Black arrested for July murder of (White) Seymour Johnson airman  GOLDSBORO, North Carolina -- Goldsboro Police have finally made an arrest in the fatal shooting of an active duty Seymour Johnson AFB airman on July 31. On Friday, a warrant was obtained for murder charging Bobby Mandrell Williams, 36, in the death of Ryan Apollo Morgan, 32. The shooting happened about 2:30 a.m. in the 100 block of N. Center Street. Williams, of the 300 block of Main Street in Walstonburg, was already being held at the Greene County Detention Center on unrelated charges and now will remain in custody without bond pending his first appearance in Wayne County District Court on Tuesday. Investigators with the Goldsboro Police Department and Special Agents with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations at Seymour Johnson AFB continued to interview potential witnesses and follow up on leads. Morgan, an Alabama native, was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital where he died. Morgan spent nine years in the U.S. Air Force -- three of those at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. Morgan was also a sergeant in the Marines and did 3 tours in Iraq, his brother told ABC11 in July. - (Black-on-white) |
(Cowardly worthless black POS) Suspect accused of burglarizing Dania Beach home, pointing gun at (White) 74-year-old woman   DANIA BEACH, Fla. - A 35-year-old man was arrested Thursday after he forced his way inside a 74-year-old woman's Dania Beach home, pointed a gun to her head and tied her up while he burglarized the place, deputies said. Daniel Carter faces charges of armed home invasion and elderly abuse without great bodily harm. According to a Broward Sheriff's Office affidavit, Carter and two other armed men forced their way inside the woman's home on the evening of Dec. 10. Louise Pfister told deputies that one of the men, whom she later identified from a photographic lineup as Carter, put a gun to her head while she was sitting in the kitchen and told her to get out of the way. She said the gunmen demanded money from her and told her to cooperate or else she would be shot. "And the one dog would not stop barking ... and they were going to shoot her, too," Pfister said. "And I said, 'Don't shoot my doggie.'" Pfister said Carter forced her into her son's room, where he tied her hands and feet with a cable and left her on the ground while he and the other gunmen rummaged through her house. Norwood police say Michelle Bowman, 34, of Norwood was robbed of $250 while walking along Harris Avenue Tuesday just before 5 p.m. She’s now offering $500 cash for anyone who comes forward to police with information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the teen behind the robbery. “It happened fast, really fast. It was scary really. He just came up and started jerking and yanking (on her purse), and when it finally broke he took off running,” Bowman said. Bowman, who is blind in one eye, started chasing her robbers, and waved down a driver who called 911. The caller said, “They're running behind, right now behind the Salvation Army. They're behind the Salvation Army. I can't see them anymore. They're black. One has a red jacket on, one has a hoodie.” Bowman says she’s determined to help Norwood police catch these teens, offering a $500 reward, which is double the amount taken from her. (Black) Frayser man convicted of murder in (white) woman's death - after she refused to have sex with him  A Frayser man has been convicted of first-degree murder in the shooting death of a woman, according to Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich. Antonio Benson, 32, was sentenced to life in prison Friday afternoon. Benson was found guilty of killing 24-year-old Amy Hallmon around 1:30 a.m. on June 1, 2013 at a home in the 500 block of Burlington Circle. Witnesses said Benson and Hallmon began to argue after the victim refused to have sex. The victim hit Benson in the nose and he then pulled out a gun and said,” I feel sorry for your kids.” Benson shot Hallmon in the chest, shoulder and in the face. He then dragged her outside and left her in a pile of debris where he shot her two more times in the back. - (Black-on-white) |

