N.C. — Authorities said Saturday that a Rocky Mount woman has been
arrested in connection with the slaying of
Leggett Mayor Gary Skelton and his wife in their
Edgecombe County home, meaning three people are now facing charges
over an incident that left the couple dead.Dakeithia Nesha Andrews, who turns 31 on Sunday, has been charged with conspiracy robbery with a dangerous weapon, the Edgecombe County Sheriff's Office said in a written statement. She was being held Saturday at the Edgecombe County jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond, authorities said. Andrews was expected to appear in criminal court on Wednesday for a first-appearance court hearing. Friday night, authorities announced that Mitchell Brinson, 18, of Bradley Avenue, has been charged with first-degree murder and was being held without bond in the Edgecombe County jail. On Friday morning, authorities charged Keith Earl Williams, 25, of Daniel Street, with first-degree murder in the case. He also was being held without bond in the county jail. - (Black-on-white) |

- An arrest has been made in the murder of 33-year-old Christopher
Boston.A driver in the 7400 block of Bishop Harbor in Palmetto called 911 to report what they believed was a dead body around 10 p.m. on Aug. 8. Manatee County Sheriff’s Office deputies confirmed Boston had been shot and killed. In a Saturday afternoon news release, deputies announced they arrested Manrieke Miller, 26, in connection with the shooting. According to the sheriff’s office, the two were in an “ongoing feud over money from drug transactions.” As deputies began the investigation, they suspected Boston, a struggling addict, had been shot and killed elsewhere, with his body dumped in the grass along the Rubonia road. When he was arrested Saturday, Miller was already booked into the Manatee County Jail on unrelated charges, including aggravated assault on an officer and distribution of cocaine and marijuana.  SEMINOLE
COUNTY, Fla. - Sanford police arrested a man for allegedly trying to
kill his boss two hours after he was fired. The manager told police
Djuan Lewis, 23, chased him from Benada Aluminum Products on
Jewett Lane and started firing into his car. Lewis had only
worked there Thursday and was fired Sunday morning for throwing
supplies and tools on the ground. Lewis was fired, then waited for
his district supervisor outside for two hours. Investigators said
Lewis then chased the manager and his girlfriend for a mile and a
half. The girlfriend told police she heard about five shots.
The arrest report states bullet holes were found in the rear bumper,
trunk door, and right rear tire of the manager’s car. Lewis had
several drug and theft charges since 2014. |

Bird is being guarded by police at a local hospital and
faces several charges after a domestic violence incident,
the Boston Police Department said. Bird is being evaluated in the
hospital following the incident, which occurred in Brighton on
Friday, police said. The victim was taken to a different hospital
for treatment, officers said. Police said complaints would be sought
against Bird for assault and battery, strangulation and kidnapping.

BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- Manhattan Beach police on Friday arrested a
man accused of exposing himself to a high school student as she was
walking home from school. Carson resident Richard Eugene Milton
was arrested by Manhattan Beach detectives at approximately 1
p.m. The 31-year-old is accused of exposing himself to the
underage girl just blocks away from Mira Costa High School
shortly before 5 p.m. Wednesday. The girl was approached by a black
car with tinted windows, police said. The driver asked the girl for
directions to the freeway and as she was responding, she saw he was
exposing himself in the vehicle. |

Calif. - Police have released more information about a shooting that
happened in downtown Chico early in the morning on Sept. 6.
The shooting happened around 1 a.m. outside of Duffy's Tavern,
when a fight broke out resulting multiple gunshots. Police say that a rapper, Deshawn Taylor, 23, was performing at a bar called "Lost on Main" when he was asked to leave the stage after forgetting the words to his song. Taylor then got into a verbal dispute with people inside the bar and allegedly displayed a handgun in his waistband. Security then ushered him out of the bar, along with his mother and grandmother. After that, Taylor began walking south of the bar and got into a second altercation with a different group of people near 4th Street in Chico. Witnesses saw him allegedly waving a handgun in the air, which prompted them to call Chico police. The altercation then became physical, and witnesses saw him allegedly fire the handgun before fleeing on foot. Officers were able to detain and later arrest Taylor for Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Exhibition of a Firearm, Possession of Ammunition by a Prohibited Person and Violation of Probation. |

