COLD CASE: DNA under the fingernails of a White 81-year-old strangled woman points to black POS convict   In 1987, several days after pleading guilty to a string of burglaries in St. Paul’s Macalester-Groveland neighborhood — and being released from jail a day later — Michael Withers broke into an elderly woman’s home and killed her, police said. The 30-year-old cold case, which led to the filing of charges against Withers on Thursday, was solved after additional DNA testing of the fingernails of the victim, Lillian Kuller, 81, a vivacious and refined former Ziegfeld Follies dancer, who had lived in her home at 1290 Goodrich Ave. for decades. Withers, 58, who is in prison for burglarizing a pair of homes in 2013, a mile or so from where Kuller lived, was charged in Ramsey County District Court with two counts of second-degree murder for the crime. He was scheduled to finish serving the 2013 burglary sentence in October. Lillian Kuller was born in Chicago and as a young woman joined the Ziegfeld Follies as a chorus dancer, where she often hobnobbed with celebrities. She met her husband, Nate Kuller, backstage at one of the troupe’s performances in the Twin Cities in the 1930s. - (Black-on-white) |

Update: $1M bond for (black) man in case of (White) babysitter’s shooting death  A federally convicted man and his girlfriend have been formally charged in the shooting death of 20-year-old Taylor Brandenburg outside a Huffman Avenue residence early Sunday morning. A judge set Chuckie Lee’s bond at $1 million in connection with murder charges. Lee, 38, was formally charged with two counts of murder, two counts of felonious assault, two counts of having weapons under disability and one count off discharge of a firearm on or near prohibited premises. Many charges also include 3-year firearm specifications. No plea was entered at Thursday’s video arraignment from Montgomery County Jail. The victim’s family did not appear in court. Lee’s next court date is scheduled for March 23. Prosecutors also have charged Chuckie Lee’s girlfriend — Kara Parisi-King, 26, — for assisting him with a semi automatic pistol that they say was used in the shooting. Police have issued an arrest warrant for Parisi-King, who they say has fled the area, according to an affidavit filed in Dayton Municipal Court. The charges filed against Parisi-King include complicity to commit two counts murder; complicity to commit two counts felonious assault; and complicity to commit discharge of a firearm over prohibited premises. - (Black-on-white) |

GBI arrests three (black) suspects in shooting death of (White) U.S. Marshal     ALLENHURST, Ga. - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has arrested three people in the shooting death of a U.S. Marshal. Patrick Thomas Carothers was part of a team executing a search warrant for a fugitive out of South Carolina when when he was killed on November 18, 2016. Dontrell Montese Carter was wanted for attempted murder of police officers, domestic violence, and unlawfully discharging a weapon during an incident in September 2016 in Sumter County, South Carolina. The Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force had tracked Carter to a residence in Allenhurst, Georgia located in Long County. At the residence where Carter was hiding, law enforcement also made contact and interviewed Ashley Chavon Roberts, Jeremy Lance Lewis and Levy Lewis Jenkins. The investigation into Carothers’ murder found the three committed acts which hindered Carter’s capture. As a result, Roberts, 24, Jenkins, 34, and Lewis, 32, have each been charged with one count of Hindering Apprehension or Punishment of Criminal (felony) and one count of Felony Murder in Carothers’ death. Carothers was a 26-year veteran of the U.S. Marshals Service and deputy commander of its Southeast Regional Task Force. - (Black-on-white) |

Black man receives 30 years for rape of 10-year-old girl  A Little Rock man was sentenced to 30 years in prison Tuesday after pleading guilty to the 2015 rape of a 10-year-old girl in Hot Springs. Derek Sean Johninson, 43, who was set to stand trial March 27, appeared before Garland County Circuit Court Judge Marcia Hearnsberger to enter his plea to the felony charge, punishable by up to life in prison, and in addition to prison time was ordered to register as a sex offender and pay a $250 registration fee. The victim was complaining of pain in her privates. The lab reported results indicating the presence of semen and blood in the victim's underwear. |

Sam Lee Smith, 21, of Fort Smith is facing felony rape of a child by sexual intercourse. A father reported Monday (March 6) that Smith was having an inappropriate relationship with his young daughter. He told police Campbell attempted to entice his daughter to run away from home and he’d hide her until she turned 18, an arrest report states. |

