Gruesome details emerge in north side home invasion by pack of six blacks INDIANAPOLIS - Court documents released Monday outlined a Tuesday home invasion on the north side. It paints a picture of a nightmarish home invasion, repeated rape, gunshots and robbery. It was early morning on Oct. 29 when, according to police, six suspects entered the family's home. Detectives said during the investigation it was discovered there was no forced entry but alluded to unsecured back doors that had structural issues. The suspects started in the parent's bedroom, yelling to give them money. That woke up the daughter and began a long, gruesome period of crime. Eventually suspects drove the mother to an ATM to get money, and while in the car she was sexually assaulted. The mother was also shot twice — once in the upper leg, and once in her foot while trying to escape. Meanwhile, in the home, the daughter was being repeatedly raped by multiple suspects. When the mother returned, the daughter was then forced to go to an ATM with another suspect. While in the car, the daughter told detectives the suspect "talked to her about previously attending North Central." The daughter told detectives the suspect "resembled someone she knew." Throughout the whole ordeal, the father remained in bed. Police say he has a medical condition that makes moving difficult. The suspects eventually left with all three of the family's vehicles, cash and belongings. Fingerprints led police to the three suspects: Alexander Dupree, Trae Spells and a person of interest, Michael Pugh. |

Second black gets life without parole in Valero double-murder (of White and Hispanic) FORT WORTH — A second man has been sentenced to life in prison without parole in the murder of a 70-year-old bread deliveryman and a convenience store clerk. Tyrone Pierre Thomas, 27, of Fort Worth was convicted of capital murder. The life sentence was automatic because the district attorney’s office did not seek the death penalty. Thomas was arrested for his role in the slayings of Jerry Burnett, a 70-year-old Mrs Baird’s Bread delivery driver and Daniel Rojas-Torres, a convenience store clerk, during a robbery at a Valero convenience store. Burnett died 10 days after the shooting. Rojas-Torres, who was shot execution-style even though he complied with the robbers’ demands, died within minutes. Thomas was one of three masked men who entered a Valero Convenience store on March 23, 2010. Kwame Rockwell shot the two while Thomas poured gasoline throughout the store. Thomas was interrupted by a customer before the gasoline could be ignited. Rockwell, one of five people charged in the case, was convicted in January 2012 and sentenced to death. Randy Seibel, 38, is serving a life prison sentence with no chance for parole. Chance Smith, a participant in the robbery who confessed to his role as one of the lookout men, received a 20-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to aggravated robbery and agreeing to testify for the state. Black suspect in cellphone robbery arrested after stolen phone captures face, location Auburn, Wash. — Kailen Hall, 26, is in jail for investigation of robbery in the second degree. Jeremy Risinger said Hall grabbed his cell phone on a street corner in Auburn last Saturday and then threatened to pull out a gun and shoot him. Risinger said, "it just upset me, because I don't take to threats kindly." He was more angry than scared, but quickly got his revenge. Risinger bought a new Samsung Galaxy smartphone and pulled up an ap he subscribed to called Look Out Mobile Security. The ap had snapped Hall's photo with the stolen phone when it sensed someone was trying to unlock it. It also gave Risinger the location where the picture was taken, within a few feet of Hall's apartment. Then Risinger went to his own Dropbox site on the web, where every photo taken with the stolen phone was automatically uploaded. There he found 39 still images and a couple of videos that were presumably taken by the guy who robbed him. Risinger said, "I started laughing really hard out loud and I was just like, what an idiot, I can't believe I actually got it." Auburn police recognized the face in many of the pictures, because they've arrested Kailen Hall before. They simply went to his apartment and arrested him again. - (Black-on-white) |
