Multiple body parts have been found across crime scenes in Philadelphia, according to local authorities looking to see if the cases are possibly linked.
Officers with the Philadelphia Police Department found a dismembered body in a trash bag in the back of a U-Haul truck during a traffic stop on Thursday at around 9am on the 1000 block of Sanibel Street in the Somerton area of the city. Someone had called 911 for a burglary in progress, telling authorities that the U-Haul truck had been seen leaving the scene, investigators told ABC 6. The driver and the passenger inside the rental vehicle did not try to run when the U-Haul was pulled over by police. According to police spokesperson Sgt. Eric Gripp, the driver was extremely forthcoming about the contents of the vehicle. 'The vehicle pulled over, and as soon as the officers got out of the car the driver of the U-Haul just came right out the door and said, "I don't want anything to do with this," and "There's a body in the back,'" Gripp said. Both the driver and the passenger were taken into custody. Authorities also found a weapon in the back of the truck. So far, the two men taken into custody have not been charged with a crime. Meanwhile, officers discovered a leg and a hand later that day, on Thursday night, in a dumpster behind a Wawa convenience store at Kelvin Street and Bustleton Avenue. The scene was less than a third of a mile away from where the dismembered body had been found. Police said that the body parts could belong to the same person. On the previous day, Sgt. Gripp said police had conducted a welfare check on the Sanibel Street home of Peter Gerold Wednesday after a neighbor called. While police found nothing unusual when they arrived, neighbors did tell them that Gerold car's had been missing for a week. Later, pieces of body parts were found in an unattached garage behind Gerold's home, police shared. They also said it appeared someone tried to burn a body. Police have not indicated whether the body found has been identified as Gerold - known for operating a Kneading You Therapy massage practice out of his home. One neighbor told ABC-6 that Gerold was known for offering people work around his house and that he might have been too trusting. Neighbors said that Gerold was friendly with the community, delivering honey he grew to their homes and known for his love for his exotic pets. 'He was always willing to help people no matter what; it's so sad,' said next door neighbor Tiffany McLean said. Gerold was also known for lending a helping hand to people and may have been too trusting, said neighbor Linda Xander. BLACK-ON-WHITE: 2nd Person Arrested in Beating Death of 18-Year-Old Danielle Hopton
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) – A woman who was found fatally injured in a Fort Collins parking lot last weekend has been identified by the Larimer County Coroner’s Office as 18-year-old Danielle Hopton of Fort Collins.
The man arrested by police following her death, 20-year-old Stephen McNeil, appeared in Larimer County District Court on Friday morning.
Friday afternoon, Fort Collins Police Services announced the arrest of a second person, Ian Rayas, also 20, of Timnath. The three were among a group of friends who drove to the Whispering Pines Apartments at 525 East Drake Road late Saturday night, according to a press release from Fort Collins Police Services. Investigators learned Hopton and McNeil, who had been in a relationship, stepped out of the car to talk. McNeil then allegedly assaulted Hopton. Other members of the group called 9-1-1 as McNeil left the scene, according to police. Hopton died at the hospital. Police arrested McNeil at noon the next day. Rayas was questioned by investigators but denied knowing either McNeil or Hopton or anything that happened between them that night, police stated. But investigators found “evidence to the contrary” and arrested him Thursday. McNeil is being held for investigation of 1st Degree Murder, Domestic Violence, Violation of a Protection Order, and Violation of Bail Bond Conditions. The coroner’s office has not yet determined a cause of death. But in a press release from Fort Collins Police Services, her injuries were described as the result of an assault. “This heinous act of violence took a woman’s life and forever changed the lives of her loved ones,” stated Investigations Lieutenant Jeremy Yonce in FCPS’s press release. Rayas is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday on two felonies, including an accessory to crime charge. Other than to confirm the pair were in a relationship, spokespersons for the police department and the 8th Judicial District Attorney’s Office have refused to answer questions about any connection between McNeil’s two previous arrests and the current one involving Hopton’s death. BLACK-ON-WHITE: Dallas Officer Mitchell Penton Killed By Driver Suspected Of Intoxication, Police Say
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – A Dallas officer has died after he was hit by a suspected intoxicated driver early Saturday morning, police said.
Officials identified the officer as Mitchell Penton, who joined the department in February 2019.
Police said the incident happened at around 1:45 a.m. as Penton was blocking traffic for a crash in a northbound lanes of North Central Expressway at Walnut Hill Lane. Penton was standing outside his vehicle, which had its emergency lights on, when he was hit by a 32-year-old driver who was going at a high rate of speed, police said. The officer was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries. A passenger in the suspect’s vehicle was also taken to a hospital for injuries to her chest and a laceration on her face, police said. Police said the driver, later identified as Phillip Mabry, was arrested for intoxication manslaughter on a police officer and intoxication assault for the passenger that was in his vehicle. ‘A-Train Ripper’ identified as Rigoberto Lopez, (crazy black spanic) homeless troll from Brooklyn
The suspected “A-Train Ripper” is a 21-year-old homeless man from Brooklyn who confessed to the weekend subway slash spree and has previously been busted at least four times — including for allegedly assaulting a cop and his own father, law-enforcement sources said Sunday.
Rigoberto Lopez, who lives in a shelter in Boerum Hill and has battled mental-health issues, was charged with one count of first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree murder and two counts of second-degree attempted murder over his latest alleged crime — the random fatal knifings of a man and woman and the slashing of two other guys, the NYPD said.
“I’m not going to get into motive, but what I can tell you is they were all unprovoked attacks. The victims had nothing, didn’t initiate anything,” NYPD Chief Brian McGee, commanding officer of Manhattan North Patrol, told reporters at a briefing Sunday. Lopez, whose past arrests have included an alleged assault on a cop, had previously “been removed to the hospital two times for, I’ll say, mental illness,” McGee said. The suspect was nabbed Saturday while still covered in blood and with the alleged murder weapon, law-enforcement sources have said. Lopez has at least four prior arrests, including for “possession of a controlled substance, criminal contempt and assault,” McGee said. The drug charge stems from an October arrest of an emotionally disturbed person in Manhattan after police allegedly found cocaine on Lopez, law-enforcement sources said. (Black) Molino Man Gets 30 Years In Prison For Shooting Mother, Daughter
A Molino man has been sentenced to 30 years in state prison for the shooting that seriously injured a mother and her daughter on New Year’s Day 2020.
Justin Demartre Young, 23, was sentenced to 30 years in state prison by Circuit Judge W. Joel Boles. Young was convicted in October 2020 of two counts of attempted first degree premeditated murder with a firearm.
On January 1, 2020, Young shot and seriously injured a mother and daughter in their home on Barth Road in Molino. The women lived in the home with on (sic) of Young’s relatives, and Young had been living in the home for several weeks before the shooting. Young arrived home and sat in the living room with the women for several minutes before complaining and challenging them about someone having been in his car. The women claimed no one had been in his car; but shortly thereafter Young shot the eldest in the back as she crossed the room to get to the bathroom. Her daughter was shot in the head during her struggle to protect her mother and gain control of the gun. Young then shot the mother again in the abdomen. Both women were seriously injured but able to run to the neighbor’s house for assistance after Young fled As part of Young’s 30 year sentence, he must serve 25 years as a mandatory minimum requirement under Florida’s 10-20-Life law, meaning those years must be served day-for-day, without any gain-time credit. |
BLACK Crisfield man arrested for assaulting stepson, pouring bleach on him
CRISFIELD, Md. – A child is recovering after his stepfather reportedly assaulted him and poured bleach on him during an argument Thursday afternoon.
We’re told Crisfield Police responded to the Somers Cove Apartments at around 4:30 p.m. for a reported assault. On arrival, officers located the 10-year-old male victim and his mother. Also at the residence was the victim’s stepfather, identified as 36-year-old Taron Lee Roberts.
Further investigation revealed that Roberts and the child had been involved in an argument, during which Roberts allegedly hit the victim with his hand and poured a bottle of bleach on him. Officers observed evidence of assault on the victim, as well as bleach on the victim’s clothes and skin. EMS were called to the scene to treat the victim for minor injuries sustained in the incident. Roberts was subsequently arrested and charged with first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment, and use of a deadly weapon with the intent to injure. He is currently being held without bond. |

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -- The suspect in a deadly police shooting outside The Range 702 last week attempted to get a police officer's gun in a 2017 incident, according to North Las Vegas Police.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police say suspect Marvin Payton Jr., also known as Marvon, was shot and killed by police and three civilians after he tried to steal a gun inside the shooting range. Police encountered Payton in the parking lot where they say he stabbed an officer with a screwdriver before being shot and killed.
North Las Vegas police detailed an incident with Payton at a Walmart near West Lake Mead Boulevard and U.S. 95 in 2017. The department said Payton charged at a police officer who arrived to investigate a car theft. Payton reportedly placed his hands on the officer's gun holster and "began to manipulate the safety levers." After the struggle ended, Payton was taken to the hospital where police say he told a surveying officer that he wanted the officer's gun and that it was a "nice gun." Police also said two good Samaritans at the Walmart helped gain control of Payton when he struggled with the officer. The officer suffered minor injuries. In that incident, North Las Vegas Police arrested Payton on charges of attempted murder, battery on a protected person and attempted robbery. After multiple competency hearings, he was eventually sentenced to three to five years in prison on a charge of attempted grand larceny of a firearm. Three people injured in shooting South Carolina mall, (Black) suspect still at large 
UPDATE – Police confirm they are responding to a reported shooting at Northwoods Mall.
The shooting happened at around 1:36 pm.
North Charleston Police officers and Charleston County Sheriff’s deputies entered the mall and ensured that the scene was secure.
Officials say there are three victims, two females and one male, who were found suffering from gunshot wounds. On-scene treatment was provided and the victims were transported to the hospital for further treatment of their injuries. Officers have determined that an individual, seen in the photo, is the suspect in the incident. According to officials, the shooting happened in a common area of the mall. The North Charleston Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the individual. |

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – A Somerset County man will spend 35 years behind bars for robbing the Dollar General in Westover back in 2019.
Timothy Jarvis was convicted in October 2020 of armed robbery, use of a firearm in a violent crime, and other related charges. These charges date back to June 30, 2019, when police responded to the store for a report of an armed robbery. It was reported that a man entered with a mask on, pointed the gun at the victim, hit her on the head with the gun, and demanded money. He then stole the cash from the registers and fled the scene. Other witnesses reported seeing a man run out of the store and get in a car that was parked on Fairmount Road. The vehicle then sped away from the area at a high rate of speed. Investigators recovered a mask found on the ground, which was tested and found to contain Jarvis’ DNA. Jarvis was also tied to the area using his cell phone and cell tower records. |
Trial date set for (unknown) suspended BLACK Virginia Tech football player Devon Hunter 
Suspended Virginia Tech defender Devon Hunter’s case is moving forward.
A trial is set in Montgomery County Circuit Court for Aug. 30-31, according to his attorney Patrick Kenney. Kenney declined to comment on the case.
A grand jury in January indicted Hunter on a felony charge of strangulation to cause wound or injury. Hunter is also facing a separate misdemeanor assault and battery of a family member charge, but that’s considered an ancillary misdemeanor and will move forward in the same manner as the felony offense. |

