martinez. |

An 18-year-old has been indicted on a first-degree murder charge for the killing of his ex-girlfriend, Jayden Lee Kline.
Fenan Abdurezak Uso was previously charged with second-degree murder as a juvenile. He made his first appearance Thursday morning for the first-degree charge, where a judge ordered bail to be set at $2 million. The juvenile petition states Kline was found lying in the street and bleeding from the head after neighbors had heard a loud noise around 4 p.m. on Dec. 21. It was originally believed that Kline had been hit by a vehicle; however, surveillance footage showed she fell out of a gold van after the driver fired a gunshot at her. Kline’s mother and brother recognized the van as Uso’s. Police later confirmed the van used in the shooting was registered to Uso’s mother. A mom who left her two young daughters inside a sweltering hot car while she gambled inside a casino has now been jailed for their murders.
Launice Battle, 31, from Wake County, North Carolina, pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree murder in the deaths of Trinity Milbourne, two, and her sister Amora, three. On Thursday, she was sentenced to serve between just under eight and 10 and a half years in a state correctional facility. Back on 27 August 2022, Battle drove to the casino Vegas Style Sweepstakes in Raleigh and left her children in the car while she went inside. The vehicle was parked only partially in the shade, while outside temperatures soared to 95F (35C). The children were left there for around six hours from 2.30pm until she finally returned at 8.30pm that evening, according to an autopsy report first obtained by WNCN. Upon her return, she found the two toddlers unresponsive and drove them to Duke Raleigh Emergency Department in Wake Forest. They were pronounced dead that evening with an autopsy ruling hyperthermia as the cause and Battle was arrested for murder. A medical report stated that the girls had “no body temperature” when they were discovered and their remains were in stages of “mild [body] decomposition”. |

Little Ellie Lorenzo’s body was found in a San José recycling center around 4:30 a.m. Saturday, just two days after she was sent to spend a court-sanctioned weekend with her dad, Jared Lorenzo, police said. “Ellie was stolen from me, her grandmother and the rest of our family and friends in an evil and brutal manner,” the grieving mother, Chrystal Obi, said in a statement Wednesday. Lorenzo, 42, had just learned that a court had granted Obi’s request to move with her daughter out of state before he picked up the toddler Thursday from their home in Mountain View, according to Obi. He allegedly killed Ellie in his Fremont apartment sometime that night or early morning — police suspect he left around 6 a.m. and drove 20 miles to San José, where he ditched her body in a trash can. The bin was unwittingly picked up by a garbage truck and brought to a local recycling facility, where a worker found her the next morning. By that time, Lorenzo was dead — he drove through multiple Bay Area cities before taking his own life in San Francisco around 11 a.m. Friday. Obi said she had no doubt that her ex-husband “killed her” and went to great lengths to cover the crime, “moving her to a different city, hiding her body in a bag inside a box inside a dumpster and driving to another city to take his own life,” she wrote. The heartbroken mother said she had worried about Ellie’s safety whenever the child was with her father. “I wanted desperately for her constant supervision and worried for her safety each time she was with him for court ordered visitation,” she wrote. |

Second colored suspect arrested in deadly ambush attack on Texas deputy: sheriff
A second suspect has been arrested in Texas in connection with the ambush killing of a Houston-area deputy last week, according to officials.
Dremone Francis, 26, was charged with capital murder in the death of Harris County Deputy Fernando Esqueda and has been booked in the Harris County Jail, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez wrote on social media. Francis' arrest comes after Ronald "Ronnie" Palmer Jr., 44, was arrested and charged Thursday with capital murder. Palmer is accused of verbally assaulting and pistol whipping a Little Caesars employee after an order he was set to pick up was incorrect. He then fled the restaurant and law enforcement agencies began searching for him following a vehicle description from the employee. Esqueda, who was involved in the search, believed he found the car in question and contacted another detective to let them know. He was ambushed while on the phone, according to Harris County authorities. Backup arrived at the location on Italian Cypress Trail at about 1 a.m. to find Esqueda shot multiple times and his vehicle riddled with bullet holes. |

