Minn. – Three people facing second-degree murder charges in connection to the shooting death of Brandon
Arndt were allegedly involved after Arndt’s neighbor and a relative of the three accused suffered from a severe medical condition.Speaking Monday, Rochester police laid out what they believe to be the motive in a case that had been under investigation since early September. Kielah Parsons, Malcolm Woods, and Darien Kristopher Klindworth-Woods are all facing second-degree murder charges. Authorities say at around 2 p.m. Sept. 9, an elderly female who lived next to Arndt had a life-threatening medical condition. On Sept. 8, police said Arndt had heard the woman crying for help and he gave her water and medicine and offered to call 911. The woman declined calling 911, authorities said. Police say family members were upset and thought Arndt had something to do with her medical condition. Surveillance video from convenience stores, residences, downtown and St. Mary’s hospital led police to believe that some of the family members left the hospital around 3 a.m. the morning of the murder. Parsons, Woods and Klindworth-Woods are all grandchildren of the medical victim. Klindworth-Woods was taken into custody in north Mankato, Parsons was located during a traffic stop on 4th St. and 3rd Ave. SE. in Rochester. Woods was located walking in the 2300 block of Valleyhigh Dr. NW. on Friday afternoon. Woods was found with a 9mm handgun, which police said was not the murder weapon. Based on statements, police said Klindworth-Woods drove the vehicle near the residence and Woods was the shooter. Authorities said Parsons was present and aware of what was happening and that she went into a convenience store to get plastic bags used by Woods to cover his shoes. According to court documents, a .40 caliber casing was found in the trailer located at 1915 Marion Rd. SE. in the early-morning hours of Sept. 10. Police say that gun was later sold in Mankato. Police said prior to Arndt’s murder that 5-6 people allegedly showed up at his trailer and confronted him about giving the elderly woman illegal drugs. Arndt was killed the next morning. Surveillance video footage near the crime scene showed one male with plastic bags on his feet and hands running from the scene. - (Black-on-white) | ||

people have been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Memphis civic leader Phil Trenary, according to Memphis police.McKinney Wright Jr., 22; Quandarius Richardson, 18; and Racanisha Wright, 16, have been charged with first-degree murder in perpetration of criminal attempted robbery and criminal attempted especially aggravated robbery, according to police. According to an affidavit, the trio "discussed possible robbery targets as they drove around downtown Memphis." Richardson was charged Saturday following a police chase involving a vehicle that matched the description of one used in the homicide, but police had not said if the case was connected. Richardson was booked into the jail around 4 a.m. Saturday. Jail records show McKinney Wright Jr. was booked just before 10:30 p.m. the same day. MI - What stared as an argument about sharing a plate of sausage and eggs ended with a woman being stabbed to death by her "housemate".Washtenaw County Deputy Medical Examiner Dr. Allecia Wilson testified in court Wednesday that 19-year-old Jamie Barsegian died three months ago in her Ypsilanti apartment from 49 stab wounds to her chest, neck, abdomen and appendages. Barsegian's accused killer, Tywaun Sims-Scott, was bound over for trial. Court hearings were delayed while he was undergoing a mental evaluation which found him competent to stand trial.On June 15, officers were dispatched after a man, later discovered to be Sims-Scott, called 911 stating he had killed someone and the police "were next." Officers found Sims-Scott standing in the street, covered in blood with two knives raised above his head and yelling at the officers to shoot him and that "he had nothing to live for," Kofahl said. Sims-Scoot eventually complied with officers and was handcuffed and taken to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital to be treated for several large cuts to his hands, she said. "He wanted suicide by cop and that didn't work," Tabbey said during the close of the court hearing. "It shows their professionalism that they did not take the bait and shoot him." The recordings were difficult to hear, but in them Sims-Scott admitted he had been living in an apartment in the 700 block of Green Road with Barsegian and her boyfriend for two weeks when he got into an argument with Barsegian while her boyfriend was at work. Barsegian wanted to eat some sausage and eggs Sims-Scott had cooked and he refused, initiating the argument, he said in the recording. There was also talk about Sims-Scott being kicked out of the apartment prior to this argument, police said. He threatened to text Barsegian's boyfriend and to slap her before she threatened to get a gun stored in the apartment, he said. As she went into the bedroom and began going through drawers, allegedly looking for the gun, Sims-Scott grabbed a knife from the kitchen and went to the bedroom to confront her, he said. She screamed when she saw he had a knife and he stabbed her in the abdomen before she fell to the floor, according to the recording. He stabbed her several times in her throat to silence her screams as she tried to fight back, Lowry said describing the defensive wounds found on Barsegian's arms. After the stabbing, Sims-Scott began going through the home looking for the gun so he could shoot himself, he said. The man seen in surveillance photos released by Richmond Police robbed Grey of his iPhone, Crime Insider sources indicated. A wounded Grey crawled into a nearby convenience store and died. Mo. -- A Blue Springs man is now the second suspect facing charges in the death of a woman in Independence.Michael Lora, 20, has been charged with second-degree murder, first-degree assault and two counts of armed criminal action in the deadly shooting of Mary Schmitz. Independence police responded to the Cedar Brooke Apartments, located on Quail Creek Drive, on the morning of Sept. 18 on reports of shots fired. Court documents say police heard yelling when they arrived, and through a window they saw Schmitz dead on the floor in the dining room. Police also found a 21-year-old man in a bedroom with a gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. Officials also said a German Shepherd had been killed. David Harris, 18, was also charged in the deadly shooting last week. According to court documents, police later found Harris, who matched the descriptions given to them by the assault victim. Harris told police that he had been in a fight with the assault victim at the home and had shot Schmitz during the fight. Harris told police he then left the scene and threw the gun into the woods. Court documents say, after he was taken into custody, Harris told a source at the Jackson County Jail that he might have to "roll," or snitch, on Lora. Then on Tuesday, the assault victim also identified Lora as one of the alleged shooters. Lora was taken into custody Wednesday. CITY (KOKH) — A man arrested last year in connection to 10 robberies in Oklahoma City is now linked to four homicides, according to police. The Oklahoma City Police Department reports that the Oklahoma County District Attorney's Office has accepted four murder charges against 27-year-old Mario James Normore. Normore was arrested in October 2017 following an investigation into two bank robberies and eight business robberies that occurred during a two-month period.He is now suspected in four metro murders. In July 2017, the body of Bashar Burks was discovered in a burning vehicle near Wilshire and Air Depot. The next day police were called to an area just north of the fire after the body of Ashley Easton was discovered in a ditch. Easton and Burks were in a relationship, Oklahoma City police say that Burks and Normore worked together. In October 2017, the remains of 21-year-old Searra Howe were found near Wilshire and Oak Road. Howe had been reported missing in August 2017. She reportedly told her mother she was going to a McDonald's around 4 a.m. and never returned. Her vehicle was discovered abandoned in a metro neighborhood. A tip led police to her decomposing remains. Police say that Howe and Normore were friends prior to her death. The fourth murder that police say Normore is tied to is related to the disappearance of 58-year-old James Steven Knowles. He was last seen on Oct. 3, 2017. Police say that a confidential source told them that Knowles had been killed by Normore and dumped. Knowles' body has not been found. Knowles was the maintenance man at Normore's apartment complex and the two were reported to be acquaintances. Officers also found a black, scoped pellet rifle inside, the report said. Witnesses identified Concepcion De La Ros as the gunman and Alvarez as the other man on the balcony, the report said. |