Shannon Maurice Smith Jr., 23, was previously charged in connection with stealing the victim's car. Goose Creek police said a murder warrant issued Wednesday for Smith's arrest represents a "significant milestone" in the homicide investigation that began Feb. 27. Smith, who goes by the alias Marquis Owens, is jailed on local charges in St. Peters, Mo., while authorities apply for his extradition. Officers were alerted to trouble when 68-year-old Michael Mullikin's daughter reported him missing the night of Feb. 27. She noted that his car was gone from the home at 469 Madeline Drive. 2 Detroit police officers injured in shooting; (black) suspect in custody DETROIT - Detroit police have arrested a man suspected of shooting two police officers Wednesday night. The suspect, Raymond Durham, was arrested in the area of Michigan and Vinewood at 11 p.m. The 60-year-old is suspected of shooting two officers at 8:15 p.m. in the area of Ash and Tillmon on the city's west side. The officers were conducting a narcotics investigation when they approached a man who was "acting fidgety," Police Chief James Craig said. The man pulled out a gun and fired before the officers returned fire, Craig said. One officer was shot in the neck, but is expected to recover. The second officer wounded twice in the upper torso but saved by a protective vest. He was also shot in the ankle but the wound is not considered life threatening, Chief James Craig said. |

(Black) 16-year-old charged with rape in Fayetteville FAYETTEVILLE, North Carolina -- Police in Fayetteville have charged a 16-year-old in a February 25 rape investigation. Omari Isaiah Merida is being held under a $200,000 bond at the Cumberland County Detention Center. Investigators said he was an acquaintance of the victim. Merida is charged with two counts of second-degree rape, attempted second-degree rape, two counts of first-degree kidnapping, and one count of second-degree sexual offense. |
Jiggaboo Jarrel raped, strangled victim in domestic incident  Auburn, N.Y. -- Auburn police have arrested a man for raping and strangling a victim during a domestic incident on Wednesday. Police said they were called at about 4:38 p.m on a report of a domestic incident. Their investigation found that the victim had been strangled, raped and was prevented from calling 911 for help, police said. The victim went to Auburn Community Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries and was treated and released, police said. Jarrel J. Whiten, 24, of Auburn, was charged by police with first-degree rape and second-degree strangulation, both are felonies. He is also charged with the misdemeanors of third-degree menacing and two counts of fourth-degree mischief. |

The suspect first targeted a 67-year-old woman near 650 Water St. around 7:30 a.m. when he snatched her purse, which contained $20 and her cell phone, and tossed her to the ground. His second victim, a 34-year-old woman, was attacked in a stairwell near East Broadway and Catherine Street around 8:30 a.m. the same day. The victim told police that he grabbed her purse, containing $400 in cash, credit cards and her cell phone, before throwing her to the ground and fleeing. |

Homeowner fatally shoots (black) home invasion spook, (defiled white female) coalburner arrested  BERKELEY COUNTY, SC - Police say a fatal shooting Tuesday night at a Moncks Corner home was justified because the homeowner was protecting his family from a home invasion. Police Chief Rick Ollic told reporters Wednesday afternoon their investigation revealed a man the Berkeley County Coroner identified as Elijah A. White, Jr., 30, forced his way into a home on Post Oak Court off Highway 52. White was armed with a handgun and wearing a mask and gloves, he said. "We also retrieved from him rope, which I believe he was going to tie up the victims if he got into the residence, so there was no doubt he was there to do some serious harm to this family," Ollic said. The homeowner fired his gun when White burst into the home, fatally striking him, Ollic said. Police also arrested a woman they say went to the door posing as a representative of a homeowner's association and was wearing a fake badge that read, "HOA." Juanita Marie English is charged with first-degree burglary and criminal conspiracy, Ollic said. She was in bond court Wednesday night where she received a $125,000 bond. Ollic was also present during the bond court hearing and told the judge that he believes English is a "threat to society." "[The victims] are absolutely traumatized," Ollic told the judge."The female victim, it's unbelievable what she went through last night." |
KC mammy of five charged with child abuse is accused of hitting daughter in head "and butt" with metal dog chain KANSAS CITY, Mo., -- Kansas City Police arrested Shadell Jackson, 34, this week for allegedly hitting her 14-year-old daughter with a metal dog chain in the head and butt during an argument. A police report states the incident happened on September 7, 2016 at Jackson's home on the 3000 block of Tracy Avenue. Multiple witnesses told police Jackson struck her daughter at least four times in her head, shoving her down, and hitting her. The report states when police arrived to Jackson's home they discovered it to be in very bad shape. There was no food, and smelled of fecal matter. Animal Control officers removed 10 dogs from the home that night. |