('Diverse') Suspects arrested after woman beaten, robbed of stimulus money in Nashville 
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Three people have been charged after a woman was beaten with a two-by-four piece of lumber and robbed of her stimulus money outside of the tent where she was living in Nashville last month.
Kristy Edwards, 32, and Peter Hatchett, 45, were arrested Wednesday on charges of aggravated robbery in connection with the attack, which happened Jan. 24. Ronald Terry, 51, was arrested on the same charge the day after the crime, court documents show.
According to an arrest warrant, the victim told Edwards that she had received her stimulus check from the government. While the victim was sleeping in her tent on Trinity Lane later in the day, police said Edwards called for the victim to come outside. When she walked out of the tent, detectives said Terry punched the victim in the face, knocking her to the ground. As she was on the ground, a warrant states Edwards beat the victim with a two-by-four piece of lumber, then stole her money and phone. |
Police investigating online threats against Niagara's medical officer of health 
TORONTO -- Niagara police said Saturday they are investigating alleged threats made to the region's medical officer of health that were posted on social media.
"We are aware of the social media posts in reference to Dr. (Mustafa) Hirji (Niagara's medical officer of health) that have been reported in the media," Niagara police tweeted. "We will not be commenting any further at this time regarding that investigation."
The alleged threats were posted on Facebook the same day as the Ontario government announced that the stay-at-home order will be lifted in 27 more public health units next week, moving the regions back to the colour-coded framework for COVID-19 restrictions. Niagara was the only region to be placed in the grey-lockdown category, where retail businesses are allowed to reopen with strict capacity limits, but most other things have to stay closed. TWO teenagers are facing homicide charges after a woman was savagely raped and beaten to death by a gang of up to 11 boys.
Ee Lee, 36, was relaxing in a park when the teens dragged her under a tree, stripped and abused her in a sickening assault filmed on cell phones, prosecutors say.
Kamare Lewis, 17, and Kevin Spencer, 15, each face a charges of first-degree intentional homicide, as party to a crime, and first-degree sexual assault. Ee was found half-naked and barely breathing by a pond at Washington Library Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on September 16 last year. She died days later in hospital due to blunt force trauma to her head. Investigators say footage from the area showsa pack of 11 'youths' leaving the park on foot and on bicycles, one being Lewis. A boy who called 911 was actually an associate of Lewis and Spencer who had been seen walking with them, according to a criminal complaint. Prosecutors say the witness later offered up a "detailed statement" alleging Lewis and Spencer beat the woman and forced her to perform sex acts. The witness also claimed to have seen video footage on Lewis' phone, showing the pair hitting Ee as she lay on the ground. Another onlooker described Lewis "hitting her with tree branches and punching her in the face" as Spencer also struck her, court papers allege. The witness told cops: "Spencer told Kamare to put her in the water and Kamare was dragging her to the water." He claimed footage recorded by Lewis was sent to him on Facebook Messenger before he deleted it from his phone. Months later, the boy's mother told police there was further footage on her son's old iPhone. His mom said the video showed "two boys beating a lady" with "a lot of other little kids standing around." She said "you could tell who they were" and explained she originally told her son to delete the video because she believed he was not involved. Another boy whose DNA was found on a bottle at the scene told investigators how Lewis and Spencer targeted the victim at random. "They saw this lady on a blanket in the park... walked up to her to see if she had any money, and started harassing her," he told authorities. He said they then began hitting and kicking her, before dragging her to an area near a tree to assault her further. The boy told the others he "didn't want to be involved and started walking away," resulting in him being hit by a juice bottle thrown by one of the teenagers. Prosecutors said Spencer confessed to this witness that he and Lewis beat and raped Lee. Both of the teens' DNA was found on the victim's body and her denim jacket, according to the criminal complaint. TUPELO • A 19-year-old Lee County man, charged with shooting up a house and killing a grandmother while he was free on a separate murder charge, all before he turned 18, will spend the bulk of his adult life behind bars.
Latavious Betts was incarcerated in the Lee County Jail for more than two years ago on charges of murder, first degree murder, drive-by shooting, three counts of aggravated assault and shooting into a vehicle.
Friday morning, Betts pleaded guilty to second degree murder and aggravated assault in Lee County Circuit Court. Judge John White sentenced him to 40 years in state prison. Betts will be given credit for the 26 months of time already served while awaiting trial. Betts said little during the court proceeding, answering the judge, “Yes, sir” when prompted. When asked how he pleaded to the two counts in the reduced plea agreement, he simply said, “Guilty.” The judge the asked Betts if he wanted to say anything to the court. CHICAGO - An 18-year-old man accused of murdering a 53-year-old during a lengthy crime spree Tuesday morning was ordered held without bail Friday.
Taevon Abston, of Austin, was part of the trio that gunned down Guillermo Antonio Quiles in Humboldt Park amidst a series of robberies pulled off in just over an hour on the West Side, according to the Cook County state’s attorney’s office.
Prosecutors said Abston and two other members of the Beam Team gang, who have not yet been charged, drove into rival gang territory after sticking up an Irving Park Dunkin’ Donuts and opened fire on Quiles as he walked in the 700 block of North Trumbull Avenue. Quiles, who was not "known to police," was pronounced dead at Mt. Sinai Hospital. Shell casings recovered from the scene matched Abston’s 9mm handgun, and police surveillance footage and private doorbell cameras captured the events on video, prosecutors said. |

Black Man Charged With Attempted Murder in Machete Attack on (White) man on bus 
CHARLOTTE – A Charlotte man says he thought he was going to die after a man stabbed him in the back with a machete on a CATS bus Wednesday afternoon.
(Black man) Venice Freeman was released from the hospital a day after the attack. His back is bandaged up, and he received several stitches. He says a man holding a machete walked onto the bus, and walked over to him and said he was going to kill him.
“I didn’t know him, I didn’t know who he was,” says Venice Freeman. Another man was stabbed in the head during that attack. He is expected to recover. Freeman was relieved CMPD arrested a suspect. 27-year-old Reginald Jakes was caught in the same neighborhood where the attack happened. He faces two counts of attempted murder. |
(Interracial) Duo Arrested After Their 3-Month-Old Twins Found With Multiple Fractures, Cigarette Burns, Adult Human Bite Marks
CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. — A Chester County couple is facing serious child abuse charges after investigators say their 3-month-old twins were found with multiple fractures, cigarette burns, and adult human bite marks, according to a news release.
Kentovian White and Jessica Mills were arrested on February 10th as part of the child abuse investigation, according to investigators.
Detectives say the three-month-old twins are suffering from multiple injuries including fractures to the skull, as well as multiple fractures throughout the body, and several other abusive injuries believed to be caused by cigarette burns and adult human bite marks. White and Mills are charged with two counts of inflicting great bodily injury upon a child. Both infants are at Levine Children’s Hospital. (Black) Man Arrested After DNA Evidence Links Him To Charlotte Area Sexual Assaults
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department say they arrested a man after DNA evidence linked him to two Charlotte area sexual assault cases.
Justinian Henderson, 31, is facing a slew of charges including rape, kidnapping, and sex offense.
Police say on August 3, 2018, a then 33-year-old woman was walking home from work on North Caldwell Street when a man sexually assaulted her. She was treated at a nearby hospital and evidence was collected as a result of the investigation. On March 20, 2019, a then 23-year-old woman was on Chipley Avenue in east Charlotte when a man allegedly pointed a weapon at the victim and then sexually assaulted her. She was also treated at a nearby hospital and evidence was collected as a result of the investigation, according to a news release. On January 14, 2021, a DNA match identified Henderson in both cases, according to a news release from CMPD. Police say Henderson’s DNA was initially tested in 2019 and sent to the lab for comparison. On February 11, 2021, police say Henderson was interviewed and then charged with four counts of first degree rape and first degree kidnapping in the 2018 case. He was also charged with three counts of first degree rape, first degree sex offense, first degree kidnapping, assault by pointing a gun and assault on a female for the 2019 case, according to a news release. |
Car repair dispute ends with (Black) man charged with attempted murder 
An argument over a car repair that simmered over several months appeared to boil over into a shooting that has resulted in an attempted murder charge.
Ralph Hightower Jr., 45, of West Palm Beach, is accused of attacking neighbor Marcus Lewis Harris with a baseball bat and then firing a gun at him.
Harris, a mechanic, said it seemed to start when he first looked at Hightower’s Kia Optima as a courtesy and determined it might need a new engine. No cost was mentioned and Hightower declined the repair, Harris said. About 9 a.m. on Jan. 17, Harris was outside fixing a neighbor’s car in the 1000 block of Henrietta Avenue when out of nowhere Hightower started yelling at him from down the street, Harris said Friday. “He said, ‘I’m gonna [expletive] you up. I’m gonna [expletive] you up,’” Harris said. “Thirty minutes later he comes at me with a bat.” So Harris said he grabbed a metal pole and a garbage can to defend himself. |

LINCOLNTON, N.C. — Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies say they have arrested two men after they tried to flee from police in a stolen BMW on February 10th.
Emanual Allen, 24, of Norwood, N.C. and Chase Bruton, 22, of Charlotte, N.C. and face charges for their involvement in this incident, according to a news release.
Deputy Starnes says on Wednesday he noticed a grayish blue BMW SUV with a burnt out brake light leaving a Quik Trip on Highway 73 traveling west, and attempted to conduct a traffic stop at Cross Cut Drive and Highway 73. Officers say as they approached the vehicle, the driver sped up to flee from the traffic stop, and Deputy Starnes pursued the vehicle until he lost sight of it. Police say a short time later they received a call about a car wreck near the entrance to the Trilogy subdivision, and when they investigated further, they found the wrecked vehicle was stolen from Albemarle, N.C. Officers say additional law enforcement units responded to set up a perimeter as the occupants fled the scene on foot. Deputies say they received a call from a Trilogy resident, after telling citizens in the area to be vigilant, about spotting the suspects walking on a subdivision street and attempting to enter a home under construction to hide from officers. Police say both men were found and taken into custody thanks to this tip. |

KEMAH, Texas – A track coach in Kemah is accused of sexually assaulting a teen girl, according to court records.
Floyd Thompson Jr., a track and field coach and personal trainer, is accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl, which began back in 2016 when he was 23 years older than the victim, according to court records.
The victim told investigators that Thompson was going to help her career by training her in workouts, but that as the two became closer, their relationship became more private, according to court records. “They became physically and mentally closer as time went on. He ingratiated himself with her family. They all became close. He related that he could help or could get her a scholarship,” Kemah Police Detective Brian Goetschius said. Thompson was paying her special attention, separating her from the rest of the trainees and giving her rides in his vehicle, according to court documents. The documents also stated Thompson encouraged the teen to talk to him about sexual acts she performed on her boyfriend. |

She was jogging near her home around 7th and Maryland avenues last week when she says a man jumped out of the bushes with an ax. According to court documents, the man, identified as 25-year-old Joshua Eicher, raised the ax above his head in a "menacing manner," and began yelling at Hopkins-Calligan. "I think if I would have waited one more second, he would have gotten me," Hopkins-Calligan said. "I just told myself keep running faster, as fast as fast as far as you can." She tracked down a car, and a stranger let her in. "It turned out to be an angel on earth, and she let me into her car, and we called 911," Hopkins-Calligan said. Eicher was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Hopkins-Calligan said she's thankful police were able to track him down quickly and take him into custody. Arizona legislator compares transgender people to farm animals
An Arizona state representative is facing an ethics complaint after he compared transgender people to farm animals at a Wednesday committee hearing.
The hearing was for House Bill 2725, which would require state identification documents to contain only a male or female gender marker. The bill pre-emptively bans nonbinary people, who are neither exclusively male nor female, from using gender-neutral X markers on their IDs, even though Arizona law doesn’t currently permit that.
State Rep. John Fillmore, the bill’s sponsor, said during the hearing that he “proposed this bill just to give clarity in government documents and was hoping to avoid the whole gender identity issue on the gender dysphoria,” according to a video of the hearing. "What’s going to happen when someday someone wakes up and they want to go to a far extreme and identify as a chicken or something, for crying out loud,” he added. “Where do we draw the line?” Gender dysphoria (GD) is the distress a person feels due to a mismatch between their gender identity and their sex "assigned" at birth.