Family and friends mourn 20-year-old (white) woman (that had black boyfriend and 2-yr-old son) - she was killed in triple homicide  KANSAS CITY, Mo. - One of the victims in Thursday night's triple homicide is the daughter of a former mayor from a suburb outside St. Louis. Ali Brown's family and friends across the state and locally are mourning her death. "I never thought I would have to bury my sister before my parents, ever," Trent Brown, her brother, said. Brown is heartbroken and still in disbelief after learning his sister, Ali, was killed. "It's just messed up that people have to do this to other people," Trent Brown said. Kansas City police said three suspects showed up at The Trails at The Ridge complex Thursday around 9:30 p.m. and opened fired inside one of the apartments. A couple and Ali Brown were fatally shot. The 20-year-old is the daughter of Shaun Brown, a former mayor in St. Peters, Missouri. Ashlyn Moeckli met Ali Brown in high school during their sophomore year. "She was very close. She was always a daddy's girl," Moeckli said. Over the phone Moeckli said Ali Brown moved to the Kansas City area to raise her 2-year-old son. "She just wanted to live somewhere new and start off new," Moeckli said. In Kansas City, Ali Brown also met Ryan Edwards, her boyfriend of more than a year. "She always brought me up when I was down, I try to do the same for her--the best thing that ever happened to me," Edwards said. As homicide detectives continue to track down leads, Ali Brown's family struggles with the new reality. "I don't know if three lives and all this was worth it, but I hope they get caught," Trent Brown said. Ali Brown's 2-year-old son and another victim remain in the hospital. |

The victim reported Thursday night that he had been raped by an inmate two different times this week, Webre said in a news release. Tre'Anthony James, 17, has been booked with two counts of second-degree rape. Black Serial rape suspect arrested days after release Accused rapist serial Joseph Beaty walked out of his house and immediately found himself in handcuffs Friday afternoon. Neighbors looked on as Irving SWAT officers made the arrest at his home on Tudor Lane in Irving. “There's kids everywhere,” said neighbor Monica Cuff. “I have three of my own. So it's really relieving and I'm thankful it was done quite fast and nobody got hurt.” State District Judge Rick Magnis issued a warrant Friday afternoon ordering Beaty's arrest after evidence came to light that he was trying to tamper with his electronic monitor and had been seen walking in the neighborhood in violation of the conditions of his house arrest. Beaty had been released two days earlier on personal recognizance bonds by Magnis after the Dallas-based Fifth Court of Appeals concluded that he was indigent and he could not come up with the money for $250,000 in bonds. He had been in jail since August 2015. He has been indicted in two 2009 rapes of prostitutes at knife-point. In a third case, he's accused of raping a woman in 2014 when he worked as the manager of halfway house. |

Officers arrested 24-year-old Travis Jermaine Godfrey for forcible rape. Fort Lee officials confirmed Godfrey is a Private First Class assigned to the 832nd Ordnance Battalion at the military base. |
Wanted black man arrested in DeKalb on rape, child molestation charges After two years of being on the run, a man was arrested Friday in DeKalb County and accused of raping a 14-year-old girl. Daquan Riley, 23, was wanted on child molestation and rape charges in the alleged January 2015 incident, U.S. Marshals spokesman Jim Joyner told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. According to authorities, Riley forced the girl to have sex with him against her will in College Park. The U.S. Marshals and Clayton County officials arrested Riley without incident at a DeKalb home at the intersection of South Hairston and Wesley Chapel roads, Joyner said. No other details were released. |

Smith University was arrested Thursday and charged with attempting to rape a fellow student. Jordan Westbrook, 20, is charged with attempted second-degree forcible rape and second-degree force sex offense. According to a police report, the incident happened Nov. 5 at Mosaic Village, apartments for students of the college near the campus. The victim told campus police she and Westbrook were in her room when he became upset and left. The report stated the victim said Westbrook, who knew the door code to her suite, returned that afternoon. The victim said Westbrook tried to force her to have sex with him. She kicked him in his genitalia. He then got dressed and left the room, the report stated. |
Mom gets probation for rape of her daughter's 13-year-old boyfriend DOVER, Del. — A 46-year-old woman was put on probation after pleading guilty to having sex with her daughter's 13-year-old boyfriend. Elaine B. Goodman of Dover, Del., faced up to 15 years in prison when she pleaded guilty in November in Kent County Superior Court, but Thursday the Honorable Robert B. Young took into account that this was "an aberration" and that Goodman has shown compassion not only in taking care of her elderly parents but also to others in the community. |

