Worthless Negro pleads guilty in 2014 murder of (White) Indianapolis Police Officer Perry Renn INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis man will spend the rest of his life in prison without the possibility of parole for the murder of IMPD Officer Perry Renn. Under a plea agreement entered in court Friday, Major Davis II avoids the death penalty but will serve a life sentence. Marion Prosecutor Terry Curry says his office struck a deal to avoid a prolonged timeline in a case that has already taken several twists and turns. In October, a judge found Davis was not mentally competent to stand trial. “Given the relatively young age of the defendant, the obvious mental health issues – it was certain that it was no longer appropriate as a death penalty case,” Curry said. Following the July 2014 fatal shooting death of Officer Perry Renn, Davis frequently fought with his attorneys and tried to file motions on his own behalf. After being found incompetent to stand trial in October, his defense attorneys at the time said he suffered from paranoia and delusions. But following psychiatric treatments at a state-run facility, Davis was found competent to stand trial in February of this year. That’s when, Curry says, talks with Davis’ attorneys began in earnest to discuss a possible plea agreement. All the while, Curry says, he kept Perry Renn’s widow, Lynn, abreast of the proceedings. “We had frequent conversations with them to keep them aprised along the way. Again, without going into too much substance – this resolution is something that Lynn Renn would like to have seen from day one,” Curry said. He will be sentenced on April 27. - (Black-on-white) |

The charges stem from a series of emails that were received on campus containing anti-Muslim messages and threats of potential violence against members of the Muslim community, according to the university. The first report of the emails occurred on March 8. The messages specifically mentioned Hussain as a target. The university on Friday said Hussain had been notified recently by Provost Mike Licari that he would not be reappointed to his faculty position beyond the 2017-18 academic year due to his inability to fulfill the conditions of his original appointment. “Based upon the investigation, it is our belief that Hussain was trying to gain sympathy by becoming a victim of anti-Muslim threats, which he had created himself,” said Joseph Newport, ISU's chief of police. |

(Evil black) Man serving time for rape, kidnapping seeks freedom SHELBY, N.C. - A woman was raped, kidnapped and forced into the woods, then shot, and now the ringleader of that disturbing crime is asking for a new sentence because he was only 16 years old at the time. The 1997 crime comitted by Travis McCord stunned and frightened people in Shelby. "It was such a horrendous thing that happened,” resident Shiela Hyslip said. “Nothing like that happened in a long time, or as far as I remember, any time." McCord and three codefendants forced their way into a woman's motel room and robbed her at gunpoint. McCord then raped her. She was bound and driven to a secluded road in Cleveland County. McCord shot her and forced the co-defendants to shoot her, too, according to court documents. Hyslip lived near that hotel and said people in town won't forget that crime. "Everybody was concerned,” she said. “They started locking their doors. They started walking their children home from school." She said some people bought guns. She was disappointed that McCord wants to get out of his life sentence and out of prison. "He should serve his time,” she said. “He shouldn't even have a chance to argue about it." - (Black-on-white) |

Guilty plea in fatal New Year’s Eve drunk driving crash ST. LOUIS – A grieving St. Louis family says they want closure more than justice after a drunk driver killed their young son on New Year's Eve two years ago. The suspect, 28-year-old Willie Green III of Fairview Heights, pleaded guilty Thursday morning to five counts: one count of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of armed criminal action, one count of second-degree assault, and one count of leaving the scene. Xander Wohlstadter was heading west on Chouteau on December 31, 2014 when police said Green, who was speeding while intoxicated, was traveling north on Jefferson and failed to stop at the red light. The crash killed the 20-year-old Wholstader and seriously injured his then 16-year-old girlfriend, Emma Casey. Wohlstadter's parents described their son as someone who was always smiling, joyful, happy-go-lucky, and a friend to everyone. "He was so smart and I miss that, and that's part of what I grieve," said Michael Wohlstadter, Xander’s father. "What an easy kid he was to raise," said Beth Lewandowski, Xander's mother. "He had such a good disposition. He was like a Zen master, he was very calm." Casey was one of many who showed up at Thursday's hearing. She said it was hard to look at Green because all she felt was anger. Casey's injuries were so severe that the now 19-year-old went through several months of therapy and rehabilitation, which included learning how to write, speak, and walk again. "I wanted him to look at me and to see the face of his crime," said Casey. "He wasn't put in jail," Wohlstadter said. "I was hoping that his bond would have been revoked, I was at least hoping for that." Wohlstadter's parents said that no matter what the punishment, it won't bring their son back nor will it heal the wounds. "I want closure, but until he's actually been made accountable for what he did, I don't know if I can get to that point of closure," he continued. "I don't want to have to think about the criminal case again. because it's just too painful," said Lewandowski. "I want to close the door on that and not have to open it up again." Green is scheduled to appear for sentencing July 23. - (Black-on-white) |

African-american Suspect arrested for setting (White) Denny's customer on fire HAPPY VALLEY, Ore. -- A man suspected of setting another person on fire at a Happy Valley Denny's restaurant was arrested Thursday evening. The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office tweeted "We got him!" Thursday night. The suspect was identified as 24-year-old Deshaun James Swanger. He was arrested at a transitional home, located at Southeast 80th Avenue and Sunnyside Drive, just a few blocks away from the restaurant. A neighbor called in a tip to the sheriff's office and told deputies he believed the man they were looking for was Swanger and that he lived at the transitional house with about 18 people. The neighbor said he used to live at the home with Swanger and was surprised by the allegations. "He was really quiet...he stayed to himself," the neighbor said of Swanger. Deputies said that on Wednesday evening, Swanger walked into the restaurant, located at 12101 Southeast 82nd Avenue, at about 9 p.m., sat down, threw gasoline on the customer, then lit the victim on fire with a book of matches. The victim's family identified him as 69-year-old Scott Ranstrom. He is in critical condition at Legacy Emanuel hospital. “His face was like this big and he’s a skinny guy. And all red, and horrible-looking, burnt to a crisp. He was burnt to a crisp," Ranstrom's sister said. "They did that to my big brother. I don’t think I’ll ever get over it. It’s not fair.” His family has set up a GoFundMe page to pay for his medical expenses. Deputies said Swanger and Ranstrom did not know each other. Detectives are looking into the possibility that this case is related to another incident earlier this week, in which a person threw gasoline on a stranger at the Clackamas Town Center movie theater. - (Black-on-white) - (Burned Alive!) |