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – Raleigh police said a man who worked as a UPS employee has died after shooting on S. East Street on Wednesday.
The shooting occurred around 2:30 p.m. in the 600 block of S. East Street, which is between Lenoir and Worth streets -near the intersection with E. South Street.
Police said Dylan Scott Wall, 23, was the victim of the shooting. Investigators say Wall was just working his shift when he was shot multiple times. Witnesses tell CBS 17 that they heard between seven and eight gunshots. One person described the scene as a “horror movie” and witnessed the arrest. “They got him with his hands behind his back and then as soon as they got him out, about 10 more cars, escalates, blacked-out cars came flying down. They were police officers in SWAT, riot gear, they had dogs, the whole shebang,” Rockford Wreck told CBS 17. He said several neighbors attempted to give first aid to Wall. “I think the neighbor went out to check for a pulse, and another neighbor came out to do CPR on him for about 10 minutes and they didn’t get anything I think,” he said. Stephen Joseph Bynem, 30, has been charged with murder in connection with Wall’s death. SCOTTSBORO, Ala. (WAFF) - Two people are dead and a newborn is under hospital care following a murder suicide on Wednesday.
The Scottsboro Police Department responded to a suspicious vehicle stopped in the intersection of Maple Street and North Houston Street around 6:15 a.m. on February 10.
Upon arriving on scene, officers discovered both occupants were dead in the vehicle as a result of fatal gunshot wounds. According to authorities, the occupants of the vehicle were identified as: Amber Michelle Coffman, age 35 of Hollywood and Owen Deanglo Williamson age 33 of Hollywood Authorities tell WAFF, Coffman was eight months pregnant. She was transported to Highlands Medical Center in an attempt to rescue the unborn child. With the help of first responders and medical staff at Highlands, the child was born, weighing around 4lbs and transported to Huntsville Hospital for further care. LAUREL, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - Two people have been arrested in connection with the robbery and murder of a popular attorney in Laurel.
According to police, Laurel detectives, with the assistance of the Prince George’s County Police Department, arrested Marie Nancy Hassan, 23, of Hyattsville, and Caleb Rinwi Gonga, 21, of Lanham, following a homicide investigation into the death of 43-year-old Brian Bregman.
Police say on Wednesday, February 3, officers responded to the 500 block of Main Street after receiving a report of a possible burglary. When they arrived at the residence, they found Bregman dead. He had been shot multiple times. An investigation revealed that Bregman invited Hassan to his residence on the night of Saturday, January 30. They believe the two were acquaintances. Syracuse, N.Y. — A man who hit and berated a woman in a live Facebook video this week in Syracuse has been arrested, police said.
Jabari Boykins, 18, has been charged with choking and threatening a woman who had an order of protection against him, the Syracuse Police Department announced Friday. He was arrested three days after the domestic violence attack was broadcast live on Facebook.
Alarmed residents called 911 on Tuesday after watching the livestreamed attack. One of the callers was the victim’s mother, according to police scanner dispatches. The video is 1 minute and 33 seconds. It starts with a man who police said is Boykins threatening to kill the woman if she refuses to appear in his Facebook live video. With no shirt on and a red towel wrapped around his waist, the man walks into another room and calls the woman a b-----. He drags the crying woman into the room and orders her to get in front of the camera. She begs for him to let her put a shirt on. Then, between a sob, she cries: “Let me go.” He swings out a hand and, within seconds, slaps her twice. Boykins has been charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony; criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, third-degree menacing and second-degree unlawful imprisonment, all misdemeanors; and second-degree harassment, a violation. He’s being held in the Onondaga County Justice Center, waiting for his arraignment, custody records show. A New Jersey woman was arrested Wednesday after police found her 12-year-old foster child chained to a fan inside her home, authorities said.
The boy was found in a bedroom at his foster home in Newark by police conducting a wellness check at about 10:10 a.m., according to authorities.
He was tethered to a fan by chains and padlocks, Newark Department of Public Safety said in a Thursday press release. The evil foster mother, 66-year-old Wanser Brown, is facing two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. The notorious Manhattan bank robber known as the “Burberry Bandit” because of his taste for designer clothes was slapped with a 13-count indictment by a federal grand jury for an alleged robbery spree in 2019 and 2020.
Cornell Neilly, who has been accused in state court of more than a dozen bank robberies since 2012, has also been hit with six bank robbery charges and seven attempted bank robbery charges in a federal indictment unsealed Thursday in Manhattan federal court.
The indictment alleges that from late June 2019 to July 10, 2019, Neilly attempted to rob or robbed nine Midtown banks. Neilly was sprung from state jail in December 2019 because of New York’s bail reform law, The Post reported at the time. He had been free for less than a month before being arrested for robbing a Chase bank in Midtown. |

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is searching for the suspect in a reported rape on the Westside.

Black Female Teen Will Be Tried as Adult in Fatal Beating of Homeless Man CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) — A 17-year-old girl will be tried as an adult in the beating death of a homeless man whose body was found in a southern New Jersey alleyway last year. Tresjure Knight, of Pennsville, is one of a pack of five juveniles charged in the death of Bobby Hill Jr., 63, who was attacked in Camden last June. Hill suffered multiple head injuries, and an autopsy determined that he died from blunt force trauma. A motive for the attack has not been disclosed. Knight faces counts of murder, conspiracy to commit aggravated assault and desecration of human remains, according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office. It wasn't known Friday if she has retained an attorney. Knight and a 15-year-old boy were arrested several days after the attack, while three other youths — ages 12, 13 and 14 — were arrested in November. Two teens in New Jersey have been arrested and charged with the murder of a homeless man. The man, identified as 63-year-old Bobby J. Hill Jr., was beaten at an alleyway in Camden. A medical examination later found that he died from severe head trauma with multiple injuries to his head. According to ABC News, the police received a call about a man being unresponsive on the midnight of June 25 according to Jill S. CHICKASHA — Convicted cocaine dealer Lawrence Paul Anderson was ordered back to prison in 2017 for 20 more years after being caught with a gun and using drugs.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — An arrest has been made in connection to the disappearance and death of 22-year-old Lesly Palacio.
46-year-old Jose Rangel was arrested on Jan. 19 by the US Customs and Border Control in San Diego, California.
Rangel was extradited to Las Vegas and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on Jan. 31. He is facing charges of harboring/concealing/aiding a felony offender and destroying/concealing evidence. Palacio was last seen on Aug. 29, 2020. On Sept. 9, her body was recovered near the Valley of Fire State Park in Moapa Valley. It was determined that foul play was involved. 25-year-old Erick Rangel-Ibarra was identified as the suspect in Palacio’s death. His father, Jose Rangel, was suspected of helping his son escape to Mexico.

Mohamed Fathy Suliman, 33, was recently expelled from Turkey and is now back in the United States.
A former resident of Gainesville in the U.S. state of Florida, Suliman reportedly traveled to Turkey in 2014 and attempted to enter Syria illegally to join IS, U.S. officials said during the announcement of his arrest. According to a criminal complaint, Suliman had a one-way flight reservation from Florida to Egypt in June 2014. However, during his layover in Turkey, instead of traveling to Egypt, he paid cash for a one-way ticket to the Turkish city of Gaziantep, near the border with Syria. SOUTHINGTON, CT — A Texas man who is a suspect in a Pennsylvania homicide case was arrested Thursday at a truck stop off Interstate-84 in Connecticut, authorities said.
At 11:30 a.m., troopers from the Connecticut State Police Central District Major Crime Squad arrested Tracy Rollins Jr., 28, of Dallas, TX, and charged him with being a fugitive from justice, state police said.

An East Mountain teen facing two murder charges fatally shot his grandfather and the man’s girlfriend, according to an arrest affidavit.
Nichlous Cole Williams, 19, was booked Sunday into the Upshur County Jail on two counts of murder. His bond is set at $250,000 on each charge.
At about 7:45 p.m. Sunday, Upshur County sheriff’s deputies and East Mountain police responded to a shooting in the 100 block of Posey Road in East Mountain. East Mountain residents Leonard Faris Gibson, 66, and Denene Suzanne Mosley, 53, were found dead at the scene. Police said they were notified on Jan. 26 by the girl that she had been raped 2 months earlier, according to police.
The girl said she was walking home from work when Andrew Singletary, 53, pulled his truck over near her and asked her why she was walking home alone in the dark, according to authorities.
The girl told Singletary the apartment complex she was headed to before he offered to drive her there, according to police. She told the police she agreed and got into the truck. Singletary took a different road than the one the apartment was on, telling the girl he had something to show her, according to the report. That was when she said she attempted to leave the vehicle but was unable to, police reported. Singletary took the girl to his home, instead, where he raped her, according to authorities. Prior to the incident, police said the girl told them Singletary had been stalking her at work. Singletary was charged with criminal sexual conduct, 1st degree and is being held without bond. |

Judge won’t dismiss (Black) murderer's Dayton triple murder case
A Montgomery County Judge denied a request to dismiss a case by a man accused of killing three people in Dayton last year.
Judge Steven Dankof wrote that, according to Ohio law, it would be wrong for him to consider the state’s evidence before trial and, therefore, a request by the defense for Octavius Lamont Humphrey, 41, has to be denied.
“Based on well-developed law, the court must not examine the quality or quantity of the state’s evidence, or lack thereof, to support the indicted charges and must find Mr. Humphrey’s motion without merit,” the decision says. Humphrey’s attorney, Lucas Wilder, argued that there is a lack of evidence in the case and that the judge should dismiss the charges. Humphrey is charged in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court with murder, felonious assault and having weapons under disability. He is accused of killing 45-year-old Dontay Alston of Dayton, 48-year-old Michael A. Jackson of Dayton and 37-year-old Justin Wilson of Wilmington in November at a home on the 2600 block of North Gettysburg Avenue in Dayton. |

It would be the first execution carried out by any state in 2021, although there have been federal executions, according to a list maintained by the Death Penalty Information Center.
U.S. District Judge Austin Huffaker, Jr. on Tuesday denied Smith’s lawyers request for a stay. The Alabama Supreme Court ruled the execution could go forward with precautions. |

CLEVELAND (WJW)– The man convicted of
killing 11 women and leaving their bodies around his house in Cleveland’s Mount Pleasant neighborhood died on Monday.
Anthony Sowell, 61, was incarcerated at the Chillicothe Correctional Institution. A spokeswoman for the Ohio Department of Corrections said he was receiving end-of-life care at the Franklin Medical Center for a terminal illness. He died Monday afternoon. It was not COVID-19 related.
Cleveland police were investigating a rape case against Sowell when they searched his house on Imperial Avenue and discovered two bodies on Oct. 29, 2009. Over the next several days, investigators worked to uncover and identify the remains of 11 women: Tonia Carmichael, Nancy Cobbs, Tishana Culver, Crystal Dozier, Telacia Fortson, Amelda Hunter, Leshanda Long, Michelle Mason, Kim Yvette Smith, Diane Turner and Janice Webb. Nearly two years later, a Cuyahoga County jury found Sowell guilty on 82 counts, including aggravated murder and kidnapping. He was also convicted of attacking three other women who survived. He was sentenced to death, but continued to appeal as recently as last May. |

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Police have arrested a suspect in the January murder of a man on Sweetwater Dr.
Columbus police have issued a warrant charging 29-year-old Deante Caruthers with the murder of 35-year-old Joseph Dukes.
Dukes was shot on Sweetwater Dr. in Columbus on Jan. 20 before driving himself to Moye Dr. and wrecking his vehicle. Police found Dukes lying on the ground next to the car. He was taken to Piedmont Columbus Regional where he passed away from his injuries. Caruthers was arrested Thursday night and charged with murder and violation of probation. AUBURN, Ala. (WTVM) - A shooting on S. College St. in Auburn that left one person injured has landed two men behind bars.
Following reports of a person being shot, police responded to the 1700 block of S. College St. where a 24-year-old Opelika man was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
A subsequent investigation found that an unknown suspect fired shots from a car into the victim’s car, striking him. He is currently listed in stable condition. Two other vehicles were also struck. Officers located the suspect’s vehicle driving south on I-80 and were able to stop it. The driver, 22-year-old Christopher Harris, and the passenger, 23-year-old Justin Upshaw, were arrested and charged with attempted murder and shooting into an occupied vehicle. Harris was also charged with attempting to elude police. The victim and suspects were acquaintances of one another and the shooting was a result of a previous altercation. |

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 70-year-old man carrying a “long metal spike” attacked a woman walking in Madison early Friday morning after she refused his sexual advances, an arrest warrant alleges.
Officers responded around 1 a.m. to the area of Gallatin Pike North and Old Hickory Boulevard, where the woman reported the attack.
The warrant states the woman told detectives she was approached by a man carrying a “long metal spike,” who propositioned her for sex. When she explained she was not a sex worker, she said the man grabbed her by the shoulder and “swung a long metal spike in a stabbing motion towards her throat” and said, “I’m sorry I have to do this.” The woman said she screamed, pushed the man’s arm away and ran into a car driven by her boyfriend. She said she and her boyfriend followed the man, until police arrived. Officers located the alleged attacker, identified in court documents as Willard Smith, at a gas station on Gallatin Pike North at Old Hickory Boulevard. The metal spike was also found nearby, according to investigators. Smith, 70, was arrested and booked into the Metro jail Friday morning on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Officers were called to reports of a stolen vehicle in the 300 block of North Donahue Dr. A short time later, officers located the vehicle riding down the road. After a brief pursuit, Fitch was apprehended. He was then arrested and charged. He is currently being held in the Lee County Jail on a $8,000 bond. |

A woman shoved and kicked an elderly passenger as they crossed paths outside a Manhattan bus, cops said Wednesday.
The 73-year-old victim was trying to board a bus on West 57th Street near Eighth Avenue around 11:15 a.m. Feb. 3 when a younger woman — joined by a child — attempted to get off the bus, according to police.
Both women blocked each other on a small pathway, because of the snow on the ground, cops said. The younger woman then allegedly pushed the senior to the ground and kicked her before walking off. The victim refused medical attention on scene for minor hand and leg injuries. Surveillance images show her inside a train station hours later. She was still at large Wednesday. |

HCHARLOTTE COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - A Virginia State Police officer, suspended during a rape investigation, told investigators the incident with his alleged victim was consensual.
According to court records obtained by WDBJ7, Officer Derrick Thompson acknowledged having sex with a woman in September 2020; the woman told investigators she had told Thompson, “Derrick, stop,” and pushed him away. She then drove herself to a hospital for an examination.
A search warrant indicates DNA was requested from Thompson as part of the investigation. Thompson was suspended without pay following his arrest February 4. He has been charged with one felony count of rape, one felony count of sodomy and one felony count of object sexual penetration. |

Police say Evans abused the two boys separately and repeatedly between January 2017 and June 2020, when the more recent victim reported the abuse to Tullytown police.
Evans began abusing the foster child in April 2020 shortly after the boy, who was 16 at the time, was placed in his care. The victim reportedly told police abuse happened “several times a week, too many times to count.” Evans also had nude photos of the boy and would arrange sexual encounters with other men in which he included the boy, according to Deputy District Attorney Mary Kate Kohler. The boy said Evans would give him alcohol and marijuana before and after the abuse. Evans told the boy about the previous victim and that no one believed the first victim and no one would believe him if he reported the abuse. That victim, now 17, reported to police that Evans sexually assaulted him on numerous occasions. Charges were filed as a result of a renewed investigation. BENTONVILLE — A Rogers man accused of murder was arrested Monday in connection with raping an inmate in the Benton County Jail.
David Arthur Adair Jr., 27, is being held without bond in the Benton County Jail. He pleaded not guilty to a charge of capital murder in the death of Lavonte Jackson.
Jackson’s body was found Feb. 24, 2020, on the side of Van Hollow Road near Beaver Lake.
Benton County Sheriff Shawn Holloway said last year deputies think Jackson was killed in the Beaver Shores area near the Arkansas 12 bridge, which is 7 or 8 miles from where the body was found.

