Woman arrested for killing (elderly White) bus passenger in Las
Vegas  LAS
VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas police have arrested Cadesha Bishop
for the murder of a 74-year-old
bus passenger, identified as Serge Fournier.Police say that Bishop and her young son was on a bus on March 21 near North 13th and Fremont street when there was a confrontation with the victim. Witnesses on the bus told police that Bishop was arguing with and cursing at other passengers on the bus and that the victim asked Bishop to be nicer to the passengers. Surveillance video shows the elderly man being pushed by a woman by both hands as he exited the bus. He was pushed with enough force from the bus landing that his feet never touched any steps and his head hit the concrete approximately 8 feet from the bus. The woman and her child, wearing a Spiderman backpack, left the scene without stopping. Although the man survived the initial event, he died on April 23. The coroner ruled his cause of death as delayed complications from blunt force trauma and his death was ruled a homicide. Police were able to identify the woman from the surveillance video. On May 3, police detectives went to meet Bishop where she normally picks up her son. They saw the boy wearing the same backpack but he was with a man. When asked for contact information for Bishop, the man told police that he was no longer with her because she was too violent. When he was shown a photograph of the woman, he said he didn't want to identify the person because it put him in an awkward position. Minutes later, police detectives were able to make contact with Bishop. She agreed to come in for an interview but she did not show up. An arrest warrant was issued for Bishop. - (Black-on-white) |

COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) —A man suspected for shooting and killing a
motorcyclist in Robertson County Monday night has turned himself in
to authorities. The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office reported 22-year-old Marquis Waller turned himself in to the Robertson County Detention Facility Tuesday at 10 p.m. Waller was wanted on a criminal homicide warrant for the death of 42-year-old Brandon Rettich, who was shot and killed at the intersection of East Robertson Road and Friendship Road in Cross Plains. Waller reportedly fled the scene of the shooting in a yellow Ford Mustang. He is being held at the Robertson County Detention Facility. - (Black-on-white) |

rapes at San Marcos student housing complexes over the past two

woman and five dogs died Tuesday in a
multiple-vehicle crash involving a van that had been reported stolen
and was being pursued by Long Beach Police.Family identified the victim as Jessie Bingaman, a mother who ran a dog walking service called The Pawtenders. The police pursuit began near Broadway and Alamitos Avenue around 11:30am when an officer spotted the van and attempted to pull it over, but the driver sped off, police said. The pursuit was headed eastbound on Third Street through a residential neighborhood when the van collided with another vehicle in the intersection with Temple Avenue, according to witnesses who said the van was traveling in excess of 60 miles per hour and ran a stop sign. One witness said she had just stopped for the intersection when the van crossed the center line to go around her. "It was going so fast it was just a white streak," said Juanita Gaglio. An instant later, the van collided with the vehicle in the intersection, and before they slid to a stop, three parked cars on the other side were also struck. Bingaman was in the other vehicle, struck on the driver's side, and was trapped in the wreckage. It took rescuers some 20 minutes to extricate her, witnesses said. She was transported, but did not survive. In the vehicle with her were six dogs, of which four were killed at the scene, and a fifth later died after being taken to a veterinary hospital. The pursuit driver, who was also was hospitalized, was identified as Javier Oliverez, 43, of Los Angeles, an ex-con with an outstanding warrant for robbery. After treatment, he was booked into custody on charges including, evading a police officer, felony DUI, vehicular manslaughter, and he had an outstanding warrant for a post release violation, officials said. Oliverez is being held at the Long Beach City Jail with no bail. |

determined that his cause of death was attributed to methamphetamine

Tenn. (WZTV) - A Nashville man is behind bars after his wife found a
cell phone video of him HOMO raping a 5-year-old
boy. John Calvillo is charged with
rape of a child and being held in Metro Jail on a $150,000 bond.Calvillo's wife found a video on his phone that showed the suspect sexually assaulting a young boy. The alleged incident happened back in March of this year. Calvillo's wife told police the rape happened in their apartment and that she recognized the bed linens and furnishings. She was further able to identify the suspect and victim through voices heard in the video. The victim is a relative of the suspect's wife. |