Illegal immigrant suspected in Maryland mom Rachel Morin's murder faces maximum penalty if convicted 
Rachel Morin's suspected killer will face Maryland's maximum penalty of life imprisonment without parole if convicted of her murder, Harford County prosecutors said in a notice to the court. Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez, 23, faces a half-dozen charges, including first-degree murder, rape, and kidnapping, in connection with Morin's death. Authorities have labeled him a potential serial killer after his alleged involvement in a slew of crimes against women in Central America and the United States. He is an illegal immigrant suspected not only in Morin's murder, but also a pair of sex assaults in California and the brutal slaying of another woman in his home country of El Salvador. Morin was a 37-year-old mother of five who went out for a jog on a trail near her home in Bel Air, Maryland, about 30 miles northeast of Baltimore. She never made it back. Police found her body in a culvert, covered in bruises and with severe head trauma.
Under state law, prosecutors are required to inform the defendant if they plan to pursue the max sentence. If convicted without such a notice filed, Martinez-Hernandez would be eligible for parole after just 25 years.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - The Orange County Sheriff's Office released new details on Friday in the case of a 13-year-old girl murdered last week.
Sheriff John Mina said 28-year-old Jerry Dorisme, the man accused of killing Rose Thalie Dieujuste, was spotted on video purchasing the same kitchen knife that was found at the murder scene. Additional video showed Dorisme walking at a distance behind Dieujuste as she walked through the complex to her friend's house. Dorisme is facing one charge of first-degree felony murder after the teen was found unresponsive inside an apartment off South Rio Grande Ave. According to deputies, Dieujuste showed "obvious signs of trauma." She was rushed to the hospital, where she later died. Dorisme also has a criminal history and was recently baker-acted following an encounter with law enforcement just a few weeks ago. According to Sheriff Mina, deputies responded to reports of a man walking down the street with a knife. During the interaction with deputies, Dorisme punched three deputies. |

BLACK-ON-WHITE: Suspect in New Orleans tour guide murder in US illegally, has criminal history: ICE
At least one of the three suspects arrested in connection with the shooting death of a French Quarter tour guide in New Orleans is an illegal immigrant with a criminal history on American soil, according to immigration authorities.
The immigration status of the other two suspects was not immediately clear. New Orleans police arrested Joshua Bonifacio-Avila, 19, Jerben Albarec, 17, and Kevin Nunez, 15, the day after the slaying of 43-year-old Kristie Thibodeaux in her car on St. Peter Street, the morning of June 30. Nunez is accused of pulling the trigger. And Aviala-Bonifacio, a Honduras national, is accused of entering the country illegally, Immigration and Customs Enforcement told Fox News Digital. "On May 11, 2019, U.S. Border Patrol encountered Bonifacio near Hidalgo, Texas, and determined him to be inadmissible into the U.S. pursuant to the Immigration and Nationality Act," an ICE spokesperson said. "On multiple occasions, Bonifacio has been arrested for theft and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles. Since February 2024, Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office has booked Bonifacio for five local violations." ICE does not have purview over juveniles, so the immigration status of the other two suspects was not immediately clear. The agency's Enforcement and Removal Operations division, ERO, has lodged a detainer request for the suspect. The slaying took place around 4:30 a.m. on June 30 as part of an armed robbery, New Orleans police said. They arrested all three suspects on July 1. The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office identified Thibodeaux as the victim on July 2. |

A 1-year-old boy survived two days and nights by himself being battered by stormy weather on the side of a Louisiana highway until a trucker spotted him crawling along the roadway not far from where his 4-year-old brother was found dead a day earlier.
The baby was riddled with bug bites but otherwise unharmed. The boys’ mother, Aaliyah Jack, 25, was arrested on Tuesday in Mississippi, some 350 miles from where the children were found, authorities said. “We look at this 1-year-old as our miracle baby because he was still alive,” Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Gary “Stitch” Guillory told reporters at a news conference in Lake Charles, about 200 miles west of New Orleans. “This kid spent two days out in the weather on the side of the highway,” the sheriff said, emotion visibly registering on his face. “Thank God that trucker seen him.” Amid high winds and rainfall kicked up by Hurricane Beryl, the 4-year-old’s body was found in a lake behind a welcome center on Interstate 10 on Monday, not far from the Texas border. Autopsy reports for the boy are still pending, according to KPLC TV. Authorities who were looking into the child’s death became aware that he was last seen on Saturday with Jack and the 1-year-old. Police were gearing up to search the lake for the baby, fearing he had met the same fate as his brother, when the trucker saw the baby and called 911. A law enforcement alert was put out for Jack on Monday night, and a judge in Louisiana issued a warrant for her arrest. She was arrested in Meridian, Miss., currently on charges of failure to report a missing child. “She was located in Mississippi, without the 1 year old, by the Meridian Police Department and taken into custody,” the Calcasieu Sheriff’s Office said. “When deputies arrived, they were able to positively identify the child as the missing 1 year old,” the sheriff’s office said in a press release. On June 10, Melbourne police responded to a 911 call regarding an infant found unresponsive and not breathing just after 11 a.m. The child was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead. According to an affidavit, Davis told police he was feeding the child, but once the baby fell asleep, he laid him down and got in the shower. When he returned to the room, Davis says he found the baby unresponsive. According to records, an autopsy the following day confirmed the child had died by multiple blunt force trauma, and officials ruled the death a homicide. |

