and did not report it to police. ST. LOUIS — A 17-year-old and his mother are facing charges after police said the 17-year-old shot and killed a mechanic in an argument over repair costs. Isaiah Gholson, 17, was charged with murder and four other charges while Ranada Anthony, 39, was charged with failure to report a shooting and two other charges in connection with the Tuesday shooting death of Kerry Charley. Police said Charley worked on cars out of his home on Prairie Avenue in north St. Louis. On Tuesday, Gholson and Anthony came to the home to get Gholson's BMW after getting some repairs done. Police said an argument about the price of the repairs broke out. Gholson and Anthony tried to take the car without paying, but Ghoulson eventually shot and killed Charley, according to charging documents. Police said Gholson also shot Charley's girlfriend in the back as she ran away from the home. She survived the shooting, and police said she picked Gholson and Anthony out of photo lineups. Neither person reported the shooting to police. Officers said both have denied even being at the home, but Charley's records show he was working on the BMW registered to Anthony. Gholson was charged with first-degree murder, first-degree assault, failure to report a shooting and two counts of armed criminal action. He was not given bond. - (Black-on-white) |

— A mother and daughter were shot to death in Deltona by the
mother’s boyfriend who then apparently shot himself dead in
an apparent murder-suicide discovered by deputies on Tuesday night,
the Sheriff’s Office said.Deputies found the bodies of Nancy Russo Eads, 56, her daughter Lisa Ferraro, 32, and Richard Murray, 58, when they entered a house at 610 Nardello Drive about 9:33 p.m., according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office. Murray left a note apologizing to his two adult sons for what he did, Sheriff Mike Chitwood said. The mother and daughter were believed to be talking about the legal process of evicting Murray when he got a gun and shot the women, Chitwood said. Chitwood described Murray as the mother’s longtime boyfriend. The scene was discovered after the daughter’s husband grew concerned because he had been unable to contact his wife for more than four hours, the sheriff said. Deputies arrived and found the door to the home unlocked and the bodies inside. He said they had not had any domestic violence calls to the house in the past 12 years. He said he believed that the Sheriff’s Office did have four calls to the house in 2011, but they were not related to domestic violence. - (Black-on-white) |

Ohio — A 26-year-old man arrested at the scene of a quadruple murder
in Cleveland’s Slavic Village is being held in the county jail on
aggravated murder charges and a warrant related to the 2013 beating
of his child’s mother, who was killed
in the slaying, according to court and jail records. Armond
Johnson Sr. has not been formally charged in the Tuesday
killings, but he was booked in the Cuyahoga County Jail on
aggravated murder charges, according to jail records. Johnson’s
ex-girlfriend, Takeyra Collins, was
shot to death in her home on East 63rd Street near Fleet
Avenue. Collins was shot in the stomach and back, police said. A
Cleveland Municipal Court judge granted a protection order barring
Johnson from being near Collins in the 2013 domestic violence case.
Johnson’s son Armond Johnson Jr., 6, and
the boy’s sister Aubree Stone, 2, died of smoke inhalation in
the home, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner determined.A 35-year-old neighbor, David Cousin, was shot in the head and chest, police said. |

Deputies said in a statement that Nelson was only wearing a t-shirt when his car was stopped. Deputies found a girl nearby and she said she was thrown from the vehicle. She suffered injuries to her hands, arms and legs. Nelson faces criminal sexual conduct, assault, sexual exploitation of a minor and several other charges. |

killer, Dale Williams. One of the family sons was hit with
a Taser.  Both
were arrested.Williams pleaded guilty in the 2017 shooting death of Pledger of Boardman. Williams killed his victim by gunning her down on Market Street in Youngstown. Investigators say he confessed that he waited over 45 minutes for her to drive by him on her way to work so he could run her off the road and shoot her. |

correction officer accused of raping a teenage acquaintance,
authorities said Wednesday.Officials made the decision not to prosecute the case against 27-year-old Christopher Sierra after determining there was insufficient evidence to prove he “committed the crime charged beyond a reasonable doubt,” said spokeswoman Patrice O’Shaughnessy. Sierra was arrested around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday for allegedly attacking the 19-year-old woman inside a Bronx apartment around 2:30 a.m. Monday, police said. The woman told cops Sierra raped and sexually assaulted her despite her repeatedly telling him “No” and trying to push him away, according to authorities. Police charged Sierra with rape and a criminal sex act, cops said. |