The Confucius Institute U.S. Center facilitates Chinese language and cultural courses in around 500 K-12 schools and 65 colleges across the country. China hawks in the U.S. have long accused the programs of being a tool of the Chinese Communist Party, pointing to the institute's links to the Hanban organisation, which is affiliated with Beijing's Ministry of Education. On December 31, 2020, the Trump administration submitted a proposed rule to the Department of Homeland Security that would have required American educational establishments to disclose links with Confucius Institutes. The rule would also apply to other cultural institutes or student groups funded directly or indirectly by China. On January 26, less than one week into the Biden administration, the policy was revoked, Campus Reform reported. It cited a spokesperson from Immigration and Customs Enforcement and records from the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs. The move sparked accusations from some GOP lawmakers that this would allow Beijing to push propaganda unchecked in American schools and universities. In a statement, Sen. Cotton described the Confucius Institutes as "front groups for the Chinese Communist Party." "The federal government ought to shut down these regime-run institutes or, at a minimum, require colleges to disclose their secret agreements with them," the Arkansas senator said. AKRON, Ohio — A man who raped a teen girl then ended up holding three teens hostage during a standoff with police was sentenced to prison Monday after pleading guilty to multiple felony charges.
Craig Stubbs, 34, of Akron, was sentenced to 18 to 22 years in prison by Summit County Common Pleas Court Judge Susan Baker Ross. Ross also designated Stubbs a Tier III sex offender, meaning he will have to register with the local sheriff every 90 days for the rest of his life following his release from prison.
According to prosecutors, in October 2019 Stubbs was out of jail on bond on a burglary charge when he went back to the home he was accused of burglarizing. Stubbs cut off an ankle monitor before going to the home. Three teens were in the home when Stubbs arrived. Prosecutors say Stubbs threatened to kill the teens and would not allow them to leave. He then raped one of the teens, a girl that he knew, prosecutors say. Police arrived and Stubbs ended up in a standoff. One of the teens managed to escape, and the other teens were able to get out of the house when Stubbs barricaded himself in a room, prosecutors say. Stubbs eventually was arrested by police. |

Before the trial can move forward, attorneys need to address a motion to dismiss a human trafficking charge that was dropped following the preliminary hearing. It appeared the charge was reinstated, though it’s unclear when, since Acosta was seeking to have it dismissed ahead of the trial. (Martinsville, Virginia) --- Two men have been charged — one with first-degree — from that deadly shootout that killed two and wounded two Friday night at El Norteno Restaurant in Martinsville.
Jamal Emun Jenkins, 24, of Collinsville has been charged with first degree murder, and Rosario Nasiar Eggleston, 20, of Martinsville has been charged with malicious wounding and conspiracy to commit aggravated malicious wounding.
Both men also have been charged with use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and willful discharge of a firearm in a public place resulting in a death.

A group of robbers punched four Bronx supermarket employees — and slashed one of them with a boxcutter — in a wild brawl that only netted them $50, cops said.
The four suspects were stealing items from inside Fine Fare Supermarkets on Westchester Avenue near Intervale Avenue in Longwood around 2:10 p.m. Saturday when four employees confronted them, police said.
The bandits then socked the workers — and one of them pulled out a box cutter, slashing an employee on his right hand, authorities said. The group — captured in surveillance footage released late Sunday — left with only $50, heading south on Kelley Street, cops said. |

According to police, 18-year-old Jamir Rashad Lewis was arrested on Feb. 5 on two counts of aggravated assault.
According to police, a female victim was driving on Kentucky Avenue around 12:50 a.m. when a vehicle made a sudden stop in front of her. An occupant in the other vehicle fired multiple shots at her vehicle and then sped from the scene. Detectives identified Lewis as the suspect, who stated he fired a gun at the victim’s vehicle because he thought it was following him. |

Donald Williams Jr., 34, was arrested by SPD on Tuesday and had additional charges filed against him by CCPD the following day.
Authorities say they received several reports in recent weeks of a man in the area who had flashing blue lights mounted to his car, wore a badge and a reflective vest with 'Police' on it. Their investigation led them to Williams.

Police have located a suspect after a deadly shooting near Georgia Gwinnett College on Thursday morning prompted a manhunt and lockdown at the school’s Lawrenceville campus.
Roceam Jarez Wilson, 26, was taken into custody after an initial search of the area around the college came up empty, according to Gwinnett County police. He was arrested on charges of murder, aggravated assault and weapon possession in the shooting that killed 23-year-old Bradley Jordan at the Sugar Mills Apartments on Walther Boulevard.
“Detectives believe that Jordan was at the location for his job as a pest control worker when he was approached by Wilson outside of one of the apartments,” Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. Collin Flynn said in a news release. “At this time, a motive for the murder is not clear.” Wilson, who is homeless, was “quickly identified by detectives who followed up on evidence at the scene,” Flynn said. (Black Arrested) Deadly Las Vegas double shooting happened over drugs, money, report says
LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -- A man was arrested in a double homicide last month.
Michael Ellis, 38, is being held at the Clark County Detention Center where he faces two charges of open murder.
According to Ellis' arrest report, multiple people reported hearing gunshots on Jan. 8 about 5:30 p.m. at the Harbor Island Apartments. When officers arrived, they found two men, identified as Sean McLemore and Antwan Pope, with multiple gunshot wounds. Both died from their injuries.
Witnesses at the scene said they saw the two victims in a fight with an unknown man, that led to the suspect firing multiple shots at both men. The suspect ran from the area then fled in a vehicle. Multiple tips to Crime Stoppers identified the suspect as Ellis, the report said. A security officer later confirmed Ellis was at the complex at the time of the shooting. Police traced the registration of the vehicle seen in surveillance footage to its owner, and later found her and Ellis. Ellis told police he hadn't been at the complex in months and denied ever driving the car. The car's owner told police she let him borrow it multiple times, but couldn't recall the night of the shooting as she said she was high on marijuana. She did, however, confirm to police that the vehicle in the surveillance footage was hers. A few days after the shooting, police contacted a friend of both victims who said one of the men killed owed drugs and money to Ellis. Ellis was arrested by police on Jan. 30. He's expected in court again on Feb. 16. |

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Petersburg Bureau of Police made an arrested in a shooting that occurred in the 40 block of Summit Street.
Police later identified 20-year-old Xavier Butts of Petersburg. He was taken into custody around 9 a.m. Sunday morning without incident. Rhashawn Jaequan Singleton, 18, was arrested and charged with two counts of malicious wounding and two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony for his involvement in the shooting. (WKRG) — A man from Texas was booked on a charge of attempted murder Saturday evening in Mobile Metro Jail. 44-year-old Tawanne Lucas was booked into Mobile Metro Jail at about 6 pm last night and charged with attempted murder. Jail records show a warrant was issued for his arrest in December.
It’s not clear what crime this case could be connected to. While Lucas does have a Texas address listed he has a number of prior arrests in Mobile Metro Jail, at least one arrest shows a Mobile address. (Black) Tallahassee woman charged with attempted murder after shooting at victim's car 
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — A 19-year-old has been charged with attempted murder after Tallahassee police said she shot up another woman's car over an argument about a damaged air mattress.
According to probable cause documents, the Tallahassee Police Department responded to Bates Drive on Jan. 31 for a shooting incident. When they arrived, they spotted the victim's vehicle parked in the road with apparent damage from gunfire.
Police said the victim told them that she had received a call from the suspect, 19-year-old Ledeja Freeman, stating that she wanted to fight. According to the victim, "the argument stemmed from an incident with a damaged air mattress a few days prior." Just before 7:30 p.m. that night, the victim then received text messages from Freeman, some reading "Really I came to kill you" and "You are going to die." About five minutes later, documents stated that the victim arrived home and Freeman was waiting there for her in a Nissan Altima. "When [the victim] parked... Freeman purportedly exited the Nissan, approached [the victim's] car, brandished a firearm, banged on the windows with the gun, and threatened to kill [the victim]," investigators wrote in the probable cause report. Eventually, the victim told police that Freeman "appeared to give up" and walked toward the back of the victim's car. However, Freeman then turned around and fired several rounds at the victim's car while the victim was still seated inside. Investigators noted that the texts sent to the victim's phone as well as the spent cartridge casings and bullet fragments found at the scene corroborated the victim's account of the shooting. Based on the evidence, police found probable cause to charge Freeman for attempted murder. She was arrested on Feb. 2. |
Authorities arrest (Black) Westlake man for rape and contributing to delinquency of juveniles 
LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a Westlake man on Wednesday for 1st-degree rape and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles.
According to CPSO, detectives received a complaint on January 19, in reference to Brandon J. Savoy, 26, of Westlake, having inappropriate sexual contact with a child under the age of 13.
During the investigation the victim advised detectives the incident occurred at Savoy’s residence. It was also learned Savoy, who was babysitting the victim along with two other children, also under the ages of 13, provided them with marijuana and allowed them to smoke, according to Vincent. Vincent says detectives attempted to make contact with Savoy numerous times but he advised he was out of town. Savoy also failed to show up for a scheduled interview with detectives. According to Vincent, after further investigation, on February 3, detectives executed a search warrant at Savoy’s residence and located marijuana along with drug paraphernalia in his bedroom. BLACK Man Who Just Moved To Tulsa Accused Of Assaulting People In Downtown
TULSA, Okla. - Tulsa Police say a man who just arrived in Tulsa from Oregon a couple months ago, has already been accused of assaulting at least four people downtown.
Police say at first, they thought they were all separates cases, then they tied them all to one suspect.
Police say they learned Richard Stuart took a bus to Tulsa from Oregon about a month before he was arrested. Police say during that month, there was a big spike in assaults, in downtown Tulsa.
“When you see a spike, or an increase that is unusual year to year, then you have to look at what’s going on. What’s causing that? Was there a large bar fight this month?” said Sergeant Brandon Davis with the Tulsa Police Downtown IMPACT Unit. It wasn’t a bar fight. Police said every attack was random, the victim didn’t know the attacker, and witnesses also didn’t know the person. GODFREY, Ill. (KTVI) – Authorities are looking for a 34-year-old Illinois man accused of setting fire to his home while his wife and their children were still in the residence.
On Tuesday, the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office charged Andre Darnell Mathis, who remained at large and was considered armed and dangerous.
The fire occurred Monday around 4 a.m. Deputies with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office were called to the home in Godfrey for a possible domestic disturbance. The woman who called dispatchers said her husband was acting erratically and was emotionally distraught. She said he was also armed. Deputies arrived and found seven children near the home’s entryway. Deputies got the children and the mother out of the home safely. Investigators learned there had been a physical altercation involving the homeowners. The mother told deputies she didn’t know her husband’s whereabouts. The fire was eventually extinguished, but the home, which had became engulfed in flames, was a total loss. Mathis is charged with one count of aggravated arson, armed violence, aggravated domestic battery, child pornography and indecent solicitation of a child. His bond was set at $1 million. A Fresno man has been arrested on suspicion of raping a 15-year-old girl from Parlier and human trafficking, police say.
According to a news release from the Parlier Police Department, John Chatman was arrested Friday in Fresno. Investigators believed that the teenager was lured for sex on Jan. 26 to a Motel 6 in Fresno, where other female teens and older men gathered.
Police said Chatman, 27, manipulated the victim to continue performing sexual acts. Parlier police tracked Chatman down with the help of a Fresno County team of officers. Chatman has been booked into the Fresno County jail and is awaiting trial on several felony sexual assault charges, including rape by force or fear. |