The second incident took place nearly two hours later at a food truck in the 3400 block of Lancaster Avenue. Police say the suspect entered the food truck from the rear and stuck a gun to the victim’s neck, demanding cash. The suspect made off with an unknown amount of money and was last seen heading east through Lancaster Walk. There were no injuries reported in either incident. The suspect is described as a 5-foot-8 black man, wearing a black jacket, red-hooded sweatshirt – possibly True Religion brand with a print of Buddha on the center of the chest – and red pants. |
Forrest City homicide suspect threatens witness in Fayetteville, police say  FAYETTEVILLE -- A suspect in a Forrest City shooting death was arrested here late Wednesday after police said he punched and threatened to kill a witness for cooperating with investigators, according to a preliminary police report. Bruce Heard, 25, of 128 Eula Ave. in Forrest City was arrested on Curtis Avenue in connection with intimidating a witness, first-degree terroristic threatening, third-degree domestic battery and endangering the welfare of a minor. He also is wanted in connection with first-degree murder, said Lt. Eric Varner, an investigator with the Forrest City Police Department. |
Reward offered for three feral Negroes who beat dog with bricks in Cleveland   CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Cleveland Animal Protective League is working to track down three people who beat a dog with bricks on Cleveland's East Side. The white and tan bully-boxer mix, who rescue workers named "Indiana Bones", has been under veterinarian care since the March 9 incident at East 111th Street and Superior Avenue, Cleveland APL CEO Sharon Harvey said. Veterinarians believe the dog was struck by a car before it was attacked. A witness spotted three males at the intersection about 1 p.m. They took turns kicking the dog and beating it with sticks and bricks, Harvey said. The trio ran when they learned police were on the way. "It's sad to start with, then you see the incredibly sweet nature of this dog -- and to think anyone could think of doing something so brutal is heartbreaking," Harvey said. The APL is offering a $500 reward for anyone that provides information that leads to the apprehension of those involved. The males were described as black and between 16 and 20 years of age. One wore a black hoodie with a Nike logo and sweatpants, another wore a gray hat and North Face fleece, and the third wore a khaki hoodie and jeans, Harvey said. "Indiana Bones" will soon undergo a few surgeries to repair injuries suffered during the beating. "We're going to do everything we need to do to fix him and find him a new home," Harvey said. |

Widow Breaks Down on Stand in Deadly Mall Carjacking Trial    The widow of a young New Jersey attorney who was killed in a carjacking at the Short Hills mall in 2013 testified Wednesday about the sudden ambush and the harrowing wait for help as she watched her husband bleed. Jamie Friedland gave the emotional testimony at the trial of the alleged getaway driver, Basim Henry, who already confessed to police his involvement in the December 2013 shooting, according to prosecutors. The accused gunman's trial has not yet started. Hanif Thompson, of Irvington, and Newark residents Karif Ford, Basim Henry and Kevin Roberts have pleaded not guilty to felony murder and other charges in connection with the carjacking. Jamie and Dustin Friedland met at Syracuse Law School and married two years before he was killed. The couple lived in Hoboken at the time. |

Hispanic and black charged with brutal carjacking of White 73-year-old woman KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A Kansas City teenager is behind bars, charged in connection with a violent weekend carjacking that left a Northland grandmother in critical condition. Esteban Montes, Jr., 17, is now in jail, charged by Clay County prosecutors with robbery and tampering with a motor vehicle. The victim, 73-year-old Janet Wilson, is still fighting for her life at St. Luke’s Hospital. She remains in the ICU, but her family says her status is now stable. “It makes me very angry,” Wilson’s daughter, Heather Kirkpatrick, said. “She`s probably 98 pounds, 5-foot tall, very little frail 73-year-old.” Prosecutors said they have also arrested two other teenage boys who are expected to be criminally charged in coming days. A second (black) suspect, Stephon Sanders, 18, has also been charged. Sanders faces felony robbery in the case. |

