Courtnie Williams, 31, and Manuel Williams, 39, both of Tyler, were arrested in July 2020 after Tyler firefighters responded to a call of an unresponsive child. The child, later identified as their daughter, was pronounced dead after being taken to UT Health East Texas that same night. In their court appearance today, Skeen ordered for Courtnie Williams and Manuel Williamsโ pre-trial date to be set for Aug. 12. According to previous reporting, Tyler police officers at the hospital noted that the girl had numerous injuries all over her body. The injuries appeared to be in various stages of healing, indicating a history of abuse. Her body was sent to Dallas for an autopsy. Courtney Williams and Manuel Williams, were taken to the police station and were interviewed separately. Neither parent would provide an explanation or history for the numerous injuries to the childโs body, the affidavit states. They confirmed that they were her primary caretakers, and that she was home with her father when she became unresponsive. Courtnie Williams stated that she has witnessed Manuel Williams both punch the child as well as use a belt to hit her. Manuel said that he has seen Courtnie slap the child across the face. Both Courtnie and Manuel Williams were arrested on July 16 and booked into the Smith County Jail. Both were charged with injury to a child/elderly/disabled with intentional serious bodily or mental injury. |

(Black) Accused murderer of elderly veteran had worked for a violence-prevention group (WBBM NEWSRADIO) โ When 73-year-old Keith Cooper had his car key snatched away from his hand by two teenagers while he ran errands in Hyde Park, he repeatedly asked for it back. He got hit instead, Cook County prosecutors said Friday. The Marine veteran ended up dying after he was accosted by Frank Harris, 18, and 17-year-old Dushawn Williams Wednesday afternoon in the 5300 block of South Kimbark Avenue. The senior citizen survived wars, โbut didnโt manage to survive his encounterโ with Harris and Williams, Assistant Stateโs Attorney James Murphy told Judge Charles Beach. Harris, who was involved with the violence prevention youth group Good Kids Mad City in the recent past, allegedly was the the one who punched Cooper once in the head while trying to run off with the older manโs Hyundai SUV that was in the parking lot of a shopping center. When Harris and Williams were not able to get inside the vehicle, they allegedly ran off. Cooper, meanwhile, collapsed to the ground two minutes later. An off-duty paramedic started chest compressions on Cooper before Chicago police and firefighters arrived and took him to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The Cook County medical examinerโs office has not yet ruled on the cause and manner of Cooperโs death. Harris and Williams were arrested about a half-mile away after they were spotted changing out of their clothing in a synagogue parking lot, Murphy said. While in custody, Harris allegedly admitted to taking part in the carjacking attempt, but denied hitting Cooper. Surveillance cameras, however, captured the attack and two people in the shopping centerโs parking lot identified Harris as the man who struck Cooper, Murphy said. |

BLACK-ON-WHITE: Elderly Woman attacked by (black) Walmart worker speaks out: 'She went crazy' MOUNT PLEASANT, Wis. - A 70-year-old woman says she was beaten by a Mount Pleasant Walmart employee โ and now she is speaking out. Walmart says the employee in this incident has been suspended. But the victim says Walmart is not doing enough. "Would you ever in a million years expect some young Walmart employee to beat up a 70-year-old?" asked P.K. Shader. But that is exactly what Racine County authorities say happened inside a Mount Pleasant Walmart. "You donโt realize how this, after a while, starts to affect how you live," Shader said. It has been a trying time for Shader. Her face is covered in bruises. Below the surface, she has lost a sense of security. Sitting next to her attorney, Shader told FOX6 News she was shopping inside Walmart last Thursday. Two checkout lines were long. She went to customer service to see if they could open up one more lane. "The young woman I dealt with started yelling at me, asking if I wanted to work there; if I needed a job there," Shader said. Shader decided to speak with a manager. "Do you let her talk to all your customers like that? And the manager didnโt say a word," Shader said. Shader wanted to report the employee to corporate. "Lo and behold, sheโs walking right towards me and I snap a picture โ and she went crazy," Shader said. The employee, identified by authorities as 17-year-old Jazareia Velasquez, is charged with aggravated battery to an elderly person and disorderly conduct. In a statement, Walmart said the 17-year-old is suspended โ and they are assisting law enforcement in the investigation. "I think the employee should be fired," said Carl Ricciardi, Shader's attorney. "They have to take seriously their duty to work with their employees so this never happens again." Shader told FOX6 News multiple employees watched the assault. Only one pulled the suspect away. Shader said she called 911 because no one else did. The 17-year-old is due back in court for a preliminary hearing. It is not immediately clear who her attorney on record will be. She has been ordered to have no contact with the victim in this case. PHOENIX โ A Valley