and robbery with a firearm.A Gainesville man is in jail Thursday after authorities say he killed a man and attempted to kill another during an armed robbery in the Tower Road neighborhood Sunday. Bryan Gerod Williams, 32, entered a home in the 1200 block of Southwest 75th Drive at about 1 a.m., according to a news release from the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office. Williams broke into the house unlawfully with a gun to commit a robbery, according to an arrest warrant obtained by the Sheriff’s Office. Deputies found Jonathan Morris, 25, dead inside the residence. Another man inside the house, Dallas Gianos, 22, had been shot by Williams and was taken to UF Health Shands Hospital with critical injuries, according to the Sheriff's office. - (Black-on-white) |

RAPIDS, Iowa- Cedar Rapids have identified a second suspect in the
murder of a man in November 2017. Police say 42-year-old Lloyd
Koger junior has been charged with First Degree Murder in the
death of 34-year-old Leland Harris.
Koger is also charged with Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon,
Conspiracy to Commit a Forcible Felony, Felon in Possession of a
Firearm, Accessory After the Fact, and Driving While Barred. Koger
is currently in custody on unrelated, federal charges.Nineteen-year-old James Phillips of Cedar Rapids was charged with murder in April of this year, as well as theft and conspiracy to commit a Forcible Felony, and Going Armed with Intent. On November 22, 2017 at 7:24 a.m., police officers were dispatched to the alley in the 500 block of 10th Street SW where Harris was found. Harris had sustained fatal traumatic injuries. Cammarata made a cryptic, possibly incriminating
statement after his April arrest, it was revealed in court Friday —
tearfully telling a cop: “That’s why it’s cheaper to keep her.”
Michael Cammarata was in an interrogation room when Officer
Genea Parker asked him if he wanted something to eat, according to
testimony in Staten Island Supreme Court. “That’s when he teared
up, and I walked out to get him a tissue,” Parker testified. “When I
handed it to him, he said, ‘That’s why they say it’s cheaper to keep
her.’ ” The phrase — more common to divorce court than criminal
court — is among the statements Michael Cammarata is trying
to get suppressed should he go on trial for his wife’s murder.

detectives have nabbed a 19-year-old illegal immigrant who
they say is responsible for a recent car theft that caused the death
of a disabled dog.Jephthe Jean Francois, of Sunrise, Fla., was arrested Wednesday on charges including causing suffering and death to an animal, according to reports. “He stole the vehicle, he discarded the vehicle, leaving this dog stranded to its own devices locked in the car,” prosecutor Eric Linder said in court Thursday, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. "When the car was later found, the dog was found unfortunately deceased, and what I can only imagine greatly suffered.” Online records show Francois was placed on an immigration hold after his arrest. Francois is accused of stealing a Volvo on Oct. 3 that was parked in a handicapped space at a Dollar Tree in Oakland Park, deputies said. The owner, Wanda Ferrari, had left the car running with the air-conditioning on and Zorra, a Husky mix who requires a special wheelchair to walk, napping in the back seat. When she returned after 10 minutes, the car was gone and so was Zorra. The car was found four days later in Sunrise. Zorra was in the back seat dead. When cops found Francois on Wednesday, they said he was sitting in the passenger seat of a stolen car police stopped while en route to a call of a burglary in progress, deputies said. |

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A 58-year-old man is facing several charges
after police say he assaulted a woman and poured insecticide down
her throat.Officers responded to a burglary and criminal assault Wednesday, in the 1100 block of Wrenwood Street. The victim told police her next-door neighbor, Norman Hudson, forced her inside her house and assaulted her. She said she came home, after dropping her children off at school, to retrieve her phone when she noticed Hudson on the side of her house. He told her that he was looking for something. She said once she turned around to unlock the door, Hudson stuck something in her side and forced his way into her home. According to an affidavit, he grabbed a knife from the kitchen, forced her clothes off and criminally assaulted her. The victim said he hit her in the head and face and stabbed her in the neck. He then poured Hot Shot Ant & Roach spray and Hot Shot Roach Killing Powder down her throat. The victim said he also forced her to give him her bank card pin number that he later used to retrieve unauthorized funds from her account. Hudson is charged with aggravated rape, robbery, burglary, kidnapping, criminal attempted felony and illegal possession of a debit/credit card. |