A drunken Queens man stole a construction truck from a Long Island
work site — ramming into an employee, another pedestrian, a fence
and a parked car as he attempted to get away with the ride. Yefry Ramirez Diego, 34, of Far Rockaway, allegedly hopped inside the 1997 International Truck that was parked and left with the engine running at a construction site on Route 878, just north of Burnside Avenue, around 1:30 a.m., cops said. He started driving the truck off the site, but two construction workers followed him in another vehicle, police said. Once Diego reached Sheridan Boulevard and Nassau Avenue, he stopped, which allowed the employees to catch up to him. Both tried to pull Diego out of the truck, but failed, police said. So Diego started to drive again, this time toward the two employees who were standing in front of his truck, cops said. One of the men jumped out of the way, but the other, 60, was struck on the arm. Diego drove west on Sheridan Avenue until he lost control of the truck and smashed into a fence on Sheridan Boulevard, cops said. He also struck a 42-year-old man walking on the sidewalk at Carvel Place, before colliding with a parked 2015 Nissan Altima, police said. |

mayor, wife  Tarboro,
N.C. — A Tarboro man who was released from prison last week was
charged Friday in the deaths of Leggett
Mayor Gary Skelton and his wife in their Edgecombe County
home. Keith Earl Williams, 25, of Daniel Street, was charged
with first-degree murder and was being held without bond in the
Edgecombe County jail. Sheriff Clee Atkinson said a person of
interest in the case was being held on unrelated charges. He didn't
identify that person.Deputies found Skelton and his wife, Jackie Dawn Skelton, dead inside a home at 7218 N.C. Highway 33 in Leggett on Thursday evening after they went there to check on the welfare of a resident. Williams was released from prison on Aug. 28 after serving a little over a year for assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon, according to state Department of Public Safety records. Victim Identified In Downtown Duluth Homicide; (BLACK) Suspect
Arrested  DULUTH,
Minn. — Duluth police have made an arrest in the death of Scott
Pennington, 31, of Duluth, who shot and killed
over the weekend in downtown Duluth. That 25-year-old suspect,
Jamal Tyshawn Jackson, was lodged in the St. Louis County
Jail Tuesday on a preliminary charge of second-degree intentional
homicide. He was arrested Sunday in Hennepin
County. Pennington was shot on a sidewalk just before 1
a.m. Saturday on the 100 block of West First Street, which is
a busy section of downtown on the weekends for its nightlife.The Pennington family released the following statement: “Scott was a caring, kind-hearted man with an amazing sense of humor who was extremely loyal to family and friends. He would go out of his way to help anyone. years, Jeff Molnar said the world is a better place now that his
sister’s killer will spend the rest of his life in prison. A jury
unanimously found Robert Mathis II, 42, guilty Thursday of
brutally beating Jennifer Molnar,
31, to death in June, 2011. He was convicted on two alternate counts
of murder and immediately sentenced by Judge Michael Goulding to
life in prison without parole. “I’m very pleased with the
sentence, very deserving,” Mr. Molnar said. “... I wouldn’t even
classify him as a human being, that guy is really like a
modern-day monster — dangerous. He belongs where he’s going.”
The jury saw photos of Ms. Molnar’s beaten body. She had extensive bruising and abrasions across her body, burn marks down her face, and significant internal injuries — including a lacerated spleen and kidney, along with a bruised pancreas, Dr. Maneesha Pandey, deputy Lucas County Coroner testified. “You literally tortured and beat the life out of Jennifer Molnar with a force comparable to a high speed car crash,” Judge Goulding said to Mathis, who hung his head. “You express no remorse for killing her.” The judge described Mathis as a drug dealer, living off the taxpayer’s dime, who manipulated and controlled others. assault, sexual assault and killing of an
83-year-old woman. Tyrone Harvin, 14, has
been charged as an adult with first-degree murder, first-degree
rape and various sex offense and assault charges."I went back and was just making sure it wasn't a typo that when he was in fact 14 and just recently had a birthday," Baltimore police media relations Chief T.J. Smith said. "Many of us were probably thinking younger person, but I don't think anyone was thinking a 14-year-old could be capable of something like this." Harvin is charged in connection with the assault and killing of 83-year-old Dorothy Mae Neal. According to police, a concerned neighbor called police Aug. 29, saying they hadn't seen Neal in a while. When officers went to Neal's apartment in the 2300 block of Winchester Street, they found her unresponsive. She had been badly beaten and sexually assaulted. She died the next morning. Police said they found physical evidence at the scene that linked Harvin to the crime. Harvin lives in the building next door. |

arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman inside her
apartment in Newark, Delaware, and stealing her vehicle. Leonard
Lambey, 25, was arrested in Brooklyn, New York, on Wednesday.
He's charged with rape, kidnapping, robbery, theft of a motor
vehicle and other related offenses. Police say Lambey sexually
assaulted a 33-year-old woman inside the Hunters Crossing Apartments
on Fairway Road Sunday around 5:30 a.m. Lambey, who was armed with a
weapon, then took the woman's car keys and stole her vehicle, a 2013
Honda CRV, according to investigators. Police later found the stolen
vehicle in Brooklyn. New York City police officers then set up
surveillance video and spotted Lambey returning to the vehicle,
investigators said. |

Texas (KWTX) A Killeen man accused of killing his
brother’s dog during an argument remains jailed in
lieu of bonds totaling $65,000. Terry Jermaine Garmon, 38, is
charged with cruelty to non-livestock animals, terroristic threat of
a family member, possession of a controlled substance, and discharge
of a firearm. Garmon was arrested on Aug. 22 in connection
with the death of the dog on Aug. 8. He was arguing with his brother
and during the argument, Garmon “went in his apartment and came back
and produced a handgun and shot in the dog in the head causing his
death.” The dog was outside at the time. |

her Church Street home in Bridgeton around 12:30 a.m. on July 17.
The announcement comes on the heels of the arrest of three other men
who were taken into custody and charged with murder, conspiracy to

The investigation showed that Morings lured the victim to his house and refused to let her leave. guys forced her into the passenger side of her car.She says the younger one took off as the other drove to a dark corner of the parking lot and raped her. He then picked up his accomplice and took her to an ATM where they forced her to reveal her PIN to withdraw money. She had already reached her withdraw limit, so they made her wait for at least an hour so they could withdraw cash on a new day. The Harris County Sheriff's Office released photos Thursday of the older suspect she says raped her. He was at the ATM as the other one was holding her at gunpoint. "I got a look at that other boy's face, and I said, 'How old are you?' And he said, 'Man, I'm only 16.' And I said, 'I got a son your age. What are you doing?' He said, 'Well, we gotta do what we gotta do.'" She says they got $400 and then dumped her on the side of the road, taking her car, which was recovered a week later. Investigators are asking for the public's help to identify the suspect caught on camera. "They need to be caught," she said. |

Man Who Allegedly Carjacked Nun in South L.A. Faces Kidnapping
Charges Authorities
on Friday identified a man who allegedly carjacked a 70-year-old nun
in South Los Angeles the previous day. Gregory Brinson, 43,
faces kidnapping charges in connection with the incident, which
occurred in the 1400 block of West Adams Boulevard on the border the
Adams-Normandie and University Park neighborhoods. He can be seen walking along the line of cars, pulling door handles, though none open. Eventually, he walks into the car wash and climbs into the backseat of the nun's car as it's being washed. Brinson then allegedly ordered the nun to drive and threatened to kill her if she didn't follow directions, a USC police officer told KTLA. The nun then drove about five miles to a Carl's Jr. in Boyle Heights, where Brinson allegedly told her to stop. The victim, who was not injured, grabbed her keys and ran out of the vehicle. shooting of a 12-year-old girl in South Carolina last week, police
said. Michael Christian Barclay, 31, of Timmonsville, SC, was
busted by authorities with the Regional Fugitive Task Force and the
Secret Service in the Brownsville section, law-enforcement sources
and cops said. Barclay was picked up inside NYCHA’s Howard Houses
after authorities received a tip that he was there, sources said.
The NYPD said Barclay was arrested on a warrant at 12:40 a.m.
Barclay was charged with murder for the shooting of Fantasia
Shyann Jackson, according to the Florence County
Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina. Timmonsville officials allege

