19-year-old Carlisle man is convicted of first-degree murder in a
fatal shooting last year. The Cumberland County district attorney's
office last week filed a notice of intent to seek a death sentence
against Craig R. Hines Jr. Hines is awaiting trial for the killing of 23-year-old Michael Burch in the first block of East Penn Street on June 21, 2018. Hines is charged with first-degree murder, third-degree murder, and related offenses. Police said Burch was walking with a friend when a Chevrolet SUV pulled alongside the two men and Hines, the driver, fired multiple shots before fleeing. One of the bullets struck Burch and he died at the scene. Police believe the shooting was targeted at Burch? - (Black-on-white) |

– A man charged in the shooting death of a Milwaukee police officer
last summer changed his plea to guilty as opening statements
were to begin in his trial. Jonathan Copeland Jr.
entered the plea Tuesday. He's accused of killing Officer
Michael Michalski as the officer went to a home on July 25 to
arrest Copeland on a warrant for felony drug crimes. A jury had been
selected Monday for Copeland's trial on three felony charges,
including first-degree intentional homicide in the death of the
52-year-old officer. Copeland also faced attempted homicide charges
for shooting at two other officers

mother and daughter are facing charges after five of their family
members were found dead in a Morrisville Borough apartment Monday.
Charging documents released Tuesday revealed grisly details
about the killings, including that the two women charged with
homicide told police the deaths were part of a group murder-suicide
pact. Shana S. Decree, 45, and her daughter Dominique
Decree, 19, were charged with five counts each of homicide and
one count of conspiracy in the deaths of Shana
Decree’s children, Naa’Irah Smith, 25, and Damon Decree Jr., 13,
both of Morrisville; Shana Decree’s sister, Jamilla Campbell,
42, of Trenton; and Campbell’s 9-year-old twin daughters, Imani
and Erika Allen. “Everyone at the apartment
including the nine-year-olds
and 13-year-old wanted
to die" and that everyone was “talking about suicide.” |

COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Authorities in Chesterfield County are
investigating a home invasion on Monday that led to the death of the
victim's dog. Officers responded to the Mallard Cove Apartments,
located in the 4100 block of Mallard Landing Circle, after one of
the apartments was invaded by six suspects on Monday. According to police, the victim said that (a vicious feral pack of) six black males came to their apartment, knocked on the door and then forced their way in while displaying a firearm. But before anything was taken, the victim's dog chased the suspects out of the apartment. While the suspects were running from the apartment, a gunshot was fired outside the apartment. The victim's dog, 'Zeus,' had been shot and killed, police said. "They just came in, pointed the gun at us, and Zeus was after them and they ran," explained Kristopher Keener, a roommate of the dog's owner. The suspects are described as black males all in black clothing. One suspect was seen wearing a red and blue jacket. |

and ammunition. Two Butte County Sheriff's Deputies were on patrol
Sunday when they conducted a traffic stop on a small Toyota pick-up
on The Esplanade and Aspen Glen Drive. The pick-up did not
have a working license plate light. One deputy noticed part of a
rifle under clothing on the rear floorboard. The deputies removed
the men from the truck and detained them while the truck was
searched. The search turned up a 45 caliber pistol, an AK-47 rifle,
an AR-15 assault rifle and loaded high capacity magazines.Cristian Jesus Lambera Pimentel, 21, and Jorge Mardanado Castaneda, 28 both from Mexico were arrested for having a concealed firearm in a vehicle, carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle, two counts of illegally possessing an assault weapon and two counts of possession of a large capacity magazine. — A probationer who led Riverside police officers on a dangerous,
high-speed pursuit in a luxury electric sports car was arrested
after the plug-in car’s batteries died Sunday night, Feb. 17. The
pursuit, which wound its way from Riverside’s Eastside neighborhood
into Orange County, ended in a felony stop on the 91 Freeway. With
an app available to Tesla owners, the victim was able to track his
stolen vehicle from his phone, and immediately began providing
officers with “real-time” updates of the car’s movements. Based on
those updates, a responding officer quickly spotted the car as it
was exiting the 91 Freeway. But as officers prepared to
conduct a traffic stop, the driver of the stolen vehicle, later
identified as Filiberto Felix, 30-years-old of
Riverside, refused to yield and sped away from officers. Felix
eventually got onto the westbound 91 freeway and headed into Orange
County, where the luxury car’s batteries eventually died, leaving
the fleeing man stranded. |

