Elderly (White) woman beaten, set on fire (by blacks) dies after weeks in hospital MERIWEATHER COUNTY, GA - An elderly woman that was attacked during a home invasion has died after spending weeks in the hospital. According to family members, 83-year-old Dorothy Dow had been on a ventilator since the incident occurred at her home in Lone Oak in early August. Meriwether County Sheriff's Office officials said the suspects forced their way into her home, beat her, poured something on her and set her on fire. "Once they entered the home, one individual entered her bedroom where she was already in bed," said Meriwether County Sheriff Chuck Smith. He says one man started beating Dow with a gun, breaking several bones in her hand and forearm. She was then set on fire by another suspect. Dow crawled around on the floor of her home searching for a gallon of water she had near a breathing machine, eventually found it and then put the fire out. She then found her cell phone and dialed 911. "With one hand broken and her arm broken in four places, she pulled the top off of a gallon of water, poured it over her head and put out the fire," said Dorothy's daughter-in-law Beth Dow. "She then drug herself into the den on her broken arms to get to her cellphone to call 911. She said, 'I thought they were going to kill me'. They told her that she was never going to see her sons again." Dow had several surgeries due to her injuries which included broken bones and severe burns. She later passed away. Justin Grady, Cortavious Heard, Shanquavious Cameron, Mina Ellery and Angel Harmon face a range of charges, including attempted felony murder, aggravated assault, armed robbery, first-degree criminal attempted arson, first-degree burglary and battery. - (Burned Alive!) - (Black-on-white) |

The Chester Police Department were looking for Richard Johnson and Erinn Howarth (possibly the housekeeper of) 75-year-old Dennis McCarthy. When he told them he didn't know it, they "tied (his) hands and feet with cords ... ransacked the bedroom ... tried to beat open the safe." McCarthy's 49-year-old daughter, who came home during the incident, was "severely beaten, bleeding badly." Trenton's "Liberian Community" mourning loss of black man shot dead by a black Off-Duty Trenton Police Officer at funeral party An off-duty Trenton police officer's altercation with a man Saturday night ended with the man dead of a gunshot wound to the chest. Alfred Toe, 34, his brother Constantine Toe, 30, and the off-duty officer were attending a repast celebration following a funeral earlier in the day, according to witnesses. "He was with us drinking," said James Alpha, Toe's friend. "Nobody knew he was an officer." Alfred Toe got in a dispute with someone else at the party. He then allegedly went into his brother Constantine's car to grab a gun. That's when Constantine Toe confronted him and tried to wrestle the gun out of his hand, officials said. During the struggle, Constantine was shot in the hand but managed to get the gun away from his brother, according to investigators. Witnesses say that Alfred Toe, who did not know the man was a police officer, then jumped in and tried to grab the officer's gun. He was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
