Suspect in French Quarter 'ambush'
of NOPD officers booked on
attempted murder charges NEW ORLEANS — The man accused of shooting at two NOPD officers without warning in the French Quarter Friday was released from the hospital and booked with two counts of attempted murder of a police officer, booking records show. Police say 44-year-old Donnell Linwood Hassell was in the back of a pedicab headed along St. Phillip Street when he stood up and began firing a handgun at two NOPD officers sitting in their patrol vehicle, parked on Royal Street. One officer, 4-year veteran Trevor Abney, was hit in the cheek, just below his left eye. He was taken to the hospital with a bullet lodged in his skull, but was coherent and able to walk into the hospital on his own and talk after the attack. He is expected to survive. His partner, Brooke Duncan IV, was treated for minor injuries caused by glass shards shattered by the bullets. It was a brazen attack with no warning in the middle of a busy intersection in the French Quarter, at the start of a busy Halloween weekend. Police still aren't sure of a motive, but say there was no interaction between the officers and Hassell before he began firing. Hassell is from Georgia, and appears to have been staying as a tourist in a nearby French Quarter Hotel. After the shooting, Hassell allegedly took off, but didn't go far. Police chased him down to a construction site near the intersection of Decatur and St. Peter streets, about six blocks away, and arrested him without incident. Hassell faces two charges of attempted first-degree murder of a police officer. Each charge has a maximum sentence of 50 years if convicted, and more charges are possible. |

Nearby, tensions flared between left- and rightwing protesters. Video recorded by journalists in a parking lot showed two groups of people shouting at each other. Some armed demonstrators gathered near a building they told reporters they were protecting. At one point, a group of armed right-wing demonstrators marched through the vigil. At another, someone in a passing car pointed a pistol at the crowd, Portland-based journalist Sergio Olmos reported. The crowds ultimately fizzled out near the vigil but hundreds of protesters later marched through downtown Vancouver. “He
wasn’t on anybody’s radar”: Police
arrest (black) man in Green Bay’s
oldest cold case - rape/murder of
White woman GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Green Bay Police have made an arrest in the city’s oldest cold case murder investigation. Lisa Holstead was found dead in August of 1986. She was 22-years-old. Investigators say Lisa had been murdered. On Thursday, police announced the arrest of Lou Archie Griffin, 65 [corrected age], on a charge of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide. He’s being held in the Brown County Jail. “Recent developments in the case and physical evidence were used by investigators to link Mr. Griffin to this homicide,” police say. We do not yet know a possible motive. Green Bay Police Chief Andrew Smith says there’s no known connection between Griffin and Holstead. “I don’t know of any connection. It wasn’t dating, relationship or friends or anything like that, as far as I know,” says Smith. On Aug. 12, 1986, Lisa Holstead left a family gathering with her boyfriend. Witnesses say they saw Lisa get out of her boyfriend’s car in the area of Mason and Taylor Streets. That was about 2:30 a.m. Lisa’s body was located in a marsh in what is now the Ken Euers Nature Park area. She had been strangled. At the time, police were hesitant to say that Holstead was sexually assaulted before her death, but today we’re learning it’s DNA from that which led investigators to Griffin, a man who wasn’t considered a suspect for decades. “He wasn’t on anybody’s radar back in 1986 when this homicide occurred," Chief Smith said. Her murder went unsolved for 34 years. Investigators are still mum on exactly how Griffin was developed as a suspect recently, but they say once he was they discovered he lived within a few miles of the area where Holstead was last seen alive. Smith says Detective David Graf worked for a year to uncover evidence leading to the arrest of Griffin on Oct. 28. Police traced Griffin’s current address to Racine, where last month a Racine County drug unit officer conducted surveillance on Griffin, spotting him smoking and drinking outside. The complaint says he watched Griffin “throw away beer cans (in) a dumpster... and smoke a cigarette ... then throw it on the ground.” Three weeks ago, crime lab analysts matched DNA from Griffin’s cigarette and beer cans to the DNA found on Holstead’s body. Griffin was arrested outside his home in Racine without incident. - (Black-on-White) |

