of Texas Student Kidnapped, Sexually Assaulted At Gunpoint By
Negro from Africa - gets 60 yrs  ARLINGTON
(CBSDFW.COM) – The man who admitted kidnapping and raping a
University of Texas at Arlington student at gunpoint learned his
fate Thursday. Joel Mambe was sentenced to 60 years
in prison after pleading guilty to aggravated sexual assault. His
victim was in court for the sentencing, and prosecutors say she’s
happy he’ll be behind bars for a long time.NOTE THE NAME "MAMBE" comes from the country of CAMAROON in Darkest Africa. It was in June 2018 when the 21-year-old victim was kidnapped by Mambe from the parking lot of her apartment building. The woman was forced to drive to an ATM and withdraw cash before she was taken to another parking lot and sexually assaulted. Before getting out of the car Mambe stole the victim’s cellphone, took a picture of her driver’s license and threatened to kill her and her parents if she reported the attack. The student ignored the threats and after driving herself home contacted police. She was able to help investigators retrace her steps and Mambe was arrested within 24 hours. Today, Mambe took the stand, and with head bowed admitted he was afraid. His attorney asked the judge to consider a lighter sentence, saying the 21-year-old had a drug problem and was willing to get treatment. Prosecutors argued Mambe wasn’t remorseful and after the sentencing told CBS 11 News they hoped his punishment would be seen as justice for the victim. Mambe must serve 30 years before he’s eligible to be considered for parole (so he can get out and rape again until he's caught). |

Neb. -- Lincoln Police have determined a murder near 26th and South
streets on Wednesday was a targeted act of violence and likely
drug-related, according to a statement released Thursday
afternoon.According to a release by LPD, investigators have finished processing the scene where Audrea Craig, 34, was killed on Wednesday morning. LPD said the killing was likely drug-related, and there is no ongoing threat to the public. Multiple firearms were recovered from the scene, including one outside the home, police said. In documents obtained by 10/11, investigators say Craig was selling marijuana, and kept the profits in her bedroom closet. The documents say two unidentified black males broke into the home, had an altercation with Craig and her boyfriend in the bedroom, then shot her multiple times in the chest. Investigators asked that Craig's five children, who were all in the home at the time of the shooting, be placed in protective custody. Investigators say after interviewing the children, it was determined that two other unreported robberies had taken place at this home within the past four weeks. Lincoln Police said they are also investigating whether the death of a 26-year-old Bellevue man is connected to the murder. Martae Green, 26, was dropped off at Bryan West hospital around the time of the shooting of Craig, police said. LPD said due to the close proximity of time and the nature of the injuries, investigators are working to see if the two situations are related. According to police, the suspect or suspects entered the home where Craig was living, and then shot her and fled. - (Black-on-white) |

NORRITON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) — Two women abducted and robbed an
elderly woman at gunpoint at a Montgomery County department store
earlier this month, police say. The incident began around 1 p.m. at
the Marshalls located at 540 S. Trooper Road in West Norriton
Township on July 11.Police say the two suspects approached a 76-year-old woman inside the Marshalls when one of the suspects flashed a semi-automatic gun inside her purse. The suspects threatened to kill the suspect’s family if she screamed, according to police. |

Norfolk man reports home invasion to police, gets arrested for
20 felony charges including rape  NORFOLK,
Va. – A Norfolk man was arrested after allegedly raping a woman and
filing a false report of a home invasion.Court records state that Theodore Weaver filed a report with Norfolk Police about a home invasion that happened on the 1300 block of Lead Street on July 2. Documents say Weaver told a 21-year-old woman that he had been included in a group chat which contained nude pictures of her and other females. He allegedly told the woman that his cousin could break into the group chat and find out who was behind the nude pictures. It states that the woman came over to see the chat with the nude photos and wait for Weaver’s cousin. While they were at the home, Weaver told police a man came to the door with a gun and a knife. Weaver said he and the woman were forced to undress and engage in sexual acts. The intruder also allegedly held a knife to the woman’s throat and raped her. The victim went home to Massachusetts and reported the crime to police the next day. Weaver told police he was stabbed during the incident, but police records state he had no injures and photographs were taken of his abdomen. Weaver was arrested on 20 different felony charges including rape, use of a firearm to commit a felony and conspiracy abduction of person with intent to defile. |

