contractor's homicide  KANSAS
CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Police Department has released
surveillance footage of the person of interest in the Tuesday murder
of Johnathon Porter. Porter
was working at a construction site near 9th and Brooklyn when he was
killed.Family members said the man walked up and asked Porter for a cigarette. When Porter didn't have one, that's when they say the man started shooting. Porter, 23 of Appleton City, had just started working with that crew to help support his fiancè and unborn child. The person of interest in this case is described as a man approximately 25 to 30 years old. He was wearing a dark colored hoodie and gray pants at the time of that incident. He was last seen leaving the area on foot, traveling in a northeast direction. Anyone with information on this person, or this incident, is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS The subject of interest was described by police as a black male between 25 and 30 years old. He was last seen in the area of the shooting. He left heading in the northeast direction and was wearing a dark sweatshirt and gray pants, police said. Greenville man convicted on Thursday of second-degree murder in the
2015 stabbing death of a man who had Asperger’s
syndrome has been sentenced to 31 years in
prison.Michael O’Neal, 24, was found guilty in the death of Steven Joseph Rouse, 22. O’Neal also was ordered to pay $5,000 to Rouse’s family. Rouse was stabbed repeatedly during an altercation in a field near his home in the Park West apartments near the medical district. He collapsed on the pavement near a loading dock of a Walmart Neighborhood Market. He was pronounced dead a short time later at Vidant Medical Center. O’Neal testified that he stabbed Rouse in self defense after Rouse threatened him and a friend with a knife. The dispute arose over what O’Neal described as Rouse’s harassment of O’Neal’s girlfriend. Three other co-defendants in the case — Curtis Wade, Taylor and Chenitra Gramby — are awaiting trial. that claimed the life of Minnesota-based commercial beekeeper, Nolan
Leo Majeski, who had been in Harrison County on a
business trip, tending to his local beehive establishment.“Jarred Dajohn Wilmore, of Fort Worth, was arrested yesterday on the charge of fail to stop and render aid-resulting in death,” Department of Public Safety spokesperson, Sgt. student not come to school on a particular day because he was going
to be shooting up Monsignor Bonner and Archbishop Prendergast High
School in Drexel Hill. He allegedly immediately told the kid,

indecent exposure suspect twice, she decided to do something about
it. Now her Facebook post has helped investigators identify a
suspect. Her name is Bella, and she tells Eyewitness News she took
matters into her own hands by gathering stories and pictures from
other women who saw the same suspect, posting everything on
Facebook. "I can't believe I got awareness out so much that it
reached the news reporters and actually something is being done
about it," Bella said. Facebook users acting as investigators
tracked down a man named Alonzo Curry. They contacted the
professional investigators at the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
Now deputies say Curry is wanted in an indecent exposure
investigation. |

- Police released disturbing video of a slashing that happened right
under the marquee of the

appears to be a random attack. The incident happened just after 8
p.m. Monday, as authorities say the 48-year-old
victim was walking along the sidewalk. The video
shows just how random it was and how quickly it happened. The
suspect, wearing pants, can be seen in front of the Apollo Theater.
He passes the victim, takes a razor blade out of his mouth, goes
back and slashes her across the right side of her face from behind.
The attack was so bad the victim had to spend two days at Harlem

Burger Kang Order Leads To Boon Brawl At Arundel Mills Mall
 HANOVER,
Md. (WJZ) — Police took two suspects into custody following a fight
involving more than 20 people at the Arundel Mills Mall food court
that reportedly started after a problem with a Burger King order.
Anne Arundel County Police were called just after 7 p.m. on Sunday
about a large fight at the mall. Officers met with mall security,
who had two people in custody. One of the suspects, Rashdee
Mumuni, was shirtless and screaming racial slurs at one
of the security officers when officers arrived. Police say Nykeisha
Jones was seen “wildly” swinging and chasing someone. She has
been charged with assault and disorderly conduct. |