A letter was sent to parents in the Lee's Summit School District Wednesday afternoon warning that charges were being filed against a former district teacher who worked at Lee's Summit North High School, Lee's Summit High School, and Pleasant Lea Middle School. This case was investigated by the Lee's Summit Police Department and was reported to authorities by district employees. Employees said the victim in this case was a high school student. Ji told police he has been living in the United States for the last five years. He is in the US on a work visa from China. Ji started teaching Chinese in the Lee's Summit School District in August 2016. The suspect admitted to exchanging nude photos with the victim. During an interview with investigators, Ji said he knew that it was wrong and illegal to be in a relationship with the victim. |

(White) Altamonte Springs woman sells wedding ring for husband's medical bills, (black)  When Megan Starich showed up to exchange her treasured wedding ring for several thousand dollars, she thought she had done everything right. She decided to sell the $5,000 ring to help pay for her husband’s medical bills, which stemmed from a 15-foot fall at work. “My husband fell 15 feet onto his head, onto a concrete floor,” she said. “(He) suffered 21 skull fractures, brain hemorrhaging (and) brain swelling.” With the bills for his care, a special needs child at home and being on disability herself, Starich and her family made the difficult decision to sell the ring. “For us, you know, family is forever and diamonds are not,” she said. Starich listed the ring on a for-sale-by-owner site online and arranged to meet a potential buyer. She showed up with another person and wasn’t going to hand over the ring until she was holding the cash. Alabama black charged with sex abuse of a child, held on $120,000 bond A 32-year-old man is behind bars in Tuscaloosa County, accused of sexually abusing a child. Daundre Freeman was taken into custody Saturday, according to Tuscaloosa County Jail records. He is being held on $120,000 bond. A grand jury indicted Freeman in February, but that indictment wasn't made public until Monday. He is charged with sex abuse of a child under the age of 12, according to the indictment, but court records don't provide further details. |
Jiggaboo Javonta Jermel recorded hims raping woman at gunpoint will spend life in cage  Lake Charles - Javonta Harrison, who recorded video of himself raping a woman at gunpoint, will spend the rest of his life in prison. In state district court Wednesday, Harrison was sentenced to life in prison for aggravated rape, 104 years for armed robbery with a firearm and 30 years for aggravated burglary. In a letter to the court, the victim called Harrison the devil himself and told how he ruined her life. She said Harrison shows no remorse for his crime or that her young daughter was in the next room. But for the victim coming forward, Harrison would never have gone to trial, During the trial, the eight minutes of cell phone video of the crime was played for jurors. Judge Guy Bradberry called her the bravest and most courageous victim he's ever seen in court and expressed hope that she will one day find peace. |
Snake saves Lehigh woman from negroid rape LEHIGH ACRES, FL - A Lee County woman says she was choked, unconscious, and undressed by a man who tried to rape her in her own home. The man may have got away with it had there not been a snake in the woman's bathroom just minutes before. The Lehigh Acres woman called Lee County deputies on Friday after she found a snake in her bathroom. Reports say shortly after, 28-year-old Malcolm Porter came up behind her and grabbed her by the neck. She told deputies he choked her and demanded she had sex with him. Porter took off the woman's underwear and threatened to kill her. The victim told Porter to get condoms from another room. When he got off her, she ran outside to deputies responding to the snake call. "Blessing in disguise that that happened," Soeder said. |
Black sentenced to 25 years for lewd acts on SF Bay Area 'Rapid Transit' trains SAN MATEO COUNTY - A 53-year-old registered sex offender charged with multiple felonies for lewd acts on BART has been sentenced to 25 years in prison. The case stems from three incidents back in the spring of 2015. On April 22, 2015, Jerome Dion Dawkins blocked a 24-year-old woman in a seat on a BART train in Daly City, then masturbated while staring at her. Then about two weeks later, a female victim was on a train at the San Francisco International Airport BART station when Dawkins called for her to look at him while he masturbated. The victim started to cry and Dawkins then moved to sit next to her. When she got up to go to another seat, Dawkins followed her, touched her leg and told her that he was going to make her pregnant. The victim escaped him by getting off the train. The next day Dawkins exposed himself again, this time to a 24-year-old woman on BART. Police were called to the scene, and he was taken into custody |