Shoots Car During Road Rage Police
are searching for a driver accused of shooting another man’s car during a road rage incident on I-95. Police say the victim, a 32-year-old Philadelphia man, was driving on Street Road and the Route 13 ramp in Bensalem Township, Pennsylvania, Friday at 5:30 p.m. As the man drove, he was nearly struck by a gray, 2015 Hyundai Sonata, police said. The man then yelled at the driver, identified by police as Kalief Armstrong, 30, of Philadelphia. Words were then exchanged between the two men, according to investigators. The 32-year-old man then drove onto I-95 south and was traveling in the middle lane. He then spotted Armstrong in the left lane approaching his vehicle, police said. The 32-year-old man told police Armstrong was waving something. He then heard a loud gunshot noise and Armstrong then sped away. The man believed Armstrong took the Academy Road exit, according to investigators. The 32-year-old man then pulled over to a safe location and spotted a bullet hole on his driver side rear door close to the front door. |

(KMSP) - More details are coming to light after a man was fatally stabbed in the head Tuesday night during a fight at a Cub Foods in Minneapolis.The Hennepin County Medical Examiner and the Hennepin County District Court both released documents Thursday that identify the two men involved and show details of the incident. The victim is Jeffrey Miller, 54, who died of a stab wound to the head, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner. The man who stabbed him is Damon Moore, 56, of Minneapolis. Moore now faces murder charges. According to the criminal complaint, witnesses said Moore was being rude, using foul language and holding up his middle finger towards customers at the Cub Foods in the 2800 block of 26th Avenue North. The same witness also said Moore appeared to be intoxicated. The witness said Moore walked over to Miller and called him a “racist white” and a “white bitch,” to which Miller responded telling Moore to go outside and wait there for him. According to surveillance footage, Miller and Moore both walked into the vestibule of the store where they fought. After several seconds, Moore backed into the store and Miller threw a yellow cone at him before walking to the parking lot. Surveillance video shows Moore dig into his pocket, pull out a knife and unfold it before following Miller to the lot. Cell phone video provided by a witness then showed Moore reengaging Miller while shielding his right arm behind his body. Moore then took a swing at Miller and Miller swung his grocery bag back at him. It was then that Moore swung his right hand, making contact with Miller’s left temple area. The complaint says Miller fell to the ground on his back incapacitated and was making gurgling sounds with his arms and hands reflexively moving upward. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner told police Miller died from a stab wound to the left side of his head above his ear. The wound penetrated the skull and went into his brain. CITY, MI -- A Saginaw woman who held up a Bay City party store while wearing a gas mask, then fled from police and hid in a drainage pipe, is going to be imprisoned for the next few years. Bay County Circuit Judge Joseph K. Sheeran on Monday, Sept. 24, sentenced 25-year-old Terryn P. Sangster to concurrent terms of five to 15 years and 40 months to five years in prison. The judge gave her credit for 95 days served. Sheeran also ordered Sangster to pay $107 in restitution to the 7-Eleven she robbed at 1510 Kosciuszko Ave. Sangster in August pleaded no contest to both charges she faced -- armed robbery and third-degree fleeing and eluding police.Police erected a perimeter and summoned a K9 unit to the scene. Around 5:30 a.m., the K9 tracked the scent to a drainage pipe, wherein Sangster was found. |