man has been arrested for murdering a woman in Phoenix while her children were home with her. Phoenix Police arrested 30-year-old Andre Daniels for killing Shavone Robinson in her apartment near 19th Avenue and Camelback back in May. Daniels is also facing charges for child abuse and possession of a weapon by a prohibited person. Shavone Robinson's family has been waiting two months for movement in the case. "To be in it and try and stay strong for that, it felt like two years," Kika Robinson, Shavone's sister, said. Kika said Shavone's four children are now in the care of her family. "We're still in shock," Kika said. Kika said they were happy to see an arrest made in the case. However, they're still left with unanswered questions. "It doesn't change the fact that she's not here," Kika said. Court documents said Daniels stabbed Shavone to death in May in her Phoenix apartment. Three of her four children, including a 4-week-old, were home at the time. Investigators said the children were left by themselves for five days after they believe Daniels killed Shavone. Two of the children were spotted by neighbors on the apartment balcony asking for food. "Why? What was the purpose of that?" Kika said. "Because now all of those kids are affected." Shavone's youngest was also found with skull fractures, according to the documents. "She's talking, doing little babbling spots, she's looking you straight in the eye, she's hitting milestones when she's supposed to," Kika said. "That's a miracle right there. I call her a miracle baby." Court documents show Daniels may have been the child's "biological" father. Investigators said in court documents that records show Daniels did not want Shavone to have the (illegitimate) baby. Arrest made in connection to murder of Phoenix mother of four Shavone Robinson |

(Black) Ex-DoorDash driver who contaminated NYPD Chipotle order held for parole violation The ex-DoorDash driver accused of tampering with the Chipotle order of an NYPD employee was remanded by a judge Friday for violating his parole in an earlier case. Lance Layne, 30, allegedly dropped off the food order at the 61st precinct in Brooklyn on Monday after placing a note inside it saying, โHope that dโk taste good bitch.โ Layne also took a picture of the order and posted it to Facebook with the caption, โYou know Iโm about to violate the sโt out of this order, 61st Precinct. I dreamed of moments like this,โ a prosecutor claimed at the suspectโs Brooklyn Criminal Court appearance Friday. Judge Claudia Daniels-DePeyster held Layne without bail because the Chipotle incident violated the terms of his parole in the shooting of a police or peace officer in 2011. Layne โ who had claimed to reporters that the disgusting Chipotle incident was nothing more than a โprankโ โ is on parole in the shooting through November 2024. He has an extensive criminal history, has allegedly been a member of the Bloods gang and served more than three years in prison for aggravated assault in the attack on a police or peace officer in April 2011, cops said. Layne sued the city for millions of dollars in connection with his 2011 run-in with the cops โ and won a $33,000 settlement in 2012, city records show. Layne alleged in his Brooklyn federal lawsuit from 2012 that during the melee, he accidentally shot himself and that officers interrogated him at the 60th Precinct and beat him up before they sent him to the hospital to receive medical attention for the wound. He also claimed they hurled racial slurs at him and pressured him into a false confession, the court papers said. He denied shooting anyone but himself. The city did not admit to any fault or liability when it settled the case with Layne, according to court papers from March 2014. License plate reader led cops to alleged killer of 16-year-old Trenton lifeguard TRENTON โ A high-tech gadget from the city's real-time crime center helped authorities solve the murder of a teenage lifeguard. Suspected killer Keith N. Jordan tried alibiing himself for the killing while being interrogated by detectives July 7, but he confirmed details regarding his whereabouts that enabled cops to bring charges against him, according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by The Trentonian. Jordan, 30, face counts of murder and weapons offenses after authorities said they traced a vehicle from the murder scene back to him. Jordan initially cooperated with cops but stopped answering questions and demanded a lawyer once confronted with damning surveillance that showed someone getting in and out of his Toyota Camry near the double shooting scene. Sixteen-year-old Dion Ellis, a sophomore at Trenton Central High School who worked as a lifeguard at Roberto Clemente Pool, was struck in the head during the July 5 shooting near Prospect Street and Stuyvesant Avenue. (Doped-out mouth-breathing black) Material witness sought in March killing ATulsa County judge issued a warrant last week after a material witness failed to appear at a preliminary hearing in a March murder case. Wendell Alexander, 20, is sought for his eyewitness testimony in the March 13 killing of Eric Graves. The Tulsa Police Department shared a photo of Alexander online and asked anyone with information on his whereabouts to call Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS (2677). Alexander reportedly told detectives he would be at the hearing July 7 but failed to