Police Say They ID'd Man in Banana Crash and Grab Newington police said they have identified the man suspected in a bizarre crime early Wednesday morning. They said he backed an SUV into a Connecticut gas station, stole a banana, ate it and left in the damaged vehicle. Police responded to the Citgo Gas Station, after a burglary alarm went off at 1:48 a.m. on Wednesday and noticed extensive damage to the doors, police said. When they reviewed surveillance video, they saw a light-colored Ford Freestyle station wagon with Connecticut registration plates back into the store door several times and break the glass. Then, a man went into the store, took a banana from a shelf, peeled it, ate the fruit and left the store, police said. The man did not take anything else, police said. He fled in the same car, which has damage to the driver’s side rear bumper and tail light. Police said today that they have identified him. Police said they will release the man's name if and when an arrest is made. |

Update: 7 (Chinese) women arrested in massage-prostitution sting       Several women accused of operating local massage parlors without an appropriate license, some of them with alleged clandestine prostitution services on the side, were arrested Tuesday evening in a sweep of St. George and Washington City businesses, the St. George Police Department announced Wednesday. The arrests include St. George residents Dong Ju Jin, who turns 46 this week; Feng Fang Li, 46; Jumei Qin, 47; and Yuxoang Wang, 58. Shanmei Olmstead, 47, lists an Oakhurst, Calif., address and two other suspects – Yuhua Liu, 47; and Li Ying, 49 – list residences in San Gabriel, Calif. An eighth woman, known only as “Vicki,” also has pending charges, but officers were unable to locate her. |
Chinese Woman sentenced in prostitution ring case A Covina woman charged in connection with a human trafficking ring that operated in Ventura County and other areas throughout California was sentenced Tuesday. Yiwen Wang, 43, appeared before Ventura County Superior Court Judge Bruce Young. Wang had pleaded guilty Dec. 6 to three counts of felony money laundering and one count of tax evasion. Authorities arrested Wang, her brother Hsin Chieh "Jerry" Wang, 40, and three others on Aug. 4 after a six-month investigation into an operation that allegedly forced 28 Chinese women into a prostitution ring at various motels throughout the state that included the Comfort Inn in Camarillo. |
70-year-old Non Resident (Chinese female) Alien Charged with Prostitution A 70-year-old woman was arrested and charged with prostitution after a police sting operation at a Jacksonville, Florida, massage parlor, reports say. The senior citizen charged with prostitution is identified as Sun Hee Gribat and is reportedly a non-resident alien and was found with a Missouri driver’s license during a police raid of the massage parlor named Jax Therapy, according to the Palm Beach Post. Gribat was arrested after allegedly asking an undercover officer if he wanted a sex act along with his massage. Police charge that Gribat offered sexual favors for an additional $60 on top of the $70 massage fee. |

James M. O’Brien, 59, of Berkeley, is wanted on charges of promoting prostitution out of the Redwoods Wellness Center on Lakehurst Road, in Toms River, and out of a private residence on Edgebrook Drive North in Berkeley. Police on Jan. 4 arrested Nina X. Meng, 56, the owner and proprietor of the supposed massage parlor, and charged her with the same crime. |
Armed (black demon soulless predators) killed beloved (White female) Cleveland bartender 'in cold blood,' prosecutor says  CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A group of armed robbers shot and killed a beloved Cleveland bartender at close range and "in cold blood," prosecutors said on Friday. Dana Thomas, 29, is accused of being part of the group. Thomas, who is charged with aggravated murder, made his first court appearance on Friday. Cleveland Municipal Judge Ronald Adrine set his bond at $500,000. Assistant Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Brian Murphy asked for a $1 million bond. The case was bound over to a Cuyahoga County grand jury. Murphy said during the hearing that Thomas was part of the group that killed bartender Melissa Brinker on Oct. 24 at Cooley's Lounge on West 130th Street. Murphy said a group of three people walked into the bar about 11:30 p.m. in order to case the bar to see if they'd be able to pull off the robbery. He said the group ordered drinks. The men pulled out guns and ordered Brinker and five others in the bar to the ground, Murphy said. The group pistol-whipped a 38-year-old woman, Murphy said. The group also stole wallets and purses from the five bar patrons, police said. They forced Brinker at gunpoint to a back office and ordered her to open a safe, Murphy said. Someone in the group then shot Brinker. She was taken to MetroHealth where she died. Thomas' DNA has been linked to three other homicides. - (Black-on-white) |