man who posed as a church worker and assaulted a teenage girl. “This
is one of those things we are praying about,” said Pastor Jerald
Mason with Vegas View Church of God in Christ. Pastor Mason is still
bothered knowing a man posed as a church worker and sexually
assaulted a teenage girl. North Las Vegas Police say last month, the
man stood near the Vegas View Church of God in Christ off of North
5th Street and East Lake Mead Boulevard. Officers say the suspect
shook hands with its members. Pastor Mason remembers meeting the man
during a Saturday morning food bank drive.Investigators say the church impostor pulled the teenage girl from the greeting line. He told the victim they needed to head to a restroom so she could be counseled. When in the restroom, police say the man inappropriately touched her. The teenage girl says once the suspect learned her age he left the church building. |

arrested a man they believe shot and killed Munoz. Devone

trafficking marijuana. LMPD officers said Briggs shot and killed
Munoz in the lobby of the restaurant when they got into a
"verbal altercation," according to an arrest citation. The

trafficker after sneaking out of a window. She ran to police for

arrested the alleged captor. El Joshua, 36, of Mays Landing,
was arrested on Feb. 21 and charged with human trafficking, criminal
restraint and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. Joshua
held the women captive inside a Mays Landing home over an
unspecified period of time, investigators said. He's accused
of forcing the women into prostitution and domestic servitude using
violence, coercion and by providing heroin. |

Suspect in fatal Bourbon Street shooting (of White woman)

37-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an early Sunday
morning Bourbon Street shooting that killed
one woman and injured two others, including the
suspect himself.Louis Barnes has been booked with counts of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder, New Orleans police said. The woman killed in the shooting, police said, appeared to be an innocent bystander. She was 36. A security guard was trying to remove Barnes from Willie's Chicken Shack, an eatery in the 400 block of Bourbon Street, when Barnes struggled with the guard, stole his gun and started shooting. A spokesman for Willie's said the guard had told Barnes he had to leave because Barnes was trying to sell drugs inside the establishment. The guard was shot in the neck and Barnes was hit in the shoulder during the struggle. The 36-year-old woman, who was walking down Bourbon, was apparently struck by a stray bullet as the two men struggled over the gun. Barnes was required to register as a sex offender after pleading guilty to carnal knowledge of a juvenile, admitting he had sex with a 15-year-old girl in 2011. shooting that left a 37-year-old man dead in January. On Jan. 30,

ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. — A mother and son were sentenced to life in prison without parole Thursday afternoon for their role in killing an innocent witness to a pot shop robbery in 2016, according to the 18th Judicial District Attorney's Office. (BLACK) Terance Black and his mother, (blonde BLACK) Tina Black, were convicted last week of first-degree murder in the killing of David Henderson, the district attorney's office said. Henderson, 48, was found shot to death in Denver near Havana Street and Alameda Avenue on Oct. 12, 2016. Two months earlier, in August of that year, prosecutors said Henderson was a witness in the robbery investigation of Cure Colorado, located at 6200 E. Yale Ave. On Sept. 21. 2016, Terance Black was mistakenly mailed the affidavit which named David Henderson as a witness. Prosecutors say they tracked him down and killed him about a month later. The Blacks received the affidavit as part of a clerical error judges were unknowingly making in Colorado and District Attorney George Brauchler says this illustrates the worst case scenario of that error. |

Transient arrested for downtown Chico robbery  CHICO,
Calif. - A robbery occurred in downtown Chico Saturday afternoon on
W. 3rd Street. The suspect was quickly arrested and taken to jail
after police located him within just a few blocks of the crime
scene. The robbery occurred outside of a bank in the 200 block of
West 3rd St. at approximately 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The victim said
he was punched by the suspect who took some of his personal
property. The victim was not seriously injured. The victim and the
assailant both walked down the street toward the Starbucks, where
the victim stopped to call police. The victim said the suspect kept
walking down the street. Chico police quickly located their suspect,
26-year-old Jovontai Glaspie, between Broadway and Salem St.
on West 3rd. Glaspie was arrested for the robbery and was booked
into the Butte County Jail. |