Virginia Behavioral Technician Guilty of Raping, Impregnating 2
Clients With Mental Disabilities A
man whose job was to help adults with disabilities has pleaded
guilty to raping two clients in Fairfax County, Virginia, leading to
pregnancies for both women.Bernard Betts-King, 60, pleaded guilty Tuesday to the attacks. In one case, the woman was unable to say who assaulted her. In the second case, the woman identified Betts-King as her attacker. Prosecutors said that when Betts-King was confronted with the evidence, he claimed the women "came on to him." Attorneys said both women had the intellectual ability of children and neither had been taught about sex. DNA tests conducted on the second victim's baby show a 99 percent chance that Betts-King is the father, court documents say. Fairfax County police believe he fathered the child of the first victim as well. Both women, who police did not identify, were clients of MLVE Community Center in Springfield, Virginia. The organization provides therapeutic and work opportunities to disabled adults. Betts-King worked with both women in his position as a behavioral technician, prosecutors said. Signs of trouble first surfaced in October 2017, newly filed court documents reveal. The family of the first alleged victim discovered she was five months pregnant and notified police. The intellectually disabled woman, who is of Korean descent, gave birth in February 2018 to a biracial baby. It's possible that Betts-King had additional victims, police said. Raleigh man accused of sex crimes with multiple children dating
back to 2012 RALEIGH
(WTVD) -- A Raleigh man accused of child sex crimes is in jail under
an $11 million bond.Bruce Ryan Tyler, 41, of Raleigh, will face a Wake County judge Wednesday. Tyler was arrested in April and already in custody on a charge of first-degree sex offense with a child when Raleigh police charged him with new child sex crimes Tuesday. According to the new arrest warrants filed this week, the crimes involve three different victims, all under the age of 13, stemming back to 2012. The offenses involving two of the children took place between January 2012 and November 2015. Then, from December 2015 to Tyler's arrest in April of this year, Raleigh police officers said he committed statutory sex offenses with a child who was between 6-10 years old. In total, Tyler is facing eight criminal charges, including illegal possession of a firearm and drugs. He was arrested and held on a bond of $11.04 million. Raleigh police officers were unable to tell Eyewitness News the gender of the victims, whether the victims knew Tyler beforehand, or how investigators learned of the alleged crimes. |

N.Y. — A man from Buffalo has been arrested for sexual abuse at Six
Flags Darien Lake.The Genesee County Sheriff's Office says 23-year-old Terrill J. Cunningham touched the intimate parts of two people under the age of 14 at the park. Park officials said Cunningham was a guest at the park and not an employee. He's been charged with 1st and 2nd degree Sexual Abuse and two counts of forcible touching. - Authorities are looking for more than a dozen juveniles who
they say brutally attacked two men earlier this month in Dupont
Circle as they walked into a hotel. Officers say the incident

listening to extremely disturbing testimony about how the teenagers
allegedly hunted his victims and then violently assaulted them and
his plans to hurt others, the judge said she felt the adult system
was the only suitable option. The DNA also linked Washington
to the murder of 23-year-old Maria

In her four and a half years on the bench, Washington is among just a handful of juveniles she has certified as an adult. While Judge Martin Lane is known for giving kids a chance, she felt it was in the public's best interest to try Washington in an adult court because of the overwhelming amount of evidence. "I did it with heavy heart," she said. "We are here to try to rehabilitate a child because we don't want to throw any child away." During a court hearing Tuesday, detectives detailed how Washington asked women for help to gain access to their home. He then allegedly attacked them at gunpoint. The detectives also testified that Washington pointed a gun at children in two cases. They said he threatened, "I will kill this 2-year-old if you don't give me sex." |

in the western suburb.David Aguirre-Gonzalez is accused of firing a weapon from a vehicle on July 13 and killing Richard Dunlap after the two were arguing, Cicero spokesman Ray Hanania said. He faces one count of first-degree murder. Nicolas Aguirre, 19, who was a passenger, is charged with three counts aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, according to Hanania and county records. Both are members of a street gang in Chicago, Hanania said. The shooting stemmed from an argument in the 2200 block of Central Avenue in Cicero, Hanania said. Dunlap and another person were walking on a sidewalk about 9:30 p.m. when Aguirre, Aguirre-Gonzalez and two others pulled up in a black Hummer at a traffic light, authorities said. The two groups “exchanged words” and began arguing, and then someone from the sidewalk threw a bottle at the Hummer and hit the hood, Hanania said. One of the passengers pulled out a weapon and fired one shot, striking 33-year-old Dunlap. The Hummer drove off. Dunlap was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where he was pronounced dead at 9:54 p.m., the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy found he died of a gunshot wound that entered his arm and then his chest. His death was ruled a homicide. |