(Scary black) Man Accused Of Scaring (White) 76-Year-Old Woman To Death Following Home Invasion  EASTON, Pa. — A man is on trial on charges he scared an elderly woman so much during a home invasion robbery that she had a heart attack that night and died two months later. Quadir Taylor, 29, of Easton, acknowledges he helped others rob 76-year-old Carrie Smith in her Northampton County home in January 2012. But he disputes a prosecutor’s claims that the heart attack caused her eventual death. A forensic pathologist has concluded it led to her death. Philadelphia Schools Fined 2.3 Million For Blatant Anti-White Discrimination - by anti-White black racist female superintendent  A six year lawsuit involving security contracts going to companies based on the racial makeup of their owners has been settled, and the courts have found that a Philadelphia school district is guilty of racism against white people. The events happened in 2010 when a Newton based security firm, Security & Data Technologies Inc (SDT), was offered a $7.5 million no-bid contract to install security cameras in multiple schools, labeled as ‘persistently dangerous,’ in the Philadelphia area. As SDT was finishing the preliminary work, Superintendent Arlene Ackerman, who passed away in 2013, chose to award the contract to Philadelphia based security firm, IBS Communications by claiming it to be an emergency contract. The investigation into the matter discovered that there was no emergency that was taking place, as these emergency contracts are generally reserved for things like a tornado, floods, or other natural disasters. According to John Byars,a former top district procurement official, Superintendent Ackerman, who President Obama once praised as doing a “great job,” was unhappy with the racial makeup of the people at the top of SDT, and wanted to award the contract to a company headed by a minority.
Byars claims that Ackerman stated a change in plans so that, “all these white boys didn’t get contracts.”

Germany: African Migrant Sentenced for Rape of 15-Year-Old Girl A 24-year-old Ghanian asylum seeker has been sentenced to three years and two months in prison after admitting to having raped a 15-year-old girl last summer in the German city of Duisburg. According to the prosecutors the 24-year-old Ghanian, who had been living in an asylum home, had raped the 15-year-old girl in August of last year, reports Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung. Initially, the man refused to admit he attacked the young girl, claiming that the incident never happened. He then admitted there had been sexual relations between him and his victim which he claimed had been consensual. Later on in the trial, the asylum seeker admitted to the court that he had raped her.Migrant perpetrated sex crimes are an issue in Germany and is a growing problem in neighbouring Austria. According to reports, the number of sex attacks carried out by men of a migrant background has increased 133 per cent of the past year. |
Infant kidnapped from hospital found safe 18 years later A newborn kidnapped from a hospital in Florida in 1998 has been found safe in South Carolina – and the woman who posed as her mother for nearly two decades has been arrested, authorities said Friday. Kamiyah Mobley, who was snatched from a hospital in Jacksonville on July 10, 1998, has been found safe after authorities received a series of tips through the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, Jacksonville Sheriff Mike Williams told reporters during a news conference. The woman Mobley had been living with, Gloria Williams, 51, was arrested and charged with kidnapping and interference with custody. She will be extradited. |