BLACK-HISPANIC Aztec man arrested in alleged kidnapping case at Durango hotel 
The Durango Police Department announced late Friday the man, identified as Terrill Jamil Jaquez, was arrested in Farmington. The woman was also found safe and suffered no serious injury.
Authorities said that at about 9:47 p.m. Thursday, a disturbance was reported at the Comfort Inn & Suites at 455 South Camino del Rio, in Bodo Industrial Park south of downtown Durango.
It was reported to law enforcement that a woman entered the lobby of the hotel and asked to check into a room. Durango police said in a statement the woman appeared upset and concerned another person would enter the lobby. Authorities asked for the public’s help in identifying a man and a woman, in which the man is suspected of kidnapping the woman at Comfort Inn & Suites, 455 South Camino del Rio, on Thursday night in Durango. MEXICAN-named Parolee arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting woman in Twentynine Palms 
A parolee accused of attempting to rape a woman in Twentynine Palms last week has been arrested.
Manuel Tarango, 34, of Yucca Valley was arrested on Thursday. He was booked into the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga, where he is being held without bail due to violating his parole.
In the early hours of January 26, deputies from the Morongo Basin Sheriff's Station received reports of an attempted rape at a residence in Twentynine Palms. Deputies arrived and learned that Tarango had sexually assaulted an adult female at the location, according to the department. WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Wichita Police say they have made a Capital Murder arrest in the deaths of Kaylah Blackmon, 18, and Michael Beasley, 17.
WPD says they have arrested Dontenize Kelly, 22, for capital murder and an outstanding warrant, stemming from the investigation into the death of the two teens.
Beasley was found dead on Monday, and Blackmon was found deceased on Thursday. Through the investigation, WPD says Kelly was involved. Police say he was arrested on Friday evening without incident. WPD Chief Gordon Ramsey added, “It appears that the suspect in this case has been previously convicted of a felony charge.” This investigation is ongoing and the case will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office. Kasey Dashawn Garland, 25, of Ragan Avenue, High Point, was convicted by a jury of felony first degree murder, felony attempted robbery with a deadly weapon, felony conspiracy to commit robbery with a deadly weapon and felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Garland was given a life sentence for the crimes after a trial that concluded Monday in Davidson County Superior Court. Lawyers for Garland said they will appeal. SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - Agents with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division have arrested a man in connection with an officer-involved shooting that occurred over the weekend.
Pharis Leon Blair, 37, has been charged with 2nd-degree assault and battery.
On January 30, a deputy with the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about a hostile suspect Officials say Blair attacked the deputy and repeatedly struck him on the head and in the face. Blair was shot by the deputy during the altercation. He was transported from the scene to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries and later released. The deputy, later identified as Sr. Cpl. Nelson Rosario, was treated at an area hospital and released. He has been put on administrative duty while SLED conducts its investigation. Blair is being held at the Sumter County Detention Center. The case will be prosecuted by the 3rd Circuit Solicitor’s Office. |
4 (Blacks) charged in fatal shooting in Tacoma’s Hilltop neighborhood
Four people have been charged in the fatal shooting of a 22-year-old in Tacoma’s Hilltop neighborhood.
Pierce County prosecutors on Tuesday charged Jeremy Curts, 22; Lester Lewis, 35; Dijon Long, 19; and Armani Young, 17, with first-degree murder, first-degree assault and attempted first-degree robbery in the Jan. 18 death of Kieyree Spencer. All four pleaded not guilty at arraignment. Superior Court Judge Stanley Rumbaugh set bail at $1 million each for Curts and Long, and at $1.5 million for Lewis. Judge Edmund Murphy set bail at $1 million for Young.
The shooting took place in the 1800 block of South 15th Street.
Police say the four planned to rob Spencer and his friend of 35 grams of marijuana after arranging to buy some. A 20-year-old man in the car with Spencer was shot and seriously injured. |
Police arrest (Black) suspect in fatal shooting at business on Platt Springs Road
LEXINGTON, S.C. (WIS) - Deputies with Lexington County Sheriff’s Department have arrested a suspect in a fatal shooting that occurred at a business on Platt Springs Road on the morning of January 31.
Officials say that Regin Nicreis Oakman, 26, is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Lexington County Coroner identified the victim in this crime as 39-year-old Michael Lewis Keaton of Gaston. During the course of the investigation, the department was able to determine that the shooting stemmed from an argument between the two men who worked together at the business. That’s when witnesses say Oakman pulled out a gun and shot Keaton. Deputies previously said the two men were arguing and fighting when a third person fired a shot that struck one of the men. |

TEXARKANA, Texas – The Texas Department of Public Safety is searching for a man who they say is wanted for multiple crimes, including murder.Marques Jujuan Thompson, 20, is charged with murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm, battery, stalking and intimidation and a probation violation and has been added to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list. Thompson violated his probation and fled his last known address in Texarkana in August 2020, authorities said. Since then, police said he has been involved in multiple shootings, including one that ended in a person’s death on Jan 12. According to his wanted bulletin, Thomson has an extensive criminal history, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, theft of a firearm, terroristic threat, stalking, domestic battery and harassment. Thompson is described as a Black man with brown eyes and black hair. He is approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. Authorities described Thompson as a violent criminal who also has ties to the Dallas Metroplex area. Police said he is to be considered armed and dangerous. Texas Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to Thompson’s arrest. |
2 hurt in Newnan shooting; BLACK Suspect charged with aggravated assault
NEWNAN, Ga. — Police say a person is in custody after a shooting in Newnan on Thursday.
Fire officials who responded to the shooting along with police said the shooting happened in the area of Neal Street. Police said on Thursday that two people were involved, one of whom was shot and taken to an area hospital. The other person was in Newnan Police Department custody.
However, on Friday in an update, police said two victims - a man and a woman - were hurt inside of a home.
"Emergency medical aid was rendered to both victims on the scene before the female victim was transported via air ambulance to an Atlanta area hospital for treatment," police said in a news release. "Both victims are expected to survive." The suspect, 20-year-old Reno Deonta Florence was taken into custody near the scene. Florence is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, according to police. |
BLACK Nassau Bay man convicted, sentenced to 13 years for kicking officer in face, chest
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A Nassau Bay man was convicted of kicking a law enforcement officer in the face and chest and sentenced to 13 years in prison, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office announced Friday.
A jury convicted Anthony Earl Foreman, 30, on Wednesday of assaulting a peace officer, a second-degree felony. State District Judge Hazel Jones sentenced Foreman following a three-day trial this week, the district attorney’s office said.
Because he had been sentenced to prison before for a similar offense, Foreman faced a possible sentence of five years to life in prison. “Our commitment to public safety includes seeking justice for public servants, like in this case, who are injured in the line of duty while doing their job professionally,” District Attorney Kim Ogg said. “We’re not going to tolerate anyone who repeatedly assaults other people, especially when they have a history of assaulting peace officers doing their jobs.” While Foreman was being arrested in April 2019 on suspicion of parole violation, he became violent, the district attorney’s office said. Deputies with the Pct. 8 Constable’s office were called to assist, and Foreman was placed in the back of a police car. Alone in the back seat, he broke the back window of the unit, either by kicking it or head-butting it. After he was moved to a different police vehicle, a sergeant with Pct. 8 tired to put restraints on his legs. Foreman kicked the officer in the chest and the face, the district attorney’s office said. |

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (The T&D) - A 40-year-old Orangeburg man is facing drug and weapon charges following a recent traffic stop.
“This was one traffic stop, one arrest and yet it yielded three more firearms in the hands of someone who can’t possess a firearm,” Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said in a release.
“These are firearms that are now off the street and shouldn’t have been in this individual’s hands anyway,” he said. Edward Haynes was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of molly/ecstasy, possession of a stolen pistol, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and unlawful carrying of a pistol. As a response to community complaints about shots being fired in the area, Orangeburg County Sheriff’s investigators were patrolling Stilton Road Thursday when they spotted a vehicle in a vacant lot. Investigators searched the occupant and vehicle after smelling marijuana coming from the inside. The sheriff’s office reports marijuana, molly, two rifles and a pistol were seized. HISPANIC Minneapolis man charged with murder of man found in Inver Grove Heights snowbank 
A HISPANIC "Minneapolis" man was charged Thursday with murder in the death of a man found in a snowbank in Inver Grove Heights earlier this week.
According to the Dakota County Attorney's Office, 42-year-old Gabriel Alfonso Sanchez Cruz is charged with one count of second-degree murder in the death of 38-year-old Bryant Jon Lutgens, of Burnsville.
A criminal complaint states Inver Grove Heights police officers were called to report of a dead man in a snowbank on the*1300 block of 60th Street West*at about 8 a.m. on Monday. There, officers found Lutgens, who appeared to have died from a gunshot wound to the head. Police said Lutgens didn't have any identification, a cellphone or a vehicle nearby. An investigation indicated Lutgens had gone to see a female friend in Bloomington around 10 p.m. the night before, and left after a short time to pick up some money. The friend never saw him again that night and didn't receive a response the next day when she called to wish him a happy birthday, the complaint states. On Wednesday, officers made contact with the rental company, which the Jeep Lutgens was driving belonged to, and the tracking system was used to locate the vehicle in Minneapolis. After attempting to stop the vehicle, a short pursuit ensued, during which time a gun was thrown from the vehicle. However, it was later recovered by officers, police said. Eventually, the vehicle crashed and three people tried to run away, including the driver, who was identified as Cruz. The complaint also states that the recovered gun was a 9mm semi-automatic, and was determined to be the same caliber as the one used to kill Lutgens. A witness came forward on Wednesday and told police Lutgens had dropped her off at Cruz's apartment in Richfield the night before he died at around 9 p.m. The witness told police that Cruz wasn't home at the time but she had permission to enter his apartment, and Cruz asked her if Lutgens had any methamphetamine, to which she replied she thought so. Cruz then spoke to Lutgens over the phone. The last time she saw Lutgens was around 10 p.m., the witness said. The witness also noted that Cruz came back to the apartment at around 11:45 p.m. that night with another person. She told police Cruz was acting "off" and was talking fast. The complaint states Cruz told the witness that he'd met up with Lutgens, pulled out a gun to rob him and, when he struggled and fell into the snowbank, Cruz walked up to him, shot him and took his belongings. MUSLIM Sister-in-law of San Bernardino terrorist gets 3 years probation in immigration fraud case 
Corona resident Tatiana Farook, the sister-in-law of the male 2015 San Bernardino terrorist attacker, was sentenced to three years probation Friday, Feb. 5, for her role in an immigration and marriage fraud scheme discovered during the probe into the shooting that killed 14 people and wounded 22 others.
She had pleaded guilty in 2017 to one felony count of conspiracy to commit immigration fraud in U.S. District Court in Riverside.
Prosecutors had sought three years probation, three months home confinement and 112 hours of community service before she was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Jesus G. Bernal. Farook’s husband, Syed Raheel Farook, was previously sentenced to three years probation for participating in the same scheme that attempted to help Tatiana’s Russian-born sister gain permanent U.S. residency. 
“She made a terrible mistake and broke the law out of love for her sister,” her attorney, Dyke E. Huish told Bernal, arguing for probation only. Raheel Farook’s brother, Syed Rizwan Farook, and Rizwan’s wife Tashfeen Malik, laid siege to a San Bernardino County Division of Environmental Health holiday party and training session at the Inland Regional Center on Dec. 2, 2015. Iran on Saturday praised the Biden administration’s decision to halt support for offensive operations in Yemen while pressuring it to return to the Obama-era nuclear deal.
The country’s foreign ministry hailed President Biden’s decision Saturday on Yemen, which would reverse a policy of backing offensive efforts by the Saudi-led coalition that has fueled a humanitarian crisis. Saudi Arabia and its Gulf Arab allies are fighting a brutal war against Yemen’s Houthi rebels, which have ties to Iran.
“Stopping support ... for the Saudi coalition, if not a political maneuver, could be a step towards correcting past mistakes,” Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said, according to state media. The praise comes two days after Biden announced the reversal, which followed mounting bipartisan concerns over the civilian fallout from the Saudi coalition’s offensive. The president also appointed veteran diplomat Timothy Lenderking as his special envoy to Yemen. “This war has to end,” Biden said during an address at the State Department. “And to underscore our commitment, we are ending all American support for offensive operations in the war in Yemen, including relevant arm sales." Besides halting support for offensive operations, the State Department Friday also said it is revoking an 11th hour decision by the Trump administration to label the Houthis a terrorist group, a label critics had warned could hinder the deliverance of humanitarian aid to areas under the rebels’ control. While Iran praised the Yemen moves, it also urged Biden to take concrete steps toward rejoining the Iran nuclear deal. The pact was finalized under former President Obama in 2015, but former President Trump announced in 2018 he was withdrawing the U.S. from the deal. |