a bicyclist and leaving the scene, police report.On March 25, police say 26-year-old Gregory Lucas Jr. hit Robert Jordan from behind and fled the scene. Lucas was arrested and served warrants on Tuesday in Knightdale. His bond was set at $10,000. He faces three charges of failing to appear on a misdemeanor and a felony hit and run charge. "My father was found laying in the road, and one of the good Samaritans pulled him out of the road," Robert's son Richard Jordan said in April. It's been just under four months since Jordan was hit riding his bike home from his work at Vogler Dance Studio. "It's really hard. Without Robert waking up, there's absolutely no way we can do the studio as it was," his son said. "The studio was almost his reason for living. That, and the bicycle, and his family." CITY — Authorities have arrested two more people — bringing the
total to six — in the vicious beating of a man who was dragged from
his car after a fender bender.The July 14 incident on Martin Luther King Coon Drive near Orient Avenue in Jersey City was captured on video by two of the dozens of people who stood by and did nothing to stop the attack that left the man unconscious in the street in a pool of his own blood. Danyisha Beverly, 25, of Jersey City, was arrested Tuesday and charged with robbery and rioting in connection to the assault stemming from an argument between the victim and another driver over whether to notify police following a fender bender, officials said. Also arrested this week and charged with criminal mischief and rioting was Rasheed Reed, 29, of Jersey City. Police say he is the man seen in the video jumping on the victim’s car hood and kicking in the windshield, the criminal complaint says. Four suspects were arrested last week, after Jersey City police released photos of six people who were sought for their participation in the attack. Qwadir Frazier, 26, and Shawn Herbert, 27, were charged with aggravated assault, endangering an injured victim and rioting. Bria Exum and Shirley Burrows, both 26, were charged with aggravated assault, while Exum was also charged with burglary and endangering an injured victim, authorities said. The 42-year-old, who initially was listed in critical condition, required a transfusion due to blood loss. He was released from the Jersey City Medical Center the following day. He could not be reached for comment on the incident. The man was then punched, stomped and kicked in the head. Authorities have said that while was lying injured in the street, belongings were stolen from his vehicle. |

police have a warning about a disturbing trend they're seeing
downtown---people exposing themselves in public. A suspect was
booked into jail Wednesday afternoon after witnesses say he exposed
himself at the Salvation Army--- in
front of a mother. They didn't want to talk on camera
- but witnesses tell us they heard a woman scream Wednesday
afternoon at the Salvation Army building. "She had a one-year-old in
a stroller," said Cpl. Brandon Davis.Police say Deandre Prince pulled down his pants and started touching himself in front of the mom and her baby. "The officer did more investigation and found he was performing a lewd act on himself, which made it worse than just exposing yourself," Davis said. Davis with Tulsa police says officers doing code enforcement noticed security trying to detain Prince after he dropped his pants. "She couldn't believe it," he said. "She said in Puerto Rico, that kind of thing gets dealt with pretty harshly." Davis said they've made at least six similar arrests in just the past two months. "We're seeing a lot of them-- repeat people, a lot of sex offender stuff," he said. Prince was booked into jail for indecent exposure. Court records show he was arrested for the same offense back in 2007 but only served 30 days. Davis has a warning for anyone who might think about committing a similar crime. |

counts of indecent exposure for allegedly exposing himself to two of
his co-workers at a McDonald's restaurant, court documents say.One of the victims told police that 3-4 weeks ago, Demarco Lewis showed his genitals to him about 5-6 times one day. He would have only his apron covering his genitals and when his boss looked away, he would lift his apron, exposing himself to his co-worker. On July 21, however, Lewis returned to work and exposed himself again to the victim 10-15 times in two hours, court docs say. The victim told him it was not cool and said he was going to tell the manager again. The manager was informed and McDonald's corporate office was informed and Lewis was sent home again. The victim had another co-worker film Lewis when he pulled up his apron exposing himself and turned it over to detectives, court docs say. The co-worker filming was also exposed to Lewis and is also a victim in this case, police say. |