Shinobia Montoria Wright, a blogger who has no criminal record in the area, was charged with aggravated battery, battery that could cause bodily harm, burglary of an occupied structure, criminal mischief and reckless driving. (Black female) Subway rider punches elderly woman in fight over seat A 64-year-old woman was beat up by a fellow straphanger during a clash over a seat on a Queens subway train, authorities said. The women argued on a northbound E train when they both tried to claim a seat as it was nearing the Roosevelt Avenue station around 7 p.m. Tuesday. The suspect, believed to be about 30-years-old, then started punching the woman several times in the face. John Raymond Afzal was taken into custody on two counts of public indecency and one count of public nudity around 6:30 a.m. Friday. He was arrested after police were called to the Missionaries of Charity building in the 2400 block of East 10th Street on a report of a possible suspect from a vandalism report made the previous day. Witnesses said Afzal was parked outside of the mission in a vehicle fondling himself while looking at the nuns who reside in the mission. |
Black Sports: Former Parkview Coach Pleads Guilty to Sexual Relationship With Former Student  LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- A former Parkview high school football coach has pleaded guilty to first-degree sexual assault. 45-year-old William Hardiman admits to having sex with a student who was 17 at the time. He entered the plea Thursday in Pulaski County Circuit Court. Parkview's principal, Dr. Dexter Booth, contacted police with a letter he received in the mail with no return address or name. The letter stated that the teacher had the relationship with the student during the 2014-2015 school year and that their relationship began when the student was a minor. Hardiman faces a possible sentence of between six to 30 years in prison and a fine of up to $15,000 on the class A felony charge. He was also ordered to register as a sex offender. |
(Black) Smith Co. man sentenced to life for aggravated sexual assault of child SMITH COUNTY, TX - A Smith County jury handed down a guilty verdict to a defendant on Friday. Tony White, 58, was given a life sentence for continuous aggravated sexual assault of a child, according to the district attorney's office. Smith will serve a life sentence in prison for the act, which was committed on the child for a period from October 2015 through January 2016, according to the indictment. According to the indictment, White also had previous felony drug charges in the county. |
Black Man, 72, Charged With Sexually Abusing CFD Paramedic In Ambulance  CHICAGO — A 72-year-old man who was injured in a South Side crash sexually abused a paramedic in an ambulance with him on the way to a hospital Wednesday night, according to Chicago Police. Roy U. Hall, 72, faces felony charges of aggravated battery of a protected employee and attempted criminal sexual abuse, police said. About 9:20 p.m., Hall was being taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital after a crash near 33rd Street and King Drive when he “battered and sexually abused” a 36-year-old woman who was treating him in the ambulance, police said. The Chicago Fire Department paramedic suffered minor injuries and was later treated and released from the hospital, police said. |

Police said the juvenile, who reported the assault, is known to James, who was held on $12,000 cash-only bail. James was scheduled for arraignment Monday in Nashua circuit court. |
Family of (black) man killed by Newport News police agrees to settle lawsuit for $6,700 - (shouldn't have gotten anything) NORFOLK — The City of Newport News will spend $6,700 to settle a federal lawsuit brought by the family of a 23-year-old man shot and killed by police during a foot chase 18 months ago, lawyers from both sides told a federal judge at a hearing on Friday. But the deal wasn't formally approved on Friday, as a judge is still attempting to resolve a dispute over exactly who should get the money. Though Kawanza J. Beaty's family had initially asked for $10 million in damages when they filed the lawsuit in late 2015, the case grew weaker during the past year, in part because the family and their lawyer couldn't find any witnesses to back their contention that police killed Beaty wrongfully in the early morning hours of July 4, 2015. Beaty had raised a shotgun toward one officer, and that Newport News Police Detective Randy J. Gibson was therefore justified in killing him. |

(Black) Man Shot By Tampa Officer Identified  TAMPA, FL — The Tampa Police Department is investigating a Thursday morning shooting involving one of its own. According to the agency, police were called to the 1000 block of East 25th Avenue just before 11 a.m. about a burglary in progress. “Officers responded to the scene where they encountered the suspect inside the home,” the agency wrote in an email to media. That suspect has been identified as Joey Antonio Kennedy, 40. Three officers and K9 Indo entered the house. Indo, the email said, engaged Kennedy who "tossed a flaming accelerant on the K9 and on the K9 officer." Officer Tim Bergman, a 12-year agency veteran, was in fear for his life and "opened fire." |
Sketch Released Of Suspect In Murder of 81-Year-Old Woman  Memphis Police have released a sketch of the suspect in the murder of an 81-year-old woman, who was killed Sunday while leaving her son’s apartment. Catherine Wicker was leaving the Sycamore Lakes Apartments on Forest Hill Court about 5:40 p.m. Sunday, when police say a man tried to take her purse. Police say the suspect and Wicker struggled, and a witness stepped in and was able to get Wicker’s purse away from the robber. Police say the suspect jumped into a car, and tried to run over the intervening witness, but hit Wicker. Dragging her body under the car and through the parking lot. She was taken to Regional One, where she died. |