3 (Black) men charged after teen shot to death in Jennings alley
JENNINGS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- Three men have have been charged after a 17-year-old was found shot to death in a Jennings alley in 2019.
St. Louis County police said they were called to a scene on Strathmore Place near West Florissant in Jennings shortly after 1:00 p.m. on Oct. 23, 2019, where they found the teen boy shot to death. The next day police identified the teen as Caleb Smith.
The first suspect, Deryon Thomas, 19, was charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action for the crime. His cash-only bond was set at $1 million.
Two other suspects, Jalen Simms, 26, and Christopher Williams, 28, were charged in the shooting on Jan. 25, 2021. According to court documents, Thomas, Simms and Wiliams all chased Smith when he ran into an alley. Thomas and Williams got out of a car and allegedly fired multiple shots towards Smith while he continued to run away. |

EAST ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – A St. Louis man is facing charges after a body was found near the Poplar Street Bridge earlier this month, police say.
On Jan. 13, police in East St. Louis found the body of Charles Braxton, of Florissant, at 6th Street and Trendley Avenue. According to police, the 57-year-old was killed in the 2900 block of Michigan 10 days before his body was found.
Neighbors of Braxton in Florissant had reported him missing on Jan. 3, police said. When St. Louis detectives were notified the homicide took place in their jurisdiction, they took over the investigation. According to the probable cause statement, Lamont E. Johnson, 51, fatally shot Braxton, when Braxton showed up at Johnson's home to collect rent. Johnson was paying rent to Braxton for the home on Michigan Avenue, which belonged to a recently dead relative. The two argued over rent and then the dispute became physical and Johnson shot Braxton, authorities said. Johnson admitted that he wrapped the Braxton's body in a rug, drove the body to East St. Louis and hid it under the bridge. |

ALTON, Ill. (KMOV.com) – The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis arrested a man after two bodies were found inside a burned Alton home earlier this week. The investigation began after firefighters were called to a home in the 2300 block of Wedgewood around 6 a.m. Monday. Officials said two bodies were later found inside the residence.
Officers determined the men were murdered, though they did not specify what their investigation revealed. Tuesday, the victims were identified as Robert Andrews, 59, and Leonard "James" Ebrey, 67. Friday, the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis said they arrested and charged 22-year-old Bryce V. Andrews, whom they had previously identified as a person of interest in the case. Police said Andrews' is the adopted son of Robert Andrews from a previous relationship. Andrews is charged with two counts of first degree murder. Police said he stabbed both victims, causing their death, and then started the house fire. "This was not a random act of violation - this was an internal act of tragedy," State's Attorney Tom Haine said. Andrews was located at a local hospital, police said, where he was taken into custody Friday morning. No motive for the slayings was provided. |

ST. LOUIS (AP) — A man charged with killing a St. Louis woman and her two young daughters took a bus to escape the scene and was captured about 100 miles away in Illinois, authorities said.
Ronald Marr, 34, was arrested Thursday, hours after the killings. He is charged with three counts each of first-degree murder and armed criminal action. He was jailed without bond in Effingham, Illinois, awaiting extradition to St. Louis.

The Mobile Police Department is investigating an officer-involved shooting at a residence located at 7200 Lakeview Drive East. The incident happened Thursday, February 4, 2021, shortly before 6 a.m. when SWAT officers arrived to serve two arrest warrants and execute a search warrant on the residence.
The first suspect, 22-year-old Tyhre Webster, was out on bond for shooting into an occupied/unoccupied vehicle. The second suspect, 18-year-old Treyh Webster, was out on bond for robbery first degree. Both had active warrants for intimidating a witness and reckless endangerment, stemming from an incident in which the victim of a robbery was threatened and shot at.
Upon arrival, the SWAT officers announced themselves and made entry into the residence. Officers were immediately engaged with gunfire that was coming from a back bedroom. The officers then heard a female stating she had been shot. During the gunfire, a SWAT officer returned gunfire striking 18-year-old Treyh Webster. He was pronounced deceased on scene. The woman, identified as the mother of the suspects, was quickly removed from the residence and provided first aid until medical arrived on the scene. At this time, the mother is listed in stable condition. A 17-year-old juvenile was also arrested and charged with certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm. YORK, S.C. — Deputies in York County have arrested a man in connection with the deadly shooting of a South Carolina rapper last month.
According to the York County Sheriff's Office, 18-year-old Paul Harts was rushed to Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill after being shot on the night of Jan. 23. Harts, a rapper who performed under the stage name 18Veno, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
On Friday, York County investigators announced two arrests in connection with Harts' death. Khalil Lahenra Robinson, 20, of Winnsboro, South Carolina, was arrested on Feb. 4. Robinson was taken into custody and charged with voluntary manslaughter. He was denied bond. Deputies also announced the arrest of 22-year-old Christopher Lamont McCollough on drug-related charges linked to the case. More charges are pending in the investigation. |

Domonique Freeman was arrested Thursday and is facing preliminary murder charges almost four months after police found 18-year-old Randall Jenkins shot to death in the 2700 block of Hyche Avenue on Oct. 16.
According to police records, witnesses said the shooting occurred after an argument between the two teens. One witness told police Jenkins challenged Freeman to a fight without guns moments before he was shot. Investigators at the scene recovered 10 spent .40 caliber cartridges, and an autopsy revealed Jenkins suffered gunshot wounds to the neck, abdomen and extremities, documents show. |

(WCTV) - The Leon County Sheriff’s Office says it arrested a man on murder charges in connection to a Jan. 2020 homicide in the 2700 block of Pecan Road.👈Cleveland McNair, 36, was charged with first-degree murder on Tuesday. On Dec. 8, 2020, 51-year-old Sherill Conner was arrested on accessory to murder charges, and her testimony helped lead to McNair’s arrest, according to the probable cause affidavit. The affidavit says Conner was angry law enforcement officers couldn’t remove the victim, John Dees, from her home the night of the murder. Conner called McNair for help, since she knew he was intimidating and has a “violent persona.” Investigators determined McNair had an unknown suspect drive him to Conner’s residence and somehow convinced the victim to leave with him, the affidavit says. “Surveillance cameras capture this as Dees appears to be leaving voluntarily and presumably with the expectation of returning due to none of his personal property being carried with him,” the affidavit says. Phone records indicate the last call Dees made happened about two minutes after leaving the residence with McNair. About 48 minutes later, McNair and the unknown suspect came back to Conner’s residence without Dees. “[Dees’] device somehow made it back to Conner’s residence where she later disposed of it,” the affidavit says. Conner looked in the back of the car and saw Dees wasn’t there, then she, McNair and the other suspect went inside to gather Dees’ property and dispose of it, according to the affidavit. “McNair provided several accounts of what occurred and when confronted with certain evidence, would change his account or attempt to justify his reason for making the false statement,” the affidavit says. “Investigators were able to prove several statements made by Mcnair as false.” |
Tallahassee police arrest(Black) suspect in fatal New Year’s Day stabbing
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - The Tallahassee Police Department says it has made an arrest in a fatal New Year’s Day stabbing on Lake Avenue.
According to TPD, officers were called to the 1500 block of Lake Avenue around 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 1, 2021. When they arrived at the scene, officers found a man, 60-year-old Lawrence Williams, who died from stab wounds.
TPD says after a “swift and thorough investigation” by its Violent Crimes Unit, a person of interest was identified and arrested for murder. The department says the suspect knew the victim personally. Court documents indicate Michael Lagrane, 48, was the suspect charged in the murder. |

According to court documents, the shooter was 19-year-old Deshawn Bolds, who allegedly sent the victim several texts threatening to shoot and kill her earlier that day. Court records say he and the victim -- the mother of Bolds' child -- were arguing throughout the day over the phone. At one point, Bolds threatened to hurt the woman. She was at a friend's house in Portland when she told police Bolds became friendlier and wanted to talk to her. That's when he showed up at the house. Police say as the victim walked outside, Bolds got out of a car with a gun and started shooting before taking off. She was shot four times in and around her chest, but survived. |

Island Bonner is charged with assault, sexual abuse and property damage. Bonner walked past a 25-year-old woman while she was on a running trail between Grand Drive and Union Drive Saturday afternoon. Police say Bonner then started to follow the victim, who, fearing for her safety, ran, but Bonner chased after her.
The woman then hid in nearby bush, and thinking Bonner was gone, climbed out. Police say Bonner then punched the woman in the face, causing her to fall to the ground. Bonner is accused of then getting on top of the woman, inappropriately touching her and strangling her. Bonner then allegedly took the woman's iPhone, but dropped it and ran. LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB)– Tywaun Barnes, 39, of Niagara Falls was arrested February 3 on the charge of criminal possession of a stolen vehicle in the 4th degree, according to the Niagara County Sheriff.
The sheriff’s office tells us Barnes was arrested after DNA linked him to a stolen vehicle in the Town of Niagara on August 26, 2020. Barnes’ DNA was found on a blue baseball cap and cigarette butt discovered in the vehicle.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Four men from Louisville are facing charges after a police chase on Interstate 65 in southern Indiana early Thursday morning.
In a release, Indiana State Police say about 1 a.m. a trooper clocked a 2015 Kia passenger vehicle going more than 100 miles per hour on I-65 northbound. Three troopers were at the scene, when the car was pulled over near the 67 mile marker in Bartholomew County.
ISP says after the trooper discovered what police say was criminal activity, the driver, Derek J. Fajardo, 27, put the vehicle in drive and sped north on I-65 hitting one of the troopers in the process causing minor injuries. Police say shots were fired from the suspect's vehicle and three firearms were thrown from the car during the pursuit of the vehicle on I-65. When the driver got to State Road 46 in Columbus, Fajardo did a u-turn and headed south in I-65. The chase continued into Jackson County where Jackson County deputies and Seymour Police officers helped deploy a tire deflation device. The vehicle came to a stop just south of Seymour. Indiana State Police say one of the guns thrown from the vehicle along with the vehicle were found to have been reported stolen out of Louisville. Marijuana was also found in the vehicle. Fajardo was arrested on charges of Possession of Stolen Vehicle, Resisting Law Enforcement, Battery, Reckless Driving, Possession of Stolen Firearm, Criminal Recklessness with a Firearm, Obstruction of Justice, and Possession of Marijuana. Three passengers in the car were also arrested. Jordan Griffith, 25, was faces charges of Possession of Stolen Firearm, Criminal Recklessness with a Firearm, Obstruction of Justice, Possession of Firearm by Serious Violent Felon, and Possession of Marijuana. Griffith was also wanted on a warrant out of Louisville. An Ocala man was arrested Tuesday night after he reportedly shoved two women, said he was going to kill himself, and drove his girlfriend’s SUV into an unoccupied residence down the street after she played a joke on him.
Dietrich Shyrone Bess, 34, of NW 4th Street, then reportedly jumped out of the vehicle and fled on foot, and he had to be tracked down by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office Air One helicopter. Once located by multiple deputies and ordered to the ground, he told them, “You’re going to have to kill me first,” and started walking away. He finally stopped after multiple commands and was placed under arrest, according to the sheriff’s office report.
Bess was charged with battery (second or subsequent offense), aggravated battery on a person 65 years of age or older and resisting an officer without violence. Bess has multiple prior arrests in Marion County for battery and drug-related offenses, according to jail records. The first victim, who is 74 years old, told the investigating deputy she is allowing Bess and his girlfriend to live with her. She said the incident started when Bess’ girlfriend told him a joke that an unknown fictional man woke him up out of his sleep. The victim said Bess believed the joke and became irate and wouldn’t listen to his girlfriend or either of the victims when they said it was only a joke. She said Bess started yelling and screaming at everyone and pushed her backwards twice while demanding her car keys. The victim said she did not have the keys when Bess pushed her the second time. She said she didn’t have any known injuries and did not hit the ground, the report said. The second victim said she was trying to calm Bess down when he pushed her out of the way. ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WEAR) — An Escambia County man is charged for leaving a child in the middle of the street.
Deputies responded to a child abuse call on Wednesday.
According to an arrest report, a witness told deputies they saw 55-year-old Henry Goodson III outside of his home drinking alcoholic beverages.
The witness then observed Goodson walk down the street, abandoning a child in the middle of the road, the report states.
The report says the witness took the child and contacted neighbors to find Goodson, but no one was able to find him. The deputy saw Goodson walking from a convenience store back to his home about 44 minutes after the child was abandoned, the report states. The deputy said Goodson smelled like alcohol and his speech was slurred, the report adds. According to the report, deputies contact DCF due to temperatures being in the 40s, the child not having proper clothing to stay warm and being left in the middle of the street in a high traffic area. CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) — A former Atlantic County teacher and child protective services worker admitted Thursday to producing child pornography images of a young boy who was in his care, according to federal prosecutors. Kayan Frazier, 28, of Somers Point, pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation of a child.
He now faces 15 to 30 years in prison when he’s sentenced June 8.
Frazier was a substitute teacher for the Atlantic City School District between 2015 and 2017 before taking a job with the state Department of Child Protection and Permanency. The exploitation of the child occurred between March 2017 and April 2019, prosecutors said. Authorities executed a search warrant at Frazier’s home in April 2019 after law enforcement officials learned that child porn images were being shared online by Frazier, prosecutors said. He was at the home that day with the boy, and authorities have not said how long Frazier had been caring for the child. Authorities recovered thousands of images of child sexual abuse on Frazier’s cellphone and other electronic media, including images of the boy that had been taken in Frazier’s apartment. |