man forced a teenager to have sex while pointing what she believed

The victim told police the suspect, without warning, punched her in the face and then kicked her in the face when she fell down. Greenville Police say they were called to the area of Cotanche Street and Reade Circle early Saturday morning for the report of a stabbing. The victim, 23-year-old Mason Luke Monk, was taken to Vidant Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries and has since been released. The suspect was captured on downtown security cameras walking along Cotanche Street, police say. Tennessee police officer was arrested and relieved of duty after he
allegedly assaulted a woman — over a hot dog.Ralph Confer, of the Memphis Police Department, was on duty at Regional One Health medical center on Sept. 20, a day during which employees were holding a cookout in a police holding area. A medical technician who was also on duty asked if she could have a hot dog from the barbecue and one employee there told her she could. Confer, however, told the woman she could not have a hot dog, WREG reported. She left, but came back later and asked a second person if she could have a hot dog, and was told "yes" by that employee. But when Confer saw the woman fixing herself a plate, the police officer allegedly walked up to her and slapped the hot dog bun out of her hand, telling the woman she couldn't have any food and had to leave through a back door. The woman said she couldn't leave through the back door and had to leave through the front, according to WHBQ, but Confer allegedly wouldn't let her. As he tried to "corral her out the back door," the police officer is accused of picking the woman up, causing her to hit her head on cabinets. Confer then reportedly threw the woman to the ground, placed a knee on her back and handcuffed her. He then put the medical technician in a holding cell without explanation, according to the woman. A nurse at the medical center contacted Confer's supervisor and the woman was released from the cell a short time later. She reportedly suffered a hematoma to the top of her head, bruising on both biceps, bruising on her shin and soreness to her hip and lower back. Confer was arrested on Tuesday and charged with assault. The Memphis Police Department told Fox News on Thursday that Confer was relieved of duty and is "on non-enforcement status pending the outcome of the investigation." |

toddler.Quindra Francher Pearson Flournoy, 32, of Dalzell, was arrested Wednesday by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. A warrant for Flournoy’s arrest claims she “caused significant internal injury” to her 3-year-old daughter’s private parts. That happened Sept. 25, according to the warrant. The child needed surgery, deputies said. Flournoy had that child and another in her custody taken away following her arrest. She faces charges of criminal sexual conduct with a minor and unlawful neglect of a child. A judge denied her bond. |

An undocumented immigrant targeted a woman he previously raped once
he was released from custody in Oklahoma after authorities
failed to honor an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)
detainer request, immigration officials said.Antonio Ulises Perez, 38, a native of El Salvador, was arrested on Sept. 30 for alleged first-degree rape by the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office, ICE said in a statement. Officials said the agency asked the sheriff's department on Tuesday to transfer custody of Perez to deportation officers in the event he was scheduled to be released. They refused and Perez was released Wednesday morning, according to ICE. “Within a few hours of being released, this illegal alien was back at the home of the rape victim where he was free to re-victimize her and harm other members of the community,” said Marc Moore, director of ICE’s Dallas field office. Deportation officers were able to track Perez down and arrested him later that day, Moore said. He remains in custody pending deportation proceedings. "Unfortunately, this is not an isolated event," the ICE statement read. "Over the past few months ago, Oklahoma County has routinely failed to honor ICE detainers by releasing criminal aliens back into the local community before ICE has the opportunity to take custody." |

A city correction officer was busted for pulling out a gun and
threatening to shoot his co-worker during a squabble over his wife
in a Bronx apartment building, police said Thursday.Victor Tejada-Reyes, 28, caught another Department of Correction officer with his wife — who is also with the DOC — while the pair were leaving the cheating co-worker’s building on Rochambeau Avenue in Norwood at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, cops and sources said. Tejada-Reyes then confronted the 30-year-old man, pulling out a gun and asking him, “Do you want me to shoot you?” His co-worker reported the clash to police, who arrested Tejada-Reyes at his apartment late Wednesday and charged him with menacing, officials said. LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — A man accused of killing two people in
Houston has been arrested in a Louisiana casino. Louisiana State
Police say Harris County homicide detectives got in touch with state
police in Lake Charles on Wednesday, and troopers found 46-year-old
Reymundo Luis Valdez in a casino the same day.The Harris County Sheriff's Office says Valdez is accused of shooting 54-year-old Ernesto Hull and 46-year-old Colette Depaz in their home on Sept. 6. A news release says their bodies were found through a welfare check about 9:30 p.m. that day. Sheriff's Office spokesman Thomas Gilliland said in an email Thursday that investigators believe the motive was robbery of cash and illegal drugs. |

attacked and sexually assaulted a woman while he was drunk.According to court documents, Jamal Perryman, 22, told police that in addition to drinking, he also had taken an OxyContin pill when he was out with his family the night of Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019. Investigators believe Perryman flashed, chased, and attacked a woman as she walked home from a QT near 25th Avenue and Camelback Road early the morning of Sunday, Sept. 29. The victim told police her phone was dead, so she decided to walk to her friend’s home nearby. Investigators said she was walking north from Camelback Road on the Black Canyon Highway Frontage Road when she saw a man wearing a Lakers jersey standing just north of Glendale Avenue. She said she started running when the man dropped his pants and exposed himself to her. “As she was running, she turned back around and saw that he was running after her,” reads the probable cause for arrest statement. According to court documents, that man, later identified as Perryman, caught up with the woman, punched her in the face, and tried to sexually assault her. Police say she fought back and “screamed for help.” |