South Bend Police received a call from a business in the 4400 block of Western Avenue to report a man had exposed himself to a female employee. When police arrived, they located James Lockhart in a vehicle in the parking lot. Lockhart was identified as the suspect, according to police. Lockhart was arrested on one count of public indecency. |
(Black female) arrested for Taco Bell hot grease assault  The Enterprise Police Department has made an arrest in the assault of an employee at the Taco Bell restaurant in Enterprise. On March 11, EPD officers responded to Taco Bell on an assault call. The officers discovered that two Taco Bell employees were involved in a verbal altercation. During this altercation, the suspect threw hot grease on the victim. The victim received medical treatment for burns to her face, neck, and chest. The suspect fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival. Today EPD detectives arrested and charged Vermillion Dionne Dailey, 36, of Enterprise with first-degree assault. Dailey was transported to the Coffee County Jail after arrest. |
Arkansas caged negro monkey chucked cup of urine at guards  An inmate at the Pulaski County jail faces a new charge after he lobbed a cup of urine at two corrections officers Tuesday night, police said. Two deputies were removing trash from the cell of 28-year-old Jeremy Richardson of Little Rock around 11 p.m., according to a police report. While they were in the cell, Richardson threw a cup of yellow liquid "that looked and smelled like urine" at the officials, authorities said. The liquid reportedly hit one of the deputies in the face. |

The 27-year-old woman told cops she was home with her 4-year-old and 9-month-old children around 7 p.m. when she heard knocking on her door at 1230 Fulton Ave. and went to see who was there. Monkeyshines at East Oakland carnival (in African American neighborhood) caught on camera - feral negro youth out of control San Francisco Bay Area - OAKLAND — Chaos at a carnival in Oakland over the weekend was caught on camera. The videos show a mob of people at a carnival taking anything they can get their hands on. It was more than just theft and vandalism. People were actually hurt. This happened over the weekend near the Oakland Coliseum. Carnival workers say they lost $30,000 worth of merchandise. Trying to make ends meet, the workers say they are so scared that KRON4 had to cover their faces and alter their voices for this story. Carnival employees say hundreds of teenagers were part of this violent mob. Cellphone video shows teenagers out of control and on the loose, stealing prize after prize at the Butler Carnival held in East Oakland on Saturday night. Workers are still scared. “One of our guys got hit with a brick and had to go to the hospital because the guy said you didn’t win and they threw a brick at him,” one worker said. And that was only some of the violence. This video was posted on Twitter. In it, a fight broke out. At one point, a young man is just laying on the ground. Police charge (black) man in fatal Over-The-Rhine shooting (of a White man)  CINCINNATI -- Police arrested a man suspected in a fatal shooting last month. Edward Smith, 25, is facing a murder charge in the death of Trevor Tiemann, police announced. The Fugitive Apprehension Unit arrested Smith Monday. Tiemann, 26, was shot near Liberty and Walnut in Over-the-Rhine Feb. 19. He was driven to University of Cincinnati Medical Center in critical condition, and later died from his injuries. Days after his death, Tiemann's family pledged to "make sure justice is served." “I will spend every day of my life on the courthouse steps or in that police station making sure nobody forgets my son, he was a beautiful young man,” his mom, Lisa Urz said. - (Black-on-white) |

(Black killer) Jonah Brown, 19, admits role in 2014 killing of (White) Gretna cab driver, gets 40 years in plea deal     The second of two men accused of shooting cab driver Blake Helmer to death in Gretna in 2014 pleaded guilty to manslaughter Monday in a deal with Jefferson Parish prosecutors. He was sentenced to 40 years in prison. Jonah Brown, who was set to go to trial this week on second-degree murder charges and faced life in prison, followed the example of Ivory Warren, who pleaded guilty last year and was also sentenced to 40 years in prison. Brown, 19, and Warren, 20, were accused of killing Helmer on Rupp Street after getting into his cab on April 29, 2014, and demanding money. Helmer refused to hand any over and was shot four times. He was still alive on the sidewalk when responding officers arrived, but he died later at the hospital. Prosecutors said Brown used a technique called “ghosting” to conceal the phone number he was using to hail taxis and then rob them. Helmer was one of his victims. According to the plea deal, Brown, who was sentenced by 24th Judicial District Judge Stephen Enright, also got 40 years for a conspiracy to commit armed robbery and 20 years on conspiracy to obstruct justice, though the sentences will run concurrently.
Also on Monday, Jordan Nibbs, who was not there the night of the killing but was charged with helping to conceal the crime, pleaded guilty to criminal mischief. - (Black-on-white) |