2 Spanic Suspects Arrested After $4 Million In Drugs found 
DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (CBS) — Two suspects are behind bars, facing charges in a big drug bust in Bucks County. The suspects are 28-year-old Christian Ochoa of Texas and 28-year-old Edith Rodriguez Cardenas of California.
The two were pulled over in Bedminster Township on Jan. 29.
Police say they found more than $1 million worth of heroin or fentanyl as well as cocaine in the jeep the two suspects were driving. Police are also saying the investigation then led them to a tractor-trailer owned by Ochoa in Lehigh County, where they say they found even more drugs. “This is a huge drug bust. The total street value of the drugs seized in both seizures is approximately $4 million or more depending on the lab results of that cocaine, potentially fentanyl,” Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub said. Police say they also seized what appeared to be Percocet pills as well as more than $43,000 in cash and a handgun. |

A 29-year-old Chicago man was arrested Saturday after police say they identified him as the person who shot a 19-year-old man in the Humboldt Park neighborhood in October.
Leonard Johnson, of the 3300 block of West Beach Avenue, was arrested by homicide investigators about 7:50 a.m. in the 1400 block of North Spaulding Avenue, police said. Johnson, charged with first-degree murder, appeared in court Monday.
The shooting happened about 11:15 p.m. Oct. 12 in the 3300 block of West Beach Avenue, police said. A 19-year-old man had just gotten into a ride-sharing vehicle when, the driver later told police, “moments later he heard multiple gunshots.” The driver saw that his passenger had been shot in the head, police said, and fled after the gunshots. He stopped in the 3100 block of West North Avenue and called 911. The 19-year-old was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said. He was pronounced dead at 11:31 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. The man was later identified as Cody Lucas Rodolfo Davis, according to the medical examiner’s office. He died of multiple gunshot wounds. |

New details emerged Thursday in the grisly slaying of a Queen’s father — including that his son allegedly stomped on his head and choked him before stabbing him in the neck with a pair of scissors, officials said.
Jaimie Walker, 30, pleaded not guilty Thursday at his arraignment in Queens Supreme Court to charges of second-degree murder, possession of a weapon and criminal mischief. He’s accused of the brutal murder of Loandous Walker, 72, on Jan. 14 inside the family’s Queens Village home.
“This is a horrific crime,” DA Melinda Katz said in a statement. “The defendant repeatedly plunged the shears of a pair of scissors into his own father’s neck. The elderly man bled to death on the bathroom floor.” Police were summoned to the Hempstead Avenue residence at about 6:30 a.m. where, in addition to the gruesome murder scene, they found the defendant’s 70-year-old mother, her daughter-in-law and her other son unconscious on a mattress in the living room. Bottles containing an unknown substance were found nearby, and police suspect that the trio were poisoned. While at the 109th Police Precinct following his arrest, Walker allegedly smashed a table inside an interview room and used the detached leg to shatter a two-way glass mirror, officials said. Police arrest black man for Thomasville murder
UPDATE (2/3/2021 9:00 a.m.) — The Thomasville Police Chief says Jeremiah Wesley Irvin has been charged with murder and possession of marijuana.
Irvin is currently in the Clarke County jail waiting to see a judge. Case is still under investigation.

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — A woman used a broom to beat a child causing him to get 22 stitches after his virtual teacher called saying he cheated on an assignment, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.
Chenna Jordan, 40, is charged with aggravated child abuse.
When deputies arrived, the child told them he was scared and didn’t want to live there anymore. The child’s virtual teacher called around 10 a.m. Monday telling Jordan the boy cheated on an assignment. The child said Jordan was upset and told him to do 50 pushups as punishment. He said while he was doing pushups, Jordan picked up a broom and hit his lower back. When he finished, he stood up and she kept hitting him causing him to put his arms up to protect himself. He said she told him to put his hands down and that’s when she hit him with the broom on the right side of his face causing him to bleed. Jordan took the boy to the hospital where she told them he fell in the shower, the report states. He received 22 stitches for a cut to the side of his head. Deputies found a bent broom in the home with blood on it, blood on the floor and the door to the room where he does his school work. Deputies saw marks on the boy’s body, a bump on his head and a laceration. Jordan is in the Escambia County Jail on a $50,000 bond. |
(Black) Man charged with murder suspected in 2020 Pensacola shooting, gunshots leave victim disfigured
PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — A man, previously charged with murder, is suspected in a shooting on Fairfield Dr. where a victim was left disfigured after suffering from three gunshot wounds in August of 2020.
According to Pensacola Police, on August 30, 2020 the victim was shot on the second floor of Pensacola Village Apt. with gunshots to his arm, leg, and abdomen. He was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in critical condition.
24-year-old Deontrace Bonner is suspected to be the shooter as shell casings found on the scene matched the gun he used in the shooting. Additionally, the victim was targeted earlier that week which police confirm to be in connection to the shooting at Pensacola Village. Although Bonner was previously charged with murder, he was never convicted. HAINES CITY, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida high school teacher was arrested Tuesday and charged with having sex with a student on multiple occasions.
Wayne McKenzie Ricks II, 29, was arrested in Osceola County on 10 counts of sexual battery on a victim between the ages of 12 and 18. He is accused of having sex with the student since the fall, including on the campus of Haines City High School, where he worked.
According to police, Ricks, a special education teacher and junior varsity basketball coach, would have the student come to his classroom while he was alone and the two would have sex in a closet. A student and friend of the victim was reportedly present in the classroom at the time and told police the two did this on 10 occasions. Ricks and the victim allegedly spent time together off-campus as well, meeting since at least October, police said. The police department said detectives obtained video of what appeared to be Ricks and the student kissing inside the classroom. Another video reportedly showed the two together at Universal Studios in October. They were also seen at a youth basketball game in Sebring in early January. Police said Ricks had contact with the student via text and social media, and provided more than 20 handwritten notes detailing their relationship, signed by Ricks under an alias. Additionally, more than 80 phone calls were made between the two in less than a month’s span between December and January, police said. Ricks also allegedly gave the victim gifts such as shoes, clothes and exercise equipment. The investigation began after a family member of the victim learned of their relationship and reported it. Columbia police arrest (Black) man accused of statutory rape 
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Columbia police arrested a man early Thursday morning who is accused of a 2020 statutory rape.
Police department spokesman Jeff Pitts said in an email that 20-year-old John Pernell Stapleton III was arrested just after midnight in the 2000 block of Whispering Meadows Court.
Pitts included in the email a mother reported that her child ran away from a Cherokee Lane residence on Feb. 19, 2020. Investigators later learned Stapleton was suspected of sexual assault in the case, Pitts said. Court records say Stapleton was charged with a count of statutory rape or attempted statutory rape of a person younger than 14 on Sept. 3, 2020. A warrant for his arrest was filed on the same day. |

Atlantic City police talk down knife-wielding (black female) robber threatening to kill man 
Atlantic City police officers are being credited with talking down a knife-wielding woman recently released from prison who was threatening to kill a store clerk.
Officers Valmir Loga and Christopher Dodson were called to the 1400 block of Atlantic Avenue just after 7 p.m. Tuesday for a woman with a knife refusing to leave the store, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
Octavia Watson allegedly demanded money from the clerk and, when he refused. The Atlantic City woman was still inside the Ocean Body Oil with a knife in her hand when the officers got there, according to the report. She refused commands to drop the knife, and instead yelled that she was going to kill the clerk, Fair said. The officers pleaded with Watson for several minutes asking her to drop the knife, and were ultimately successful, Fair said. Watson, 28, was then taken into custody without further incident. She is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on charges of robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. Wilson was just released from prison in December, after serving three years in a similar case that included an armed robbery, her charges show. Angry, hungry (Black) maskless man denied food service, returns with gun to steal fried chicken and waffles 
A man who was denied service for not wearing a mask at a fried chicken restaurant allegedly returned with a gun and held up the kitchen before robbing them of fried chicken and waffles.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:37 p.m. at Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles in Pasadena, California, according to ABC News’ Los Angeles station KABC.
KABC said that, according to police and restaurant officials, the suspect initially walked into Roscoe’s to order food but was denied service by the staff because he was not wearing a mask. Employees informed him that he could return to get food once he was wearing one. The man then left the restaurant and did indeed return, but this time he showed up at the back of the establishment with a gun. Cops release surveillance footage of (Black masked) Manhattan subway slashing suspect
Cops released surveillance footage of the man who allegedly slashed a fellow straphanger with a box cutter on a Manhattan train this week.
The 61-year-old victim was standing near the doors on an L train around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday when a stranger suddenly kicked his bag, sparking a dispute between the two men, police said.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT (WFSB) – A Windsor man was arrested in connection to a sexual assault of a teen and is a suspect in five additional sexual assault cases.
Windsor Locks police said on Jan. 3 they received a complaint of sexual assault from a 17-year-old female.
During the investigation, police learned of three more incidents involving the same suspect who was identified as 25-year-old Akin Jamal Warner of Windsor. In additional to the three cases in Connecticut, police also learned that Warner has previously lived in Orange County, California and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office had two open sexual assault cases involving Warner. On Jan. 27, Windsor Locks police obtained an arrest warrant for Warner for the involvement of the sexual assault case on Jan. 3. On Jan. 28 around 1:30 a.m., police took Warner into custody at his come in Windsor. He was charged with sexual assault and was held on a $500,000 bond. Detectives obtained a second arrest warrant on Jan. 28, charging him with first-degree sexual assault, with a court et bond of $750,000. Windsor Locks police said the scope of Warner’s alleged sexual assaults involve both East and West Coast jurisdictions. Police believe there is the potential for additional victims. FARGO, N.D. (AP) — An attorney for the city of Fargo says a homeowner has the right to fly a flag that uses obscenity against President Joe Biden.
Displaying the flag is protected by the First Amendment, according to Assistant City Attorney Alissa Farol. The display also is not in violation of the city sign code, as its message is non-commercial and it doesn’t exceed the maximum allowable size.
The homeowner is flying an upside-down American flag on the same flagpole, and Farol says that is protected speech, too. The U.S. Flag Code states that the American flag is not to be flown upside down “except as a signal of dire distress in instance of extreme danger to life or property.” Farol weighed in after Fargo police received complaints about the flags flying over a home in south Fargo, KVRR-TV reported. RUSK COUNTY, Texas — The Rusk County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in connection with the murder of Clarence (Scott) Reneau.
Officials arrested Demarcus Lenard Lewis around 12:30 a.m. Thursday just outside of Kilgore. He has been charged with capital murder and was booked into the Rusk County Jail. His bond has been set at $1,500,000.
Reneau's body was found Tuesday night at Texas Best Music, located 1820 County Road 423 in Rusk County. According to law enforcement, Lewis was allegedly robbing or trying to rob Reneau, and he shot him several times in the upper torso. The arrest affidavit reads: "Forensic evidence resulted in developing three independent latent prints from two separate evidentiary items seized during the investigation. Prints resulted in an affirmative link to Demarcus Lenard Lewis." In other words, Lewis's prints were found during the investigation which police believe links him to the crime. PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A Georgia teenager is facing more charges in connection with the deaths of two men in Panama City Beach.
Bay County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Ruez Hicks, 19, Friday, for the homicides of Robert Keith Gilmore and Robert Shawn Fowler.
Last week, deputies responded to a call about an unresponsive person on the porch of a home on Delmar Drive. When investigators arrived, they say Gilmore was found dead with a gunshot wound and his back pocket ripped. Inside the home, deputies say they found Fowler, also dead with a gunshot wound. Deputies say Fowler owned the home and rented it out. They say Gilmore was related to Fowler and the men were remodeling the home. Investigators say the ripped pocket of Gilmore was where he carried his wallet, which they say was missing from the crime scene. As the investigation continued, deputies say they found video at a local business where a card of Gilmore’s had been used. When deputies spread the image of the young man using the card, another deputy recognized him from a recent call. Investigators went to the area of that previous call and arrested Hicks. They say when talking with Hicks, he admitted to the home on Delmar Drive to burglarize it and had a gun with him. He reportedly told them while he was there, the victims returned to the home and confronted him. They say he claims as he left the home, he turned and fired at both of the victims. Deputies also say Hicks told them when Gilmore went down, Hicks rolled him over and ripped his back pocket as he took the wallet. Deputies believe Fowler moved into the house after he was shot and died from his injuries inside. Investigators found the gun and the spent casing. They also say they found Gilmore’s wallet on Hicks when he was arrested. Deputies searched the area and said they found evidence that connected Hicks to several car burglaries. Hicks is charged with two counts of homicide and robbery with a firearm. Additional charges are pending. BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WCIA) — A woman was killed and another injured in a shooting that happened early Saturday morning in downtown. Police have a suspect in custody.
Michael Bakana, 45, of Normal, was arrested at the scene. Police say he faces preliminary charges of murder and aggravated discharge of a firearm.
The incident is believed to be isolated. Officers say the shooting happened after 12:45 am when Bakana and the two victims got into a dispute.
The victims were not identified. One died at the scene and the other was taken to the hospital. Bakana was taken to the McLean County Jail. Taylor-Theberge says her daughter just got engaged and called her a week ago to share the news and show her the ring. “This guy coerced her to go under the (inaudible) that they were going to be engaged and he wanted her to meet his family,” she explained. She says she was shocked to learn her daughter’s fiancé was 29-year-old Raymond Weber. “I almost fell out when I saw who it was because she had been involved with him in the past and it was a bad experience,” Taylor-Theberge said. MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) — A 25-year-old Oklahoma man was charged with murder Wednesday in the killings of his brother and five young children, police said.
Jarron Deajon Pridgeon of Muskogee was charged with six counts of first-degree murder, shooting with intent to kill and possession of firearms during probation, court records show.
Muskogee police said they don't yet know why Pridgeon fatally shot Javarion Lee, 24, or the children, the oldest of whom was 9. The children's mother, Brittany Anderson, was also wounded in the shootings early Tuesday and was hospitalized in Tulsa. Police identified the slain children as Jalaiya Pridgeon, 1; Jaidus Pridgeon, 3; Harmony Anderson, 5; Neveah Pridgeon, 6; and Que’dynce Anderson, 9. Court and jail records do not list an attorney who could speak on Pridgeon’s behalf. Pridgeon and the victims lived in the home where the shootings occurred, Muskogee police said. Neighbors told the Muskogee Phoenix that they had only recently moved to the home but that the children were often outside playing. Raven Anderson, who is an aunt to the children, told Tulsa TV station KOTV that Pridgeon was the father of three of the slain children. “They were great kids, they were smart, full of happiness, energy. They were, they just loved life,” she said. “Honestly it would just be great if everyone just continued to pray.” Court records show Pridgeon received a deferred sentence in 2019 after being charged with two felony counts for allegedly throwing two large pieces of cement at a woman, striking her in the torso. Charges have been upgraded against a Jefferson County man in the death of his 5-week-old son.
Quinton Artez Arnold, 27, of Hueytown, is now charged with capital murder in the death of Kamari Whitt. Arnold was taken back into custody Tuesday by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force.
He was arrested in Troy and is being held in the Montgomery County Detention Center pending extradition to Jefferson County. Arnold was initially charged with aggravated child abuse and booked into the Jefferson County Jail on Friday. He was released on $250,000 bond and then apparently fled to southern Alabama. At some point, the baby was taken to UAB Medical Center West and then transferred to Children’s of Alabama. It was then that doctors notified Bessemer police. ROSELLE, Ill. -- A 22-year-old woman allegedly poured boiling water on her boyfriend while he slept at their Roselle apartment, causing burns that required skin graft surgery.
After Alexis Sykes dumped the boiling water on him early Jan. 2, she went to SnapChat and described watching his skin fall off his arms, according to the DuPage County state's attorney's office.
Sykes allegedly posted a video with the caption: "I kinda feel bad now because he got 2&3rd degree Burns from face to waist & they rushin him to burn center but oh well (shrugging shoulder emoji) B**** (emoji blowing kiss) n still cried & beg me to drive him to hospital." Prosecutors didn't give a motive behind the scalding. Her boyfriend eventually found the keys and drove himself to a hospital, prosecutors said. He was transferred to the Loyola University Medical Center Burn Unit where he was hospitalized for about two weeks and underwent skin graft surgery to treat his burns. Police say 38-year-old Stacy Charles Glover, of Pembroke Pines, met his 21-year-old victim online and, after several communications, paid for the victim to fly from Nebraska to Florida to meet with his supposed clients. Investigators say once the victim was in Florida she was given "materials," instructions, and prices for performing sexual acts. Glover allegedly created a website where his clients could contact him. During these meetings, police say, the victim drove clients away by charging higher prices. She would then give her abuser her own money. |