Springfield man charged with infecting woman with HIV, then
trying to pay her off A
Springfield man has been accused of infecting a woman with HIV and
then offering her money to not cooperate with law enforcement.
Marcus Price, 36, was charged Wednesday with two felonies —
tampering with a witness in a felony prosecution and recklessly
infecting another person with HIV.The HIV charge is a Class A felony that carries a possible life sentence. According to a probable cause statement in this case, Price has been HIV positive since at least 2010, when he tested positive in Illinois. In March 2018, the statement says Price had unprotected sex with a woman in Springfield without telling her he was HIV positive. The woman was hospitalized later that month, and she learned she was HIV positive. The woman had been tested a few months earlier and she did not have any sexually transmitted infections, according to the statement. Once police became involved in the case, Price allegedly offered to pay the woman money he was getting from a legal settlement if she would not cooperate with the prosecution. |

A former youth care worker convicted of sexually abusing seven
teenage boys at a Phoenix-area shelter for immigrant children has
been sentenced to 19 years in prison. Prosecutors say 25-year-old Levian
D. Pacheco of Phoenix faced a tougher punishment at his
Jan. 14 sentencing because he exposed some victims to the HIV virus.
A jury found Pacheco guilty in September on seven counts of abusive
sexual contact with a ward and three counts of sexual abuse of a
ward. Prosecutors say Pacheco
homosexually abused the boys at the Southwest Key
facility in Mesa between August 2016 and July 2017. The teens were
being held in official detention pending possible deportation.

and raped a 22-year-old woman Thursday night. According to
police, the woman had just arrived in the parking garage of Note 16
Apartments on Horton Avenue just after 11 p.m. Police said she saw
the suspect sitting on a curb justice outside the entrance
gate. Officers said the man followed her car into the garage
and confronted her as she walked to the elevators. He then put his
hand over her mouth and forced her into the elevator, where he
repeatedly sexually assaulted her. The man also robbed of her
of her cash and her car keys, police say. Investigators say
the man then fled from the garage in the victim's car, which was
found in the parking lot of the Edgehill Library on 12 Avenue
South. A police dog attempted to track the suspect from there,
but did not locate him, according to Metro police. After the
assault, the victim knocked on the door of another resident at the
apartment complex and stayed there until officers arrived. |

woman GLENDALE,
AZ — Police located and arrested a suspect from a 2017 sexual
assault of a special needs woman in Glendale on Thursday. Police
report that Tyshawn Jazmare Gray was arrested in Sierra
Vista in connection with a sexual assault that occurred in December
2017. According to authorities, a woman
with special needs contacted Gray on a dating application and
requested a ride home from a Glendale hospital. Gray allegedly
picked her up and took her to a park near 51st Avenue and
Thunderbird Road. Police say he sexually assaulted her multiple
times and stole her cell phone. Nurses later told police the
victim had twenty injuries to her body.Police believe Gray may also be a suspect in a 2013 sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl. The girl was home alone when she allegedly saw Gray in her apartment. The girl claimed Gray sexually assaulted her several times. Upon his arrest, Gray allegedly stated that he had sex with the Glendale woman and knew that she was mentally disabled. |

AZ — A Massage Envy worker has been arrested, accused of touching a
customer inappropriately during a massage. Scottsdale police say
36-year-old Caleb Cherry was giving the woman a massage at

February 15. The woman says that while she was lying on her back
during the massage, Cherry moved his hand under a sheet covering her
private parts and inappropriately touched her.The victim says she asked Cherry to stop, and asked him to leave the room. entered the store armed with a handgun. He is shown on surveillance
video asking the store clerk for something from behind the counter,
and when her back is turned, he is shown pulling a handgun out. He
is then shown forcing the clerk into a corner behind the counter. The video also shows the man - later identified as Thompson - going to the door of the store, and physically bringing a female customer into the store. He is shown duct-taping her behind the counter. He then doused the women with fluid, and lit the customer, identified by police as Della Witt-Denizeri, on fire. Harvey said the clerk was able to help the customer get her burning shirt off.