Miller’s attorney says it was self-defense. Spencer was killed at his home early on the morning of Sept. 21, after inviting Miller to his house to play guitar. Spencer, a film editor from Los Angeles, had moved to Austin in 2014. The two men had been drinking, and Miller told officials he thought Spencer was coming on to him. Miller testified that he told Spencer he was not gay and tried to leave and then Spencer started yelling at him and waving his hands. When asked if they fought, Miller said no. Prosecutors said because Spencer did not touch Miller or state any intention to hurt him, the notion that he used deadly force for self-defense was “ludicrous.” Prosecutor Matthew Foye said the facts that Spencer was stabbed in the back and that Miller showed no sign of harm on his body the day of the slaying prove it was not self-defense. finds (black) Michigan man guilty of murder (of innocent White
man) in 2016 Salem pot robbery   After
11 days of testimony and arguments, a Marion County jury unanimously
found Denzel Hawthorne guilty of murdering a Salem father
during a bungled pot robbery and home invasion. Hawthorne, 24,
of Detroit, Michigan, was found guilty of all but one charge against
him Monday. In an 11 to one split, the jury found him not guilty of
the most serious charge of aggravated murder. He was instead
convicted of the lesser charge of murder. Hawthorne was
accused of intentionally killing Brett
White, 44, his drug dealer's father, in August 2016.
The day before the shooting, Hawthorne and his college football
teammate, 22-year-old Eloy Carrera Jr., drove 29
hours from North Dakota to Salem to collect on a drug debt from
Brett White's son, William White. William had previously
sold Hawthorne marijuana. The pair even met up in Salem for a drug
deal, according to court records. William began sending pot through
the mail but had shorted Hawthorne on one delivery and failed to

in the face on Thanksgiving morning has pleaded guilty. As
part of the plea, Lavoris Hightower, 36, was given an eight
year sentence for the shooting of Ellie
Richardson. He was charged with two counts of felonious assault, attempted murder, having weapons under disability and tampering with evidence, but police have not said what charges he pleaded guilty to. Richardson was shot in the face after she closed up and left the bar. Hightower nearly hit her with his vehicle and then opened fire on her after she argued with someone in a van, police said. Richardson faced surgeries after the shooting, but is now home, according to her recovery Facebook page. in a backyard garage on Monday. The woman was 29-year-old Cheyenne

Dante Beckford, 40, who was taken into custody on Monday and
is facing a second-degree murder charge.Records also show that Beckford, 40, is facing other charges of aggravated assault, possession of crack cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Beckford boasted to residents about being violent and having guns. He then showed them a body inside a storage tote, later identified as Snyder. Beckford and Snyder had only known each other for about a week, Halstead said. Beckford allowed people with drug addictions to stay at his home, which belonged to his mother before she died in January 2018. Beckford, Halstead said, admitted to killing her after she allegedly made a "mess" in the house. It’s unclear how Beckford, a felon, was able to get a handgun. (black) Teen Arrested In Robbery, Fingerprint Found At Murder
Scene - white 'getaway' driver shot dead  LEXINGTON,
Ky. (LEX 18)-- A teen has been arrested as the suspect in an armed
robbery, and now police believe he may be connected to a homicide
that took place the same day. The robbery occurred around 2:54
a.m. April 3 at the Minit Mart on Towne Center Drive.
18-year-old Anwar Ricketts is accused of brandishing a
firearm, stealing around $260 in cash, and fleeing the business in a
getaway vehicle.Later that morning, police were called to the scene of a homicide on Devonport Drive. The victim, Christian Cubert, was believed to be shot while inside his vehicle. Detectives were able to recover a fingerprint from the exterior passenger's side rear door, which was later confirmed to belong to Ricketts. Upon further investigation and review of surveillance footage, Ricketts was developed as the possible robbery suspect and the driver of the getaway vehicle was identified as Cubert. A warrant for Ricketts' cell phone records was issued and revealed that he was in the area just prior to the robbery. |

(KDKA) – A man is facing charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a
teenage co-worker at a Washington County Subway restaurant.
According to police, the incident happened on April 16 at the

Monongahela. The victim told police Christopher Rosario, 25,
pulled her into the bathroom and sexually assaulted her. Rosario is
facing a list of charges including rape forcible compulsion,

another teenager to perform sex acts on him while riding the school
bus. Sy Alexander Ayoung, 17, of Mebane, has been jailed
under a $100,000 secured bond on charges of second-degree forcible
sexual offense, crime against nature and sexual battery. The
suspect attends Eastern Alamance High School and is accused of
sexually assaulting the victim multiple times from January of this
year to April. The victim told investigators that she
was forced multiple times to perform sexual acts on
the suspect while the two were on the bus. |

An indictment from Lauderdale County accuses Todd of repeatedly hitting, kicking or stomping Coleman. Todd is also charged with hitting or shoving a woman and marijuana possession. Reginald Hester, 53, had been terminally ill and had been
transferred days ago to Stroger Hospital, where he died Tuesday