(Black) Man accused of rape turns himself in to Decatur police  DECATUR, GA - A man accused of statutory rape in Decatur has turned himself in to authorities. Police say an arrested warrant was obtained for 23-year-old Marcus Strong on March 9. The warrant was obtained in connection to a sexual assault that occurred at a Kroger on Commerce Drive on March 7, according to a spokesperson with the Decatur Police Department. Police say Strong turned himself in to authorities at 3:20 p.m. Friday. |
Black Thing, 73, arrested in assault of woman, 68, at homeless shelter SAN ANTONIO - A 73-year-old man was arrested for punching a 68-year-old woman twice in the mouth at a homeless shelter, an arrest affidavit said. The assault was reported Saturday in the courtyard at Haven For Hope at 1300 West Martin, the affidavit said. Police said the victim asked the suspect, A.C. Jefferson, why he had cursed at her the night before. Jefferson didn't want to talk with the victim, and punched her, the affidavit said. When questioned by detectives, Jefferson admitted to punching the victim because he said that she had her hand on his arm, the affidavit said. Jefferson is charged with injury to the elderly. |

In Showtime’s “Disgraced,” a documentary about the 2003 murder of Baylor basketball player Patrick Dennehy and the ex-coach’s attempt to cover up that he was paying for the slain player’s scholarship, Bliss stuck to his story, despite there being absolutely zero evidence of this. Bliss, who resigned at Baylor in 2003 after it was determined that he fabricated the drug-dealing story to skirt responsibility, claims he didn’t make up anything. “[Dennehy] was selling drugs. He sold to all the white guys on campus,” said Bliss, who thought his comments were off-camera. “…He was the worst.” In 2003, Dennehy was murdered by teammate Carlton Dotson, who shot him twice in the head. Dotson is serving a 35-year prison sentence. |

Javante Haynes, 22, Jyvariel Harvey, 20, Kentrell Lewis, 26, and Johnathan Darville, 25, were all indicted on second degree murder charges. Rachel Bueche, 37, was indicted for accessory after the fact to second degree murder. he shooting happened on Carrie Ln. near LA 74 in Geismar around 10 a.m. on Monday, January 9. It is believed the suspects were involved in an argument with the victim, Kermit Jackson, who later died on January 13. Charges were upgraded to second degree murder for the suspects believed to be involved in the shooting after the death of Jackson. |

(Dark Hispanic) Murder defendant Sergio Martinez extradited from New York  A 30-year-old man charged with murder in the 2015 death of a Redding man was arraigned Monday in Shasta County Superior Court after being extradited from New York City. Sergio Martinez is one of five men charged with murder, among other crimes, in the beating and stabbing death of 61-year-old Bradley Stephen Yoder, whose body was found Oct. 4, 2015, inside his Shasta View Drive home in Redding. Also charged with murder in Yoder's death are Felix Ruben Ayala, 37, of Shingletown, Felix "Phil" Ayala, 45, of Bronx, N.Y., Jose Orlando Luna, 52, of Shingletown and Elioenaid Rivera, 19, of Anderson. Rivera pleaded guilty in December to murder and a series of other crimes, including conspiracy and home invasion robbery, and is awaiting sentencing. Martinez, who is also charged with attempted murder, robbery and other felony counts, is scheduled to return to court on April 10 for the setting of his preliminary hearing, Shasta County Senior Deputy District Attorney Emily Mees said in a Facebook post. Authorities have said Yoder was brutally beaten and repeatedly stabbed during what's been described as a marijuana robbery. All the crimes the five men are accused of committing are marijuana related, Mees has said. |

Gitmo Murderer, Omar Khadr gets a 19-hour Operation for a Sore Shoulder - thanks to generous tax slaves of Canada  Former Guantanamo Bay inmate Omar Khadr is recovering from a 19-hour operation on a shoulder that was badly injured in Afghanistan 15 years ago, his lawyer, Dennis Edney, said Monday. The Toronto-born Khadr remained in intensive care at the University of Alberta hospital and it was not clear when he might be able to go home, Edney said in an interview from Edmonton. Three surgeons were involved in Friday's complicated surgery — first reported by the Globe and Mail — that Edney said should have been done years ago. "What they did was take bone from different parts of his legs and muscles from other parts of his body to try to rebuild his right shoulder," Edney said. "There's no prognosis — it's almost experimental in some ways, and hoping that it works." Khadr had gone into hospital expecting minor surgery that would have seen him back at school on Tuesday, Edney chuckled. Now 30, Khadr was horrifically injured as a 15-year-old in a four-hour bombardment and firefight with American soldiers, who captured him in Afghanistan in July 2002. In addition to the shoulder injuries, he was blinded in one eye and still has shrapnel in the other that threatens his sight. |