SC (FOX Carolina) - A Friday evening shooting in Gaffney has turned
fatal after the Cherokee County coroner confirmed early Saturday
morning that the victim passed away.Cherokee County deputies said they were dispatched around 9:06 p.m. to Coach Hill Drive in Gaffney in response to a 'shooting with injuries' call. Upon arrival, Sheriff Steve Mueller said deputies found a 27-year-old man lying in the road, suffering from possibly life-threatening injuries. Coroner Dennis Fowler later said that the victim, identified as Jerry Lee Scalf, passed away on the scene. Fowler's report says Scalf was standing in the roadway when another person approached him and began shooting. Scalf was struck by gunfire and collapsed, per the report. Mueller says witnesses gave his deputies detailed descriptions of a person of interest in the case, and were able to quickly find the man. Saturday afternoon, Mueller released the identity of the suspect - who was taken into custody after a brief foot chase. 22-year-old Diante Jeramaine Willis has been charged with one count of murder. Investigators will be seeking additional charges against Willis as the investigation continues. On April 25, Smith was located and arrested in Los Angeles. Chico police said in the release that they have had contact with Smith and records indicate he was in Chico during the time period being investigated. |

Byrd, formerly of Boynton Beach, was previously convicted and sentenced to life in 2015, but prevailed on an appeal concerning the testimony of an alibi witness. Two accomplices — Byrd’s half-brother, Kevin Sammiel, and accused getaway driver Sherman Colson — are serving life terms for Deckard’s death. Their appeals were unsuccessful. Prosecutors said Deckard was killed for his iPhone and pocket change at 12:38 a.m. Aug. 30, 2012, as he walked along the 1100 block of Southwest 10th Street. The three men were pulled over by police in Boynton Beach about 13 minutes after Deckard was shot in the back. Byrd was caught after a chase and the gun was never found, according to court records. The wrestling standout had moved to Delray Beach about a year and a half before his death to fight a heroin addiction. motel room early Monday morning.Officers found 23-year-old Sierra Bree Clemens, of Grass Valley, California, dead in the bathroom of a room at the Tiki Lodge Motel on North Riverside Avenue just before 4:40 a.m., according to the Medford Police Department. They say they also found evidence of a violent disturbance. When officers first arrived, no one answered the door, so they had to force entry into the room and said they thought they heard someone escape through the bathroom window. Additional officers, including K9 Officer Kylo, responded and found a man, later identified as Justin Lee Graham-Yaeger, 33, hiding in a nearby dumpster. Graham-Yaeger was arrested after sustaining a bite wound from K9 Kylo and receiving medial treatment. After he was released from the hospital, Graham-Yaeger was arrested and lodged at the Jackson County Jail. He is facing a charge of one count of murder. Employees Tyaisha Butler, Taneesha Pinkett, Isaac Francis and
Shadaria Bell were charged with theft of over $100,000 and
second-degree conspiracy in connection to the thefts. Police said
the four employees worked together to steal more than $100,000 worth
of Apple products “over the course of several months.” Nineteen
products, including Apple watches, a laptop and an iPad, were among
the items stolen, The Delaware News Journal reported. Butler,
Pinkett and Francis were arrested and released on Thursday. Bell

citizen" on suspicion of brutally murdering a shopkeeper in the city
of Viterbo, near Rome, authorities told CNN Sunday. Michael
Aaron Pang, 22, from Overland Park, Kansas, is accused
of beating 74-year-old shop worker
Norveo Fedeli to death after being unable to
pay for clothes, according to Lt. Col. Guglielmo Trombetta of
Italy's paramilitary police, the Carabinieri Pang arrived in Italy
in mid-February and rented a bed and breakfast in the village of
Capodimonte, the officer said. "He was gentle with everyone and
always greeted everyone," Trombetta said, adding that the young man
doesn't speak Italian and used his mobile phone translator to
communicate.But he was arrested over the killing of Norveo Fedeli , who was struck with an iron stool and had his face trampled with a shoe, in a crime committed in daylight that has stunned the normally quiet town. has now become a homicide investigation.Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook said that the State Law Enforcement Division is charging Nathaniel David Rowland, 24, with kidnapping and murder in relation to Josephson’s death. According to police, Josephson was last seen on surveillance video after 2 a.m. Friday entering a dark vehicle, possibly a newer model Chevrolet Impala. Police say Josephson’s body was found by two turkey hunters in a wooded area in Clarendon County on Friday afternoon near Black Bottom Road in New Zion, nearly 70 miles from Columbia. The suspect previously lived in that area, and hunters say the secluded spot where she was found is only known to those who are familiar with that area. Resinos said she and Gettridge had a history of domestic violence, and after their last fight, her brother gave her the gun she used to shoot Gettridge. Crawford County prosecutor Marc McCune pointed to state law that allows using deadly force when someone is "imminently endangering the person's life or imminently about to victimize the person" as described under Arkansas' Domestic Abuse Act. Del. (CBS) — A woman has been arrested for allegedly dragging a
Delaware State Police trooper by her SUV earlier this week. Yira
Graciano-Toala, 52, of Wilmington, was arrested. It
started when a trooper simply stopped to help deal with
malfunctioning lights. The trooper spoke with a driver of a
dark-colored SUV, when the interaction turned violent. “The vehicle
took off with the trooper still on the vehicle and he was
subsequently dragged.” The 18-year veteran was able to pull
himself free after about a tenth of a mile, falling into a grassy
median. Graciano-Toala was charged with vehicular assault, reckless
endangering and other related charges. |