Black Man Accused of Killing AC Woman Arrested In North Carolina  ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. —Police in North Carolina have arrested a man wanted for the murder of an Atlantic City woman, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office has announced. Joseph McCoy, 43, of Atlantic City was captured in Charlotte, North Carolina on Wednesday after being on the run for weeks. On December 20, 2016, police responded to the 300 block of North Tennessee Ave. in Atlantic City where they found Jacqueline Hoyle, 23, dead from a single gunshot wound. McCoy is facing charges of first degree murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. |

Black boyfriend of white woman charged with murder of her 1-year-old mixed race daughter  IRVING, Texas -- A man is facing charges in connection with the death of his girlfriend's 1-year-old daughter. Allante Edwards, 19, is being held in the Irving Jail on two charges of injury to a child. Those charges have been dropped, but he now faces a capital murder charge. Edwards called Irving PD on Jan. 4 and reported Olivia Cangemi was unresponsive at a home in the 1900 block of Rosebud Drive. Edwards had been babysitting Olivia and her two siblings, a 3-year-old girl and 6-month-old boy, Allante, Jr. She was taken to Children’s Medical Center, where she was found to have a severe brain injury and signs of other internal injuries. She later died after being removed from life support. According to a police report, Olivia had brain swelling, healing rib fractures, and possible abdominal trauma. An evaluation of her siblings found that Allante, Jr. also had injuries from being assaulted, including a bite mark on his cheek. Detectives interviewed Edwards about the events surrounding the children's injuries, but say he changed his story. They also say that he has a previous history of domestic abuse. They arrested Edwards for injury to a child. The children's mother, Jennifer Cangemi, tearfully spoke. |

| Update: Lies, life insurance part of murder investigation leading to arrest of two Fayetteville men Lies and life insurance policies factored into an investigation into a woman's killing in November, culminating in the arrest of two men by Fayetteville police Thursday. One of the men was the woman's fiance. David Martin, 45, and Antonia Monroe, 52, both of Fayetteville, are each charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder in Albana Nika's death, a news release said. Martin was engaged to Nika. Martin claimed to have married Nika and received her will. He also said that there would not be an autopsy performed on his wife "due to religious beliefs." Police were unable to find proof that Nika and Martin were married. An autopsy was ordered due to the nature of Nika's death. - (Black-on-white) |

Emotions Flare At SF Town Hall Following Police Shooting Of Mentally-Ill (Black) Man Police officials described the events that led up the wounding of 40-year-old Sean Moore, a black man who, according to his family, suffers from schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Moore allegedly kicked one of the officers in the face and retreated back into the house, according to police. Within seconds, police said Moore then came back out of the house, threw the paperwork onto the stairs leading to the sidewalk and was struck with a baton by one of the officers as both moved to arrest him. Moore, who is described as a large man, allegedly punched one of the officers in the face at that point and was advancing on the other officer, who then shot him twice, police said. |

Illegal alien wetback in slaying of 70-year-old White female local musician had been deported twice, was caught with 50 pounds of pot  Anticipating a cleaning crew's morning arrival last summer, longtime Las Vegas musician Mary Trimble left her door unlocked before going to bed. It's in her bed where two women who showed up for the appointment found Trimble's body face-down — her feet and hands tied and her mouth gagged. The townhouse also had been ransacked, according to court documents obtained this week. Hours before the appointment and during the early-morning hours of July 20, a man who lived and had children with one of the two cleaning women showed up to Trimble’s house with at least one other person to burglarize it, Metro Police said. The burglars took jewelry, a cellphone, items from Trimble’s purse and prescription medication. The 70-year-old Trimble — whose house is in a gated community near Desert Inn and Mojave roads — died of asphyxiation, according to the Clark County coroner’s office. When Jorge Vasquez-Rivero was arrested toward the end of last year by the FBI on an illegal-re-entry warrant — because he had twice been deported, in 2005 and 2009 — agents found him in possession of 50 pounds of marijuana, police said. |