near Fort Lauderdale.olice say one man is dead after a robbery at a Valero gas station late Wednesday afternoon. The Broward Sheriff’s Office says a man robbed the gas station, located in the 2400 block of West Sunrise Boulevard. As the suspect fled, the store clerk ran after him and began shooting. The pistol-whipped clerk took matters into his own hands. Surveillance cameras from inside the store show the suspect hitting the clerk on the head with the gun and then he is told to put the money in a bag. Blood is seen running down his face, but apparently, the clerk is not moving fast enough for the suspect. That’s when a set of hands reaches over the counter and begins grabbing money from the cash register and under the drawer. Then the clerk is forced to the floor and the crooks take off running. The clerk didn’t stay on the ground long. He ran after them with a gun. The clerk fired into the crooks get-a-way car. One of them was dumped at a fire station in Hollywood with a gunshot wound. He did not survive. The other got away. The gas station clerk is not facing any charges at this time. The investigation continues. |

He also says authorities seized about 70,000 individual doses of drugs along with four kilograms of suspected fentanyl and heroin in their takedown of the mill that was based in an Irvington apartment. Gurbir said the mill distributed its narcotics in wax folds stamped with the same brand names that have been linked to 93 overdoses and dozens of deaths. Three of the alleged ring members face charges of maintaining a narcotics production facility and possessing heroin with intent to distribute, along with several other drug and weapons charges. |

Ohio (WNWO) -- One person is dead and another is on the run after a
weekend shooting.Two other suspects were arrested in connection to the murder. Toledo Police say that 24-year-old Tyler Carr was shot and killed at his home in the 1300 block of Ironwood Avenue just after 3:30 a.m. on Saturday. 28-year-old Dominique Roberts and 23-year-old Darion Martin were both arrested and charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated murder. Carr had at least one gunshot wound and was transported to the hospital where he later died. Police are still investigating but say the suspects knew the victim. "The suspects, it appears, had been at the victims house on prior occasions its unclear exactly why the shooting took place and why the suspect went there, what exactly transpired we're still piecing all that together," said Lt. murder charge in connection with an alleged hate-motivated shooting
and robbery in DeKalb County. Joshua Cortez Ellis, 21, of
College Park, was charged by DeKalb police in the June 4 homicide of

Sgt. J.D. Spencer told AJC.com. The gunman used an
anti-gay slur as he ordered Peters to turn over his
bag, according to a DeKalb police incident report.Police have also obtained a murder warrant for Shaleeya Moore, who is still wanted in connection with this shooting, Spencer said. Another man, who is a person of interest, has not been identified. Witnesses said as Peters walked down the roadway, two men got out of a truck and put on masks. — Baltimore City police are asking for the public's help to identify
a person of interest in connection with a sexual assault of a
79-year-old woman in Canton. City police said officers were called
around 9:17 a.m. Monday to a health care facility to investigate a
reported sexual assault. Police said the woman suffered a broken leg
and other injuries.The victim told investigators that she was walking in the area of Clinton and Elliott streets when a man approached her and asked for help. The victim was lured into a house in the 3200 block of Elliott Street, where she was physically and sexually assaulted, police said. The person of interest is described as a black man with a slim build who is 30 to 35 years old. He was last seen wearing a black top and a black hat. |

The fresh charges against accused members of the Super Rich Kids/Street Rich Kartel and Newkirk gangs relate to the slaying of an innocent 15-year-old boy named Rohan Levy in Flatbush in 2017 and a number of other attacks on rival crew members in Brooklyn. Those charged include Zidon Clarke, 20, who was previously busted for killing Levy, and Walter Porter, 41, and his sons Khaysean, 21, and Keemari, 19, who allegedly were found driving a car with pistols used in that shooting and several others. In one clip released by prosecutors Tuesday, Travis Laroc, now 17, is allegedly seen grinning as he loads a magazine with bullets on a subway train in December 2016, prosecutors said. cocaine that killed three people