Pa. (CBS) — Police say a group plotted to set up and rob a young man
of expensive hair extensions, but they didn’t count on the man being
licensed to carry. Police now need your help to find the dangerous
people involved.On Wednesday, Sept. 18, just before 11:30 p.m., Yeadon police found the body of Omar Thompson lying in the driveway at 2500 Alfred Drive. He had been shot in the head. Minutes later, the case took a turn. Police later discovered that the 23-year-old man who turned himself in was actually the victim of a setup and was merely protecting himself at the scene. The 23-year-old was selling expensive hair extensions and police say he was lured by two women via text messages before the attempted robbery. “Omar literally jumps in the front window of the driver’s side window, which was down, and is on top of the victim forcing a handgun into his stomach and demanding all of the property that the victim had brought with him,” Paparo said. In a panic, the victim pulled his own weapon. “He lawfully is in possession of a firearm. He pulls his own firearm and fires three rounds, the first of which hits Mr. Thompson in the head and kills him,” Paparo said. Yeadon police are now looking for Jhimeia Mimi Harrell and another woman who goes by the nickname Bernie, as well as Tyrone Madison. Police say Madison initially pretended to be interested in the case, even talking to officers at the scene. All the while, police believe he was involved as well. “The DA’s Office has reviewed the case in reference to the victim and has determined this is a justifiable homicide,” Paparo said. Police say the 23-year-old victim is still shaken by the deadly shooting. “He’s a good kid who went through a very traumatic experience and is probably going to be affecting him for a long period of time,” Paparo said. Police are protecting the victim’s identity. The suspects are thought to be armed and dangerous. |

his pregnant girlfriend with a knife in hopes of killing the fetus.
An arrest affidavit says Joseph Bernard J. Combs was
arrested Friday on charges that include attempted murder, sexual
battery aggravated assault and kidnapping. He remains jailed on a
$3.5 million bond. The Gainesville Sun reports the woman had been
dating Combs for about a year. She is 19 weeks pregnant.An arrest report says Combs told her, "I can't let you have my son," before dragging her into the living room where he punched and kicked her in the abdomen. He threatened to slit her throat and raped her. Police say the woman suffered extensive bruising in the attack on Friday. |

Zataymon Skinner, 30, of Lufkin, was identified as the man
the woman said sexually assaulted her and stole the vehicle she was
driving, LPD spokeswoman Jessica Pebsworth said. At 1:30 a.m.,
officers responded to the 400 block of Robin Street where the woman
had run to for safety. The woman only knew the man as “Mon.” The
woman had left her job at an unnamed fast food restaurant about
12:30 a.m. when she was the man was standing by her vehicle. He
threatened to kill her if she did not get in the vehicle with him,
Pebsworth said. “Skinner then took her to the Lufkin Land area, and
ordered her into the back seat after stopping at a dead end in the
2100 block of Wood Avenue,” Pebsworth said. “She attempted to
escape, but he overpowered her. That is when he forced her out of
the car, raped her and then placed her inside the trunk.”
While Skinner was driving, the woman was able to open the trunk and
escape, Pebsworth said. Skinner chased her for a short while then
drove off, she said. |

Angeles detectives on Monday released the photo of a recently
arrested rape suspect in hopes that any additional victims will come
forward.Dayvid Sherman, 48, is accused of giving two intoxicated women rides home from a West Hollywood nightclub then raping them in two separate incidents over the past year, Los Angeles police said in a news release. LAPD Officer Mike Lopez said Sherman would pose as a sort of private chauffeur, targeting intoxicated people coming out of the nightlife spot. Lopez declined to name the establishment involved but said it was along the Sunset Strip. The first incident occurred in October last year. The victim had been drinking in the nightclub, then left alone and intoxicated, investigators said. Sherman allegedly approached her and offered to drive her home in his SUV at a fare lower than ride-hailing apps were offering. The woman agreed, and due to her level of intoxication she lost consciousness on the route home, LAPD said. When she came to, Sherman was sexually assaulting her in the back seat of his vehicle, according to police. The second rape occurred last month after a woman was picked up from the same nightclub, which police did not immediately name. The victim was drinking there with friends, but also left alone and intoxicated, officials said. She had some lapses of awareness but recalled being in Sherman's SUV. She similarly lost consciousness in the car and awoke to find him sexually assaulting her, police said. |