Police investigating after (White) boy beaten at suburban middle school (by black thug) GLENDALE HEIGHTS, Ill. -- Police are investigating the beating of a 12-year-old student at Marquardt Middle School in Glendale Heights. 6th grader Colonel Watson was assaulted by an older student and had to be taken to the emergency room at Glen Oaks Hospital Monday. He was treated and released from the hospital the same day. Colonel’s mother Rita Greiner says her son is traumatized. She says Colonel suffered a concussion, broken nose, facial fracture and had two teeth knocked out. According to Greiner, Colonel accidentally stepped on another student's shoe while waiting to board a bus at the school. “My son told me this boy punched him with all of his might and he's really scared to go back to school.” Greiner wants to know why no school officials were around to intervene. "The school seems to be acting like this is no big deal. They keep trying to pacify me," Greiner said. And she's questioning whether the attack was racially motivated. The 14 –year-old boy who punched her son is black. And, Colonel says a few months ago, the boy was with a group of other boys who called Colonel the N-word on the school bus. - (Black-on-white) |

(Dirty, diseased black) Man charged with attempted sodomy after grabbing 2-year-old girl toddler at playground KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One man is in custody charged with attempted sodomy after he allegedly assaulted a 2-year-old girl at a playground. That child’s mother managed to fight the man off. William L. Bates Jr., 24, of Kansas City, Mo., is charged with 1st degree attempted sodomy, and attempted statutory sodomy with a person less than 12 years old. Prosecutors said on Friday, Bates was at Kemp Playground near 9th and Harrison. A 2-year-old girl was playing on a swing when Bates, as the child’s mother told police, began “eyeballing” her children. The mother said Bates walked up behind and snatched the child off the swing, grabbing her by her hips and pulling her diaper down. The mother said she saw Bates lift his shirt and take his pants down, and begin thrusting against her daughter. The mother ran at him and knocked him to the ground. The mother continued to hit Bates while he was on the ground.
Bates eventually managed to get away and run from the park. The mother ran and had staff call police. Police arrested the man near the area, where he was found to be in possession of marijuana and an unidentified white vile of fluid with a chemical odor. |

Black boyfriend charged with murder of his white girlfriend's (White) 3-year-old son    CANTON --- A city man is facing murder and other charges, accused of beating a 3-year-old to death last fall. A secret indictment filed by a Stark County grand jury was made public Tuesday against Brent A. Fields, 26. It alleges he beat and abused his girlfriend's 3-year-old son, Owen Buggey, resulting in the child's death in October. "Any time you have a child victim, it's a terrible crime," Stark County Prosecutor John D. Ferrero said. Owen Buggey and his siblings were living in Canton with their mother, who was also arrested in October. The indictment accuses Fields of abusing the boy as far back as June and causing his death in mid-October. Fields, whose address was listed in court records as 1116 Hoover Place NW, was arrested in late October on a felony domestic violence charge and has remained jailed during the investigation into the child's death. Investigators charged Owen Buggey's mother, Ruth A. Buggey, with obstructing justice tied to the case. She has pleaded not guilty to the third-degree felony and is awaiting trial. - (Black-on-white) |

Shawn Donnell Sturdivant, 49, of Rocky Run Road in Jacksonville, was charged Monday with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; simple possession of marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia with the added charge of an open count of murder that was served on Wednesday. He remains at Onslow County Jail with no bond. He’s accused of shooting Joshua David Lindauer, 33, in the head in the front yard of 114 March Lane in Jacksonville around 4 p.m. Monday, said Maj. (Black) Quincy man guilty in 2013 killing of (White) Brockton man   BROCKTON – After a five-day trial, a Plymouth County Superior Court jury deliberated just three hours Friday before convicting a Quincy man for the 2013 killing of a Brockton man. Linanel Brown-Madison, 25, was found guilty of voluntary manslaughter in the death of 21-year-old Joshua LeClair of Brockton, along with one count each of unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of a loaded firearm. Brown-Madison dropped out of the city high school as a freshman in October 2008 and was charged a month later with illegal possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm with defaced serial numbers, illegal possession of ammunition and illegal possession of a large-capacity firearm. He later faced various firearm, assault and battery, forgery, larceny, identity fraud and driving with a suspended license charges in multiple cases. - (Black-on-white) |