day in 2017 has been sentenced to 13 years in state prison, Union
County prosecutors announced Tuesday.George Rayford, 39 and of Rahway, pleaded guilty in January to three counts of strict liability for a drug-induced death, a first-degree crime. He must serve at least 85 percent of his sentence before the possibility of parole under New Jersey’s No Early Release Act. Authorities say Rayford distributed the deadly quantities of drugs from his home on Dec. 22, 2017. They say two women and a man died that day after overdosing, while an unknown number of others also overdosed on the drugs that night, but survived, with several being revived by the overdose-reversing drug naloxone, according to prosecutors. |

may have sparked a shooting. Philadelphia police say two men were
playing basketball at the Dorothy Emanuel Recreation Center at 8500
Pickering Avenue when shots were fired around 6:35 p.m. Monday.
After the game, one of the men walked onto the court carrying a
camouflage backpack covered with a white towel. Police say the
second man ran away after he saw the man had a gun. That’s when
police say, the second man came back with his own gun and started

N.C. - A long-time restaurant employee was killed and two
other people were seriously hurt after gunfire erupted at a
crowded south Charlotte Steak 'n Shake Tuesday. Officials said they
responded around 11:30 a.m. to an armed robbery at the restaurant on
South Boulevard, near Westinghouse Boulevard. Police said an
employee at the Steak 'n Shake was shot and killed by a robbery
suspect.Family members told Channel 9 the man who was killed was Darnell Harris. Police confirmed the victim's identity Wednesday morning. He was a cook at the restaurant. A witness said Harris, 48, intervened during the robbery, which led to the fatal shooting. Channel 9 learned one of the two people taken to the hospital was the robbery suspect, identified as Eddie Doh, and that the other person wounded was a customer, 53-year-old Robert Carpenter Jr. Police confronted the suspect inside the restaurant and the situation spilled outside. At least one Pineville officer felt threatened and shot the suspect, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. “The officers encountered the suspect, engaged him and there were
shots fired,” CMPD Chief Kerr Putney told reporters. Police
identified the suspect as 30-year-old Eddie Doh, who has a

-- Modesto police arrested a suspect in the murder of an adult book
store clerk after a full-blown manhunt.What might have been a run-of-the-mill armed robbery at the Liberty Books Adult Superstore on Kansas Avenue in Modesto took a different turn when the suspect opened fire on the clerk before taking money from the register. When police arrived on the scene they found 38-year-old Cinnamon Eades on the floor behind the cash register bleeding from at least one gunshot wound. She died at an area hospital, according to the policed department. Detectives were initially stumped but knew a violent criminal was on the loose. “It felt like a who done it,” said Sharon Bear, spokeswoman for the Modesto Police Department. “We were not sure if it was someone who was known to the victim. We didn’t know if it was a customer. As we gathered information, the sense of urgency also increased for us.” The big break in the case came when investigators learned the car the suspect was driving was apparently taken on a test drive from a used car lot. That’s what pointed them to 20-year-old Favian Ramirez of Modesto. |

into ground during arrest A police officer in Maryland is facing criminal charges after being filmed slamming a suspect’s neck into the sidewalk with his knee during an arrest. Kevin Moris has been charged with second degree assault and misconduct in office over an incident that happened on July 3, 2019, during his arrest of Arnaldo Andres Pesoa, 19. Pesoa’s charging document details how an undercover police officer first interacted with Pesoa after seeing him post about psychedelic mushrooms on Snapchat, and that the undercover officer then arranged to buy mushrooms from Pesoa. authorities.Deputies were attempting to stop a stolen car that they thought was involved in several auto burglaries when the car they were pursuing crashed near the corner of Jesse Jewell Parkway and Highland Avenue in Gainesville, authorities said. They said that several suspects ran from the crash scene, and were pursued on foot by deputies. Then, at about 11:15 p.m., authorities said the suspects and deputies fired at each other. Deputy Dixon and Garcia-Solis were both struck by gunfire during the exchange. The two were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, where Dixon died. Garcia-Solis was listed in critical condition, where he remained on Monday. According to the Hall County Sheriff's Office, Garcia-Solis was released from the Hall County Jail on July 2 after being arrested on June 27 for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a suspended license, felony obstruction of an officer, possession of an open container and striking a fixed object. In connection with the fatal shooting of Dixon, Garcia-Solis is facing a felony murder charge. On Saturday, the police said that the victim who died had been identified as 25-year-old Barry B. Barns. According to police, it appears that the suspect walked up to the victims' vehicle and shot them. They said the motive is still unknown, but that the shooting "appears to be drug related." assault, simple assault, flight to avoid prosecution and other
related charges. Police say the 46-year-old
postal worker was in the back of his truck sorting mail on
50th Street and Woodland Avenue when Mitchell, who was driving a
stolen Toyota SUV, slammed into him. His postal truck, in turn, hit
a gray Hyundai Elantra. The man