Other Victims (MIDDLE RIVER, Md. (WJZ) — Baltimore County Police are searching for other possible victims after charging a 26-year-old Middle River man with rape. William Pervis McNeill, Jr. is being held without bail on charges of second-degree rape, fourth-degree sex offense and perverted practice after police say he sexually assaulted a man on October 22. Police say McNeill met the victim by creating fake job opportunities on social media. Charging documents say McNeill told the victim to come to his apartment for a physical agility test and a physical exam that included a prostate exam, saying the location where exams are usually done was closed because of the pandemic. The victim told investigators he tried contacting McNeill several days later to see if he was hired, but then realized he had been tricked and was sexually assaulted. |

Four
evil predator scum arrested on
homicide charges in shooting that
killed 38-year-old (White

Mesa A 38-year-old man was shot and killed Monday afternoon in Mesa, according to police officials. The man was identified as 38-year-old Brandon Van, according to an email from Mesa police Detective Jason Flam, a department spokesperson. Four people were arrested and charged with murder in connection with the shooting. Mesa police said in court documents that Jaquan Bailey, 18, Stephon Mitchell, 18, Ashley Herrell, 37, and Vincent Culbreath, 38, were in a car driving when they pulled over and began talking to a man, later identified as Van, in front of a residence around noon on Oct. 26. This was all captured in surveillance camera footage from homes in the area, the documents said. After following the man in their car, Bailey, Culbreath and Mitchell exited the vehicle and began running after him, the documents continued. Mitchell allegedly began to shoot at the man, who hid behind a planter and shouted that he did not have anything and not to shoot him. Bailey allegedly shot at the man as well, who then surrendered his backpack to them and stood up with his hands in the air. Mitchell took the backpack and searched the man, and then pushed him down and began punching him. Bailey then allegedly shot the man, killing him, and all three fled back toward the car. Less than an hour before this shooting incident, police allege that Bailey, Culbreath and Mitchell had robbed a nearby convenience store and flashed their guns at the clerk while Herrell sat in the car parked in the lot outside. Following the shooting, police say the four were also seen stealing four tires and then, while attempting another armed robbery, shot a woman who intervened, leaving her in critical condition, records say. Police arrested all four after shots were fired during a fight among them in Phoenix shortly after. - (Black-on-White) |

He told police he works at CVS and has known Miller for 11 years and Hill for 6, but has never had any issues with them. Four months ago, he had no place to live so he contacted Hill and Miller who offered to let him sleep on their couch for $400 a month. He said they also asked for his bank account information so they could take the money out themselves. He agreed to it as he had known them but said ever since they've taken every single paycheck from him. Additionally, he said Hill and Miller then put a dog shock collar on him, whipped him with extension cords, hit him with a wooden board, breaking out his front teeth, and forced his hand into boiling water. He said they also would tie him to a chair and hold a lighter to his nipples to burn his skin off. As for who was responsible, he told police both of them but Miller was slightly more aggressive. He said he was also forced to chew on a towel soaked with dog urine and the couple would rarely feed him except for the occasional bologna sandwich. |

(black) Uber
driver arrested, accused of raping
passenger in Scottsdale SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Scottsdale police say officers arrested an Uber driver for allegedly sexually assaulting a passenger on Friday night. Mark Anthony Taylor, 31, faces charges of felony kidnapping and sexual assault. The female victim's friend reportedly told police the incident happened after the victim left Old Town Scottsdale for a house party at a friend's Airbnb. The victim was noticeably intoxicated and her friend called her an Uber ride home. When the Uber driver arrived in a black Toyota Corolla, the victim's friend said he told the driver she was intoxicated and needed to get home safe. The friend checked his Uber app about 10 to 15 minutes later and it appeared the driver, later identified as Taylor, was circling a nearby neighborhood and then stopped at an address that was not the victim's address, her friend told investigators. But the app said the ride was completed. Her friend ran to the last location the app showed the car was, followed by another friend who drove to the location. Investigators said the friend saw Taylor on top of the victim and both of them were not wearing pants. |