have identified the woman who led them on a car chase that ended in
a crash after they say she carjacked a man in Montgomery County.
Awa Rahman, 19, of Alexandria, was arrested and charged
Wednesday with armed carjacking and making a false statement to a
peace officer. According to police, they received a call around
12:03 a.m. Wednesday from a man who said that he had been carjacked
at the intersection of Amberlea Farm Drive and Dufief Mill Road in
North Potomac as he was driving to work. The victim told police a
vehicle was stopped in the roadway with its driver’s door partially
open. A woman, identified as Rahman, then exited the driver’s side
of the vehicle and said she needed a ride to D.C. She then got in
the victim’s passenger seat and demanded to be driven there before

before a judge in Osceola county court. He told the judge his
version of what happened on the day police say he purposely crashed
into his girlfriend's car.“She was moving her stuff out, Friday,” he said. “She moved her stuff out on Friday.” Saint Cloud Police say they got to the, what they are calling, horrific scene just after 10:30 p.m., Friday night. “Just multiple vehicles... you could barely make out their makes or models due to the severity of the damage they all had,” said Sgt. Frankie de la Rosa, from Saint Cloud Police. They say it started as a domestic incident between Barksdale and his girlfriend. She and four other people were driving in one car and Barksdale was in another. “It seems that the boyfriend intentionally struck the girlfriend's vehicle, causing a chain reaction and their vehicle crossed into the other lane and collided with three other vehicles,” Rosa said. A woman in one of those cars died at the scene, and everyone else - including Barksdale and his girlfriend - went to the hospital. prison for first-degree murder and attempted murder in a June 2017
shooting. Eazs A. Harper, 36, of the 200 block of Estate Drive, was found guilty of the murder of Kyle A. Savant, 26, of Caseyville, who Harper shot in the chest on June 4, 2017, in Washington Park. Harper was also found guilty of the attempted murder of Samuel Randall, who was shot twice but survived to testify at Harper's trial. Randall suffered life-changing injuries as a result of the shooting, the St. Clair County State's Attorney's Office said in a statement. The shooting happened near the intersection of North 51st Street and Rosemont Avenue in Washington Park. Savant was found dead outside of a pickup truck and Randall was found wounded inside the truck. Harper was also found guilty of two counts of aggravated battery through discharge of a firearm and felon in possession of a firearm. he has previous convictions in St. Clair County of felony vehicular hijacking aggravated battery, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and retail theft. Harper was sentenced Tuesday to 49 years for Savant's murder and 31 years on the charge of attempted murder in the first degree, the state's attorney's office said. He was also sentenced to 14 years on the charge of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, and will serve the sentence at the same time as his prison sentence for Savant's murder. - (Black-on-white) |

CITY, Mo. — Carl L. Farnsworth Jr. faces three charges in
connection with a deadly shooting Tuesday inside a vehicle.The Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office announced Wednesday that Farnsworth, 26, was charged with second-degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful possession of a firearm in Dwayne Sutton’s death. Kansas City, Missouri, police officers responded to the 4000 block of Blue Ridge Cutoff shortly before 7 p.m. on Tuesday to investigate a reported shooting. Sutton was seated in a Mitsubishi sedan and was pronounced dead at the scene. According to a passenger in the car, she picked up Sutton and Farnsworth at a hotel near 63rd Street and Missouri 350. Farnsworth, who was seated in the front seat, was acting “crazy,” “erratic” and “higher than anyone” the witness had ever seen, according to a KCPD probable cause statement. Farnsworth was upset and ranting that someone had stolen his money. Sutton attempted to calm him down and reassure him no one had stolen his money. The witness turned up the radio to drown out Farnsworth's voice. Near Interstate 435 and Eastwood Trafficway, Farnsworth allegedly shot Sutton in the face and the witness saw him waving the gun around. She asked what happened and Farnsworth said, “He shot me in the back of the head first,” according to the witness’ statement to police. A search of the car turned up a .40-caliber handgun and a spent .40-caliber shell casing. A 9mm handgun also was located in the back near the victim, but there was no evidence Sutton had fired the gun before being shot. Farnsworth, who pleaded guilty in March 2016 to possession of a controlled substance and pleaded guilty in March 2017 to third-degree assault, was apprehended after a brief foot chase outside a nearby Burger King. - (Black-on-white) |