were arrested after they walked into a Costa Mesa restaurant, at

the establishment Saturday afternoon, the Costa Mesa Police
Department said in a news release.Passion Shenay Coleman, 27, walked in at about 1:30 p.m. and smashed a television, table settings and plates with a bat, causing thousands in damages at the restaurant in the 3300 block of Bristol Street in the South Coast Plaza area, police said. Restaurant staff recognized her as a former employee. The woman's family told News4Jax it happened early in the morning on June 5 at the 92-year-old's home in the University Park neighborhood of Arlington and that, since then, the man has trespassed and destroyed property twice -- on Aug. 19 and on Sunday. During the last two incidents, the home was not broken into like it was in June, said the woman's son, whom News4Jax has chosen not to name out of concern for the family's safety. "They estimated he was in the house for four hours or more late at night, walking around, woke her up. She screamed. He slapped her. He told her to shut up. She did. Had her get back in bed and stay there while he searched the house," the woman's son said. "He kept a bright light in her face. She can’t hear. She kept saying, 'I can’t hear you. I can’t hear you.' So he actually let her get up and put her hearing aids in, so he could tell her he wants money. She said, 'Well, I don’t have money. We don’t keep money in the house.' in Whitehaven who refused to have sex with him.Eric Brooks, 45, faces several serious charges, including sexual battery, aggravated statutory rape, indecent exposure and solicitation of a minor. A police affidavit says a woman told officers that she and her 14-year-old daughter had been staying at a friend's house in Whitehaven. On Friday, she told officers her daughter left to walk the dog in the area of Bradwood Avenue. She told police, that’s when Brooks approached the girl and offered her $50 in exchange for sex. She says when her daughter refused, Brooks grabbed the girl and forced her to the side of a house, where he pulled down her pants, exposing her private parts. The woman told police Brooks also pulled down his pants and exposed his private parts. The woman says her daughter was able to get away before being victimized any further. Police say they located Brooks a mile away and arrested him. Officers said Brooks identified himself and immediately said, "Y'all want me because of what happened..." Brooks is listed on the Tennessee Sexual Offender Registry and classified as a violent sex offender. The registry shows he was convicted of rape in 1993. |

Then at about 7 a.m. on Oct. 1, a 14-year-old was approached on East 36th Street and Cedar Avenue. Police said the man grabbed her face and tried to pull her away by her wrist. "I had turned around and somebody had snatched me by my neck and I was screaming for help. He had put his hand around my neck and covered my mouth up with his hand and stuff and kept telling me if I screamed anymore, that something bad was gonna happen," she said. The girl says she tried to get away, but the man tried to drag her into some nearby woods. "I had like stomped on his foot and I had ran away, but when I tried to run away, he grabbed me again and started scratching my face, so then I had bit his finger and ran away," said the teenager. The girl's mother is relieved her daughter was able to fight off the attacker. |

according to officials.The Prince George's County Police Department said in a news release the altercation between 41-year-old Tarreak Butler of Washington, D.C., and 24-year-old Damian Howard happened around 1:50 a.m. Sunday in College Park, Md. Patrol officers responded to the towing company on College Avenue, where they found the men "in a physical struggle," police said on Twitter. Officers reported witnessing Howard "holding the victim in a chokehold and that the victim was unconscious." Officers then ordered Howard to release Butler and separated the pair before three officers then began to perform CPR on the 41-year-old. Djuantay Jacocks, 19, Jason Poole, 18, Mardavis Thomas, 17 and Jaylon Causey, 17, were indicted by a grand jury on first-degree murder charges in a carjacking in the Nutbush area where a woman was shot and killed. Witnesses say they heard multiple shots fire during the incident on Nov. 19, 2018 that caused 49-year-old Belinda Humphreys’ death. She and her husband were not even a block from their home when the shots were fired. District Attorney General Amy Weirich says, just before Humphrey’s death the group carjacked a man and stole his wallet at gunpoint. Weirich says the group also fired shots at a couple’s dog after they were robbed at gunpoint the same evening of the deadly shooting. the suspect contacted her and told her he had marijuana, according

stabbing death of a Nassau County high school student earlier this

his wife and now Gary Davis Headd has been
convicted of beating his children.Headd has lost custody of his children and is awaiting sentencing on domestic violence charges. On Friday he was convicted on two felony counts of child abuse. Judge Paul John Cusick: “We find the defendant guilty of child abuse in the second degree.” Gary Davis Headd was led away to jail, five months after his children told FOX 2 that he beat them -- and that his mother, Wayne County Family Court Judge Tracy Green, helped cover up the abuse. Older boy: “My dad would tell her about a bruise I had or something, and she would put make-up on it because we had to go to school and stuff, and she didn't want people to see.” |