(Drunk/high black female) Huntsville woman charged with murder in drunken crash that killed (White) Alabama man  A Huntsville woman has been charged with murder and driving under the influence in connection with a 2015 wreck that left a 20-year-old dead just days before Christmas. Mary Jean Williams, 54, was indicted by a Limestone County grand jury in the death of Jordan Tyler Berryhill, 20, of Danville, said Limestone County District Attorney Brian Jones. Jones said Williams was drunk and high at the time of the crash. "We present all death cases like this to the grand jury to see if they indict," Jones told AL.com. Berryhill died after being taken to Huntsville Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash that occured on Interstate 565 at Greenbrier Road Dec. 20, 2015. Berryhill was riding a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle along with a group of other riders as they were heading home from eating at Cheddar's Cafe on University Drive in Huntsville. The other riders told police Williams hit Berryhill when she crossed both westbound lanes of traffic from the left pull-off lane next to the barrier wall across to the right shoulder, according to a state trooper crash report obtained by The Decatur Daily. Williams, who was driving a 2004 Lexus, told police she was driving west on I-565, turned her blinker on and started to merge into the right lane when the crash occurred, according to the report. Police said Berryhill was riding in the right lane. "She literally just shot straight across both lanes," witness Jill Smiley, a family friend of Berryhill's, told The Daily. "After she hit him, he flew off the bike, and her car ran over him. I was riding on the back of my husband's bike right behind Tyler." (Black female) Caregiver draws probation, judge’s ire for stealing (from elderly White couple)  Detroit — A caregiver received strong rebuke from a Wayne County judge Wednesday during her sentencing for stealing thousands of dollars from a 93-year-old Grosse Pointe man. “This is unbelievable,” Wayne County Circuit Judge David Groner said of the crime and original sentence for Dell Kimbrough, a Grosse Pointe Woods resident. Groner ordered Assistant Wayne County Prosecutor Latoya Willis and defense attorney Todd Perkins into immediate negotiations with the defendant and the family to come up with a revised sentencing agreement, saying: “I want justice.” Initially, Kimbrough was ordered to pay back $12,000 in monthly installments of $250 and placed on 18 months’ probation. Willis and Perkins agreed to a sentence of five years probation and $15,000 in restitution to be paid to Victor “Bud” Taylor and his wife, Mary. Kimbrough must pay $3,000 within 45 days. Police: Robbery (black) Suspect Accused Of Shooting At Elderly Man Outside Fort Smith Restaurant Arrested   FORT SMITH — A man accused of following an elderly man from a local casino and shooting at him during a robbery has been arrested, according to police. John Taylor Jr., 29, was arrested during a traffic stop near the 2200 block of South 17th Street. He was arrested on felony parole violation, and on suspicion of felony aggravated robbery and possession of a firearm by a certain person. He was booked about 3:50 a.m. Thursday, into the Sebastian County Detention Center, where he remains without bond, according to the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office. Taylor was identified as the suspect by witnesses at the casino, said Sgt. Daniel Grubbs with the Fort Smith Police Department. Taylor followed Ernest Schlinker, 71, from Choctaw Casino in Pocola after Schlinker cashed his winnings. |

TOMS RIVER, N.J. —A man accused of running a heroin facility in New Jersey is now facing charges, Toms River police have announced. Kevin Porter, 27, of Newark was arrested and charged in December following a month long investigation into the alleged distribution of heroin. Police say they executed a search warrant at the Winteringham Village apartment building and a residence in the 100 block of Philadelphia Avenue in Lavallette where they uncovered a “full manufacturing facility where heroin was being mixed, packaged and stamped by Porter for resale.” The arrest of Porter led to the seizure of 250 wax folds of heroin, 50 grams of powder heroin and $750. |