ARLINGTON, Va. - Metro Transit Police say they’ve arrested a man in connection with an 85-year-old on an Orange Line train near Rosslyn last week.
Police say 22-year-old Antonio Lamont Rich, Jr. turned himself in Monday night.
They were looking for Rich on a felony malicious wounding charge. According to investigators, Rich was panhandling on the train, and the 85-year-old refused to give him money. Monday, Collier County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Golden Gate Estates man for accusations that he dismembered hamsters.
According to a CCSO Facebook post, Christian Lee Hunter, 21, is accused of severing the head of a hamster he purchased from a pet store and then discarding it in a blood-smeared box.
“Animal cruelty can never be justified,” Collier County Sheriff Kevin Rambosk said in the post. “We are hopeful that we have addressed this situation and can connect this individual with mental health services.” “They’re dead and in pieces, in a box. I think that’s a big problem,” neighbor Jason Exantus said. “It’s kinda disgusting and absurd.” The dead hamster was found by a resident in the area. She told deputies that she had found several other boxes over the last year containing “sadistically mutilated” small animals. Exantus lives right across the street from Hunter and was shocked to hear he was accused of the cruel treatment of animals. “Why would he even want to do that? Was he in his right mind?” Exantus said. “There is little kids here. Some of them could have found that.” Deputies were able to find Hunter as the suspect because the latest discovery included a receipt from a pet shop in Lee County. The receipt showed the purchase of the hamster on Jan. 4 for $14.99. Judge Matthew Johnson, however, disagreed, saying he would have reversed Noor's murder conviction and sent his case for sentencing on the lesser second-degree manslaughter charge. Noor's attorney immediately said he would ask the state Supreme Court to consider the case, although the court is not required to hear it. Noor, who is serving a 12 1/2-year prison sentence, challenged his third-degree murder conviction, a charge generally reserved for defendants in overdose deaths. He became the first on-duty Minneapolis police officer convicted of murder when the charge was applied to him for "perpetuating an act eminently dangerous to others and evincing a depraved mind." In the appeal, Noor's attorney Thomas Plunkett argued that the depraved mind element wasn't fulfilled because Noor was fulfilling his duties as an officer, acted in a split second and directed his actions at a specific person. SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Two men have been arrested in connection with an attempted robbery that left famed San Francisco private investigator Jack Palladino on life support, police said Sunday.

DETROIT, MI – Devin Delon McKee, 16-years-old and Lanyah Quan Brady, 15-years-old, both of Detroit, have been charged in connection with the homicide of Uber driver Timothy Marcus Perkins, 60-years-old, of Southfield.
On January 21st, 2021, at 9:20 a.m.. Detroit police officers were called to the West Edsel Ford Service Drive and Elmer Street. When they arrived, they observed Mr. Perkins in an alleyway at Elmer and Lawrence in distress, bleeding from his head and with multiple stab wounds on his back and torso area. Mr. Perkins was transported by the police to a local hospital where he succumbed to his wounds. His death was caused by multiple stab wounds.
The investigation by the Detroit Police Department led to recovery of the stolen car and to the identification of the two teen suspects. The teens were taken into custody on January 25, 2021. It is alleged that McKee and Brady called for an Uber driver for the purpose of robbing him. Once inside Mr. Perkins’s car McKee robbed and carjacked him by attacking him with a hammer and stabbing him with a knife. It is further alleged that Brady was also armed with a knife and stabbed Mr. Perkins. After the attack the couple stole his car, took his personal property, and fled from the scene. Grand Chute, WI – The Grand Chute police reported that Dezman V. Ellis, 17, is being sought in connection with a deadly shooting on Sunday around 3:30 p.m. at the Fox River Mall in Grand Chute that left one victim dead and another victim with a none-life-threatening injury, according to police. The murdered victim was identified as Jovanni Frausto, 19, the second shooting victim was not identified by police.
Police say that the two victims were shot in the main corridor of the mall on Sunday and that Ellis is being sought in connection with the mall shooting. According to the police report, On Sunday, January 31st, 2021, at around 3:30 pm, officers from the Grand Chute Police Department along with numerous other agencies responded to the Fox River Mall, 4301 W. Wisconsin Avenue, in the Town of Grand Chute for a report of shots being fired inside the main mall corridor. Officers arrived on scene and conducted a preliminary search for threats inside the Fox River Mall. Officers located two victims who had been shot. One victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was treated and released. The second victim, identified as 19-year-old Jovanni J. Frausto, died as a result of the injuries. A thorough search of the mall was conducted to locate and safely escort those who had sheltered in place. At this time, investigators are attempting to locate and speak with Dezman V. BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Baltimore Police have arrested a suspect in a rape last month.
Davon Ferguson, 39, was arrested at home in the 1600 block of Ellamont Street around 1:33 a.m. Sunday.
Ferguson was wanted for first-degree rape and first-degree attempted rape — both of which occurred on Jan. 26 in downtown Baltimore. According to police, he attempted to rape a victim inside a hotel room in the unit block of N. Light Street. He later raped another victim at knifepoint. 17 (blacks) Arrested In Escambia County Drug Raid 
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office arrested 17 people Thursday on drug charges after raiding a home near Montclair Elementary School.
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office Gun Crime Response Team, Robbery/Homicide Unit, Narcotics Unit and SWAT team along with the ATF, Florida Highway Patrol, and Pensacola Police Department served a search warrant at a home in the 4500 block of Florelle Way.
Inside the home law enforcement discovered 12.6 grams of oxycodone, 228.8 grams of ecstasy pills, one gram of heroin, almost half a kilo of cocaine, 3.3 pounds of marijuana, ten firearms (including four firearms that were reported stolen) $21,389 in cash, and seven vehicles were seized. Terry Vondell Brand, Billy Ray Carter, Darrell Anthony Diggs, Timothy Terrell Dortch, Tyshon Laprice Leontay Edwards, Kobie Lashun Jenkins, De’Aundre Da’Jun Jordan, Timothy Donail Knight, Gary Fernando Mathis, Nastassya Swayell Piper, Charles Edward Posey, Travaris Jamal Stallworth, Anthony Dion Thompson, Kareem Tijuan Watson, James Wells, Devontae Le’roy Williams and Trenton Levontese Wright were all arrested on drug related charges. “It’s unfortunate to see this amount of drugs and firearms together. We’re glad we can partner with other law enforcement agencies to get this type of criminal activity off of our streets,” said Chief Deputy and sheriff-elect Chip Simmons. |

The gunman in a fatal, broad-daylight Staten Island shooting said he fired at a white Mercedes to “spook” the occupants — and told cops later he regretted it because it turned out he grew up with the slain man and felt regretful when he learned who his acquaintance was, cops said. Godkhaliq Daugherty, 19, was busted Friday in connection to the Sept. 14 slaying of "Prince" Edmonds, 21, at Richmond Terrace and Lockman Avenue in Mariners Harbor, police said. Daugherty allegedly walked up to the car around 1 p.m. that day and fired several shots from the driver’s side of the car, where Edmonds was sitting with a 22-year-old man. 5 Years Later, HISPANIC Alleged Killer of MoVal Girl Still Awaits Trial 
Tuesday marks the fifth anniversary of the abduction- murder of Norma Lopez, a Moreno Valley high school student whose disappearance devastated a community and whose case went cold for more than a year before her alleged killer was identified and arrested.
"It's one of the most emotional cases I've handled," former Supervising Deputy District Attorney Mike Soccio told City News Service. "This is a young lady who one minute was walking home from school, and a minute later, it was all over. There was such a mystery as to who did it and why."
Soccio, who was assigned to the case until his retirement from the Riverside County District Attorney's Office in January, said he's continuing to lend a hand with trial preparation -- from a distance -- and will remain involved until the matter is resolved. "It's past time for a jury to hear this," the veteran prosecutor said. Less than a month later, then-36-year-old Jesse Perez Torres was arrested and charged with Norma's murder. |