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — An Indiana judge is no longer tolerating dozens of “irrelevant” motions from the woman accused of killing her 5-year-old son and leaving his body inside a suitcase in rural southern Indiana.
Dejaune Anderson, Cairo Jordan’s mother, is charged with murder, neglect of a dependent and obstruction of justice in the young boy’s death. Anderson was expected to be in court for a pretrial hearing on Thursday, however Indiana Judge Larry Medlock has pushed it back again to August 22. The judge has also rescheduled her trial, which was set to begin in August, to October 1. Medlock has been waiting for two Indiana doctors to complete psychiatric evaluations of Anderson, who is fighting to represent herself in court. |

 Chicago was plagued by bloodshed during the the long Fourth of July holiday weekend, with 109 people shot and 19 killed, authorities said. There were a (reported) total of 74 shooting incidents in the Windy City from Wednesday, July 3 to Sunday, July 7 — including three mass shootings, according to data released by police. The youngest victim was 8-year-old Bryson Orr, who was killed along with two female relatives in a shooting at a home in the Grand Crossing neighborhood the morning of July 4. Two other boys, aged 5 and 7, were injured in that shooting, NBC Chicago reported. On Friday, eight people were shot in a mass shooting in Chicago’s Little Italy neighborhood including teenagers and a 74-year-old woman. Police said preliminary information indicates there was an exchange of gunfire between two unidentified offenders who fled the scene. Last year, 11 people were killed and 62 were injured over the holiday weekend, according to the NBC Chicago. 2 murder suspects who escaped Mississippi jail are captured after being found in abandoned home
Two inmates who escaped a jail in Mississippi while awaiting trial for murder have been captured after a manhunt, authorities said Saturday.
Tyrekennel Collins, 24, and Dezarrious Johnson, 18, were both found inside an abandoned home in Claiborne County on Saturday after they escaped from the Claiborne County Detention Center the previous day, Claiborne County Sheriff Edward Goods said. Collins and Johnson were seen on surveillance footage escaping through the ceiling and leaving behind an outside wall around 2:20 a.m., Goods said. Johnson injured his right leg during the escape and was walking with a “bad limp,” according to the sheriff’s office. Authorities alerted the public during the ensuing search that both suspects were considered dangerous. |
24-year-old charged with murder after Birmingham shooting
A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the murder of Renard West.
Kishande Huckabee of Birmingham is charged with murder and is being held in the Jefferson County Jail with no bond. Community members gave officers a description of the clothing Huckabee was wearing. When officers found a man matching that description, he was taken into custody. He did have a handgun when captured. |

BLACK-ON-WHITE: WHITE Cleveland police officer fatally shot by BLACK KILLER in the city’s Hough neighborhood, suspect charged
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A Cleveland police officer was fatally shot on the city’s East side Thursday morning and a 24-year-old suspect is now charged with aggravated murder.
Cleveland Police Chief Dorothy Todd said Officer Jamieson Ritter, 27, was shot in the 1500 block of E. 80th Place around 1 a.m. This is in the city’s Hough neighborhood. According to Chief Todd, multiple officers responded to the area to serve a warrant on a man wanted for felonious assault. When they arrived, the suspect, later identified as Delawnte Hardy, was seen leaving a home on a bicycle. While trying to stop him, Chief Todd said the suspect fired shots, striking Officer Ritter . Hardy was taken into custody at the scene and transported to the Cuyahoga County Justice Center. He is charged with aggravated murder. Chief Todd added Hardy was not injured, but was taken to the hospital as a “pre-cautionary measure.” Chief Todd said Officer Ritter has been with the department for four years and was assigned to the Third District. “They need to be recognized for the heroes they are,” said Chief Todd. 13-year-old girl 'tragically murdered' in mall shooting by DARK KILLER in Washington, police say
A 13-year-old girl died Wednesday after being hit by gunfire during a fight in a mall in Lynnwood, Washington, police said.
Jayda Woods-Johnson was "tragically murdered" at the Alderwood Mall, the Lynnwood Police Department said. "The suspect has been identified as a[n african-american] 16-year old male from Edmonds," the department said in a statement. "He was brought in by his mother and is in custody. He will be booked into jail for Murder." Two groups had been in an "altercation" near the mall's food court, police said. Woods-Johnson had not been involved with either group and appeared to have been struck by a stray bullet, police said. Police said they were still searching for the gun used during the shooting.