(Black) Teen Arrested for Murder of (White) Balch Springs Father A North Texas teenager is behind bars, accused of murdering a Balch Springs man who had just become a father. Balch Springs police announced the arrest of the 16-year-old during a news conference Wednesday. Because he is a juvenile, state law prevents them from releasing his name or picture. Department spokesperson Officer Pedro Gonzalez said the teen is the only suspect in the shooting death of Robert Eames, who was killed Dec. 26. That night, the 30-year-old was in his home at the Autumn Run Apartments when he heard the alarm in his Hummer go off. Police said he went outside to investigate, which is when he saw the teen and confronted him. Moments later, his fiancee Stephanie Garza heard three gunshots from inside the apartment. When she ran outside, she found Eames on the ground near the stairs and saw the teen take off on foot. Eames was rushed to the hospital, where he later died. St. Charles Sheriff: (black) Suspect arrested, believed to have 'brutally' killed (White) Metairie man during robbery   One man has been arrested and booked with first degree murder after a Metairie man was killed on his way to work Monday morning. Jerel Smith was arrested Wednesday morning in connection with the slaying of Ryan Dubuc, according to St. Charles Parish officials, and was also accused of armed robbery and carjacking. "Dubuc was robbed and brutally murdered for as little as 80 dollars in cash," St. Charles Parish Sheriff Greg Champagne said during a press conference Wednesday afternoon. Dubuc, 28 of Metairie, was on his way to his job as an electrician in St. Charles Parish when he stopped at a Valero in Luling. A man was then seen entering his vehicle. Dubuc's body was found by the side of Highway 3160 in Hahnville. His truck was found hours later in a sugar cane field in the Belle Point subdvision in LaPlace. Champagne said he thinks Smith saw Dubuc withdraw money from an ATM, and then asked Dubuc for a ride, going on to describe Dubuc as a "kind soul. Deputies believe Dubuc was shot shortly after the pair left the gas station. The sheriff's office said Dubuc was shot four times in the head at close range. - (Black-on-white) |

Kansas City man sentenced to 28 years in prison for murder  KANSAS CITY, MO - A Kansas City man was sentenced to 28 years Wednesday after he pleaded guilty to murder. Lorenzo D. Washington, 30, admitted to the Jan. 30, 2016 murder of Thomas E. Kuzila Jr. Washington entered pleas to second-degree murder and armed criminal action. A Jackson County judge sentenced him to 28 years on the second-degree murder conviction and three years on the armed criminal action, with both sentences sent to run concurrently. Kuzila, 52, was found shot to death in an alley in the 100 block of Brooklyn Avenue, according to police. Investigators believed his pickup truck was stolen after the shooting. - (Black-on-white) |

State dismisses death penalty against evic racist black convict for vicious murder of a White inmate bludgeoned to death  The First Judicial Circuit State Attorney's Office has abandoned, for now, its effort to have confessed killer Shawn Rogers sentenced to death. Rogers pleaded guilty in September 2015 to the vicious jailhouse murder of Ricky Martin, who was tied up, stripped naked and bludgeoned with a sock full of batteries. A news release issued by the State Attorney's Office Monday said the decision has been made to "nolle pros," or discontinue, its death penalty case against Rogers. The release voiced frustration with recent Florida Supreme Court rulings regarding imposition of the death penalty. "As a result of recent rulings by the Florida Supreme Court, concerns have been raised regarding the procedures to be used in death penalty cases," the release said. "This case has been dismissed because of those concerns." The release said that the State Attorney's Office would "re-indict" Rogers "once new legislation is passed by the Florida Legislature establishing new procedures to be used in death penalty cases." Rogers was serving a life prison sentence for armed robbery and battery when he attacked and killed Martin, his cellmate of 36 hours, at the Santa Rosa County Correctional Institute. He will remain incarcerated, the release said. The Miami Herald wrote an in-depth article about Martin's death, calling into question a Florida correctional system that allowed the much smaller Martin to be placed in a cell with Rogers, who had a history of committing acts of violence on other inmates. Martin's killing occurred after word had filtered into the prison about the death of Trayvon Martin at the hands of neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman. Rogers was reported to have made comments along the lines of "this is for Trayvon Martin" as he beat Ricky Martin, a white man. - (Black-on-white) |