County chase with SUV hauling trailer ends in crash, arrestsCROSS
COUNTY, Ark. — A man and woman with a baby in their vehicle were
arrested after a wild chase near Wynne, Arkansas that involved an
SUV full of drugs pulling a trailer full of stolen motorcycles. According to the Cross County Sheriff’s Office, it started Thursday afternoon when a deputy tried to help the occupants of a black Suburban hauling a motorcycle trailer pulled over on the side of Highway 64 east. When the deputy put on his lights, the man inside jumped into the driver’s seat and took off. The deputy followed the Suburban as it sped up and crossed over the center line. At one point, the driver left the road and drove through a yard, circling a house. By the time the SUV entered the Wynne city limits, another deputy joined the chase, but the driver of the SUV hit that deputy’s car, and the other deputy slammed into the trailer. Deputies eventually caught up to the Suburban and hit its driver’s side door with a police vehicle after the man drove about 800 yards through a field and stopped to try to unhook the trailer. A search of the vehicle revealed a loaded 9 mm pistol, heroin, crack cocaine, marijuana, synthetic marijuana (K2), and drug paraphernalia, authorities said. Of the six motorcycles in the trailer, four were found to be stolen out of Iowa. Kelsey Bragg, 24, and Keyciyah Hughes, 24, both of Rock Island, Illinois, are in the Cross County Jail. Bragg is charged with five drug possession charges, endangering a minor, aggravated assault on an officer, resisting arrest, possession of a firearm by a felon and a host of other charges. His bond was set at $100,000. Huge faces drug and weapon possession charges, as well as a charge of endangering a minor. Hughes’s 11-month-old baby was taken to a hospital to be evaluated for injuries, and was then placed in DHS custody. |

(CNN)A 28-year-old sheriff's deputy in Georgia was shot and killed
Sunday after trying to stop a stolen vehicle suspected to have been
involved in multiple burglaries over the weekend.Nicolas Blane Dixon, a three-year veteran of the Hall County Sheriff's Department was shot dead, Hall County Sheriff Gerald Couch told reporters on Monday. Couch said Dixon was a husband and a father of two boys: a 9-year-old and a 4-month-old. Dixon and other deputies were pursuing a vehicle, which ended up crashing, and the suspect began to run, Couch said. Suspect Hector Garcia was followed and refused verbal commands by Dixon to show his hands. Garcia went behind a building and reappeared, opening fire, Couch said. Dixon was shot below his ballistic vest and transported in a patrol car to a hospital where he later died. Other deputies opened fire and Garcia was shot. Couch said the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is seeking an arrest warrant for felony murder. "He was out there in the darkness while most of us slept," Couch said of Dixon. "It was his job and he loved doing it." Another suspect in the vehicle was found hiding under a house and was arrested. Two other suspects who were also in the vehicle fled and Hall County is attempting to locate them, Couch said. The are no descriptions of the suspects at this time. The Gainesville Police Department, Georgia State Patrol and Gwinnett County Police Department are all assisting in the search for the remaining suspects, who are believed to be armed and dangerous, the office said. |

Authorities in Oregon have arrested a man in the death of an
original member of Disney's "The Mickey Mouse Club."Daniel James Burda, 36, was taken into custody Friday on suspicion of manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, abuse of a corpse, criminal mistreatment and identity theft in the death of Dennis Day, Oregon State Police said. Burda was being held in Jackson County Jail, where records show he had been booked on June 26 for violating probation on a previous robbery charge. Neighbors say Burda had lived with Day and his (queer) "husband" in southern Oregon. Police declined to provide more details and couldn't immediately be reached for additional comment. Day, 76, was a founding member of the Mickey Mouse Club for two seasons in the 1950s. Day was first reported missing last July 15 by his husband, Ernie Caswell, who has memory loss. Day and Caswell moved to Oregon in the 1980s and married in Ashland in 2009. |