County sheriff's office. He was facing trial on four counts of
first-degree murder and two counts of aggravated arson and bodily
harm stemming from the fire in August of 2016 in the 8100 block of
South Essex Avenue in the South Chicago neighborhood.Hester had confessed to starting the fire at two spots in the courtyard apartment building early in the morning of Aug. 23 after a woman who lived there agreed to have sex for $10, took his money and reneged on the deal. Three sisters — 3-month-old Melanie Watson, 4-year-old Madison Watson and 7-year-old Shaniya Staples — and a next-door neighbor, Kirk Johnson, 56, died when the fire spread quickly through the two top floors of the building, officials said. |

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — IMPD confirms a 24-year-old man is in custody
for the 2016 murder of an Indianapolis woman.Jessica Whitehouse, 30, was shot and killed in early November 2016 inside her home in the 4300 block of North Norwaldo Avenue in a neighborhood just north of the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Her boyfriend found her, but police didn't find the killer. For more than a year, Jessie's family has been hanging flyers and raising reward money to solve the case. Her stepfather posted on Facebook Sunday afternoon that police now have a suspect in custody. IMPD later confirmed detectives arrested Lawon Browning Saturday, and is currently in custody for Whitehouse's murder. Jessie's mother says news of the arrest has brought relief, but also pain. "It's been very difficult. For the last year and a half I feel like I have been in a nightmare that I would wake up from," Anna Whitehouse said. "And this has pretty much solidified that I am not waking up from it. It's real." Man attempts to kidnap 2 women in north Houston, constable says

- A man attempted to kidnap two women in north Houston Saturday, the
Harris County Precinct 4 office said. Witnesses told
investigators that the man assaulted one of the victims and
attempted to force her into his vehicle. "We were going to the store
when we saw a young lady run out in front of a garbage truck," said
witness Larry Whitfield. "She was screaming and hollering, 'Help
me! help me! help me!'" She was able to break free, but was badly injured, investigators said. The other victim, Luz Baena, was riding her bicycle when she said she noticed a gray car driving close to her. Baena, 55, said she survived being kidnapped. “He threw the bicycle and I said, what do you want from me and I panicked,” Baena said. “I said, what do you want? You can have the bicycle and he said, 'No, I want you.'” Baena said the man grabbed her arm, forced her into his car and drove approximately two blocks. “I’m thinking he’s going to kill me. No, no, no. I need to do something. I don’t want to die now,” Baena said. She said when she noticed the driver getting close to a group of people she jumped out of the accelerating car. Baena was treated at a hospital for broken bones in her face, a black eye, and bruises on her arms and leg. “My knees. Everything (is) painful, painful. But thank you God I’m still alive," she said. Officials said the assailant is described as a black man in his early 20s with a thin build, approximately 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, bald and clean-shaven. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and khaki pants. His vehicle is described as a dark gray four-door Camry with front right damage and varying rims, according to investigators. |

parking lot MEMPHIS,
Tenn. — Police have arrested a man they say raped a woman and then
abandoned her in a parking lot back in June. The victim was walking
home on Lamar Avenue when Brandon Smith reportedly pulled up
next to her and asked if she needed a ride. She said she got into
the car and told him where she lived, but he didn’t follow her
directions. Instead, he started driving in the wrong direction.
Several minutes later, Smith allegedly turned down a side street and
stopped in the parking lot. He then climbed on top of her and raped

(WLS) -- A man has been charged after police said he sexually
assaulted a woman inside her Lakeview apartment last week. The
sexual assault took place in the 3900-block of North Fremont Street
at about 9 p.m. on April 19. Police said 29-year-old Terrence
Wright of Markham, Ill., followed a 24-year-old woman,
grabbed her from behind, choked her and then sexually assaulted her
and then took property from her. Wright was arrested and has been
charged with one count of aggravated criminal sexual assault.
Wright, a convicted felon, was denied bond. |

and Brown Avenue after receiving reports of a robbery in the area.
The victim told officers that he was standing in line behind an

Four Chinese nationals are among 10 new defendants who were
indicted in a widening probe of fentanyl shipments from China to the
United States that resulted in the deaths
of four people and multiple overdoses, the
Department of Justice said Friday. In October, the Justice
Department unsealed an indictment in the Northern District of North
Dakota against Jian Zhang. The indictment charged Mr.
Zhang and three other Chinese nationals with engaging in a