A suspect was seen fleeing the scene in a newer model dark blue, possibly Jeep-style, vehicle with paper plates, the Los Angeles Police Department said. Police responded to reports of a shooting around 1 p.m., CBS Los Angeles reports. Zaragoza was arrested almost two hours later in the San Fernando Valley, near Los Angeles that's home to nearly 2 million residents. child pornography charges. Police say 52-year-old Brian Craig
Reeves has been charged with one felony count each of sexual

Investigators found several illicit images depicting underage

at a historically black university in Alabama has filed a
federal lawsuit against the school for age and racial discrimination
after he claims they have denied him the salary he deserves, despite
his tenure.Marshall Burns, a 73-year-old physics professor at Tuskegee University, alleges the school pays younger employees at least $18,000 to $30,000 more than him, although his professorship spans over four decades. Her husband, Cleveland James, told deputies he thought he heard fireworks before noticing the passenger window was shattered. He explained that he didn't realize at first that his wife had been shot in the head. "I didn't even duck. I just turned away because there was smoke," Cleveland explained. "I thought it was firecrackers and all this smoke started coming out, and the force of the explosion. I turned to my wife and said, 'Saron, did you see that?' And she just was slumped over, and that was the biggest shock to me." Cleveland pulled over and screamed for help, flagging down other drivers. He held a rag to his wife's face to stop the bleeding. "Blood was all over, and it really struck me. How could this happen? I kept saying, 'Saron, stay with us, baby, stay with us. Stay with us, don't leave, stay with us.' Tried to keep her focused. But there was no response," Cleveland said. Saron was taken to a nearby hospital, where she died. Authorities say multiple tips about Blackledge came in to Crime Stoppers. Investigators say 20 year old Malakhai Z. McCommons met the
victim through social media. Police say he was arrested at
his home. He's charged with rape and predatory sexual assault
against a child, both felonies. He was arraigned in the
Colonie Town Court and sent to the Albany County Correctional

Woman charged after baby falls during fight, later dies, speaks
out on mother’s behalf  MOULTRIE,
Ga. (WALB) - A 3-month-old baby
died as a result of a fight between the mother and
another woman, according to the Moultrie Police Department (MPD). On
July 19, the two women got into a fight at Thomas Beauty Supply, 614
1st Ave SE. During the fight, the 3-month-old fell from
the mother’s arm onto the pavement, Lt. Freddie Williams with
MPD said.The baby was taken to Colquitt Regional Medical Center on July 20 for a head injury. The baby later died from his injuries from the fall. The mother, Karen Lashun Harrison, 26, was charged with felony murder, first degree cruelty to children, second degree cruelty to children, simple battery and affray (fighting). Carneata Clark, 26, was also charged in the incident. Clark was charged with false statements and writings and obstruction of an officer for her involvement in the case, according to police. Harrison told police that the child had fallen from a friend of the family’s arms and got the head injury, police said. Clark, the friend of the family, gave the same story. Police said at this time, the other woman involved in the fight has not been charged. |

Fla. - A suspect in two separate Jacksonville murders was tracked
down by U.S. Marshals in Virginia and arrested. John Wilson, 34, was captured Monday morning in Portsmouth, Virginia, thanks to information provided by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, the Marshals said. Wilson is charged with second-degree murder in the July 2018 death of 32-year-old Trevor Neal Matthew. He is also charged with second-degree murder in the April death of 26-year-old Dylan McCurdy. On July 30, 2018, police responded to InTown Suites on St. Johns Bluff Road, where they learned Matthew had been shot and killed in the parking lot. On April 1, officers were called to Featherwood Drive South, where they found the body of McCurdy lying near the edge of the roadway. Investigators said they determined McCurdy died of a gunshot wound. In both of these investigations, according to the Sheriff's Office, the evidence and information gathered identified the suspect as Wilson and warrants were obtained in each case. Lorna Thomas, Matthew's mother, told News4Jax on Monday night that she had never seen or heard of Wilson before. But when detectives told her he had been captured, she said it was the best phone call she had ever received. "When he called me, he joked and said, 'Mrs. Thomas, I’m glad you answered the phone.' I said, 'Thank you, detective.' He said, 'Well, we have an arrest.' And I screamed and cried and praised God," she said as she wore a shirt with a photo of her son printed on it. Thomas said the arrest is a relief, but it doesn't replace her son. Despite the heartbreak, she said she forgives Wilson. “He needs help," she said. it will order more speedy deportations of immigrants who crossed
illegally and are caught anywhere in the United States, expanding a
program typically applied only along the southern border with