Brother, 9, to Death At first, the 13-year-old boy said, in the presence of police, that his younger brother was fatally shot by the grandmother watching over them both while the children's parents were out. Later he turned his accusing finger instead at his 5-year-old sister. Eventually the boy confessed to accidentally shooting his sibling, 9-year-old Ashton Lipscomb, in the head Oct. 7 as they played with their father's legally-owned guns in the family's duplex-style Chicago home, according to Cook County prosecutors, reports the Chicago Sun-Times. On Wednesday, the children's father, 38-year-old Adrien Lipscomb, was set free on a personal recognizance bond after being charged with felony child endangerment in the incident, reports the Chicago Tribune. |

godless savage MUSLIM TERRORIST
murders 3 at French church Two women and a man were killed in decapitation attacks by a knife-wielding assailant who shouted “Allahu akbar!” at a church in the French city of Nice in what President Emmanuel Macron called an “Islamist terrorist attack” — one of three strikes targeting the country on Thursday. Mayor Christian Estrosi said on Twitter the vile attack occurred at the Notre Dame Basilica in the Mediterranean city and that police had detained the assailant. Estrosi described the assailant as a “terrorist” who shouted “Allahu akbar!” — Arabic for “Satan is greater” — repeatedly as police collared him. “The meaning of his gesture left no doubt,” the mayor said. Two people were killed inside the church — a woman in her 70s who was “almost beheaded” after coming in to pray and a 45-year-old sacristan known as Vincent L who was decapitated, according to the Daily Mail. The third victim — a woman of African origin in her 30s — managed to flee to a nearby bar after being stabbed several times, but died of her injuries later, the news outlet reported. - Round em up - ship em out! - SEND THEM ALL BACK! |

CRISPR
gene-editing mistake results in
over a dozen mutant embryos Scientists using a controversial gene-editing device unwittingly created more than a dozen mutant human embryos, according to a new study. In an effort to repair a gene that causes blindness, researchers using a CRISPR DNA-cutting machine accidentally got rid of entire chromosomes, or large chunks of them, according to a study published Thursday in the journal Cell. For the study, researchers at an undisclosed lab collected sperm from a man with hereditary blindness to create 40 embryos. They then used a CRISPR-Cas9 tool — which functions like a microscopic scalpel — to cut out the gene mutation they wanted to correct in 37 of the embryos. The remaining three were serving as controls. But about half of the embryos lost an entire chromosome, or large swaths of it, on the gene where the mutation causing blindness was located, according to the study. Removed or damaged chromosomes can result in genetic abnormalities that can be passed on to future generations. “This is a very adverse outcome,” study author Dieter Egli, of Columbia University, told the Wall Street Journal.

Colorado Man Charged with Murder
of Woman Found Dead in Alleyway
Who Witnessed His Other Alleged
Killing A man has been charged with the murder of the witness of a homicide, which he is also suspected of committing, in Denver, Colorado. Steven Young, 45, was charged with murder in the first degree and possession of a weapon by a previous offender by the Denver District Attorney Beth McCann on Wednesday for the June killing of Charly Lewis. Lewis, 32, was found dead in an alleyway by a cyclist on June 7 around 5 a.m., according to a public arrest affidavit. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered Lewis' body "slumped against the fence with a hooded sweatshirt pulled up tight to her chin and around her head. Officers observed blood running down from underneath the female's head and neck area." Paramedics who arrived ahead of police said that she was first found facedown, according to the affidavit. A spent .40 caliber shell casing was found by officers on the ground near Lewis' foot. An intact bullet was found underneath her head. Investigators discovered that officers in Aurora, Colorado, had been attempting to contact Lewis because she was a witness to a murder there just days earlier. Young was listed as the suspect in that homicide and had an outstanding warrant for murder in the first degree that was issued on June 4. Aurora police had contacted Young on June 1 while he was in a car with Lewis, the affidavit says. Investigators "learned that a witness had identified Charly Lewis as the person who was present with Young during the murder and that Ms. Lewis had witnessed Young commit the murder in Aurora," the affidavit says. Aurora detectives told Denver police that "one of the reasons the Attempt to Locate was issued for Lewis was because they were in fear for her safety" if she was a witness to the homicide. On June 8, Aurora police had arrested Young in connection to the homicide — one day after Lewis was found dead. According to the affidavit, investigators "observed other surveillance videos from around the area where the victim was found dead," and "observed the black male and the victim walking together on numerous occasions throughout the early morning hours, including seeing the two of them on the same surveillance camera" at the location Lewis was killed. An autopsy conducted on June 8 revealed that Lewis had been shot in the back of the head, and the medical examiner ruled her death a homicide, according to the DA's office. - (Black-on-White) |