arrested in attack on MTA bus driver in Brooklyn BEDFORD-STUYVESANT,
Brooklyn (WABC) -- A man has been arrested in connection with at
least one incident in a string of attacks on MTA drivers on the same
bus line in Brooklyn. Authorities say 34-year-old Sherrod
Jackson was nabbed for one of the recent incidents on the B15
bus line in Bedford-Stuyvesant. He was taken into custody in the
Halsey Street subway station around 8:20 p.m. Thursday. An alert
token booth clerk spotted Jackson at the station, recognizing him
from a wanted poster on the booth. The clerk called over two transit
officers, who made the arrest.Jackson is accused of throwing an object, possibly a pepper spray canister, at a B15 bus at Marcus Garvey Boulevard and Fulton Street around 1:40 p.m. Monday. Police say he was also linked to an August 12 burglary, during which money and a wallet were stolen from a 27-year-old man's apartment on Halsey Street. He was reportedly in possession of a gravity knife when he was arrested. Police are now looking into whether he can be linked to the two other incidents on August 23 in Brownsville, where a man sprayed mace at passengers and a bus driver on two B15 buses. Then, just before 1 p.m. Thursday, a man threw a rock at B15 bus on New Lots Avenue and Williams Avenue in East New York, shattering the driver's window. It is unclear if that attack is related to the other three. |

Del. --- An employee of the Capital School District was arrested and
faces charges including 1st degree murder in a fatal shooting this
week at a Dover elementary school, city police announced Thursday

Police:
Illegal Immigrant Arrested In Shooting Of Upper Darby Store
Owner
UPPER DARBY, Pa. (CBS) —The man suspected of shooting a store owner
in Upper Darby over the weekend is an illegal immigrant, according
to police. Pablo Quintanilla, 24, of
Honduras, is accused of opening fire on the store owner of
Aaron Beer Distributor. The shooting happened on Saturday around
9:15 p.m. when a confrontation ensued between the store owner,
Quintanilla and another man over beer that was allegedly stolen
earlier in the day. “The victims is lucky to be alive,” said Upper
Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood of the victim who was
allegedly shot by Quintanilla. The
store owner was shot in the face and arm but is
recovering at the hospital. Quintanilla is in the United
States illegally and was arrested by the U.S. Border Patrol
back on Feb. 25, 2015. He was supposed to be deported back
to Honduras in March 6, 2015, said Chitwood.

DEL MAR (NEWS 8/CNS) - A man wounded in a deputy-involved-shooting
at the ticket window of the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club was publicly
identified and remained hospitalized Monday. Daniel Elizarraras, 22, of Escondido had stable vital signs at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla and was expected to survive. Rapper Ice Cube was set to perform and Elizarraras wanted to buy a ticket to the concert. After being denied entranced to the concert, Elizarraras fired a gun into the air. "He put his gun in the air, shot three times. He was kind of walking in a circle." Deputies tased the Elizarraras and then opened fire on him when tasing him did not work. |

ALBUQUERQUE – Police arrested a suspected carjacker who apparently
made a poor choice of potential victims. Albuquerque officers booked
20-year-old Angelo Martinez after the attempted
robbery last week. The football players said they saw Martinez
hanging around the Loma Linda Community Center football field, but
had no idea who he was. When they walked to their car, one of
the players said Martinez was “acting sketchy as if he was trying to
get in.”Several members of the team finally agreed to give him a ride, but said he kept changing his mind about his destination. After the football players finally pulled over in front of a home along Girard SE in Albuquerque, Martinez allegedly pulled out a gun and ordered them out of the car. The men got out, but when they saw Martinez fumble with the gun, one of the players got back in the car and struck him in the face. The rest of the football players then jumped on Martinez and restrained him until police arrived. The gun wasn’t real, but Martinez was also carrying a knife and a note reading “Give me the keys to your wip and a nobody get heart. I know where you live so don’t make me kill.” |

The pastor of the largest Catholic parish in Bridgeport,
Conn., has resigned the priesthood rather than undergo treatment.
The Rev. Frank Gomez had been put on leave from St.
Charles Borromeo Church amid accusations that he texted children and
gave them gifts without their parents’ knowledge. While the text
messages were not sexual, their frequency landed Gomez in hot water
amid revelations of child abuse committed by Catholic priests.
Officials from the Diocese of Bridgeport said he made physical
contact that was not sexual but made people “uncomfortable.”Bishop Frank Caggiano said Gomez was accused of “serious boundary violations” but nothing “illegal or immoral.” |