The rule set to be published in the Federal Register on Tuesday would apply “expedited removal” to any illegal crossers who cannot prove to immigration agents that they have been living in the country for two years. home-invasion robberies in Los Angeles and Hawthorne was sentenced
Friday to four consecutive life terms without the possibility of
parole, officials said.John Wesley Ewell, 62, pleaded no contest in May to four counts of first-degree murder and four counts of first-degree residential robbery. He entered the plea as part of a deal negotiated with prosecutors, the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office said in a news release. The four victims were choked and strangled to death during three separate home invasions in fall 2010. The victims included a married couple, an 80-year-old man and a woman who lived in Ewell’s neighborhood, prosecutors said. Even before the killings, Ewell had a lengthy criminal history that included robbery convictions but repeatedly dodged prosecution under the full weight of California’s three-strikes law, according to a Los Angeles Times investigation. Ewell — who worked as a hairstylist in South L.A. — was already being prosecuted in a string of Home Depot thefts when he committed the home-invasion homicides, but a judge had delayed sending Ewell to prison so he could address medical issues, the Times reported. On Sept. 24, 2010, Ewell allegedly choked and hit 80-year-old Hanna Morcos before robbing the victim’s Hawthorne home. Morcos suffered a heart attack from the assault and died, the DA’s office said. Weeks later, on Oct. 13, prosecutors say Ewell strangled 53-year-old Denice Roberts while robbing her home on the 12600 block of Hoover Street in Harbor Gateway, close to where the defendant lived at the time. The last two slayings occurred the next week, on Oct. 22. at gunpoint.He’s accused of sexually assaulting at least one of them at the Century Hotel on Miami Beach. Surveillance video from Wednesday shows him walking down the hallway. According to police, a hotel guest seen in the video heard the commotion and called hotel staff. Ernesto Rodriguez with Miami Beach police said, “The woman was attacked, she was violently choked and then battered sexually inside of the hotel room.” According to the police report, Bayne and a woman met at the beach and exchanged numbers. Soon after she invited him to her room. When she refused him, he became quote, ‘very upset and angry.’ In the City of Doral, police said he met a woman at the Holiday Inn behind the Ale House off 87th Avenue, robbing her of $400. After contacting local agencies police learned there was more. Another screenshot showed him inside the Fairfield Inn off Griffin Road. Police said he robbed another woman there. Screaming For Help In Warminster WARMISNTER,
Pa. (CBS) — A man has been arrested after police say witnesses
pulled him off a naked woman screaming for help Saturday morning in
Warminster. Police found 30-year-old Gregory Green inside a
car with the victim in the Rosemore Shopping Center parking lot.
Green was found in the car naked with the victim unconscious and
partially clothed. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital
for treatment. Green is facing rape and sexual assault charges,
among other related offenses. |

robbery. Acting on a Crime Stoppers tip, U.S. Marshals found
Williams hiding in the attic of his mother's Milwaukee
home. He is suspected of victimizing seven

A young MEXICAN mother has been accused of giving birth to a healthy
("anchor") baby boy in a California hospital and then strangling him
a day later in the maternity ward with her MEXICAN boyfriend.Doctors at St. John’s Medical Center in Oxnard made every effort to revive Baby Diego on Friday over a 10-hour period before declaring him dead, The Los Angeles Times reported. Sgt. Brandon Ordelheide said the mother, Andrea Torralba, 20, and her boyfriend, David Villa, 21, told investigators Friday morning they had suffocated Baby Diego until he was unconscious, the paper reported. Records showed both Torralba and Villa were born in Mexico; their citizenship status was unclear. The sergeant said Torralba told investigators she didn’t want the baby and Villa was not the father, the paper reported. Villa's occupation was listed in online jail records as "field worker." |