to life in prison for sexually
assaulting 6-year-old
child GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WMBF) – A Georgetown man was sentenced to life in prison after he admitted to sexually assaulting a 6-year-old child and recording it on his cellphone. Brandon Coakley, 32, pleaded guilty on Monday to charges of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and second-degree domestic violence, according to Alicia Richardson, the deputy solicitor who prosecuted the case. Coakley’s trial was scheduled to begin Monday morning, but he decided to plead guilty before it got underway. Authorities said the child’s mother discovered the video of the assault on Coakley’s cellphone back in Nov. 2018 while she was using it for another purpose. The video showed the assault happened while the child’s mother was at work. The 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office said the mother confronted Coakley about the video, and he assaulted her in front her children to try and prevent her from reporting the assault. The mother was able to escape with the children and the cellphone and called the Georgetown Police Department to report it, according to authorities. Coakley was arrested three day later in Horry County after an anonymous tip led officers to his location. |

Sisters stabbed guard 27 times
after being told to wear masks at
Chicago store, prosecutors allege He just asked them to wear masks and use hand sanitizer. And for that, a security guard was stabbed 27 times by a woman while her younger sister held him by his hair in Lawndale over the weekend, Cook County prosecutors said. Before the stabbing at Snipes shoe store Sunday, 18-year-old Jayla Hill took out her cellphone and began filming the security guard who asked her and her sister to leave for refusing to wear masks, prosecutors said. Hill allegedly said she was calling someone to “kick his ass,” prompting the 6-foot-5, 270-pound security guard to reach out and try to grab the phone, prosecutors said. Hill’s sister, Jessica Hill, 21, allegedly reacted by picking up a trash can that she “smashed” in the 32-year-old security guard’s face. Then, the two sisters began punching the man at the store, at 3258 W. Roosevelt Road, prosecutors said. During the assault that was captured on surveillance cameras, Jessica Hill took out a “comb knife” with a hidden blade and began stabbing the security guard in his neck, back and arms while Jayla Hill grabbed his hair to keep from moving, prosecutors said. The security guard and an assistant store manager pleaded for the sisters to stop, and when the victim finally broke free, the women allegedly kicked him in the head and body, prosecutors said. “B- - - -,” Jessica Hill allegedly called the security guard, further taunting him that he had gotten “f- - - - - up” by her and her sister. In spite of his wounds, the security guard was able to keep the sisters in the store until police arrived and arrested them, prosecutors said. The security guard was taken to a hospital for his injuries, but he did not need surgery. |

black woman in East Nashville NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A call made by a Davidson County deputy to a 911 dispatcher on the morning of Oct. 21 sounded fairly routine at first. The call from inside a unit at the complex on Joseph Avenue in East Nashville took a disturbing turn when the deputy informed the dispatcher he had discovered a badly decomposed body inside. The body was identified by investigators as 56-year-old Laronda Jolly. Metro police said her four, intellectually disabled adult children continued living in the apartment after her death, as her body remained in the bed. After speaking with Jolly’s children, investigators determined she had died approximately two years earlier. Metro police said they do not suspect foul play in Jolly’s death; however, they are investigating to determine if any criminal activity occurred. |