Price Hill overnight and police have already arrested a suspect.
Police identified the victim as Bryan
Messer.Messer was shot on First Ave. near Glenway Ave. just before 11 p.m. Police arrived to find someone else had taken Messer to Mercy West Hospital. He died at the hospital. At 4:30 a.m., police arrested Tyshawn Mayers, 26 and charged him with murder. |

Police report that they responded to a call for service at around 4:00 a.m. after a concerned citizen heard two victims yelling and a gunshot in Uptown off of W. 6th Street. A pair of female victims stated that the suspect had approached them with a gun while walking near a construction area and threatened them before sexually assaulting one of the victims and then demanding their belongings. Douglas has previously been arrested several times for a variety of charges related to assault. |

Wayne County grand jury indicted a Tarboro man on kidnapping and
rape charges in connection to a 2018 sexual assault case.The jury handed down 48-year-old George Carter Petty Jr.’s indictment on Monday in Wayne County Superior Court. He is indicted on one felony count of first-degree forcible sexual offense, one count of attempted first-degree forcible sexual offense, one count of second-degree kidnapping, one count of assault inflicting physical injury by strangulation and one count of larceny. After arriving on scene, police spoke with a Princeton woman who was “extremely upset and had visible signs of abuse on her face, neck and arms,” police reported. Investigators with the department’s Investigations Division opened an investigation into the assault. During the investigation, the woman told police Petty kidnapped and sexually assaulted her at knifepoint, police said. Officers obtained a warrant for Petty’s arrest. |

Va. – Police identified the man accused of stabbing several people
Thursday afternoon at a plasma center in Petersburg.Jairque L. Shannon, 20, of Petersburg, has been charged with three counts of malicious wounding and one count of animal cruelty in connection to the attack that left one person in critical condition. Police were called to the Octapharma Plasma center in the 2000 block of Sycamore Street near the intersection of Crater Road around 4:40 p.m. That is when police said a man walked into the plasma center and used a "cutting instrument" to stab several people inside. Nurses and customers hid in a restroom inside that plasma center until police arrived, according to sources. Police said the suspect was taken into custody without incident. Two victims were treated and released from Southside Regional Medical Center, while a male victim was transported to another hospital in critical condition and a female victim who was transferred is in stable condition. Thursday evening, officers searched the suspect's nearby home, according to sources. Multiple sources tell CBS 6 senior reporter Wayne Covil that police found a deceased dog that had been hung inside his home, which led to an animal cruelty charge. Police have not released any details regarding a motive behind the attack. |

"It's something that is happening far too often in London. This is victims of knife crime treating themselves with these sort of weaving wig needles or even superglue. New Jersey Man Pleads Guilty in Death of Aspiring Rapper  A
New Jersey man accused of killing an aspiring rapper during a
recording session has pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter.
NJ.com reports that 23-year-old Marcel Steele of
Deptford also pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and a drug count.
Under terms of a plea agreement, Gloucester County prosecutors are
to recommend a total of 14 years in prison when Steele is sentenced
Aug. 2. Authorities said Steele and 22-year-old Jodeci
Robinson were at a Deptford home recording music on a
makeshift studio Steele had set up in a bedroom when they got into a
dispute over money. Authorities said Robinson withdrew cash from an
ATM and they returned to the house, but Steele again asked for his

WFMY News 2’s Jessica Winters witnessed it all unfold. She said it was complete pandemonium in the hallway of the courthouse a couple of hours ago as Hyquan Parker, 26, made his first appearance. He's charged with three counts of First Degree Murder after Burlington police said he shot three people Sunday night. Deputies had to run to chase down the victim’s family after they cussed and swore in the courtroom, despite Judge Hill’s warning to be quiet. It all escalated as one of the three victims families was sitting in the front row in court looking directly at Park. The family clapped when it was announced Parker would get no bond. The judge yelled, “This isn’t a sporting event.” Then profanity was used and the family members started walking out of the courtroom saying bad things about not only the alleged killer but also the judge. |