show up. Prosecutors wrote in the arrest warrant request that the measure was the "only practical way to secure this witness." Lorraine Graves, a relative of the victim's who initially gave detectives an interview, was subpoenaed for the same hearing, and though she did appear, she told a victim witness advocate that she would no longer cooperate in the investigation nor would she remember anything she told detectives earlier, according to an affidavit for a warrant for her arrest on a murder accessory charge. Court affidavits allege that Gabriel Hopson, 20, and Jayden Hopson, 19, killed Eric Graves, 30, in a shootout at St. Thomas Square apartments, 1050 E. 61st St., on a Saturday night. Alexander reportedly was in the room where the shooting occurred and also was struck by the gunfire. He told detectives that Jayden Hopson was upset because the woman in whom he was interested "liked" Eric Graves, and when the Hopsons pulled their guns on Graves, Graves began shooting at them. The Hopsons allegedly fired back, wounding Graves and Alexander. |
(Black) Preacher convicted in the 1980s of leading a religious cult in 3 states, dies at 91
The Rev. Wilbert Thomas Sr., a former Akron minister who went to prison after being convicted of leading a religious cult, has died. Thomas declared himself bishop in 1979 and published a book of doctrine outlining control of its members. Congregants were expected to give generously to the church and ask permission to make personal purchases. They were not allowed to associate with former members, even relatives. The doctrine insisted on โthe discontinuance of all romantic, social and spiritual ties and links between Christian Alliance members and non-Christian Alliance people, with the rare exception of those expressly approved for special monitoring โฆ.โ Another passage said that membersโ resources, property and assets were โsubject to the discretions of the bishop. โฆ Any person โฆ seeking to subvert this cause โฆ will be exposed and dealt with as an enemy of the church.โ Former members alleged that they were beaten with baseball bats and belts, sometimes at the hands of their own relatives, if they left the church. One Akron accuser alleged that when she was a teenager in 1979, the bishop ordered her to perform sex acts with him and other congregants. Accused of yelling at a church member, the girl said she was ordered to strip naked and then was beaten by several female congregants. A man said he was beaten in 1980 for not disciplining his 10-year-old daughter when she did not speak to Bishop Thomas after being introduced to him. The man said he was ordered to take off his shirt and bend over. Other church members beat him until he bowed on his knees, he said. An Akron couple said they were threatened with harm after they bought a dining room set and record player without permission from the bishop. A girl alleged that she was stripped and beaten with a belt when she failed to say, โYes, maโamโ to some of the older women in the church. โHe gets them at a young age and turns them against their parents,โ one former member said. During a 1985 trial in New Jersey, witnesses testified that Thomas ordered his followers to have sex with him and with each other, calling it โspiritual nourishment.โ Those who refused were beaten until they were โraw and bloody,โ witnesses testified. They described being beaten with belts and tree branches at the direction of the bishop. Police alleged that the bishop had ordered underage followers to have sex with each other as he listened. (Black) Detroit woman tracks down stolen Mercedes, suspect dragged from barbershop by dreds DETROIT (FOX 2) - A Detroit woman who had her Mercedes Benz stolen refused to sit at home feeling sorry for herself. Instead, she followed it all across Detroit until she decided to take matters into her own hands. Bianca Chambers said for two days, she tracked her car throughout the city until Wednesday when the man parked her car and went to get his hair done. That's when she confronted the thief. "At that point, I was likeโฆIโm not letting this man walk again," she said. She walked into a barbershop at Greenfield and Grand River and was face-to-face with the guy she says stole her new Benz and asked him point-blank - is that his Benz? When he denied it, she took him down. "Heโs at 7 Days West, getting his dreds twisted," she said in a Facebook live while watching her car. Customers then stepped in to make a citizen's arrest while Bianca, sick of seeing him drive off in her car, slashed her own tires! Then she called the police. "I slashed all the tires and I thought that he was gonna take off and I didn't know how long it was going to take for the police to pull up. And I refused to let him pull off again," she said. Detroit Police say officers responded four times to Biancaโs 911 calls as she tracked the car using a web of social media tips. But by the time they got there, the car was gone. At one point as she tracked the bold thief around, he even made a pit stop at the strip mall where she owns a boutique. "They was driving, they was having a good time, they was smoking but, yes, when I got my car, it was very clean," Bianca said. And why was it so clean? He got it detailed. FOX 2 sources said the thief has a history of car thefts since he was teen. His name has not been released. (Black) Texas man returns from Nigeria with case of monkeypox DALLAS โ A Dallas resident has been hospitalized in stable condition under isolation after returning from Nigeria with the first-ever Texas case of monkeypox, health officials revealed Friday. In a statement, federal and state health officials said the traveler arrived at Dallas Love Field on July 9 from Atlanta after an overnight flight from Nigeria. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the risk to others on the flights and in the airport is low, especially in light of COVID-19-related masking policies. However, efforts are underway to contact his fellow passengers. Monkeypox is a rare viral pox-like disease from the smallpox family, only milder. It can be transmitted through respiratory droplets, contact with body fluids or contact with an infected animal or animal products. The first human case of monkeypox was recorded in 1970 in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The United States saw a large outbreak among humans in 2003 after the virus spread from imported African rodents to pet prairie dogs. However, this is believed to be the first monkeypox virus infection in a Texas resident, according to Dallas County health officials. Monkeypox symptoms typically begin with flu-like illness and swelling of the lymph nodes, then a widespread rash on the face and body, according to the CDC. Most infections last 2-4 weeks. Infections with this strain of monkeypox are fatal in about 1 in 100 people, but the mortality rate can be higher among those with weakened immune systems. (Black) Baltimore Police Officer Eric Banks Caught with Dead Body in Wall Baltimore Police officer Eric Banks Jr. was arrested a couple days ago after police found the body of his 15 year old stepson hidden in his wall. Dasan Jones was pronounced dead shortly after first responders attempted to revive him. Banks was immediately arrested, but oddly his charges do not include anything for what happened to his stepson, just what he did to officers. Charges related to Jones' death will likely be announced shortly. The Chief Medical Examiner is expected to perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death in the near future. When the autopsy is completed we expect that Banks will be charged for contributing to Jones' death in some way either directly by killing him himself or indirectly by enabling him to do something dangerous. To be fair, we can't very well accuse Banks of murder before we known the cause of death, but Banks of all people should have realized how guilty trying to cover up the death would make him look. Likewise his reaction to the discovery of the body indicates that he knew that he did something wrong. Banks is charged with First and Second Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, Disarm a Law Officer, Resist/Interfere with Arrest, and Fail to Obey a Lawful order. According to Anne Arundel County Police, Banks assaulted officers and attempted to disarm one of them when the body was discovered. There are also reports of Banks uttering things that could be interpreted as suicidal comments. BLACK 'lawmaker' wearing a "BLM" shirt blames RACIST POLICE PROFILING for him arrogantly breaking the law for driving without a valid license - (he lost his license for failure to pay child support for some most-likely illegitimate spawn) Police bodycam video casts doubt on (Black) lawmakerโs โdriving while blackโ claim Newly released police bodycam footage raises serious doubts about a Minnesota lawmakerโs claim that he was pulled over and ticketed by cops for โdriving while black.โ And cops now want an apology. The video, released by St. Paul police, shows state Rep. John Thompson after he was pulled over around 1:20 a.m. on July 4. โWith a Wisconsin license?โ the officer asks. After 14 minutes, the unnamed officer returns to Thompson and tells him his license in Minnesota is suspended, the footage shows. โRather than taking responsibility for his own decisions and actions, he attempted to deflect, cast aspersions, and deny any wrongdoing,โ the chief said. BLACK-ON-WHITE: BLACK 'man' stabbed a White woman to death in her home and stabbed dog INDIANAPOLIS โ Court records are providing new details about a deadly stabbing on Indyโs northeast side. The violence marked the second homicide at the Lake Castleton apartment complex over the last two months. According to court records, while police arrested a suspect for the murder, the motive for that killing is currently a mystery because the suspect gave numerous, inconsistent and conflicting explanations about what happened. Police were called to the apartment building on Constitution Drive on Saturday by neighbors who witnessed a woman being stabbed to death, identified as Tiffany Gough. Officers found a back sliding door open and Jhabriel Munoz allegedly looking out the front door peep hole holding two bloody knives. Police arrested the 25-year-old suspect, then found the body of the victim in a bedroom along with an injured dog, which also had stab wounds to its face and abdomen. โIt seems like something out of a low-rated horror film than something in your backyard,โ said Joe Garrison with the North Shadeland Alliance. According to the affidavit, after being arrested Munoz told police, โShe owed me some money. I came in. She attacked me.โ Munoz then later repeatedly changed his story and claimed another man committed the murder. Munoz remains behind bars at the county jail.