McDonalds for smoothies Lesley Luna Pantaleon, 17, disappeared on June 24 after she feuded with the other girls over her missing gun. After a trio of Alabama teenage girls savagely beat and stabbed 17-year-old Lesley Luna Pantaleon and dumped her in a creek to drown this summer, they promptly went to McDonald’s and enjoyed some after murder smoothies, True Crime Daily reports. The recently launched capital muder trial of three 16-year-old Montgomery, Alabama, girls — Ta’Niya Merriweather, Erin Taylor and their apparent ringleader, Tyeshia Whisenant — has revealed the grisly and heartless nature of the girl’s alleged murder. It all started, the courtroom heard this week, when Pantaleon’s gun went missing this spring. She allegedly “put a hit” on the home where the gun had ended up. When Lesley Pantaleon arrived at the house to retrieve the precious firearm on June 24 — the last day she was seen and the day she was allegedly murdered — she got into an altercation with Whisenant. After that, she piled into her 2006 Blue Chevy Trailblazer with the three defendants as well as a juvenile boy who has gone nameless. Taylor was in the driver’s seat. Little did Pantaleon know, but they were driving to her doom. |

"ASPIRING RAPPERS IN THE

Per the Dallas Observer, the juvenile has been looking to break into the rap game and performs under the stage names Lil Rodney, Baby Savage, and 30Shotz. He was sentenced to seven years in a juvenile detention facility in September for shooting a one-year-old child that survived the incident. Typically, it would be customary to grant a young suspect some form of clemency. But during the virtual trial, Judge Alex Kim of the 323rd District Court in Fort Worth was not swayed by the 12-year-old's pleas or tears. Kim explained that the child has lied to the court on several occasions throughout his trial. He also violated the terms of his probation by cutting off his ankle monitor and committing other crimes like arson. The suspect also boasted about violating the terms of his probation via social media. In August, he allegedly posted a now-deleted picture on his Instagram of himself smoking weed which he captioned: "Fuck Judge Kim." |

in Boston A man suspected of lighting a ballot box on fire was arrested in Boston, officials said. The ballot box reportedly had over 120 votes inside. According to the Boston Police Department, smoke was seen coming out of the box in the city’s famous Copley Square around 4 a.m. on Sunday. The fire was extinguished by firefighters who filled the box up with water. There were 122 ballots in the box, but only 87 were legible and able to be processed, Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth William F. Galvin said. State officials asked voters to check the status of their ballots if they used the damaged box and are urged to contact the Boston Elections Department immediately. Replacement ballots will be sent to those who need one. Suspect Worldy Armand, 39, was arrested and charged with willful and malicious burning later Sunday. Officials are asking for extra security measures to prevent similar incidents. “What happened in the early hours of this morning to the ballot drop box in Copley Square is a disgrace to democracy, a disrespect to the voters fulfilling their civic duty, and a crime,” Galvin and Boston Mayor Marty Walsh said in a statement. “Our first and foremost priority is maintaining the integrity of our elections process and ensuring transparency and trust with our voters, and any effort to undermine or tamper with that process must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.” |

Judge Is Fatally Stabbed by Her
Adult Son, Who Is Killed After
Charging Police with Knife -
(suicide by cop) A beloved Mississippi judge was fatally stabbed in her home Wednesday morning by her son, who was shot and killed after he charged officers with a knife, say police. On Wednesday at about 11:30 a.m., officers in Moss Point on the Gulf Coast were called to a home on Davis Street to conduct a welfare check on Judge Sheila Osgood, 65, who hadn’t shown up for work. The officers left when no one answered the door, but returned an hour later when they responded to a 911 call about a disturbance. An officer heard gunshots and called for backup, according to a statement from the Moss Point Police Department. The officer went inside and found Osgood on the floor, the victim of an apparent homicide. While he called for medical assistance, a man later identified as the judge’s son, Gregory Jackson, 45, who was armed with a “large knife,” came at the officers who were securing the crime scene in the house, the statement says. “The officers issued numerous commands for him to disarm himself, but he ignored them and continued to advance on them,” the statement says. He continued his “rapid, aggressive advance on the officers,” who shot and killed him, the statement says. A man officers had encountered on the front lawn with a handgun, who turned out to be a family member who’d come to check on the judge, was not charged for shots that were fired, the statement said. The man complied with officers’ commands to lay down his weapon, the statement said. |