and her toddler were nearly run over, then sprayed with pepper
spray, and she has no idea why. The assault happened in front
of witnesses in a neighborhood off Crowley Road in early April.
There was no lasting damage, but Diamond
Alvarez says her 3-year-old son Leo has some lingering fear
from the attack that happened in their neighborhood last month. They
were walking past a home, when a woman who had recently moved out,
quickly pulled into the driveway. “I didn’t say anything, I didn’t
give a dirty look,” she said. “And I told him ‘wait, wait, ok we can
go.’ And she immediately started just yelling.” Alvarez identified
the woman yelling, as Maria Russell, who Fort Worth police
confirmed has two arrest warrants out for assault charges.Alvarez said Russell threw a soda can at her, then got back in the car, and hit the gas. “She actually turned her vehicle and gassed it toward my son, and hit his 4-wheeler, and then I jumped in front of the vehicle, in between her and my son, and I put my hand out, and she gassed it four more times,” she said. That’s when Alvarez said Russell got out, and sprayed pepper spray directly at her and her son, before driving off. “This involves a child, an innocent child who wasn’t being rude or provoking her,” she said. Morrow was convicted of fatally shooting ex-girlfriend Barbara Ann Young and her friend Tonya Woods at Young's home in Gainesville in December 1994. Prosecutors said at trial that Morrow shot the two women and another woman when they turned him away as he tried to get Young to take him back. The third woman survived. |

Noblesville man beat dog into critical condition  
 NOBLESVILLE,
Ind. (WTHR) — A man has been arrested for a case of animal cruelty
that was so bad, the dog is still in critical condition nearly a
month later.Noblesville Police say Theodore Harris, Jr., 62, was seen in the parking lot of a Village Pantry on Westfield Road, beating and kicking a dog on April 3. Before police arrived, the man drove off. He was later reported at the All-Star Veterinary Clinic in Westfield. Police interviewed more witnesses and turned the case over to prosecutors. On April 29, Harris was arrested on two counts of cruelty to animal. The dog, Harlow, is still at the clinic in critical condition, even after multiple surgeries. The clinic was ready when Harlow arrived. “Large area wounds extending from her skin, sometimes down into her muscle layer. I can’t necessarily say what those ones are indicative of,“ Dudley said. Police say the wounds were intentionally inflicted by Harris, the dog’s owner. “It covered about 70% of her body, is my estimation. The majority of the wounds that she had were quite large in nature.” Large area of exposed skin and muscle where the outer coat was missing. Harlow has had two surgeries to close the wounds. She may need a third, but she’s healing well. Her medical bills are about $9,000. |

RAPIDS, Iowa — A judge sent an influential youth basketball coach to
prison effectively for the rest of his life Thursday, saying he
secretly collected sexual images of 440 boys and molested more
than a dozen over a 20-year period.US District Judge C.J. Williams sentenced former Iowa Barnstormers coach Greg Stephen to 180 years in federal prison, the maximum penalty he faced on sexual exploitation and pornography charges. Williams called Stephen’s crimes horrendous, saying he abused his position of trust to prey upon boys who saw him as their ticket to college basketball. The majority of the victims were coerced by online personas in which Stephen pretended to be a teenage girl and enticed them to provide videos and photos of themselves masturbating; these were relationships that went on for years. Others were surreptitiously recorded by devices that Stephen placed in bathrooms in hotels and his home or disrobed by Stephen and photographed while they slept. |

arbitrator ruled.Former Rev. Joseph DeShan, 59, began teaching in the Cinnaminson school district in 1996 — six years after he impregnated the teen, who worked in his parish rectory in Bridgeport, Conn., the state ruling said. Cinnaminson school officials didn’t learn of the illicit relationship until 2002, when it surfaced in the press. DeShan, who had left the priesthood years prior, was suspended for three weeks but eventually returned to the classroom. Then last year, district officials alleged that DeShan made a 12-year-old student uncomfortable while commenting on her “pretty green eyes,” according to the ruling. “Look at me,” DeShan allegedly told the girl. “Let me see your pretty green eyes. You don’t see them too much anymore.” DeShan purportedly made the creepy remark in a “weird voice,” according to the seven-page ruling. The parents said their children felt unsafe being taught by a “rapist” and a “pedophile” who had no business being around juveniles, especially those close in age to the girl he impregnated, the document said. |
