DNA evidence linked crime scenes in Zionsville murder, IMPD district office shootings - racist black murdered 82-year-old White man INDIANAPOLIS - DNA evidence played a crucial role in the apprehension of a murder suspect Monday. Damoine Wilcoxson is accused of several high-profile crimes, from the murder of a Zionsville man to shooting at police district offices. He was arrested Monday after an hours-long standoff with police, during which time he's accused of firing shots at officers while his young child was with him inside the apartment. Wilcoxson's own alleged crime spree is what helped police link him to these crimes. The bullets fired at IMPD's Northwest District were a ballistics match to those fired at north district and those used in the killing of 82-year-old John "Jac" Clements in Zionsville. - (Black-on-white) |

Brutal sucker-punch (by black thug) leads to (White) man’s death The NYPD is looking for a killer who walked up to a stranger and punched him for apparently no reason. Authorities are looking for two suspects in connection with the sucker punch attack of a Queens man just after midnight on June 26th. His family says he had taken a bus home after attending a Baltimore Orioles game. The NYPD released new surveillance video Wednesday of the assault, which police said happened outside 64-year-old Patrick Gorman’s home on the corner of Queens Boulevard and Main Street just after midnight on June 26. In the video, police said a man can be seen approaching Gorman and punching him in the head, knocking him to the ground. The man is then joined by a woman and calmly walks away as Gorman is seen struggling to get up. Gorman was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where he died nine hours later after suffering a stroke and brain hemorrhage. Police said this was an accidental encounter that ended in the punch and that the victim did not know his attacker. The deeply religious man — a member of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs in Forest Hills — had just returned from the game when he was sucker punched near his apartment. “It looks like they are laughing it off,” Gorman Palilla said of the surveillance footage. Police described the first suspect as a black man in his 30s with short hair. He was seen wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts, sneakers and was holding a black bag. Investigators believe the woman is his girlfriend. She was described as having short hair with glasses and was seen wearing a white T-shirt, jeans and sandals. - (Black-on-white) |

Black who raped and murdered 84-year-old White woman avoids death penalty gets five life sentences HALIFAX CO., Va. The man convicted of killing a Halifax County woman in 2011 has avoided the death penalty. On Monday, James Terry was sentenced to five life sentences in prison for the murder of Charlotte Rice. In March, Terry pleaded guilty to several charges in connection to the death of Rice. Terry's attorneys argued that he has an intellectual disability. In a statement, they said pursuing a capital murder sentence for Terry was a waste of public resources and a disservice to Halifax County. His attorneys say they proposed a life sentence for Terry in June 2013. Special prosecutor Bryan Haskins and Rice's family said Monday they are disappointed in the judge's decision. "He deserved the death penalty. When you spend as much time in jail and in prison as he has you become a real good con-artist on how to pull this off," said Judy Thompson, Charlotte Rice's niece. - (Black-on-white) |

A friend of Kauffman who hadn’t heard from him in a few days went to check on him at Union Apartments, 4450 S. Hualapai Way, and found the couple dead at 12:40 p.m. Thursday. The couple had been dead at least a day, police investigators said, but they didn’t identify the couple. But the woman’s employer, the Palm restaurant at the Forum Shops at Caesars, released a statement Friday that read, “We are devastated to hear about the passing of Sydney Land and Neo Kauffman.” Land’s mother, Connie Land, said her daughter had a beautiful soul. “Evidence at the scene suggests that there may be two adult male suspects,” police said. |

Shonquavious Dequan Mitchell, of a Riggins Mill Road address, is charged in connection with a rape reported Oct. 12. According to an incident report from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, a 31-year-old woman called police to her apartment complex about 4:30 p.m. that day to report her daughter had been raped. The woman told a deputy she’d left her daughter and two other children at the apartment to go to work about two hours before her call, the report said. A person only referred to as “Woodie” had come to the apartment while she was gone, the woman told the deputy. The woman’s daughter said Woodie “got her to go to the back room,” the report said. The woman told the deputy her daughter would only say “he forced me to.” |

(Black) Northwood man loses first-degree murder appeal - he stabbed his (white) girlfriend to death NORTHWOOD — A Northwood man has lost his appeal of a first-degree murder conviction. Tyrone Washington Jr., 42, was charged with fatally stabbing Justina Smith, 30, in Swensrud Park in Northwood on Aug. 5, 2013. During his trial testimony Washington claimed Smith, a Northwood resident he had been romantically involved with that summer, pulled a knife on him in the park and he grabbed it from her and acted in self-defense. A Webster County jury found him guilty of first-degree murder. He is now serving life in prison without the possibility of parole. Washington is black. The trial was moved to Webster County due to concerns over the low number of black Worth County residents for a jury pool. - (Black-on-white) |