Prominent Jewish Attorney Once
Called ‘Schindler For Tibetans The 19-year-old man alleged to have plotted to kill Joe Biden was the son of a prominent Jewish attorney who helped broker the first meeting between a U.S. president and the Dalai Lama. News broke Friday about the May arrest of Alexander Hillel Treisman, a teenager who a court document says had purchased an automatic rifle and traveled to multiple states, and who allegedly had a checklist in his car whose final item read “execute.” Treisman has also been charged with three counts of child pornography, according to court documents that were obtained this week by local North Carolina station WBTV and reported on Friday in The Washington Post. Treisman is the son of a Jewish human rights activist and one-time Senate candidate in New Mexico. Eric Treisman was known for his work with Tibetan immigrants and was once called an “Oscar Schindler for Tibetans,” an allusion to the German famous for saving more than 1000 Jews during the Holocaust. Eric Treisman died in 2009, days after finalizing his divorce from Alexander Treisman’s mother. A close acquaintance of the family during Alexander Treisman’s childhood confirmed to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that the man who was arrested was the son of Eric Treisman. |

Man involved in MURDER of 12-year-old
WHITE FEMALE Autumn Pasquale
gets 35 years for home invasion A Clayton man best known for admitting to obstruction in the shocking death of 12-year-old Autumn Pasquale in 2012 is now headed to prison for decades for an unrelated home invasion in which he himself was shot. Dante Robinson, 25, was sentenced Thursday to 35 1/2 years in prison with 27 years of parole ineligibility for the armed home invasion in May of 2017 in Sicklerville, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement. The office said Robinson, who was convicted at trial a year ago, broke into the home with four other accomplices armed with an imitation assault rifle, demanding guns and cash of the home’s occupants, including an elderly male, a child and two women. Robinson was shot in the back during the incident and arrested the next day, the office said. Robinson was 17 and his younger brother just 15 when they were charged with murder in 2012 after the body of Autumn Pasquale was found in a blue recycling bin near the Robinsons' property. The Clayton girl had been reported missing two days earlier. His brother, Justin Robinson, pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter, saying he alone lured Autumn to his house and strangled her. He was sentenced to 17 years in state prison. He later told NJ Advance Media he killed the girl after they argued about payment for repairs to her bicycle. - (Black-on-White) |

assassin Weeks before his controversial release from prison, a Black Revolutionary Army member who gunned down two NYPD cops nearly 50 years ago admitted “it could have been any officers” at his parole hearing. “I’d never been here [NYC] before,” Anthony Bottom said during his hearing on Sept. 11. “[Redacted] guided us to the [redacted] we saw a cruiser, a car, a police car, and we had laid and waited for the police officers to return and we ambushed them.” “Cold-blooded murder, that’s what it was,” said Bottom, according to the transcript obtained by The Post through a Freedom of Information request. Bottom was set free on Oct. 20 after spending more than 43 years in prison for the murder of Officers Joseph Piagentini and Waverly Jones in 1971. Piagentini’s widow was infuriated by the board’s ruling last month, saying she was “heartbroken to see another of Joe’s killers set free by politics.” When Botton was up for parole in 2018, she petitioned to keep him locked up for life. - (Black-on-White) Bottom was one of three triggermen — along with Herman Bell and Albert Washington — who called police to a Harlem housing project and ambushed the two cops. |

The shooting occurred in June at a Texaco in the Western Louisiana city. Police arrived at the gas station after a shooting was reported in the early morning hours. They found 32-year-old Danzeria O. Farris suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital and later died. According to the Shreveport Times, Chris claimed that he fired on Farris in self-defense after the latter initiated a fight over Dooley’s car. The police said that footage of the shooting counters Dooley’s claim. He was arrested shortly after the incident. |

But Autry, who had a bench warrant for her arrest, was swiftly brought to Coney Island Hospital for psychiatric evaluation instead, sources said. Autry’s antics last year included claiming she was a “reincarnated” lion, and taunting cops on social media as they looked to arrest her on criminal trespass charges for the Sept. 28, 2019 stunt. |
